We discuss the validity of Migdal–Eliashberg theory applied to the superconductor fullerides K3C60 and Rb3C60. Recently, the relevant superconductor properties have been measured, like the isotope coefficient, the energy gap and critical temperatures for these compounds and compared with their optical properties. They all present a very disperse band of phonon frequencies, running from very small to very large energies, the latter being close to the Fermi edge. Therefore, these materials exceed the limit of validity of the adiabatic Migdal theorem, measured with a nonadiabatic parameter m=w0/EF, where w0 is a characteristic phonon frequency and EF=250 meV, the Fermi level. We examine previous theories incorporating vertex corrections into the Eliashberg equations to deal with such a situation. We compare these approaches by calculating the critical temperatures using a multimodal Eliashberg spectral function 2F(w) to study the contribution of the various phononic modes. We arrive at the conclusion that the optical modes, not the intramolecular ones, are among those which maximize Tc independently of including vertex corrections or not. This result goes in the direction to understand why doped fullerides A3C60 are superconductors.  相似文献

Methods of electron-spin resonance (ESR) and direct, non-linear field-modulated microwave absorption (FMMA) were applied for the measurements in low- and high-purity samples of rubidium-doped fullerene, Rb3C60. The coexistence of the normal strong ESR signals and regular series of weak absorption lines similar to those seen in systems of Josephson junctions was observed in the high-purity sample. The possible influence of the vortex lattice on the ESR signals was also studied. We determined from FMMA investigations using the Portis model the critical field μ0H* = 40 μT, the depinning current density Jc*0H0 = 1 mT) 4 × 108 A/m2 in low magnetic field and Jc*0H0 > 100 mT) 1.6 × 108 A/m2 in higher fields. These values were generally one order of magnitude higher than the highest corresponding values previously observed in high-temperature superconductors (HTS's).  相似文献

The electronic valence band structures of polymerized thin films of C60 and La0.1C60 have been studied by using ultra-violet photoelectron spectroscopy. Additionally, the films have been characterized by using Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The valence band of the C60 film shows major peaks at binding energies of 2.6, 7.2, 10.3, and 12.6 eV. In the case of the doped film, we observe (i) an additional peak with a binding energy of 13.7 eV, (ii) evidence for redistribution of the density of electronic states due to hybridization between the 5d orbitals of La and the C60 cage, and (iii) significantly higher density of the electronic states near the Fermi energy. The valence band spectra of the doped film are in good agreement with recent results of the density functional theory that support strong hybridization between the d-valence orbitals of La and the C60 cage.  相似文献

Gold-fullerite [C60]-silicon (p-type) sandwich structures have been fabricated in order to investigate intrinsic cross-sectional and planar electronic conductive properties, in particular the C60/p-Si p–n heterojunction. The turn-on voltage of this p–n heterojunction lies in the range 0.25–0.27 V. The I–V characteristics of the Au/C60/p-Si structure are mostly defined by the bulk specific resistance of the fullerite crystal film itself (6×107 Ω cm). I–V curves in the C60/Au/p-Si structure are shown to be ohmic. Au/C60/p-Si sandwiches irradiated with swift (300 MeV) heavy ions, (84Kr14+) to a total fluence 1010 ion/cm2 yield structures which are sensitive to ambient air pressure, specifically in the case of a transverse contact configuration, and if one of the contacts is located on the irradiated part of the fullerite film. The sandwich-structure sensitivity to pressure is 5×10−6 Pa−1. This exceeds the sensitivity of conventional silicon pressure transducers by almost three orders of magnitude.  相似文献

在过渡金属轻元素化合物中,寻找新的硬质或者超硬材料是当前的一个研究热点.目前寻找范围多集中在过渡金属硼化物、碳化物和氮化物等二元体系,三元相的研究则相对较少.本文以已知Nb_3B_3C和Nb_4B_3C_2结构为模板,采用元素替代法构建了29种TM_3B_3C (TM为过渡金属元素)结构和29种TM_4B_3C_2结构,采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算方法,成功找到了热力学、动力学以及力学都稳定的Ta_3B_3C和Ta4B_3C2两种新相.结构搜索计算确认了这两相为全局能量最优结构.能带结构和态密度的计算显示这两相均为导体,导电性主要源于Ta原子的d电子.这两种新相的硬度大约为26 GPa,说明Ta_3B_3C和Ta_4B_3C_2属于高硬度材料,但不是超硬材料.  相似文献

