Gradient Estimates for a Nonlinear Diffusion Equation on Complete Manifolds

This paper deals with the gradient estimates of the Hamilton type for the positive solutions to the following nonlinear diffusion equation:u_t = △u +▽φ·▽u+a(x)uln u + b(x)u on a complete noncompact Riemannian manifold with a Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature bounded below by- K(K ≥ 0),where φ is a C~2 function,a(x) and b(x) are C~1 functions with certain conditions.     

关于黎曼流形上的一个扩散方程的一些梯度估计

我们给出关于黎曼流形上的扩散方程θtu=Δu-▽φ·▽u（这里φ是一个C^2函数）的一些梯度估计。这推广了R.Hamilton和Qi S.Zhang关于热方程的一些梯度估计。     

Gradient Estimates for a Nonlinear Heat Equation Under Finsler-geometric Flow

This paper considers a compact Finsler manifold $(M^n, F(t), m)$ evolving under a Finsler-geometric flow and establishes global gradient estimates for positive solutions of the following nonlinear heat equation $$\partial_{t}u(x,t)=\Delta_{m} u(x,t),~~~~~~~~~~(x,t)\in M\times[0,T],$$where $\Delta_{m}$ is the Finsler-Laplacian. By integrating the gradient estimates, we derive the corresponding Harnack inequalities. Our results generalize and correct the work of S. Lakzian, who established similar results for the Finsler-Ricci flow. Our results are also natural extension of similar results on Riemannian-geometric flow, previously studied by J. Sun. Finally, we give an application to the Finsler-Yamabe flow.     

Some Gradient Estimates and Liouville Properties of the Fast Diffusion Equation on Riemannian Manifolds*

In the paper, the authors provide a new proof and derive some new elliptic type (Hamilton type) gradient estimates for fast diffusion equations on a complete noncompact Riemannian manifold with a fixed metric and along the Ricci flow by constructing a new auxiliary function. These results generalize earlier results in the literature. And some parabolic type Liouville theorems for ancient solutions are obtained.

Gradient Estimates for a Nonlinear Parabolic Equation with Diffusion on Complete Noncompact Manifolds

The authors obtain some gradient estimates for positive solutions to the following nonlinear parabolic equation:αu/αt=△u-b(x,t)u~σ on complete noncompact manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below,where 0σ1 is a real constant,and b(x,t) is a function which is C~2 in the x-variable and C~1 in the t-variable.     

Elliptic gradient estimates for diffusion operators on complete riemannian manifolds

In this note, we obtain the elliptic estimate for diffusion operator L = Δ + ∇??∇ on complete, noncompact Riemannian manifolds, under the curvature condition CD(K,m), which generalizes B. L. Kotschwar's work [5]. As an application, we get estimate on the heat kernel. The Bernstein-type gradient estimate for Schrödinger-type gradient is also derived.     

ELLIPTIC GRADIENT ESTIMATES FOR DIFFUSION OPERATORS ON COMPLETE RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLDS

In this note,we obtain the elliptic estimate for diffusion operator L=△+φ on complete,noncompact Riemannian manifolds,under the curvature condition C D(K,m),which generalizes B.L.Kotschwar's work [5].As an application,we get estimate on the heat kernel.The Bernstein-type gradient estimate for Schro¨dinger-type gradient is also derived.     

Gradient estimates for positive smooth f-harmonic functions

For Riemannian manifolds with a measure, we study the gradient estimates for positive smooth f-harmonic functions when the ∞-Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor and Ricci tensor are bounded from below, generalizing the classical ones of Yau (i.e., when f is constant).

A priori Estimates and Existence for a Class of Fully Nonlinear Elliptic Equations in Conformal Geometry

In this paper we prove the interior gradient and second derivative estimates for a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations determined by symmetric functions of eigenvalues of the Ricci or Schouten tensors. As an application we prove the existence of solutions to the equations when the manifold is locally conformally flat or the Ricci curvature is positive.     

Complicated Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions for the Cauchy Problem of Doubly Nonlinear Diffusion Equation

In this paper, we analyze the large time behavior of nonnegative solutions to the doubly nonlinear diffusion equation $$u_t−{\rm div}(|∇u^m|^{p−2}∇u^m)=0$$ in $\mathbb{R}^N$ with $p>1,$ $m>0$ and $m(p−1)−1>0.$ By using the finite propagation property and the $L^1-L^∞$ smoothing effect, we find that the complicated asymptotic behavior of the rescaled solutions $t^{\mu/2}u(t^{β_·},t)$ for $0<\mu<2N/(N[m(p−1)−1]+p)$ and $β>(2−\mu[m(p−1)−1])/(2p)$ can take place.
