This paper concentrates on observations of the surface topography by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) on alloyed and stainless steels samples treated by ultrashort laser pulses with duration of 210 fs and 6.7 ps. Globular-like and jet-like objects were found depending on the various levels of the fluence applied. It is shown that these features appear due to solid-liquid and liquid-gas transitions within surface layer irradiated by intense laser light. The observations are confronted to the theory of short-pulsed laser light-matter interactions, including interference, excitation of electrons, electron-phonon coupling as well as subsequent ablation. It is shown that the orientation of small ripples does not always depend on the direction of the polarization of laser light.  相似文献

Collective coupling of multiple atoms with a cavity mode produces two normal modes that are separated in energy by Vacuum Rabi splitting. We show that quantum coherence and interference can be produced by a control laser that couples the atoms confined in the cavity mode from free space, which leads to suppression of the normal mode excitation, or polariton excitation of the cavity-atom system. The control laser splits the normal mode of the cavity-atoms system and opens two excitation channels. The destructive quantum interference between the two channels renders the cavity-atoms system opaque to the light coupled into the cavity mode. We demonstrate suppression of the normal mode (polariton) excitation by the destructive quantum interference in an experiment with cold Rb atoms confined in an optical cavity.  相似文献

Fibre sensors exhibit a number of advantages over other sensors such as high sensitivity, electric insulation, corrosion resistance, interference rejection and so on. And laser self-mixing interference can accurately detect the phase difference of feedback light. In this paper, a novel laser self-mixing interference fibre sensor that combines the advantages of fibre sensors with those of laser self-mixing interference is presented. Experimental configurations are set up to study the relationship between laser power output and phase of laser feedback light when the fibre trembles or when the fibre is stretched or pressed. The theoretical analysis of pressure sensors based on laser self-mixing interference is indicated to accord with the experimental results.  相似文献

理论分析了激光二极管自混合干涉信号随外腔长度增大的变化特点及规律。从复合谐振腔干涉函数出发,推导出激光二极管自混合干涉信号随外腔长度增加指数衰减,衰减系数与光频虚部成正比,并给出光频虚部和实部满足的超越方程组。求解该超越方程组得到,当外腔长度超过一个临界值时,光频虚部随外腔长度近似反比衰减,则激光二极管自混合干涉信号随外腔长度增加衰减很缓慢;当外腔长度小于该临界值时,外腔反馈会使光频虚部增大,而且光频虚部随外腔长度变化而振荡,激光二极管自混合干涉信号出现复杂的状态。外腔反馈强度越大,或激光单模线宽越大,这一外腔长度的临界值则越小。分析激光二极管自混合干涉还需要考虑外腔反馈对光频虚部的影响。  相似文献

The grating-like spatially periodic structures are produced on the (100) surfaces of the single crystal silicon by the trains of 10 ps mode-locked ruby laser pulses at the wavelength of 694.3 nm. The periods and orientations of the structures are consistent with the model which involves the interference of the incident light with the surface electromagnetic wave excited through the coupling by surface roughness. Previously unappreciated elliptic ripple patterns are found and explained as the trails of the capillary wave excited on the molten Si surface due to the radially non-uniform deposition of energy.  相似文献

Interferometry is widely used in nano-scale micro-topography measurement. In order to improve its accuracy and sensitivity, a high-sensitivity homodyne interferometry based on white light interference and laser secondary interference was proposed. A high-sensitivity homodyne interferometry system was designed, and the zero point of the laser secondary interference was used to locate the dark striation of white light interference, so that it could reach the maximum slope when optical path difference was zero. The signals of white light and laser were analyzed by using the wave principle and intensity formula of interference fringes, and a sensitivity calculation method based on the combination of white light and laser interference signal was proposed. The system and its sensitivity were simulated. Finally, the optical path was built, and the white light interference fringes were adjusted to the dark striations position, so as to locate the zero position of laser secondary interference and carry out the data acquisition. It is showed that the sensitivity of the measurement method is at least 1 832 times higher than that of the laser secondary interference, and the corresponding measurement uncertainty is only ±0.288 7 mV. The measurement system can effectively solve the problem of large amount of calculation in traditional interferometry, and has high sensitivity, stability and reliability. 实验上观察到自混合干涉信号的幅度仅仅为静态光强的百分之几.反馈光会引起激光二极管阈值电流减小,静态输出光强变化几倍,使激光二极管工作在实际的阈值电流之上.按三镜法布里-珀罗腔结构模型计算激光二极管的出射光强,由干涉函数主极大条件得出光频与反馈光的关系.计算出的自混合干涉信号的波形,以及自混合干涉信号的幅度与静态光强的比值均同实验测量结果一致.在τrC/τ1=22.8的情况下,复合谐振腔可同时有15个谐振模式,这些模随外腔长度的变化小于2.6×10-2cm-1,远小于法布里-珀罗谐振腔谐振模的线宽3.1cm-1,光频在内腔谐振模的线宽以内变化.  相似文献

光纤激光器的相干合成技术是实现高功率、高亮度光纤激光系统的重要技术途径.利用分束器分光使两个光纤激光器的能量互相注入,从而使两个光纤激光器达到锁相锁模实现相干输出. 实验研究表明:在独立运行的情况下,两个光纤激光器的远场光斑只是两个激光器光强的简单叠加;在互相注入锁定的情况下,两个光纤激光器的远场光斑是具有高对比度的干涉条纹,并得到两个激光器的输出模式总为异相模.这与理论分析的结果相一致. 关键词: 光纤激光器 相干合成 锁相  相似文献