There ark three kinds of effective attractive interaction between C602- and "nearly free" electron in A3C60: 1) the strong short-range attraction between the low energy unoccupied orbital of C602- ions and the "nearly free" electrons; 2) the potential barrier due to large angular momentum of t1u orbital; 3) the A+ crystal field forced "nearly free" electrons in C602- neighborhood. All effective attraction coupling with the A+ optical modes and the vibration modes of C60 mass center produces a strong electron-phonon interaction. It plays a principal role for A3C60 superconductivity. Based upon this mechanism critical temperature and other properties of superconductivity state can be explained by means of the BCS theory.  相似文献

A solid complex of C60 with γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CyD) was examined with NMR spectroscopic methods in order to understand the dynamics of C60, and the interaction between C60 and γ-CyD. A 13C solid-state cross-polarization magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) NMR spectra shows C60 resonance at 142.6 ppm. This provides the evidence of interaction between 13C spins in C60 and 1H spins in the γ-CyD host. Ambient temperature experiments on the 13C CP/MAS NMR, with varying contact time, shows that the water associated with γ-CyDs plays an important role in the nuclear relaxation processes. The dynamics of C60 in γ-CyD was investigated using temperature and field-dependent 13C spin-lattice relaxation time measurements. The influence of water on the dynamics of C60 was less significant below 250 K.  相似文献

Scanning tunnelling microscopy has been used to identify a number of surface reconstructions on the (001) surface of the cubic metallic sodium tungsten bronze, Na0.667WO3. Which is dominant has been found to depend critically on sample preparation. As well as a reconstruction that bears a striking similarity to that of the parent material, tungsten trioxide, regions of (2×1) periodicity are observed that can only be explained in terms of an NayO surface layer. In the current work, we relate the effect of sample preparation on the surface electronic structure of Na0.667WO3(001) with that on the atomic structure by comparing photoemission spectra with STM images. Particular interest is focused on band gap defect states in photoemission spectra which, in contrast to similar states in spectra from WO3, do not appear to correlate with the appearance of localised defects or highly reduced terraces in STM images. The existence of peroxide-like oxygen dimers at the (2×2) reconstructed surface, on the other hand, is characterised by the appearance of identifiable states in the valence band spectrum.  相似文献

The observation of an anomalous temperature dependence of Mn2+ EPR spectra linewidth and nonaxial crystal-field parameter in K3H(SO4)2 and Rb3H(SO4)2 allows one to suggest the presence of “local mode” predicted by Yamada (Ferroelectrics 170 (1995) 23). The activation energy for this kind of excitation was found and equals 11.3 (0.5) and 7.4 (0.3) meV for Mn2+ doped K3H(SO4)2 and Rb3H(SO4)2, respectively.  相似文献

We show in this paper that characteristic features in the Raman spectra, especially the frequency of the pentagonal pinch mode, can give information about the polymeric structure of pressure polymerised C60. High-pressure treatment at 1 GPa below 510 K for 3 h results in the formation of a low fraction of dimers only, while treatment at the same pressure and time above 540 K affords a fully polymerised material. In the latter case, different relative fractions of dimers and polymer chains are obtained depending on whether the final reaction conditions were reached by isobaric or isothermal path. We suggest that this difference results from different reaction dynamics in the two cases. The polymerisation rate depends on T and p and on the rotational and orientational states of the molecules. At 1 GPa no polymerisation is observed in sc C60, while in “hexagon” oriented sc C60 at 1.7 GPa dimers are already formed 175 K below the fcc–sc transition and a fully polymerised material is obtained just below the transition to the fcc phase.  相似文献

