The performance of accelerated solvent extraction in the analysis of terpenoids and sterols in tobacco samples was investigated and compared with those of Soxhlet extraction and ultrasonically assisted extraction with respect to yield, extraction time, reproducibility and solvent consumption. The results indicate that although the highest yield was achieved by Soxhlet extraction, ASE appears to be a promising alternative to classical methods since it is faster and uses less solvent, especially when applied to the investigation of large batch tobacco samples. However, Soxhlet extraction is still the preferred method for analyzing sterols since it gives a higher extraction efficiency than other methods.  相似文献

In this paper, a microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method was established for aristolochic acid-I from Aristolochiae Fructus, and the advantage of MAE was evaluated by chromatographic analysis coupled with nephrotoxicity studies. The experimental parameters of MAE for aristolochic acid-I in Aristolochiae Fructus were investigated and MAE was compared with Soxhlet extraction and ultrasound-assisted extraction in terms of extraction yields and extraction conditions. Under the optimum conditions, MAE could provide higher extraction yields of aristolochic acid-I (1.10 mg/g) than ultrasound-assisted extraction (0.82 mg/g) and Soxhlet extraction (0.95 mg/g), in addition to using less solvent and having a shorter extraction time. Furthermore, the nephrotoxicities of the extracts of Aristolochiae Fructus from different extraction procedures were investigated in Sprague-Dawley rats. The results of nephrotoxicity studies of, for example, general conditions, biochemistry parameters and histopathology examination showed no significantly differences in the nephrotoxicity levels of the extracts from MAE and that from Soxhlet extraction. These results indicated that MAE technique is a simple, rapid and effective extraction method, and the microwave irradiation during MAE procedure did not have any influence on the nephrotoxicity of Aristolochiae Fructus compared with Soxhlet extraction.  相似文献

The performances of Soxhlet extraction, dive-in Soxhlet extraction, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), fluidized-bed extraction (FBE), and ultrasonic extraction (UE) for the analysis of organochlorine pesticides in animal feed have been investigated. ASE and MAE provided significantly better extraction efficiency than Soxhlet extraction. The concentrations were 126.7 and 114.8%, respectively, of the values obtained by classical Soxhlet extraction, whereas the results from FBE and dive-in Soxhlet were comparable with those from the standard Soxhlet procedure. The reproducibility of FBE was the best, with RSDs ranging from 0.3 to 3.9%. Under the investigated operation conditions UE was not efficient, with the recoveries of target compounds being about 50% less than Soxhlet. Additionally, the performances of Soxhlet, dive-in Soxhlet, MAE, ASE and FBE were validated by determination of the certified reference material BCR-115. The results from the extraction techniques were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

Extraction methods using stirring extraction, Soxhlet extraction, ultrasonic extraction and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) were evaluated for the percentage extraction of camptothecin (CPT) and 9-methoxycamptothecin (9-Me-CPT) from Nothapodytes foetida. The extracts were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Methanol (90%, v/v) extracted high percentage extraction of CPT and 9-Me-CPT compared to ethanol (90%, v/v). The results shows that the percentage extraction of CPT and 9-Me-CPT from N. foetida by MAE was more efficient in short time followed by Soxhlet extraction, ultrasonic and stirring extraction methods. Maximum percentage extraction of CPT (2.67%, w/w) was obtained by MAE technique. MAE has need of 3 min, whereas ultrasonic extraction, Soxhlet extraction and stirring extraction techniques require 30, 120 and 30 min, respectively to leach higher percentage extraction of CPT and 9-Me-CPT. The times taken by the microwave extraction process was 40 times less than the Soxhlet extraction for percentage extraction of alkaloids. The present results show that the extraction efficiency and considerable saving of time by MAE was more competent than the other extraction techniques.  相似文献

A new extraction technique, ionic liquid-assisted extraction (ILAE), has been developed. The ILAE process was further optimized by varying different parameters such as pretreatment time and temperature, ionic liquid/sample ratio, particle size and solvents. Under the optimum conditions, the extraction yield of ILAE was higher than that of Soxhlet extraction. The results of bioassay test showed that crude extract of ILAE was almost the same with that of Soxhlet extraction. The results in this study can serve as a reference for the ILAE of effective constituents in medicinal plants.  相似文献

Pressurized hot water extraction (PHWE) conditions (time, temperature, pressure) were optimized for the extraction of naringenin and other major flavonoids (dihydrokaempferol, naringin) from knotwood of aspen. Extracts were analysed by GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC-UV and HPLC-MS. The results were compared with those obtained by Soxhlet, ultrasonic extraction and reflux in methanol. Flavonoids were most efficiently extracted with PHWE at 150 °C and 220 bar with 35 min extraction time. Soxhlet with methanol gave slightly higher recoveries, but an extraction time of 48 h was required. Naringenin concentration was highest in knotwood (1.15% dry weight) and much lower in the sapwood. PHWE proved to be cheap, fast and effective for the isolation of biofunctional flavonoids from aspen knotwood, producing higher recoveries than 24 h Soxhlet extraction, sonication or 24 h reflux.  相似文献

