We investigate the propagation regions of electromagnetic plane waves with negative phase velocity in the ergosphere of static charged black strings. For such a propagation, some conditions for negative phase velocity are established that depend on the metric components and the choice of the octant. We conclude that these conditions remain unaffected by the negative values of the cosmological constant.  相似文献

This paper presents a study on the thermodynamics of rotating Bardeen as well as Hayward regular black hole and their anti-de Sitter versions. We analyze the temperature, entropy, heat capacity and thermodynamical stability for the considered black hole geometries. The Hawking temperature is calculated using the surface gravity as well as tunneling probability method leading to the same result. We conclude that the considered rotating as well as rotating anti-de Sitter regular black holes are less hot and thermodynamically more stable than ordinary Kerr and Kerr-anti-de Sitter solutions, respectively.  相似文献

We study Hawking radiation of charged fermions as a tunneling process from charged regular black holes, i.e., the Bardeen and ABGB black holes. For this purpose, we apply the semiclassical WKB approximation to the general covariant Dirac equation for charged particles and evaluate the tunneling probabilities. We recover the Hawking temperature corresponding to these charged regular black holes. Further, we consider the back-reaction effects of the emitted spin particles from black holes and calculate their corresponding quantum corrections to the radiation spectrum. We find that this radiation spectrum is not purely thermal due to the energy and charge conservation but has some corrections. In the absence of charge, e = 0, our results are consistent with those already present in the literature.  相似文献

In this article, we present a bouncing cosmology inspired by a family of regular black holes. This scale-dependent cosmology deviates from the cosmological principle by means of a scale factor which depends on the time and the radial coordinate as well. The model is isotropic but not perfectly homogeneous. That is, this cosmology describes a universe almost homogeneous only for large scales, such as our observable universe.  相似文献

We consider the metric of a generic axially symmetric rotating stationary black hole. The general approach is developed that enables us to construct coordinate frame regular near the horizon. As explicit examples, the Kerr and Kerr–Newmann-(anti-)de Sitter metrics are considered. It is shown how the rotational versions of the Painlevé–Gullstrand and Doran coordinates appear in this scheme as particular cases. For the 2 + 1 version of the metric the direct generalization of the Lemaître coordinate system is obtained. It is shown that the possibility of introducing a regular frame is indirectly related to the constancy of a black hole angular velocity and the rate with which the metric coefficient responsible for the rotation of spacetime tends to it.  相似文献

Using the monodromy method we calculate the asymptotic quasinormal frequencies of an electromagnetic field moving in D-dimensional Schwarzschild and Schwarzschild de Sitter black holes (D ≥ 4). For the D-dimensional Schwarzschild anti-de Sitter black hole we also compute these frequencies with a similar method. Moreover, we calculate the electromagnetic normal modes of the D-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime.  相似文献

The propagation of a narrow frequency band beam of electromagnetic waves in a medium with randomly varying index of refraction is considered. A novel formulation of the governing equation is proposed. An equation for the average Green function (or transition probability) can then be derived. A Fokker-Planck type equation is contained as a limiting case. The results are readily generalized to include the features of the random coupling model and it is argued that the present problem is particularly suited for an analysis of this type.  相似文献

We investigate phase-plane analysis of general relativistic orbits in a gravitational field of the Reissner–Nordstr?m-type regular black hole spacetime. We employ phase-plane analysis to obtain different phase-plane diagrams of the test particle orbits by varying charge q and dimensionless parameter β, where β contains angular momentum of the test particle. We compute numerical values of radii for the innermost stable orbits and corresponding values of energy required to place the test particle in orbits. Later on, we employ similar analysis on an Ayón–Beato–García(ABG) regular black hole and a comparison regarding key results is also included.  相似文献

In General Relativity, addressing coupling to a non-linear electromagnetic field, together with a negative cosmological constant, we obtain the general static spherical symmetric black hole solution with magnetic charges, which is asymptotic to anti-de Sitter (AdS) space-times. In particular, for a degenerate case the solution becomes a Hayward–AdS black hole, which is regular everywhere in the full space-time. The existence of such a regular black hole solution preserves the weak energy condition, while the strong energy condition is violated. We then derive the first law and the Smarr formula of the black hole solution. We further discuss its thermodynamic properties and study the critical phenomena in the extended phase space where the cosmological constant is treated as a thermodynamic variable as well as the parameter associated with the non-linear electrodynamics. We obtain many interesting results such as: the Maxwell equal area law in the \(P{-}V\) (or \(S{-}T\)) diagram is violated and consequently the critical point \((T_*,P_*)\) of the first order small–large black hole transition does not coincide with the inflection point (\(T_c,P_c\)) of the isotherms; the Clapeyron equation describing the coexistence curve of the Van der Waals (vdW) fluid is no longer valid; the heat capacity at constant pressure is finite at the critical point; the various exponents near the critical point are also different from those of the vdW fluid.  相似文献

In nonlinear electrodynamics a photon does not follow null geodesics of background geometry, but moves along null geodesics of a corresponding effective geometry. Therefore, in the strong deflection limit, in order to study the gravitational lensing of the regular electrically charged black holes obtained by coupling general relativity to nonlinear electrodynamics, one should firstly obtain the corresponding effective geometry, which is a necessary and key step. I obtain the deflection angle of the photon in the strong deflection limit, and further calculate the angular position and magnification of relativistic images. It is found that, the electric charge has significant effect on the gravitational lensing of regular black holes. With the increase of the electric charge q, the angular position of the relativistic images \(\theta _{\infty }\) and the relative magnification \(\mathcal {R}_{m}\) as a function of q decrease, while the angular separation between the outermost relativistic image and the others \(\mathcal {S}\) as a function of q increases. I also discuss the measurement of observables for the black hole at the center of our Galaxy in the cases of regular electrically charged black hole effective metrics.  相似文献

Refraction of an electromagnetic wave from a point source to a medium with a negative refractive index is considered. An electric Hertz dipole that is located in air and directed parallel to a plane interface is considered as the point source. It is rigorously shown that the electromagnetic radiation propagated from the dipole into the medium with the negative refractive index is focused within a certain region in this medium. The sizes of the focusing region are determined. As a result, it is pointed out that the diffraction limit cannot be overcome by using homogeneous materials with negative refractive indices.  相似文献

By using the sixth order WKB approximation we calculate for an electromagnetic field propagating in D-dimensional Schwarzschild and Schwarzschild de Sitter (SdS) black holes its quasinormal (QN) frequencies for the fundamental mode and first overtones. We study the dependence of these QN frequencies on the value of the cosmological constant and the spacetime dimension. We also compare with the results for the gravitational perturbations propagating in the same background. Moreover we compute exactly the QN frequencies of the electromagnetic field propagating in D-dimensional massless topological black hole and for the charged D-dimensional Nariai spacetime we calculate exactly the QN frequencies of the coupled electromagnetic and gravitational perturbations.  相似文献

The propagation of suitably shaped millimetre wave pulses through a linear resonant molecular absorber is studied in order to give an experimental support to the concept of negative group velocity.
