Cohen, Goresky, and Ji showed that there is a Künneth theorem relating the intersection homology groups to and , provided that the perversity satisfies rather strict conditions. We consider biperversities and prove that there is a Künneth theorem relating to and for all choices of and . Furthermore, we prove that the Künneth theorem still holds when the biperversity p, q is “loosened” a little, and using this we recover the Künneth theorem of Cohen–Goresky–Ji.  相似文献

We provide a sufficient condition on a class of compact basic semialgebraic sets for their convex hull co(K) to have a semidefinite representation (SDr). This SDr is explicitly expressed in terms of the polynomials g j that define K. Examples are provided. We also provide an approximate SDr; that is, for every fixed , there is a convex set such that (where B is the unit ball of ), and has an explicit SDr in terms of the g j ’s. For convex and compact basic semi-algebraic sets K defined by concave polynomials, we provide a simpler explicit SDr when the nonnegative Lagrangian L f associated with K and any linear is a sum of squares. Pairs of numerically satisfactory solutions as for the three-term recurrence relations satisfied by the families of functions , , are given. It is proved that minimal solutions always exist, except when and z is in the positive or negative real axis, and that is minimal as whenever . The minimal solution is identified for any recurrence direction, that is, for any integer values of and . We consider a diffusion process X in a random potential of the form , where is a positive drift and is a strictly stable process of index with positive jumps. Then the diffusion is transient and converges in law towards an exponential distribution. This behaviour contrasts with the case where is a drifted Brownian motion and provides an example of a transient diffusion in a random potential which is as “slow” as in the recurrent setting.   相似文献

Two corrector–predictor interior point algorithms are proposed for solving monotone linear complementarity problems. The algorithms produce a sequence of iterates in the neighborhood of the central path. The first algorithm uses line search schemes requiring the solution of higher order polynomial equations in one variable, while the line search procedures of the second algorithm can be implemented in arithmetic operations, where n is the dimension of the problems, is a constant, and m is the maximum order of the predictor and the corrector. If then both algorithms have iteration complexity. They are superlinearly convergent even for degenerate problems.   相似文献

We study constant mean curvature graphs in the Riemannian three- dimensional Heisenberg spaces . Each such is the total space of a Riemannian submersion onto the Euclidean plane with geodesic fibers the orbits of a Killing field. We prove the existence and uniqueness of CMC graphs in with respect to the Riemannian submersion over certain domains taking on prescribed boundary values. L. J. We study the threshold θ ≥ 2 contact process on a homogeneous tree of degree κ = b + 1, with infection parameter λ ≥ 0 and started from a product measure with density p. The corresponding mean-field model displays a discontinuous transition at a critical point and for it survives iff , where this critical density satisfies , . For large b, we show that the process on has a qualitatively similar behavior when λ is small, including the behavior at and close to the critical point . In contrast, for large λ the behavior of the process on is qualitatively distinct from that of the mean-field model in that the critical density has . New variational principles based on the concept of anti-selfdual (ASD) Lagrangians were recently introduced in “AIHP-Analyse non linéaire, 2006”. We continue here the program of using such Lagrangians to provide variational formulations and resolutions to various basic equations and evolutions which do not normally fit in the Euler-Lagrange framework. In particular, we consider stationary boundary value problems of the form as well ass dissipative initial value evolutions of the form where is a convex potential on an infinite dimensional space, A is a linear operator and is any scalar. The framework developed in the above mentioned paper reformulates these problems as and respectively, where is an “ASD” vector field derived from a suitable Lagrangian L. In this paper, we extend the domain of application of this approach by establishing existence and regularity results under much less restrictive boundedness conditions on the anti-selfdual Lagrangian L so as to cover equations involving unbounded operators. Our main applications deal with various nonlinear boundary value problems and parabolic initial value equations governed by transport operators with or without a diffusion term. We study joint efficient estimation of two parameters dominating either the inverse-Gaussian or gamma subordinator, based on discrete observations sampled at satisfying as . Under the condition that as we have two kinds of optimal rates, and . Moreover, as in estimation of diffusion coefficient of a Wiener process the -consistent component of the estimator is effectively workable even when T n does not tend to infinity. In this article we extend Milnor’s fibration theorem to the case of functions of the form with f, g holomorphic, defined on a complex analytic (possibly singular) germ (X, 0). We further refine this fibration theorem by looking not only at the link of , but also at its multi-link structure, which is more subtle. We mostly focus on the case when X has complex dimension two. Our main result (Theorem 4.4) gives in this case the equivalence of the following three statements:
(i)  The real analytic germ has 0 as an isolated critical value;
(ii)  the multilink is fibered; and
(iii)  if is a resolution of the holomorphic germ , then for each rupture vertex (j) of the decorated dual graph of π one has that the corresponding multiplicities of f, g satisfy: .
Moreover one has that if these conditions hold, then the Milnor-Lê fibration of is a fibration of the multilink . We also give a combinatorial criterium to decide whether or not the multilink is fibered. If the meromorphic germ f/g is semitame, then we show that the Milnor-Lê fibration given by is equivalent to the usual Milnor fibration given by . In this paper we study the positive Borel measures μ on the unit disc in for which the Bloch space is continuously included in , 0 < p < ∞. We call such measures p-Bloch-Carleson measures. We give two conditions on a measure μ in terms of certain logarithmic integrals one of which is a necessary condition and the other a sufficient condition for μ being a p-Bloch-Carleson measure. We also give a complete characterization of the p-Bloch-Carleson measures within certain special classes of measures. It is also shown that, for p > 1, the p-Bloch-Carleson measures are exactly those for which the Toeplitz operator , defined by , maps continuously into the Bergman space A 1, . Furthermore, we prove that if p > 1, α >-1 and ω is a weight which satisfies the Bekollé-Bonami -condition, then the measure defined by is a p-Bloch-Carleson-measure. We also consider the Banach space of those functions f which are analytic in and satisfy , as . The Bloch space is contained in . We describe the p-Carleson measures for and study weighted composition operators and a class of integration operators acting in this space. We determine which of these operators map continuously to the weighted Bergman space and show that they are automatically compact. Important examples of classes of functions are the classes of sets (elements of ω 2) which separate a given pair of disjoint r.e. sets: . A wider class consists of the classes of functions f ω k which in a generalized sense separate a k-tuple of r.e. sets (not necessarily pairwise disjoint) for each kω: . We study the structure of the Medvedev degrees of such classes and show that the set of degrees realized depends strongly on both k and the extent to which the r.e. sets intersect. Let denote the Medvedev degrees of those such that no m + 1 sets among A 0,...,A k-1 have a nonempty intersection. It is shown that each is an upper semi-lattice but not a lattice. The degree of the set of k-ary diagonally nonrecursive functions is the greatest element of . If 2 ≤ l < k, then 0 M is the only degree in which is below a member of . Each is densely ordered and has the splitting property and the same holds for the lattice it generates. The elements of are exactly the joins of elements of for .
