研究了不同畴腐蚀深度的掺镁铌酸锂二维六角可调阵列光分束器的分数Talbot效应.对不同Talbot分数β和不同畴腐蚀深度的阵列光分束器Talbot衍射像进行了数值模拟理论研究.模拟结果表明,Talbot分数β可以改变Talbot衍射像的周期及结构分布,而畴腐蚀深度可有效调制衍射像的光强分布.在理论研究的基础上,设计并制备了具有不同畴腐蚀深度的掺镁铌酸锂二维六角阵列光分束器,对其在不同Talbot分数β条件下的分数Talbot效应进行了通光实验研究,实现了畴腐蚀阵列光分束器对近场Talbot衍射光强分布的调制,实验结果与理论研究结果一致.  相似文献

Talbot效应是一种近场自成像效应,通常只有周期光栅可以产生Talbot效应,而环形光栅无法产生.本文通过引入保角变换,发现可以在环形光栅外部设计适当的折射率渐变层介质,使得其中也能够产生严格的Talbot效应,并计算了对应的自成像半径表达式.本文利用FDTD软件分别将一个环形光栅放置在真空中以及人工设计的折射率渐变层中进行了模拟,并对二者的结果进行了比较分析,发现这种折射率渐变层介质确实对点光源入射的环形光栅的自成像情况有着很好的改善.希望这一工作能够推广Talbot效应的应用范围.  相似文献

The diffraction of ultrasonic radiation on an amplitude diffraction grating in the near-field area (Fresnel diffraction) has been studied. The effect of self-imaging of the grating (Talbot effect) has been detected for ultrasonic radiation at distances from the grating in the range from z = 0 to z = 2L T, where L T is the Talbot length. The fractional Talbot effect, i.e., the ultrasonic image of the grating with the period d/2, has been observed.  相似文献

We introduce an idea of producing an optical lattice relied on the Talbot effect. Our alternative scheme is based on the interference of light behind a diffraction grating in the near-field regime. We demonstrate 1D and 2D optical lattices with the simulations and experiments. This Talbot optical lattice can be broadly used from quantum simulations to quantum information. The Talbot effect is usually used in lensless optical systems, therefore it provides small aberrations.  相似文献

A superresolution phenomenon in images of diffraction gratings obtained with a near-field optical microscope probe positioned at distances of the order of 1>mu;m from the surface was recently reported [Appl. Opt. 33, 876 (1994)]. This experiment was interpreted in terms of evanescent waves observed in the far field. We show that the effect observed in that experiment is a very well known far-field optical phenomenon called the Talbot effect. The existence of self-imaging Talbot planes for gratings with periods of the order of a few micrometers appears promising for many practical applications.  相似文献

The nonlinear Talbot effect is a near-field nonlinear diffraction phenomenon in which the self-imaging of periodic objects is formed by the second harmonics of the incident laser beam. We demonstrate the first, to the best of our knowledge, example of nonlinear Talbot self-healing, i.e., the capability of creating defect-free images from faulty nonlinear optical structures. In particular, we employ the tightly focused femtosecond infrared optical pulses to fabricate Li Nb O_3 nonlinear photonic crystals and show that the defects in the form of the missing points of two-dimensional square and hexagonal periodic structures are restored in the second harmonic images at the first nonlinear Talbot plane. The observed nonlinear Talbot self-healing opens up new possibilities for defect-tolerant optical lithography and printing.  相似文献

Electrical poling induces polar ordering of molecules in a grating that has been holographically inscribed on a thin film of polymer with azobenzene side chains. The resulting chi2 grating, seen by second-harmonic-generation (SHG) near-field scanning optical microscopy, can have a periodic structure that is significantly different from the topographical image. The far-field linear and SHG diffration patterns correlate well with the grating structures. Poling of the thin-film grating, which presumably has photodriven nonuniform material properties within each period, leads to the more complex structure of the chi2 grating.  相似文献

本文系统研究了基于泰伯效应(Talbot) 的位相可调掺镁铌酸锂二维六角位相阵列光栅及其光衍射成像, 对光栅占空比D、不同位相差Δφ、及泰伯分数β条件下的光栅近场光衍射强度分布进行了理论研究, 结果表明当光栅占空比D=52%、位相差Δφ=0.75 π、 泰伯分数β=0.2时, 光栅近场衍射光图像效果最佳. 实验设计与 制备了掺镁铌酸锂二维六角位相阵列光栅, 并对其进行了Talbot衍射光成像实验研究, 得到了不同位相差和不同泰伯分数β条件下光栅近场衍射 光图像, 实验结果与理论研究结果相符. 关键词: 二维六角位相阵列光栅 掺镁铌酸锂晶体 泰伯效应  相似文献

The influence of the periodic motion of a monochromatic light source on the observed spectrum of its radiation in the far-field and near-field zones is considered. The appearance of components shifted in frequency (harmonics of the oscillation frequency of the source) is demonstrated. The spatial structure of harmonics is investigated, and the presence of optical vortices in these harmonics is shown.  相似文献

