The structuring of plasma shells expanding into a magnetized plasma at velocities less than the Alfven speed is considered. The structuring phenomenon is studied with hybrid simulations. The hybrid simulations are conducted for two characteristic parameter sets: one set representative of magnetized ion experiments and one set representative of unmagnetized ion experiment. A complementary theoretical study of structuring instabilities using nonlocal, two fluid theory is discussed. Under the conditions representative of the laser-target experiments, the simulation observed structuring with azimuthal wavelengths similar to those observed in the experiment. Fluid theory, on the other hand, predicts that the most rapidly growing azimuthal modes are much shorter than observations, a result consistent with previous theoretical analyses  相似文献

We investigate the general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) equations for cold plasma around the Reissner-Nordström black hole. Applying 3+1 spacetime split we linearize the perturbed equations for non-magnetized/magnetized plasma in both rotating and non-rotating background. By Fourier analyze we then derive dispersion relations and investigate the existence of waves with positive angular frequency in the vicinity of the black hole horizon. The analysis finds propagation of negative phase and group velocities for rotating magnetized surroundings.  相似文献

采用磁化等离子体的分段线形电流密度卷积(Piecewise Linear Current Density Recursive Convolution,PLCDRC)时域有限差分(Finite-Different Time-Domain,FDTD)算法研究了具有单一缺陷层一维时变磁化等离子体光子晶体的光子局域态特性。以高斯脉冲为激励源,用算法公式所得的电磁波透射系数来讨论了等离子体上升时间对其缺陷模的影响。结果表明,改变等离子体上升时间和密度可以获得不同的缺陷模。  相似文献

研究三维截断磁化等离子体介质新型完全匹配层(NPML)吸收边界条件(ABC),提出应用于截断色散介质修正的M-NPML,该方法根据NPML坐标变换原理,对麦克斯韦方程中对空间偏导的变量进行坐标拉伸,得到在NPML吸收边界中修正的麦克斯韦方程组.该吸收边界只把对空间偏导的变量进行坐标拉伸,操作简单,避免了PML方法在截断普通介质时采用复杂的场分裂形式,同时比单轴各向异性完全匹配层(UPML)吸收边界截断磁化等离子体介质更加简单,编程复杂度大大降低.算例仿真结果与解析解相符,证实了该算法的有效性.  相似文献

The fluctuations of various parameters of the relativistic quantum plasma are studied with the use of the covariant Wigner function techniques. The fluctuations of the covariant Wigner function of the ideal Fermi gas at thermal equilibrium are calculated. The result is a function of the one particle Wigner function and the anticommutator of the Dirac fields only. As a consequence second order correlation functions of the four-current and the momentum-energy tensor are obtained and analyzed. On the basis of the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, the polarization tensors at first order in e2 of the magnetized and the non-magnetized electron gas are derived from the four-current fluctuations of the ideal plasma. Expressions are given for the magnetized vacuum polarization in two representations, integral and discrete sums over Landau levels, for arbitrary values of the photon four-momentum. The dispersion relations of the magnetized gas are studied in the limit of low frequencies and wavenumbers. It is shown that owing to relativistic quantum effects, the characteristic frequencies of the plasma modes (plasma and Larmor frequencies) split into effective transverse and longitudinal frequencies. The existence of an acoustic mode (zero sound) for the one-component plasma is also shown.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear ion acoustic waves in the presence of adiabatically heated ions in magnetized electron-positron-ion plasmas are studied. The Sagdeev potential approach is employed to obtain the energy integral equation in such a mulitcomponent plasma using fluid theory. It is found that electron density humps are formed in the subsonic region in magnetized electron-positron-ion plasmas. The amplitude of electron density hump is decreased with the increase of hot ion temperature in electron-positron-ion plasmas. However, the increase in positron concentration and obliqueness of the wave increases the amplitude of nonlinear structure. The increase in positron concentration also reduces the width of the nonlinear structure in a magnetized multicomponent plasma. The numerical solutions in the form of solitary pulses are also presented for different plasma cases. The results may be applicable to astrophysical plasma situations, where magnetized electron-positron-ion plasma with hot ions can exist.  相似文献

磁化等离子体光子晶体是磁化等离子体和介质(真空)构成的人工周期性结构.本文用磁化等离子体的分段线形电流密度卷积(PLCDRC)时域有限差分(FDTD)算法分析了磁化等离子体光子晶体特性.分析了磁化等离子体参数对电磁带隙的影响.从时域的角度分析了高斯脉冲在磁化等离子体光子晶体中的传播过程,给出了时域反射和透射波形.从频域的角度给出了磁化等离子体光子晶体的电磁反射系数和透射系数,并对结果进行了分析. 关键词: 磁化等离子体 光子晶体 时域有限差分法  相似文献

A nonlocal theory of stimulated Raman backscattering (BSRS) parametric instability of a large amplitude electromagnetic (EM) mode in a strongly magnetized plasma e.g., one encountered in a plasma filled backward wave oscillator, is reported. The EM mode is unstable to parametric instability in a magnetized plasma and decays into a Trivelpiece-Gould (TG) mode and a sideband EM mode. Using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (EPLK) method, the interaction between two ion acoustic solitary waves (IASWs) in a multicomponent magnetized plasma (including Tsallis nonextensive electrons) has been theoretically investigated. The analytical phase shifts of the two solitary waves after interaction are estimated. The proposed model leads to rarefactive solitons only. The effects of colliding angle, ratio of number densities of (positive/negative) ions species to the density of nonextensive electrons, ion-to-electron temperature ratio, mass ratio of the negative-to-positive ions and the electron nonextensive parameter on the phase shifts are investigated numerically. The present results show that these parameters have strong effects on the phase shifts and trajectories of the two IASWs after collision. Evidently, this model is helpful for interpreting the propagation and the oblique collision of IASWs in magnetized multicomponent plasma experiments and space observations.  相似文献