在Ni70Mn25Co5-C体系中添加含氢化合物Fe(C5H5)2作为新型氢源, 利用温度梯度法, 在压力为5.5-6.0 GPa、温度为1280-1400 ℃的条件下, 成功合成出氢掺杂的宝石级金刚石大单晶. 通过傅里叶显微红外光谱发现, 随着Fe(C5H5)2添加量的增加, 合成晶体中与氢相关的对应于sp3杂化C-H键的对称伸缩振动和反对称伸缩振动的红外特征峰2850和2920 cm-1逐渐增强, 而晶体中氮含量却逐渐减少. 通过合成晶体的拉曼光谱分析发现, 金刚石的拉曼峰伴随Fe(C5H5)2的添加向高频偏移, 这表明氢的进入在金刚石内部产生了压应力. 观察扫描电子显微镜图像发现, 在低含量Fe(C5H5)2添加时晶体表面平滑, 而高含量添加时晶体表面缺陷增多, 且呈现出气孔状. 使用新的添加剂Fe(C5H5)2作为氢源, 合成出含氢宝石级金刚石单晶, 丰富了金刚石单晶中对氢的研究内容, 也可为理解天然金刚石的形成机理提供帮助.  相似文献

Quantitative adsorption studies, temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and Auger spectroscopy have been used to study the interaction of C2Cl4 with Fe(110) at 90 and 325 K. At 90 K, multilayer C2Cl4 adsorption occurs. The following desorption products are observed in the temperature range of 90–1050 K: C2Cl4 from the multilayer and the monolayer, FeCl2, and a high mass iron chloride species with mass spectrometer cracking products FeCl+2, FeCl+, and Fe+. Irreversible dissociative C2Cl4 adsorption occurs at 325 K and the only desorption product which is observed is the high mass iron chloride species. Auger spectroscopy shows that surface carbon from C2Cl4 starts to diffuse into the bulk of the crystal at ˜ 480 K while small coverages of chlorine remain on the surface of the crystal even after heating to 1050 K. Comparison of the behavior of C2Cl4 and CCl4 on Fe(110) indicates that radical products (·CCl3 and :CCl2) observed to be produced from CCl4 adsorption are not produced from C2Cl4 adsorption. This difference is probably due to the enhanced surface reactivity of the C=C bond in C2Cl4. A special reactivity of iron defect sites for C2Cl4 is observed through the production of associated FeCl2 species which desorb via zero-order kinetics with an activation energy of 44.8 ± 8.5 kcal/mol, the sublimation enthalpy of FeCl2.  相似文献

The interaction between C60 molecules and the Si(100) surface and the preparation of silicon-carbide thin films by thermal reaction of C60 molecules with the Si(100) surface have been investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy, reflection high-energy electron diffraction and atomic force microscopy measurements. The effects of annealing temperature and C60 coverage on the SiC formation will be discussed. It is found that the C60 molecules bond covalently with silicon, and the number of bonds increase upon increasing the annealing temperature. Annealing at T≥830°C entails the formation of stoichiometric silicon carbide clusters that coalesce to form a continuous SiC layer when the C60 coverage is greater than one monolayer. Deep pits acting as silicon diffusion channels are present with dimensions that increase with the amounts of C60.

The interaction of C60 with the SiC surface was also investigated. It is found that a similar covalent interaction is present in the two systems C60/Si and C60/SiC.  相似文献

The possible structures of C60 on the Si{1 0 0} surface in the four dimer position over the dimer trench have been investigated using ab initio total energy minimisations. Four possible structures have been found. The fullerenes bond to the silicon surface by breaking carbon–carbon double bonds. One electron from the broken bond is contributed to the carbon–silicon bond. The second electron is involved in forming a new π-bond within the fullerene cage. The carbon–silicon bond is primarily covalent with some charge transfer. Some discussion of endohedral fullerenes is also given.  相似文献

通过第一性原理密度泛函和超导Eliashberg理论计算, 我们研究了Li2C2Cmcm相的电子结构和电声耦合特性, 预言这种材料在常压和5GPa下是由电声耦合导致的转变温度分别为13.2 K 和9.8 K的超导体, 为实验上探索包含一维碳原子链的材料中是否可能存在超导电性、发现新的超导体提供了理论依据. 如果理论所预言的Li2C2超导电性得到实验的证实, 这将是锂碳化物中转变温度最高的超导体, 高于实验观测到的LiC2的1.9 K和理论预言的单层LiC6的8.1 K超导转变温度.  相似文献

