TOF spectra of scattered primary and surface recoiled neutrals and ions for 3 keV Ar+ bombardment of clean La and Yb and H2, O2, and H2O saturated La surfaces are presented. The spectra are analyzed in terms of single (SS) and multiple (MS) scattering of the primary ions and surface recoiling (SR) of adsorbate atoms. Measurement of spectra of neutrals + ions and neutrals alone allows determination of scattered ion fractions Y. The Y values for the SS event are high for clean La (37%) and lower for adsorbate covered La (32% for H2, 13% for O2, and 8% for H2O); Yb exhibits a similar behavior, i.e. 16% for clean Yb and 5% for O2 + H2O covered Yb. Photon emission accompanying the scattering collision has been observed from clean La and Yb and adsorbate covered La. A preferential inelastic energy loss of 15 ± 3 eV for the SS event has been observed for scattered neutrals as opposed to ions for La and H2 saturated La at 135°. These results are interpreted within the models for Auger and resonant electronic charge exchange transitions during approach or departure of an ion with a surface and the electron promotions occuring during close atomic encounters where the electron shells are interpenetrating.  相似文献

Infrared and Raman spectra of polycrystalline KUO2PO4 · 3 H2O (KUP) and its isotopic derivatives KUO2P18O4 · 3 H2O and KUO2PO4 · 3 D2O have been investigated in the 4000-10-cm?1 range at different temperatures. An assignment of the bands in terms of UO2, PO4 and H2O vibrations has been proposed. Combined differential scanning calorimetry and spectroscopic data show two diffuse phase transitions near 130 and 230 K. Comparison of the vibrational spectra of phase I at 300 K and phase IV at 100 K indicates that ordering of the water molecules with subsequent ordering of PO4 tetrahedra on a site with lower symmetry appears to be the main mechanism responsible for the phase transformation. All the six O-H distances of water molecules in phase IV are found to be crystallographically nonequivalent. Conducting ion frequencies and the corresponding force constants have been determined for the analogous compounds MUP with M = K+, Na+, Ag+, NH+4, Tl+ and H3O+ and compared with other properties of these ionic conductors. Conductivity mechanisms in these materials are discussed.  相似文献

The mixture and interaction second virial coefficients of a binary gas mixture of nonspherical molecules of arbitrary symmetry have been calculated for a set of unlike force parameters which is obtained from the force parameters for like interactions by using empirical combination rules. In the calculation molecular anisotropy of very general type has been accounted. The relative contribution of each branch of interactions has been evaluated as a function of temperature. The theoretical values of interaction second virial coefficient have been compared with the experimental data of N2+A, N2+He, N2+H2, N2+O2, N2+C2H4, N2+C2H6, CO2+A, CO2+H2, CO2+N2, CO2+O2, CO2+CO, CO2+C2H4, CO2+C2H6, O2+A and H2+CO. The agreement between theory and experiment is satisfactory for all the systems. Numerical estimations of the mixture second virial coefficients as a function of temperature and composition are given for the systems CO2+A, CO2+H2, CO2+N2, CO2+O2 and CO2+CO.  相似文献

Crystalloluminescence and temporary mechanoluminescence of As2O3 crystals are investigated. The crystalloluminescence spectra are similar to the photoluminescence and mechanoluminescence (of fresh crystals, in CO2 atmosphere) spectra. The mechanoluminescence spectra of freshly grown crystals taken in air consist of the superposition of the photoluminescence and nitrogen emissions. The mechanoluminescence spectra of old crystals of As2O3 consist of only the nitrogen emission. The total number of crystalloluminescence flashes is linearly related to the total mass of the crystals grown. The mechanoluminescence intensity increases with the mass of the crystals. The mechanoluminescence intensity decreases with the age of the crystals and the rate of decrease increases with increasing temperature of the crystals. Different possibilities of crystalloluminescence and mechanoluminescence excitations in As2O3 crystals are explored and it is concluded that crystalloluminescence and mechanoluminescence are of different origins.  相似文献

