We consider a two-field model for inflation where the second order metric perturbations can be amplified by a parametric resonance during preheating. We demonstrate that there can arise a considerable enhancement of non-Gaussianity sourced by the local terms generated through the coupled perturbations. We argue that the non-Gaussianity parameter could be as large as f(NL) approximately 50. Our results may provide a useful test of preheating in future cosmic microwave background experiments.  相似文献

针对双模扰动下的烧蚀瑞利-泰勒不稳定性增长问题,采用高精度的数值计算方法,研究了不同预热程度下模耦合产生的多个高次谐波幅值的发展和演化问题。研究表明,三种预热烧蚀条件下,当扰动基模满足长波与短波耦合方式时,谐波中的长波模态占主导,而短波模发展明显受到抑制;当满足短波与短波耦合时,耦合结果带来了许多新的增长较快的长波模态,此时短波模增长呈现小幅震荡形式。比较两种耦合方式可以发现,长波结构在烧蚀瑞利-泰勒不稳定性弱非线性阶段都占主导地位,尤其是短波与短波耦合中气泡与尖钉表现出不同于两个基模的长波模结构。进一步分析预热效应对模耦合增长的影响,发现预热程度越强就越能削弱耦合谐波的增长,这说明预热对烧蚀瑞利-泰勒不稳定性具有致稳作用,这对惯性约束聚变工程中控制烧蚀瑞利-泰勒不稳定性发展具有重要意义。  相似文献

Laser texturing is a novel technique that may be used to texture a cold roller in the process of manufacturing high quality steel sheets. With the aim of improving the quality of the textured roller by using a CO2 laser, a new laser beam modulating device is proposed. An optical beam expander with a fast rotating chopper system is designed. The laser pulse is split into two parts by the chopper blades; one is the preheating pulse that is reflected onto optical loop mirrors; the other is the directly transmitted pulse that creates the craters at the preheated spots. The preheating beam focus spot size and position can be adjusted. The focusing characteristics and optical parameter compensation for the flying optics are investigated. The heat transfer and melt process of laser texturing are numerically simulated. The effects of the double pulses on the texturing are analyzed. The effect of preheating the sample ahead of the laser texturing pulse is examined. The surface profile and bump hardness show improvements by using this approach.  相似文献

Preheating describes the stage of rapidly depositing the energy of cosmological scalar field into excitations of other light fields. This stage is characterized by exponential particle production due to the parametric resonance. We study this process in the frame of matter bounce cosmology. Our results show that the preheating process in bouncing cosmology is even more efficient than that in inflationary cosmology. In the limit of weak coupling, the period of preheating is doubled. For the case of normal coupling, the back-reaction of light fields can lead to thermalization before the bouncing point. The scenario of matter bounce curvaton could be tightly constrained due to a large coupling coefficient if the curvaton field is expected to preheat the universe directly. However, this concern can be greatly relaxed through the process of geometric preheating.  相似文献

It is shown that not only adiabatic perturbations of the density but also isothermal density perturbations are generated in the inflationary universe. In this paper, solutions to the problem of the radiative relaxation of temperature perturnations in an inhomogeneous, optically finite atmosphere are obtained. The properties of these indicate that there are only certain perturbations that decay at constant rates without changing their shape. These elementary perturbations constitutive the radiative eigenfunctions for the atmosphere and can be utilized to represent perturbations of arbitrary initial shape, whose relaxation can be studied following the relaxation of its expansion in radiative eigenfunctions. The basic solutions for the inhomogeneous atmosphere (i.e., an atmosphere in which the mixing ratio, temperature or band width varies with height) are found in terms of the radiative eigenfunctions for a homogeneous model atmosphere in which the variable parameters have been replaced by averages. The solution for arbitrary initial perturbations is applied to a model of stratospheric warming (for the decaying phase). It is found that there is no perturbation in the stratosphere that can last longer than 30–35 days.  相似文献

In order to investigate the microstructure characteristics and properties of Ni-based WC composite coatings containing a relatively large amount of WC particles by laser induction hybrid rapid cladding (LIHRC) and compare to the individual laser cladding without preheating, Ni60A + 35 wt.% WC composite coatings are deposited on A3 steel plates by LIHRC and the individual laser cladding without preheating. The composite coating produced by the individual laser cladding without preheating exhibits many cracks and pores, while the smooth composite coating without cracks and pores is obtained by LIHRC. Moreover, the cast WC particles take on the similar dissolution characteristics in Ni60A + 35 wt.% WC composite coatings by LIHRC and the individual laser cladding without preheating. Namely, the completely dissolved WC particles interact with Ni-based alloy solvent to precipitate the blocky and herringbone carbides, while the partially dissolved WC particles still preserve the primary lamellar eutectic structure. A few WC particles are split at the interface of WC and W2C, and then interact with Ni-based alloy solvent to precipitate the lamellar carbides. Compared with the individual laser cladding without preheating, LIHRC has the relatively lower temperature gradient and the relatively higher laser scanning speed. Therefore, LIHRC can produce the crack-free composite coating with relatively higher microhardness and relatively more homogeneous distribution of WC particles and is successfully applied to strengthen the corrugated roller, showing that LIHRC process has a higher efficiency and good cladding quality.  相似文献