The structure of the (0 0 0 1) surface of the -MgCl2 crystal has been investigated using DFT-GGA periodic calculations. The calculated surface relaxation is in agreement with LEED measurements. Motivated for the use of MgCl2 as support for the Ziegler–Natta reaction, we have studied the adsorption of the catalyst (titanium chlorides as monomers or dimers) on the (1 0 0) and (1 1 0) MgCl2 surfaces. The structures of adsorbed species are close to those previously found on cluster models: bridging chlorine atoms connect the Ti to the Mg atoms and the systems remain in high spin states. The (0 0 0 1) surface is the most stable face of the -MgCl2 crystal; however it is Cl-terminated and henceforth poorly reactive; it had been suggested to deposit metallic Mg in order to improve its reactivity. Our modelling explains the failure of this tentative; the interaction between the deposited metal and the surface is repulsive and uncharged Mg atom does not bind.  相似文献

A new [(C2H5)4N]6Bi8Cl30 crystal of the family of alkylammonium halogenobismuthates was grown. X-ray diffraction studies showed that the crystals are monoclinic, space group C2/m with a = 20.117(5), b = 12.682(3), c = 20.396(5) Å, β = 93.03(3), Z =2. The lattice consists of (C2H5)4N+ cations and a new type of Bi8Cl6−30 anion. Dielectric studies revealed two closely-lying structural phase transitions around 241 K (on cooling). They were interpreted as due to a freezing of the rotational motions of tetraethylammonium cations.  相似文献

The interaction of CO2 with Cs-promoted Fe(110) at 85 K as well as temperature-dependent reactions between 100 and 700 K have been studied by means of ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Several surface species could be detected at 85 K, i.e. carbon monoxide (CO), carbonate (COn3), physisorbed linear carbon dioxide (COlin2) and very small amounts of oxidic oxygen (Oox). An oxalate species (C2Om4) could not be identified definitively, but from comparison with the literature there is evidence that C2Om4 is present. Increasing the temperature after saturation with CO2 leads to a complicated reaction behaviour. CO2 either desorbs or dissociates into CO and COn3 or forms C2Om4 at temperatures between 85 and 160 K. Above 160 K C2Om4, decomposes in parallel reactions into CO2, COn3 and CO. Above 320 K, adsorbed CO either desorbs into the gas phase or dissociates into C and O. In the temperature region between 500 and 700 K a recombination of C and O to CO and the desorption of Cs take place. As in the case of Fe(110)/K+CO2, at high alkali coverages two carbonate species could be detected which dissociate upon heating at different temperatures. The system Fe(110)/Cs+CO2 is proved to be very similar to the system Fe(110)/K+CO2.  相似文献

自旋翻转和自旋转移是实现基于内嵌富勒体系自旋逻辑功能器件设计的先决条件.本文以双磁性中心内嵌富勒烯Y_2C_2@C8_2-C_2(1)体系为例,采用第一性原理计算方法,结合Λ进程理论模型和自编的遗传算法程序,在该内嵌富勒烯体系中分别实现了亚皮秒时间尺度内的自旋翻转和自旋转移过程.计算结果表明,优化后的内嵌Y_2C_2团簇结构和实验得到的各项数据基本吻合,并且会对外部的C8_2-C_2(1)笼结构产生一定的排斥力,但由于富勒烯笼状结构具有很强的稳定性,所以整个体系仍然保持碳笼结构的完整性.通过对自旋密度分布与激光脉冲作用下自旋期望值演化的具体分析,经由Λ进程的自旋翻转是基于两个Y元素的整体自旋翻转;自旋转移则源自两个磁性中心以及碳笼之间在激光脉冲作用下的自旋密度重新分布.本文结果揭示了Y_2C_2@C8_2-C_2(1)体系中的超快自旋动力学机理,可望为基于实际内嵌富勒烯分子的自旋逻辑功能器件设计提供理论依据.  相似文献