本文利用266 nm波长的激光及程序升温脱附的方法研究了甲醇在ZnO(0001)表面的光催化反应. TPD结果显示部分的CH3OH以分子的形式吸附在ZnO(0001)表面,而另外一部分在表面发生了解离. 实验过程中探测到H2,CH3·,H2O,CO,CH2O,CO2和CH3OH这些热反应产物. 紫外激光照射实验结果表明光照可以促进CH3OH/CH3O·解离形成CH2O,在程序升温或光照的过程中它又可以转变为HCOO-. CH2OHZn与OHad反应在Zn位点上形成H2O分子. 升温或光照都能促进CH3O·转变为CH3·. 该研究对CH3OH在ZnO(0001)表面的光催化反应机理提供了一个新的见解.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations were performed to obtain local energy extrema, including an effect of reagents, intermediates, and reaction products on the potential energy surface for the C9H7+O2 reaction, playing a significant role in oxidation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons at combustion conditions. The final products, determined as a result of the calculations are styrenyl radical C8H7+CO2, ortho-vinyl phenyl radical C8H7+CO2 and 1-H-inden-1-one C9H6O+OH, which is predicted to be the prevailing reaction product.  相似文献

A thin film solid state electrochemical gas sensor has been investigated for CO2 detection based on the cell reaction: Na++OH+CO2=NaHCO3. The galvanic cell arrangement is Au | NaxCoO2−δ (ref.) | NASICON | Au, SnO2 where the right hand electrode is in contact with CO2 and O2 in a humid atmosphere. The response has been compared to results obtained with a conventional pellet type sensor. Furthermore, both devices have been exposed to CO and humidity. Strong cross-sensitivities were observed leading to large changes in the emf in both cases. The response to moisture is reversible and fast with a response time of about 1 min according to a fast surface reaction of H2O with SnO2. The presence of CO leads to a signal change with a high response time and a very slow reverse reaction. However, the response to CO2 is not influenced by the presence of CO or H2O with regard to the signal height and response time. A surface characterization study using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ion scattering spectroscopy (ISS) has been performed on a 5 wt.% Pd/Co3O4 methane oxidation catalyst before and after exposure to a mixture of CH4 and O2 in N2 at 250 °C for a period of 6 days. The primary peaks observed in the XPS survey spectra are the Co 2p, Pd 3d, O 1s and C 1s, along with Co, Pd and O Auger peaks. High-resolution Pd 3d spectra reveal that Pd exists on the surface predominantly as PdO, with no apparent change in chemical state during reaction. High-resolution XPS Co 2p and O 1s spectra reveal an accumulation of CoOOH and a depletion of CoO in the near-surface region during reaction. ISS analysis with intermittent 1-keV Ar+ sputtering was used to obtain depth profiles from the catalyst before and after reaction. The results indicate that the Pd/Co concentration ratio decreases with sputtering and that this ratio is larger for the as-prepared catalyst indicating that morphological changes occur during reaction. The ISS depth profile spectra obtained from the catalyst after reaction indicates the presence of an oxyhydroxide layer throughout the near-surface region. This observation is consistent with the XPS data indicating accumulation of hydroxide and oxyhydroxide species at the surface during reaction.Based on these data and the results of related studies, a reaction mechanism is proposed. In this mechanism, methane dissociatively chemisorbs to form a surface methoxy species and CoOOH. The remaining hydrogen atoms are stripped from the methoxy species leaving an active adsorbed C species which reacts with surface oxygen and a hydroxyl group to form an adsorbed bicarbonate ion which then decomposes to form CO2 and a surface hydroxyl group. These hydroxyl groups also react to form H2O and then more O2 adsorbs dissociatively at the vacant sites.  相似文献

The gas phase high energy photoelectron spectra of CH4, NH3, H2O, N2, O2, CO and CO2 have been recorded, and in all cases weak satellite peaks to high binding energy of the main ionization peak are observed. These peaks are assigned to transitions to ionic states in which valence electron excitation as well as core ionization has occurred. The intensity and position of these peaks, relative to the main ionization peak have been estimated from ab initio UHF calculations on the core hole states, which in general allow assignment of the satellite peaks in terms of orbital transitions of the core hole ion.  相似文献

