In this paper, two kinds of parametric generalized vector equilibrium problems in normed spaces are studied. The sufficient conditions for the continuity of the solution mappings to the two kinds of parametric generalized vector equilibrium problems are established under suitable conditions. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some main results in Chen and Gong (Pac J Optim 3:511–520, 2010), Chen and Li (Pac J Optim 6:141–152, 2010), Chen et al. (J Glob Optim 45:309–318, 2009), Cheng and Zhu (J Glob Optim 32:543–550, 2005), Gong (J Optim Theory Appl 139:35–46, 2008), Li and Fang (J Optim Theory Appl 147:507–515, 2010), Li et al. Given two bounded linear operators $P$ and $Q$ on a Banach space the formula for the Drazin inverse of $P+Q$ is given, under the assumptions $P^2 Q+PQ^2=0$ and $P^3 Q=PQ^3=0$ . In particular, some recent results arising in Drazin (Am Math Mon 65:506–514, 1958), Hartwig et al. (Linear Algebra Appl 322:207–217, 2001) and Castro-González et al. Suppose ? is a right Ore domain with unity 1. In this paper, we investigate the existence of the group inverse of some anti-triangular block matrices over ? and obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions for such existence. Further, the representations of the group inverse for the following two classes are given. (i) , where CA=C; (ii) , where B ? exists and BA=BAB ? B. The results extend the earlier works of Liu et al. (in Appl. Math. Comput. 218:8978–8986, 2012) and Zhao et al. (in E. J. Linear Algebra 21:63–75, 2010). Some results in special cases are also generalized to any ring.  相似文献

By using Mawhin continuation theorem and constructing suitable Lyapunov functional, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and global asymptotical stability of positive periodic solutions for two-species non-autonomous diffusion competition n-patch system with time delay and impulses are established. Finally, applications and an illustrative example are given. The main results generalize and improve the previously known results in Zhang and Wang (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 265:38–48, 2002), Dong et al. We introduce an efficient and robust proposal for solving linear systems arising at each iteration of primal-dual interior-point methods for linear programming. Our proposal is based on the stable system presented by Gonzalez-Lima et al. (Comput. Opt. Appl. 44:213–247, 2009). Using similar techniques as those employed in the splitting preconditioner introduced by Oliveira and Sorensen (Linear Algebra Appl. 394:1–24, 2005) we are able to express the stable system matrix in block form such that the diagonal blocks are nonsingular diagonal matrices and the off-diagonal blocks are matrices close to zero when the iterates are close to the solution set of the linear programming problem. For degenerate problems a perturbation of the diagonal is added. We use a low-cost fixed iterative method to solve this system. Numerical experiments have shown that our approach leads to very accurate solutions for the linear programming problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we use the Apéry table of the numerical semigroup associated to an affine monomial curve in order to characterize arithmetic properties and invariants of its tangent cone. In particular, we precise the shape of the Apéry table of a numerical semigroup of embedding dimension 3, when the tangent cone of its monomial curve is Buchsbaum or 2-Buchsbaum, and give new proofs for two conjectures raised by Sapko (Commun. Algebra 29:4759–4773, 2001) and Shen (Commun. Algebra 39:1922–1940, 2001). We also provide a new simple proof in the case of monomial curves for Sally’s conjecture (Numbers of Generators of Ideals in Local Rings, 1978) that the Hilbert function of a one-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay ring with embedding dimension three is non-decreasing. Finally, we obtain that monomial curves of embedding dimension 4 whose tangent cones are Buchsbaum, and also monomial curves of any embedding dimensions whose numerical semigroups are balanced, have non-decreasing Hilbert functions. Numerous examples are provided to illustrate the results, most of them computed by using the NumericalSgps package of GAP (Delgado et al., NumericalSgps-a GAP package, 2006).  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a composite iterative algorithm with errors for approximating a common fixed points of non-self asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the framework of Hilbert spaces. Our results improve and extend Chidume et al. (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 280:364–374, [2003]), Shahzad (Nonlinear Anal. 61:1031–1039, [2005]), Su and Qin (J. Appl. Math. We introduce and study new families of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras with the Chevalley property that are not pointed nor semisimple arising as twistings of quantum linear spaces. These Hopf algebras generalize the examples introduced in Andruskiewitsch et al. (Mich Math J 49(2):277–298, 2001), Etingof and Gelaki (Int Math Res Not 14:757–768, 2002, Math Res Lett 8:249–255, 2001).  相似文献

