Two catalytic protocols of the oxidative C-C bond formation have been developed on the basis of the C-H bond activation of pyridine N-oxides. Pd-catalyzed alkenylation of the N-oxides proceeds with excellent regio-, stereo-, and chemoselectivity, and the corresponding ortho-alkenylated N-oxide derivatives are obtained in good to excellent yields. Direct cross-coupling reaction of pyridine N-oxides with unactivated arene was also developed in the presence of Pd catalyst and Ag oxidant, which affords ortho-arylated pyridine N-oxide products with high site-selectivity. 相似文献

A general procedure for cobalt-catalyzed direct C-H arylation of unactivated arenes has been discovered. This method employs aryl halides as the direct coupling partners with arenes without using any Grignard-type reagents. Direct arylation reactions of nitrobenzenes and aryl halides occur in good yield and high ortho regioselectivity. These reactions can be performed on gram scale with as few as 3 equiv of the nitro arene relative to the aryl halide. A Pd(OAc)(2)-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction between 2-arylpyridine and aryltrimethoxysilane in the presence of AgF and BQ in 1,4-dioxane was studied. After various reaction parameters (catalyst, oxidant, additive, solvent and reaction temperature) were examined, the optimal conditions for the reaction were identified. The synthesis is compatible to aryltrimethoxysilane with both electron-withdrawing and electron-donating groups on the aryl moiety with moderate yields. Palladium(II)-catalyzed highly regioselective and stereoselective decarboxylative arylation of unactivated olefins with aryl carboxylic acids has been developed. This method is applicable to a variety of unactivated olefins, including allylamides, long chain functionalized olefins and purely aliphatic olefins, leads to the formation of linear E-configured products in high yields. Both electron-rich and electron-deficient aryl carboxylic acids are suitable arylation reagents. It was found that the choice of solvent, catalyst precursor and oxidant had an important influence on reaction efficiency. As a co-solvent and ligand, DMSO is critical to catalysis. This chemistry expands the scope of decarboxylative arylation of olefins with aryl carboxylic acids, and provides a rapid access to useful linear arylation products of unactivated olefins. 相似文献

Oxidative coupling of three different arenes and a thiophene derivative with various arylboronic acids was achieved with a [RhCl(C2H4)2]2/P[p-(CF3)C6H4]3 catalyst system. Commercially available 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-N-oxyl radical (TEMPO) was used as a stoichiometric oxidant. A 2-pyridyl group and an imine functional group served as ortho-directing groups to mediate the direct C-H arylation by a Rh complex. Under the catalytic influence of RhCl(CO){P[OCH(CF3)2]3}2 and Ag2CO3, the direct C-H arylation of heteroarenes/arenes with aryl/heteroaryl iodides took place to afford a range of biaryls in good to excellent yields with high regioselectivity.