LiCaBO3:M (M=Eu3+, Sm3+, Tb3+, Ce3+, Dy3+) phosphors were synthesized by a normal solid-state reaction using CaCO3, H3BO3, Li2CO3, Na2CO3, K2CO3, Eu2O3, Sm2O3, Tb4O7, CeO2 and Dy2O3 as starting materials. The emission and excitation spectra were measured by a SHIMADZU RF-540 UV spectrophotometer. And the results show that these phosphors can be excited effectively by near-ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UVLED), and emit red, green and blue light. Consequently, these phosphors are promising phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Under the condition of doping charge compensation Li+, Na+ and K+, the luminescence intensities of these phosphors were increased.  相似文献

Y-doped barium cerate BaCe0.9Y0.1O3???δ was synthesised by a solid-state reaction method. Materials with different average grain sizes and grain boundary surface areas were obtained. The effect of microstructure on the chemical stability in the CO2 and H2O-containing atmosphere and electrical properties was analysed and discussed. To evaluate the chemical stability of BaCe0.9Y0.1O3???δ , the exposure test was performed. Samples were exposed to the carbon dioxide and water vapour-rich atmosphere at 25 °C for 700 h. Thermogravimetry supplied by mass spectrometry was applied to analyse the samples before and after this comprehensive test. The mass loss for samples before and after the test and the amount of BaCO3 formed during the test were directly treated as the measure of chemical instability of BaCe0.9Y0.1O3???δ in the atmosphere rich in carbon dioxide and water vapour. As it was observed, the BaCe0.9Y0.1O3???δ chemical stability towards CO2 and H2O is not affected by the materials’ microstructure. Electrical properties of BaCe0.9Y0.1O3???δ which differs with microstructure were determined using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It was found that the grain interior resistivity and activation energy of grain interior conductivity is microstructure independent. However, the effect on microstructure was seen on the EIS spectra in the range of grain boundary contribution. Therefore, the lowest activation energy and the highest conductivity were observed for a material with the lowest grain boundary surface area.  相似文献

Surface ions generated by electron stimulated desorption from mass spectrometer ion source grids are frequently observed, but often misidentified. For example, in the case of mass 19, the source is often assumed to be surface fluorine, but since the metal oxide on grid surfaces has been shown to form water and hydroxides, a more compelling case can be made for the formation of hydronium. Further, fluorine is strongly electronegative, so it is rarely generated as a positive ion. A commonly used metal for ion source grids is 316L stainless steel. Thermal vacuum processing by bakeout or radiation heating from the filament typically alters the surface composition to predominantly Cr2O3. X-ray photoelectron spectral shoulders on the O 1s and Cr 2p3/2 peaks can be attributed to adsorbed water and hydroxides, the intensity of which can be substantially increased by hydrogen dosing. On the other hand, the sub-peak intensities are substantially reduced by heating and/or by electron bombardment. Electron bombardment diode measurements show an initial work function increase corresponding to predominant hydrogen desorption (H2) and a subsequent work function decrease corresponding to predominant oxygen desorption (CO). The fraction of hydroxide concentration on the surface was determined from X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and from the deconvolution of temperature desorption spectra. Electron stimulated desorption yields from the surface show unambiguous H3O+ peaks that can be significantly increased by hydrogen dosing. Time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry sputter yields show small signals of H3O+, as well as its constituents (H+, O+ and OH+) and a small amount of fluorine as F, but no F+ or F+ complexes (HF+, etc.). An electron stimulated desorption cross-section of σ+ ∼ 1.4 × 10−20 cm2 was determined for H3O+ from 316L stainless steel for hydrogen residing in surface chromium hydroxide.  相似文献

Excitation of H+, H2 +, H3 +, He+, and Ar+ ions by impact on graphite and Al2O3 was investigated by means of emission spectroscopy in the 50–1000 eV energy range of the projectiles. Emission of Balmer series from excited neutral hydrogen is observed for both targets. In addition, for the Al2O3 target a continuum emission is observed. The continuum probably originates from excited MnOm molecules produced in the collision cascade, when surface atoms bound by ionic bonds are released after the bond breaking caused by neutralization. The spectra obtained under Ar+ -bombardment show Ar II lines emitted by backscattered ions.  相似文献