We determine the large class of Robertson-Walker spacetimes whose first-order, linear, isentropic perturbations can be expressed in closed form, and the closed form perturbations are written down. In this Letter we study adiabatic and isocurvature perturbations in the frame of inflation with multiple sound speeds involved. We suggest this scenario can be realized by a number of generalized scalar fields with arbitrary kinetic forms. These scalars have their own sound speeds respectively, so the propagations of field fluctuations are individual. Specifically, we study a model constructed by two DBI type actions. We find that the critical length scale for the freezing of perturbations corresponds to the maximum sound horizon. Moreover, if the mass term of one field is much lighter than that of the other, the entropy perturbation could be quite large and so may give rise to a growth outside sound horizon. At cubic order, we find that the non-Gaussianity of local type is possibly large when entropy perturbations are able to convert into curvature perturbations. We also calculate the non-Gaussianity of equilateral type approximately.  相似文献

The 1+3 covariant approach and the covariant gauge-invariant approach to perturbations are used to analyze in depth conformal transformations in cosmology. Such techniques allow us to obtain insights on the physical meaning of these transformations when applied to non-standard gravity. The results obtained lead to a number of general conclusions on the change of some key quantities describing any two conformally related cosmological models. For example, even if some of the geometrical properties of the cosmology are preserved (homogeneous and isotropic Universes are mapped into homogeneous and isotropic universes), it can happen that decelerating cosmologies can be mapped into accelerated ones. From the point of view of the cosmological perturbations it is shown how these fluctuation transform. We find that first-order vector and tensor perturbations equations are left unchanged in their structure by the conformal transformation, but this cannot be said of the scalar perturbations, which present differences in their evolutionary features. The results obtained are then explicitly interpreted and verified with the help of some clarifying examples based on f(R)-gravity cosmologies.  相似文献

Stability properties of the free streaming mode in an electron beam propagating through a cylindrical waveguide loaded with a tape helix are investigated, including influence of high space harmonic perturbations. Closed algebraic dispersion relation of the free streaming mode are obtained. Properties of the high space harmonic perturbations are numerically investigated in connection with application on a high frequency microwave amplifier. One of the most important features in this analysis is that instability of high harmonic perturbations occurs at a very large value of microwave frequency. In this regard, millimeter microwave can be easily attainable by reducing the helix radius to a subcentimeter.  相似文献

We define fully nonperturbative generalizations of the uniform density and comoving curvature perturbations, which are known, in the linear theory, to be conserved on sufficiently large scales for adiabatic perturbations. Our nonlinear generalizations are defined geometrically, independently of any coordinate system. We give the equations governing their evolution on all scales. Also, in order to make contact with previous works on first- and second-order perturbations, we introduce a coordinate system and show that previous results can be recovered, on large scales, in a remarkably simple way, after restricting our definitions to first and second orders in a perturbative expansion.  相似文献

In this work we pursue the singular-vector analysis of the integrable perturbations of conformal theories that was initiated in our earlier paper [Nucl. Phys. B 475 (1996) 361]. Here we consider the detailed study of the N = 1 superconformal theory and show that all integrable perturbations can be identified from a simple singular-vector argument. We identify these perturbations as theories based on affine Lie superalgebras and show that the results we obtain relating two perturbations can be understood by the extension of affine Toda duality to these theories with fermions. We also discuss how this duality is broken in specific cases.  相似文献

针对国内7~8 MA脉冲功率装置驱动条件,通过耦合等效电路模型和McBride等人发展的半解析模型,研究了MagLIF总体能量学过程及中子产额随关键参数的变化规律,获得了中子产额大于1010的参数设计区间。结果表明:7~8 MA驱动条件、套筒材料、负载高度、燃料半径与密度、预热能量、外加轴向磁场等多因素共同决定了燃料的最终压缩状态;预热能量越大,燃料初始升温以及滞止时刻升温越高,中子产额越高;轴向磁场增加,热传导能量损失减小,但燃料收缩比也会减小,因此存在优化轴向磁场以获得较高中子产额;杂质质量分数超过10%,中子产额开始显著下降。燃料密度0.7 mg/cm3、外加轴向磁场27 T、预热能量200 J、杂质质量分数小于50%的条件下,可以获得3.5×1010中子产额,从而有望在7~8 MA条件下建立MagLIF关键问题研究平台。  相似文献

The propagation of perturbations on a spatially flat Robertson-Walker background is studied within linear perturbation theory in deDonder gauge and for comparison in synchronous gauge. The metric perturbations should be determined uniquely by the density/pressure perturbations, therefore only two initial conditions, namely for the density contrast and its time derivative, should be needed. Since the number of fundamental solutions for the density perturbations is higher than 2 in both gauges (6 resp. 3) an additional reduction of possible initial conditions, resp. a physically motivated exclusion of solutions, is needed. It is shown that the common treatment of excluding the so-called gauge solutions (solutions which can be gauged to zero in an already chosen gauge) leads to unphysical results. If gauge solutions are excluded the density perturbation solutions are the same in both gauges. But the correct Newtonian limit — which is present in deDonder gauge but not in synchronous gauge — is bound to the differences in the two gauges for large spatial scales of perturbations. Furthermore, compressional wave solutions should vanish for infinite spatial scales of perturbations (isotropy), but this is guaranteed in deDonder gauge by gauge solutions again. Gauge solutions should therefore not be taken as unphysical.  相似文献

We present a model for self-adjustment of social conventions to small perturbations, and investigate how perturbations can influence the convergence of social convention in different situations. The experimental results show that the sensitivity of social conventions is determined by not only the perturbations themselves but also the agent adjustment functions for the perturbations; and social conventions are more sensitive to the outlier agent number than to the strategy fluctuation magnitudes and localities of perturbations.  相似文献