飞秒激光在整个脉冲宽度内具有极好的相干性,因而当从同一光束分出的两束或两束以上的光束时间与空间上实现相互叠加时将会形成强度周期性调制的电磁场.这种周期调制的电磁场与材料产生相互作用,能诱导出相应的周期微结构.最近通过两束或两束以上飞秒激光干涉诱导功能微结构得到了广泛研究.文章综合了国内外飞秒激光研究小组在干涉诱导微结构方面的一些最新成果以及作者在这方面开展的工作,对飞秒激光干涉技术的原理及其在诱导微结构方面的应用进行了介绍.  相似文献

Compact schemes of the phase-locked multichannel Nd:YAG laser system with the long- and shortrange coupling via the holographic gain gratings in the active elements are developed. The phase locking of various loop Nd:YAG lasers with an interference contrast of the laser channels of 0.50–0.87 and a single-mode lasing efficiency of up to 0.64% is experimentally demonstrated. The experimental results for the two- and three-channel laser systems are generalized on multichannel laser systems using the numerical simulation. It is demonstrated that the maximum number of the short-range-coupled laser channels can be increased owing to the leveling of the parameters of laser channels to a value that is greater than that the maximum number of the channels in the presence of the long-range coupling, which is limited by the damage threshold of the active element of the interchannel coupling.  相似文献

针对高功率脉冲半导体激光器的远场特点,及激光制导对激光功率密度和光斑均匀性的要求,给出多孔径空间耦合方案并对其优点进行理论分析;针对纳米叠层芯片高功率半导体激光器偏振特性,基于偏振复用的原理,进行2支高功率半导体阵列激光器的偏振合束研究。通过试验得出结论:偏振耦合后系统输出光功率几乎2倍于单个激光器输出功率,采用多孔径耦合及偏振耦合均能满足遥控制导光斑要求。  相似文献

The electric field distribution of Gaussian beam and properties of Cassegrain optical antenna are discussed and their images have been simulated. By analysis of Cassegrain optical antenna with collimation and off-axis circumstance, laser power distribution and the curve of coupling efficiency are obtained. The question of spatial light to multimode fiber coupling efficiency with alignment and off-axis are researched. At last, taking into account off-axis situation of Cassegrain and laser beam to multimode fiber, the coupling efficiency of the whole system is discussed. These researches are necessary and useful for increasing spatial light to multimode fiber coupling efficiency.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental studies of the angular distributions of scattered laser light in laser-Au-plate-target coupling are reported. A simple model that describes three-dimensional plasmas and scattered laser light is presented. The approximate shape of critical density surface has been given and the three-dimensional laser ray tracing is applied in the model. The theoretical results of the model are consistent with the experimental data for the scattered laser light in the polar angle range of 25o to 145o from the laser beam.  相似文献

在密集波分复用系统中,多波长DFB激光器阵列与多模干涉耦合器集成光源器件具有重要的应用前景.为了研制多波长集成光源中的宽带可用低损耗光耦合器,利用三维有限差分光束传播法仿真设计了一种具有强限制作用的InP/InGaAsP材料的多模干涉型耦合器.输入/输出端波导均采用楔形结构以降低多模干涉型耦合器的插入损耗,提高各个输出端口的出光平衡度.根据仿真结果,结合波导芯层为采用外延生长设备,采用反应离子刻蚀工艺制作了1×乘4多模干涉型耦合器.利用自动对准波导耦合测试系统对所制作器件的插入损耗和出光平衡度进行测量.测试结果表明,该器件在1 550 nm波长附近的40 nm带宽范围内获得了约2.6 dB的通带平坦度,在1 550 nm通信波长处,器件的插入损耗低于10 dB.  相似文献

Zero-order interference fringe identification is a powerful tool for measuring large step heights. In contrast to white light scanning interferometry, this study utilizes an external cavity diode laser as the light source. The zero-path difference point can be accurately identified by combining wavelength scanning interferometry, in which the laser wavelength is continuously changed, with single wavelength interferometry, in which the laser wavelength is fixed. The experimental apparatus is a two-arm interferometer containing the sample in the measurement arm. The step height denotes the distance between two locations of a zero-order interference fringe, which are obtained by continuously varying the length of the reference arm. The accuracy of a sample of 10 mm step height was found to be 0.33 μm.  相似文献

The relative advantages and limits of different recording techniques of the interference pattern in 10.6 μm laser light are analysed. 理论研究了五能级系统中三光子共振非简并六波混频(NSWM) 由于中间能级加入耦合光场而产生的量子干涉效应. 分析了耦合光场对三光子共振NSWM信号以及频谱的影响. 研究发现, 在强耦合场作用下, NSWM的频谱出现了Autler-Townes分裂, 它反映的是两个缀饰态的能级, 量子干涉可以使NSWM信号被抑制或增强. 提出利用量子干涉对NSWM信号产生增强作用, 可以由耦合场产生的缀饰态代替原子固有能级, 成为三光子共振的中间态, 从而控制耦合场来选择三光子共振的中间态的位置.  相似文献