当一束具有一定能量和强度的电子束轰击超高真空系统中残余的水汽、一氧化碳和二氧化碳时,将导致这些气体分子通过如下反应:H2O→Oad+H2,CO2→Oad+CO,CO→Oad+Cad分解并共吸于镍表面。碳和氧的原子各自占据镍(001)面部份四重吸附位置,形成结构为p(2×2)或c(2×2)的许多独立的吸附畴,电子束轰击促进畴的成核、长大、连结和有序化。当氧和碳的原子占据了镍(001)面约一半的四重吸附位后,上述吸附反应将与导致氧和碳的脱附反应:C*+Oad→CO,O*+Cad→CO平衡,氧化镍与碳化镍开始成核。由于残余含氧气体中氧的含量超过碳,氧化镍成核占优势,使碳的吸附被排斥,已吸附的碳被排挤,形成电子束斑内氧高碳低、束斑外碳高氧低的“互补”分布。电子束轰击过程中碳的俄歇峰形的变化反映着碳原子与基底原子的不同结合状态。电子束的解离效应在吸附的初始阶段起重要作用,而其热效应对氧化镍的长大起重要作用。 关键词:  相似文献

Ab initio quantum-chemical calculations of the (CF3CO2H2+3O2) and (CF3CO23O2) complexes were performed by the MP2 method. It was found that these complexes were characterized by low complex formation energies, of 2.97 and 1.72 kcal/mol, respectively. According to the MP2(full)/6-311++G(d, p) calculation data, the bridge stabilization of oxygen by linking with both the CF3CO2H2+ cation and CF3CO2 anion is much more favorable energetically. A study of the potential energy surface of the joint molecular system (CF3CO2H2+3O2…CF3CO2) shows that proton experiences activationless transfer from the cation to the 3O2 molecule accompanied by electron transfer from the CF3COO anion. An analysis of spin density distribution shows that two radicals are stabilized in the (CF3CO2….OOH….O=C(OH)CF3) complex in the triplet state observed on the potential energy surface.  相似文献

The chemistry of char-N release and conversion to nitrogen-containing products has been probed by studying its release and reactions with O2, CO2, and H2O. The experiments were performed in a fixed bed flow reactor at pressures of up to 1.0 MPa. The results show that the major nitrogen-containing products observed depend on the reactant gas; with O2, NO, and N2 being the major species observed. Char-N reaction with CO2 produces N2 with very high selectivity over a broad range of pressures and CO2 concentrations, and reaction with H2O gives rise to HCN, NH3, and N2. Observed distributions of nitrogen-containing products are little affected by pressure when O2 and CO2 are the reactant gases, but increasing pressures in the reaction with H2O results in the formation of increasing proportions of NH3. Formation of NH3 is also promoted by increasing concentrations of H2O in the feed gas. The results suggest that NO and HCN are primary products when O2 and H2O, respectively, are used as the reactant gases, and that the other observed products arise from interactions of these primary products with the char surface.  相似文献

State-resolved measurements are presented for vibrational excitation of H2, N2, O2 and CO2 by H? impact in the collision energy rangeE cm=20–180 eV and for scattering in the forward direction (0±0.5°). The data obtained from the measurements are the relative intensities and differential cross sections for vibrational excitation up toν′=4, the transition probabilitiesP 0→ν′ and the vibrational energy transferΔE vib. For the systems H?-H2, N2, O2 the vibrational inelasticity increases in the order H2-N2-O2. The mechanism for vibrational excitation in these systems is due to transient charge transfer from the H? ion into antibonding orbitals of the target molecule which provides a bond stretching force during the collision. For H2 and N2, the results are compared with corresponding measurements for H+ scattering where the interaction mechanism is quite different. In the case of CO2, vibrational excitation in forward scattering is caused primarily by the long-range dipole interaction. The spectra are very similar for H?-CO2 and H+-CO2. Finer details are attributed to the influence of transient charge transfer and valence interactions.  相似文献