In this paper, a model for calculating the reflection and absorption powers of electromagnetic wave (EM wave) in nonuniform magnetized plasma slab is given out based on layer propagation theory. The effects of various plasma parameters and different values of magnetic field intensity on the reflected and absorbed powers are discussed. The results illustrate that the thickness of plasma seldom affects the reflection of radar wave, but it can broaden or reduce the absorption width. Meanwhile, the background magnetic field intensity has an influence upon the results, and it could change the resonance spectrum of magnetized plasma. We also find out that, with appropriate plasma density, collision frequency and magnetic field intensity, more than 90% of radar wave power can be absorbed and the resonant absorption band is about 2 GHz.  相似文献

We demonstrate the existence of a stationary rarefaction wave in a current-carrying plasma. The result unexpectedly mismatches with the commonly accepted viewpoint about the impossibility of rarefaction shocks in gases or plasmas. The discovered wave may appear when the magnetic field has penetrated into the plasma and magnetized the electrons. At this stage, the wave front is formed at the cathode and propagates towards the anode through the magnetized quasineutral plasma. The case of low collisionality is investigated analytically. This phenomenon could explain the recent surprising experimental observations of a local plasma density drop in several laboratory plasmas.  相似文献

A Monte Carlo implicit simulation program, Implicit Stratonovich Stochastic Differential Equations(ISSDE), is developed for solving stochastic differential equations(SDEs) that describe plasmas with Coulomb collision. The basic idea of the program is the stochastic equivalence between the Fokker–Planck equation and the Stratonovich SDEs. The splitting method is used to increase the numerical stability of the algorithm for dynamics of charged particles with Coulomb collision. The cases of Lorentzian plasma, Maxwellian plasma and arbitrary distribution function of background plasma have been considered. The adoption of the implicit midpoint method guarantees exactly the energy conservation for the diffusion term and thus improves the numerical stability compared with conventional Runge–Kutta methods. ISSDE is built with C++ and has standard interfaces and extensible modules. The slowing down processes of electron beams in unmagnetized plasma and relaxation process in magnetized plasma are studied using the ISSDE, which shows its correctness and reliability.  相似文献

Propagations of an oblique electron thermal mode under the electron plasma frequency without boundary effects are investigated experimentally and theoretically in a magnetized plasma. The phase, ray, and group velocity surfaces of the electron thermal mode are obtained in a polar coordinate. The experimental observation of the electron mode radiated from a point source is found to be in fair accord with the theoretical wave fronts which are obtained from the ray velocity surface. Wave fronts and ray trajectories of an oblique electron thermal mode radiated from a point source are numerically obtained in an inhomogeneous magnetized plasma with a use of an electrostatic kinetic theory. The spatial numerical results are indicated mainly below the electron plasma and cyclotron frequencies. Reflections of the mode in the plasma density lower than the electron plasma frequency are made clear numerically.  相似文献

本文首先利用5.8 GHz微波实际测量了辉光放电等离子体源电子密度和碰撞频率随时间的变化规律. 然后搭建实验平台, 测试了多种通信调制体制的信号经过该等离子体源后的误码率, 实验发现BPSK调制方式的信号在该时间变化的等离子体信道中通信误码率最小. 最后加入磁场, 实验测试了L波段(1.5 GHz) BPSK调制信号和S波段(2.5 GHz) QPSK信号在该磁化等离子体中的衰减、相移以及眼图和星座图的变化, 通过与非磁化情况下对比发现, 加入磁场后, 信道的通信性能有所改善, 误码率显著降低, 可以有效地缓解时变等离子体引起的幅度和相位上的寄生调制效应.  相似文献

The interaction of a pseudoscalar particle with two photons in a magnetized plasma is studied. The probability for the decay of a pseudoscalar particle to two photons in a strongly magnetized degenerate ultrarelativistic plasma is calculated. The frequency spectrum of free-electron laser pumped by electromagnetic wave with magnetized and unmagnetized background plasma is analyzed by the theory of three-wave interaction and PIC simulation, respectively. The frequencies of PIC simulation are in agreement with the results of the three-wave interaction theory. The results show that the frequency spectrum is very plentiful.  相似文献

给出了一种新的计算各向异性磁化色散介质的有限差分(FDTD)算法,称为移位算子FDTD(SO-FDTD)算法,它利用算子之间的移位递推关系,将一类色散介质的包含介电常数的表达式写成有理分式函数形式,进而导出FDTD中一系列相关量之间的关系.通过计算各向异性等离子体平板对电磁波的反射系数和透射系数,验证了该算法的高效性和高精度,与JEC算法相比,可使计算效率提高数倍. 关键词: 磁化等离子体 电磁波 FDTD方法 各向异性  相似文献

This paper considers the nonlinear interaction between three waves in a warm magnetized twocomponent plasma. A general formalism is developed within a simple macroscopic theory in order to treat waves propagating in arbitrary directions.