The optical transfer function of the far-field superlens imaging system is established in this thesis to make it easy to describe the corresponding relation between the far-field angular spectrum and the near-field object superresolution information. We utilized the established optical transfer function to make detailed research on the imaging characteristics of the far-field superresolution, also reconstruct the near-field nano-information through the far-field angular spectrum, which proves that the resolution of the far-field superlens with structure coupled with metal grating can reach 50 nm, and provides a helpful reference for the study of the new optical microscope imaging of superresolution.  相似文献

Steel tape is used in optical applications due to its mechanical properties. However, roughness of steel surfaces affects to wave propagation. The effect can be observed using diffraction gratings with low periods. In such a case, self-images of the grating appear at certain periodic distances from the grating (Talbot planes). When standard steel is used, the contrast of Talbot self-images strongly decreases with the distance from the grating. In this work, we prove that controlling the surface quality of steel, it is possible to improve its optical behavior and, as a consequence, high quality surface steel represents a good choice for diffractive optics when the use of chrome-on-glass masks is not indicated. As an example, we have manufactured a diffraction grating over a high quality steel surface by means of an ablation process with a nanosecond pulsed laser. The contrast of the self-images for these gratings decreases very slowly with the distance, in comparison with the self-images obtained with standard steel tape gratings.  相似文献

The Talbot effect of a high-density grating under femtosecond laser illumination is analyzed with rigorous electromagnetic theory which is based on the Fourier decomposition and the rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA). Numerical simulations show that the contrast of the Talbot images steadily decreases as the transmitted femtosecond laser pulses propagate forward and with wider spectrum width of the femtosecond laser pulses. The Talbot images of high-density gratings have much higher sensitivity of the spectrum widths of the incident laser pulses than those of the traditional low-density gratings. In experiments, the spectrums and the pulse widths of the incident pulses are measured with a frequency-resolved optical grating (FROG) apparatus. The Talbot images are detected by using a Talbot scanning near-field optical microscopy (Talbot-SNOM) technique, which are in coincidence with the numerical simulations. This effect should be useful for developing new femtosecond laser techniques and devices.  相似文献

Fresnel diffraction on periodic gratings results in a two-dimensional periodic distribution of light intensity, also known as the Talbot effect. Here this approach is extended to the family of superimposed structures with translational symmetry, which consist of superposed spatial harmonics. The Talbot effect is demonstrated to be valid for superimposed gratings. The considered superimposed gratings provide a wide range of textures of optical super-lattices. These texture super-lattices represent a Talbot carpets with a complex motif, which can be varied by choosing structure parameters. These results provide a new functionality for structuring optical lattices and can find potential applications in a wide range of light–matter interactions.  相似文献

It has been described that the near-field images of a high-density grating at the half self-imaging distance could be different for TE and TM polarization states. We propose that the phases of the diffraction orders play an important role in such polarization dependence. The view is verified through the coincidence of the numerical result of finite-difference time-domain method and the reconstructed results from the rigorous coupled-wave analysis. Field distributions of TE and TM polarizations are given numerically for a grating with period d = 2.3λ, which are verified through experiments with the scanning near-field optical microscopy technique. The concept of phase interpretation not only explains the polarization dependence at the half self-imaging distance of gratings with a physical view, but also, it could be widely used to describe the near-field diffraction of a variety of periodic diffractive optical elements whose feature size comparable to the wavelength.  相似文献

In this letter, we demonstrate coherent beam combination of laser diode array using the external Talbot cavity with double feedback. The double feedback elements consist of grating and high-reflection plane mirror. Compared with single high-reflection plane mirror feedback, the external Talbot cavity with double feedback reduce the number of interference strips in the far-field pattern and narrow spectral line-width of the laser diode array. The results indicate that the application of the external Talbot cavity with double feedback produces a clear far-field interference pattern. In addition, line-width is reduced to 0.15 nm full-width at half-maximum (FWHM).  相似文献

The Talbot self-imaging of high-density gratings with different period at half Talbot distance for different polarization is analyzed with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The numerical results indicate that the Talbot self-imaging of high-density gratings is obviously different for different polarization when the period d of the grating between 2λ and 3λ, which is verified through experimental results with the scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) technique. Furthermore, the Fourier spectrum (far field) generated by the gratings is also given with the rigorous coupled-wave method, which is in agreement with the near field.  相似文献

卫星激光通信光束的传播在空间属于远场衍射,而在地面光学跟踪检验中属于近场衍射。采用菲涅耳衍射理论研究了远场衍射和近场衍射对于产生光学跟踪位置误差信号的本质上的差别并且分析了等效条件,证明了近场检验中采用卫星相对角度运动轨迹的光束扫描可以准确模拟远场相对运动,同时也得到了光斑特性和卫星抖动模拟的分析。澄清了卫星激光通信终端光学跟踪性能检验中的基本概念,具有实际指导意义。  相似文献

Generation of optical vortex array based on the fractional Talbot effect   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A phase-only diffractive optical element (DOE) for generating array of optical vortices with high compression ratio is presented. Since it is designed according to the fractional Talbot effect, we name the DOE optical vortex Talbot array illuminator (OVTAI). As an example, an OVTAI for generating a hexagonal array of optical vortices is designed, and demonstrated through displaying the OVTAI on a programmable liquid crystal spatial light modulator. The diffraction properties of the vortex array generated by the OVTAI are observed and analyzed, and an optimal distance for generating sharp ringed vortex arrays is given.  相似文献