Sumamry Soybean, rape and sunflower lipids have been extracted with a focused microwave-assisted Saxhlet extractor. The main factors affecting extraction efficiency, namely microwave irradiation power, number of cycles and microwave irradiation time were optimised by means of a power, number of cycles and microwave irradiation time were optimised by means of a central composite design based on a two-level-three-factor factorial design. A study of the influence of particle size on the extraction procedure was also performed. The results obtained were compared with those obtained by use of an ISO method using a conventional Soxhlet extractor. Quantitative results for lipid content based on gravimetric determinations and qualitative results based on analysis of fatty acid methyl esters and polymeric compounds were similar to those obtained by Soxhlet extraction with hexane. Substantial reduction of sample manipulation. analysis time and solvent wastage is achieved by use of the proposed method.  相似文献

A microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method was optimised for extracting 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (TCA), 2,3,4,6-tetrachloroanisole (TeCA), pentachloroanisole (PCA), 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (TCP), 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol (TeCP) and pentachlorophenol (PCP) from oak barrels. The method was optimised by using a central composite experimental design with extraction time, temperature and solvent volume as influential parameters. A desirability function was then employed in addition to the simultaneous optimisation of the compounds. The optimal conditions identified were temperature 130 degrees C, solvent volume 35 mL and extraction time 50 min. The compounds were determined by gas chromatography with electron-capture detection. MAE was compared with conventional Soxhlet extraction; the results obtained with MAE were in good agreement with those obtained by Soxhlet extraction.  相似文献

The microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) and Soxhlet extraction of two isomers of hexachlorocyclohexane, alpha-HCH and gamma-HCH, from a polluted landfill soil have been optimized following different experimental designs. In the case of microwave-assisted extraction, the following variables were considered: pressure, extraction time, microwave power, percentage of acetone in n-hexane mixture and solvent volume. When ASE extraction was studied the variables were pressure, temperature and extraction time. Finally, the percentage of acetone in n-hexane mixture and the extraction time were the only variables studied for Soxhlet extraction. The concentrations obtained by the three extraction techniques were, within their experimental uncertainties, in good agreement. This fact assures the possibility of using both ASE and MAE techniques in the routine determination of lindane in polluted soils and sediments.  相似文献

The methods of simultaneous extraction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) from soils using Soxhlet extraction, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) and accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) were established, and the extraction efficiencies using the three methods were systemically compared from procedural blank, limits of detection and quantification, method recovery and reproducibility, method chromatogram and other factors. In addition, soils with different total organic carbon contents were used to test the extraction efficiencies of the three methods. The results showed that the values obtained in this study were comparable with the values reported by other studies. In some respects such as method recovery and reproducibility, there were no significant differences among the three methods for the extraction of PAHs and OCPs. In some respects such as procedural blank and limits of detection and quantification, there were significant differences among the three methods. Overall, ASE had the best extraction efficiency compared to MAE and Soxhlet extraction, and the extraction efficiencies of MAE and Soxhlet extraction were comparable to each other depending on the property such as TOC content of the studied soil. Considering other factors such as solvent consumption and extraction time, ASE and MAE are preferable to Soxhlet extraction.  相似文献

利用高压微波提取法、常压回流微波提取法、流动微波提取法和索氏提取法提取中药刺五加中黄酮和皂苷类化合物,考察各种提取方法提取效率随时间的变化。结果表明,高压微波提取法在压力为300kPa,完全提取的时间为10min;常压回流微波提取法完全提取的时间为14min;流动微波提取法完全提取的时间为10min;索氏提取法需8h尚能完成。各种提取方法总黄酮的提取率分别为43.7、48.2、42.7和34.7mg/g;总皂苷的提取效率分别为60.2、61.5、59.8和46.5mg/g。与索氏提取法比较,微波提取法提取黄酮和皂苷,提取时间大大缩短,且提取效率显著提高。  相似文献

Poly(Divinylbenzene)PolyHIPE (Poly(DVB)PolyHIPE) was successfully prepared by using two different systems of three-component surfactants (S20M and S80M) and toluene as porogenic solvent. Phase morphology, mechanical properties and surface area measurements of the obtained Poly(DVB)Poly HIPE were investigated. After polymerization of continuous phase followed by extraction process, the porous materials (open cellular structure with interconnections) were obtained. The cell size and surface area were found to be improved: this is due to the ability of porogenic solvent and mixture of the surfactants to prevent the Ostwald ripening (coalescence) of the emulsion droplet system. Moreover, the surface area and mechanical properties of the resulting materials were found to be depended on the Soxhlet extraction time. It was demonstrated that the usage of Soxhlet extraction technique for Poly(DVB)PolyHIPE improved surface area of the obtained materials by 107% as compared with the unextracted PolyHIPE. However, when the extraction time was longer than 12 hours, the properties of the obtained materials became poor. It was concluded that the suitable Soxhlet extraction time for Poly(DVB)PolyHIPE was 6–12 hours and at this condition, high surface area with the highest mechanical properties of the porous material were obtained.  相似文献