For a computable structure \({\mathcal{A}}\) , there may not be a computable infinitary Scott sentence. When there is a computable infinitary Scott sentence \({\varphi}\) , then the complexity of the index set \({I(\mathcal{A})}\) is bounded by that of \({\varphi}\) . There are results (Ash and Knight in Computable structures and the hyperarithmetical hierarchy. Elsevier, Amsterdam, 2000; Calvert et al. in Algeb Log 45:306–315, 2006; Carson et al. in Trans Am Math Soc 364:5715–5728, 2012; McCoy and Wallbaum in Trans Am Math Soc 364:5729–5734, 2012; Knight and Saraph in Scott sentences for certain groups, pre-print) giving “optimal” Scott sentences for structures of various familiar kinds. These results have been driven by the thesis that the complexity of the index set should match that of an optimal Scott sentence (Ash and Knight in Computable structures and the hyperarithmetical hierarchy. Elsevier, Amsterdam, 2000; Calvert et al. in Algeb Log 45:306–315, 2006; Carson et al. in Trans Am Math Soc 364:5715–5728, 2012; McCoy and Wallbaum in Trans Am Math Soc 364:5729–5734, 2012). In this note, it is shown that the thesis does not always hold. For a certain subgroup of \({\mathbb{Q}}\) , there is no computable d- \({\Sigma_2}\) Scott sentence, even though (as shown in Ash and Knight in Scott sentences for certain groups, pre-print) the index set is d- \({\Sigma^0_2}\) .  相似文献

We establish a new theorem of existence (and uniqueness) of solutions to the Navier-Stokes initial boundary value problem in exterior domains. No requirement is made on the convergence at infinity of the kinetic field and of the pressure field. These solutions are called non-decaying solutions. The first results on this topic dates back about 40 years ago see the references (Galdi and Rionero in Ann. Mat. Pures Appl. 108:361–366, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 62:295–301, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 69:37–52, 1979, Pac. J. Math. 104:77–83, 1980; Knightly in SIAM J. Math. Anal. 3:506–511, 1972). In the articles Galdi and Rionero (Ann. Mat. Pures Appl. 108:361–366, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 62:295–301, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 69:37–52, 1979, Pac. J. Math. 104:77–83, 1980) it was introduced the so called weight function method to study the uniqueness of solutions. More recently, the problem has been considered again by several authors (see Galdi et al. in J. Math. Fluid Mech. 14:633–652, 2012, Quad. Mat. 4:27–68, 1999, Nonlinear Anal. 47:4151–4156, 2001; Kato in Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 169:159–175, 2003; Kukavica and Vicol in J. Dyn. Differ. Equ. 20:719–732, 2008; Maremonti in Mat. We present a local as well as a semilocal convergence analysis for Newton’s method for approximating a locally unique solution of a nonlinear equation in a Banach space setting. Our hypotheses involve m-Fréchet-differentiable operators and general Lipschitz-type hypotheses, where m≥2 is a positive integer. The new convergence analysis unifies earlier results; it is more flexible and provides a finer convergence analysis than in earlier studies such as Argyros in J. Comput. Appl. Math. 131:149–159, 2001, Argyros and Hilout in J. Appl. Math. Comput. 29:391–400, 2009, Argyros and Hilout in J. Complex. 28:364–387, 2012, Argyros et al. In this paper, under new assumptions, which do not contain any information about the solution set, the lower semicontinuity of solution mappings to a parametric generalized strong vector equilibrium problem are established by using a scalarization method. These results extend and generalize the corresponding ones in Gong and Yao (J Optim Theory Appl 138:197–205, 2008), Chen and Li (Pac J Optim 6:141–151, 2010) and Li et al. (2012, submitted). Motivated by a statistical problem, in (Aggarwala and Lamoureux in Am. Math. Mon., 109:371–377, 2002) it is shown how to invert a linear combination of the Pascal matrix with the identity matrix. Continuing this idea, we invert various linear combinations of the Catalan matrix, introduced in (Stanimirovi? et al. in Appl. Math. Comput. 215:796–805, 2009), with the identity matrix. In (Aggarwala and Lamoureux in Am. Math. Mon., 109:371–377, 2002) the occurrence of the polylogarithm function is observed. Inverses of linear combinations of the Catalan and the identity matrix are expressed in terms of Catalan numbers, the pochhammer function and the generalized hypergeometric function.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new iterative algorithm for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of notself strict pseudocontractions and the set of solutions of a general variational inequality problem for finite inverse-strongly accretive mappings in q-uniformly smooth Banach space. We obtain some strong convergence theorems under suitable conditions. Our results improve and extend the recent results announced by Qin et al. (J Comput Appl Math 233:231–240, 2009), Yao et al. (Acta Appl Math 110:1211–1244, 2010) and many others.  相似文献

Let $\mathcal{C}$ be a length-category. Generalizing the Loewy length, we propose the layer length associated with a torsion theory, which is a new measure for objects of $\mathcal{C}$ . As an application, we use the layer lengths and the Igusa–Todorov function to get a theorem (see Theorem 6.4) having as corollaries the main results of Huard et al. (Bull Lond Math Soc 41:367–376, 2009) and Wang (Commun Algebra 22(7):419–449, 1994).  相似文献

The general surface group conjecture asks whether a one-relator group where every subgroup of finite index is again one-relator and every subgroup of infinite index is free (property IF) is a surface group. We resolve several related conjectures given in Fine et al. (Sci Math A 1:1–15, 2008). First we obtain the Surface Group Conjecture B for cyclically pinched and conjugacy pinched one-relator groups. That is: if G is a cyclically pinched one-relator group or conjugacy pinched one-relator group satisfying property IF then G is free, a surface group or a solvable Baumslag–Solitar Group. Further combining results in Fine et al. (Sci Math A 1:1–15, 2008) on Property IF with a theorem of Wilton (Geom Topol, 2012) and results of Stallings (Ann Math 2(88):312–334, 1968) and Kharlampovich and Myasnikov (Trans Am Math Soc 350(2):571–613, 1998) we show that Surface Group Conjecture C proposed in Fine et al. (Sci Math A 1:1–15, 2008) is true, namely: If G is a finitely generated nonfree freely indecomposable fully residually free group with property IF, then G is a surface group.  相似文献

We rigorously derive the von Kármán shell theory for incompressible materials, starting from the 3D nonlinear elasticity. In case of thin plates, the Euler-Lagrange equations of the limiting energy functional reduce to the incompressible version of the classical von Kármán equations, obtained formally in the limit of Poisson’s ratio ν → 1/2. More generally, the midsurface of the shell to which our analysis applies, is only assumed to have the following approximation property: ${\mathcal C^3}$ first order infinitesimal isometries are dense in the space of all W 2,2 infinitesimal isometries. The class of surfaces with this property includes: subsets of ${\mathbb R^2}$ , convex surfaces, developable surfaces and rotationally invariant surfaces. Our analysis relies on the methods and extends the results of Conti and Dolzmann (Calc Var PDE 34:531–551, 2009, Lewicka et al. (Ann. Scuola Norm. Sup. Pisa Cl. Sci. (5) Vol. IX:253–295, 2010, Friesecke et al. (Comm. Pure. Appl. Math. 55, no. 2, 1461–1506, 2002).  相似文献

We study a class of authentication codes with secrecy. We determine the maximum success probabilities of the impersonation and the substitution attacks on these codes and the level of secrecy. Therefore we give an answer to an open problem stated in Ding et al. (J Pure Appl Algebra 196:149–168, 2005). Our proofs use the number of rational places of a certain class of algebraic function fields. We determine this number by extending the corresponding results of E. Çakçak and F. Özbudak (Finite Fields Appl 14(1):209–220, 2008). Our authentication codes use a map which is not perfect nonlinear in certain subcases. We give an extended and unified approach so that the parameters of our authentication codes are good also when the corresponding map is not perfect nonlinear.  相似文献