A novel technique that integrates extraction and clean‐up into a single step format is reported as part of the search for new sample preparation techniques in the analysis of persistent organic pollutants from complex samples. This was achieved by combining the extraction efficiency of the Soxhlet extractor, the selectivity of a size exclusion membrane and the specificity of a molecularly imprinted polymer for the extraction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from wastewater sludge followed by quantitation using gas chromatography with time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry. The approach is described as the Soxhlet extraction membrane‐assisted solvent extraction molecularly imprinted polymer technique. This technique was optimised for various parameters such as extraction solvent, reflux time and membrane acceptor phase. The applicability of the developed technique was optimised using a wastewater sludge certified reference material and then tested on real wastewater sludge samples. The method detection limits ranged from 0.14 to 12.86 ng/g with relative standard deviation values for the extraction of the 16 US‐EPA priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from wastewater sludge samples ranging from 0.78 to 18%. The extraction process was therefore reproducible and showed remarkable selectivity. The developed technique is a promising prospect that can be applied in the analysis of organic pollutants from complex solid samples.  相似文献

Two variants of solvent extraction method (by Soxhlet and ultrasonic) for phthalate esters (DEHP) recoveries in PVC samples were compared. Solvent and extraction time for both techniques were also studied. DEHP content was quantified by GC-MS. The results obtained were compared using statistical methods (LSD test, t-test). 16-Hours DCM Soxhlet and 2-h DCM ultrasonic extraction methods were more convenient with respect to recovery, precision and practicability.  相似文献

An analytical procedure was developed using headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) for the determination of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and their metabolites in sandy soil samples. The developed procedures involving fiber selection, temperature effect, absorption time, soil matrix and the addition of solvents of different polarity were optimized. Also, the results were compared to those achieved using Soxhlet extraction standard method. The 100-microm polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and 65-microm PDMS-divinylbenzene showed good extraction efficiency for 18 organochlorine pesticides. An increase in the extraction efficiency of organochlorine pesticides and the metabolites was observed when the temperature increased, and an optimum temperature of 70 degrees C for extracting OCPs was obtained. The application of other hydrophilic solvents had different effects on the extraction of organochlorine pesticides and the metabolites. Higher responses of OCPs were obtained when 5 ml of water was added to the soil. Good linearity of OCPs between 0.2 and 4 ng/g soil was observed. The relative standard deviation was found to be lower than 25%. Also the limits of detection were between 0.06 and 0.65 ng/g, which were lower than those obtained using Soxhlet extraction. Moreover, the optimized HS-SPME procedure was applied to the analysis of OCPs in certified reference material (CRM) 804-050 soil and compared with Soxhlet extraction procedure. Results obtained in this study were in good agreement with those obtained using Soxhlet extraction. The mean values obtained using HS-SPME technique were in the range of 16.5 to 1459.6 mg/kg, which corresponds to the recoveries of 68% to 127% of the certified values of CRM soil.  相似文献

In order to reduce time of analysis, a new pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) method that automatically and rapidly achieves quantitative and selective extraction of 39 polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners in sediment samples was optimized. It consists of on-line cleanup by inclusion of sorbents in the extraction cell. The new method was compared with a conventional method based on the use of Soxhlet extraction followed by solid-phase extraction (SPE) with cartridges. The instrumental determination was performed by GC-MS, using negative chemical ionization in the selected-ion monitoring mode. Recoveries from 47 to 82% were obtained for spiked tri- to hepta-PBDE congeners in sediment sample. The repeatability of replicate extractions was better than 15% relative standard deviation. The detection limits obtained with the new developed method were between 1 and 46 pg/g dry weight. The reduction in the sample preparation (extraction + cleanup) time (from days to 30 min) with a similar efficiency than that afforded by the conventional Soxhlet extraction-SPE cleanup technique indicates the suitability of this method. The method was applied to sediment samples where the analytes were detected in the range of 0.86-2.49 ng/g dry mass.  相似文献

Kiwi seed oil has a nutritionally interesting fatty acid profile, but a rather low oxidative stability, which requires careful extraction procedures and adequate packaging and storage. For these reasons and with the aim to achieve process intensification with shorter extraction time, lower energy consumption and higher yields, four different non-conventional techniques were experimented. Kiwi seeds were extracted in hexane using classic Soxhlet as well as under power ultrasound (US), microwaves (MWs; closed vessel) and MW-integrated Soxhlet. Supercritical CO? was also employed and compared to the other techniques in term of yield, extraction time, fatty acid profiles and organoleptic properties. All these non-conventional techniques are fast, effective and safe. A sensory evaluation test showed the presence of off-flavours in oil samples extracted by Soxhlet and US, an indicator of partial degradation.  相似文献
