The series Ba1−xLaxTi1−xCrxO3 (0≤x≤1) was synthesized at 1400°C for about 60 h. Their structure was carefully analyzed by the use of powder X-ray diffraction and Rietveld analysis software GSAS (General Structure Analysis System). Four solid solutions are found in this series: tetragonal solid solution Ba1−xLaxTi1−xCrxO3 (0≤x≤0.029), cubic solid solution Ba1−xLaxTi1−xCrxO3 (0.0365≤x≤0.600), rhombohedral solid solution Ba1−xLaxTi1−xCrxO3 (0.700≤x≤0.873), and orthorhombic solid solution Ba1−xLaxTi1−xCrxO3 (0.956≤x≤1). There are corresponding two-phase regions between the adjacent two solid solutions. The detailed lattice parameters are presented. The relationship between the lattice parameters and the composition of the solid solutions is developed.  相似文献

The series Ba6−xEuxTi2+xTa8−xO30 and Ba4−yKyEu2Ti4−yTa6+yO30 have been synthesized at 1400°C in air. They exhibit efficient excitation at about 400 nm and typical emission of Eu3+ at about 580-620 nm, form solid solutions within 0.0?x?2.0 and 0?y?4 respectively, and crystallized in P4/mbm at room temperature with Eu atoms occupied at centrosymmetric site (0, 0, 0). Their conductivity is very low (2.8×10−6 Ω−1 cm−1 at 740°C for Ba6Ti2Ta8O30).  相似文献

The defect chemical relationships in various B-site mixed LaCrO3-based ceramics were investigated by means of high-temperature gravimetry. The nonstoichiometric deviation, δ, in (La0.7Sr0.3)(Cr1−yTiy)O3−δ (y=0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) (LSCT), (La0.75Sr0.25)(Cr0.5Mn0.5)O3−δ (LSCM) and (La0.75Sr0.25)(Cr0.5Fe0.5)O3−δ (LSCF) were measured as a function of oxygen partial pressure, PO2, at temperatures between 973 and 1373 K.The effects of partial replacement of the donor on Cr-sites were examined in LSCT. In LSCM and LSCF, effects of the partial substitution of isovalent transition metals on Cr-sites are discussed. Oxygen nonstoichiometries of various B-site mixed LaCrO3-based ceramics were compared with those of A-site substituted perovskite-type oxides, (La1−xSrx)MO3−δ (where x=0-0.3, M=Cr, Mn and Fe). The partial substitution of the different elements on Cr-sites drastically changed the PO2 and temperature dependence of oxygen vacancy formation in LaCrO3-based ceramics. The defect equilibrium relationships of the localized electron well explained the oxygen vacancy formation in B-site mixed LaCrO3-based ceramics. Oxygen vacancy formation in (La0.7Sr0.3)(Cr1−yTiy)O3−δ (y=0.1 and 0.2) and (La0.7Sr0.3)(Cr0.7Ti0.3)O3−δ was explained by redox reaction of Cr and Ti ions, respectively. The defect equilibrium relationships of LSCM and LSCF were interpreted by redox reaction of Mn ions and Fe ions, respectively. No significant change in valence state of Cr3+ ions in LSCM and LSCF was confirmed under the experimental conditions.  相似文献

This paper describes the results of electron microscopy, high-temperature powder neutron diffraction, and impedance spectroscopy studies of brownmillerite-structured Ba2In2O5 and perovskite structured Ba(InxZr1−x)O3−x/2. The ambient temperature structure of Ba2In2O5 is found to adopt Icmm symmetry, with disorder of the tetrahedrally coordinated (In3+) ions of the type observed previously in Sr2Fe2O5. Ba2In2O5 undergoes a ∼6-fold increase in its ionic conductivity over the narrow temperature range from ∼1140 K to ∼1230 K, in broad agreement with previous studies. This transition corresponds to a change from the brownmillerite structure to a cubic perovskite arrangement with disordered anions. Electron microscopy investigations showed the presence of extended defects in all the crystals analyzed. Ba(InxZr1−x)O3−x/2 samples with x=0.1 to 0.9 adopt the cubic perovskite structure, with the lattice parameter increasing with x.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the defect perovskite series Sr1−xTi1−2xNb2xO3 has been investigated over a range of temperatures using high-resolution synchrotron X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction and electron diffraction. Three distinct regions were observed: 0<x≤0.125 was a solid solution of Sr1−xTi1−2xNb2xO3 with minor SrTiO3 intergrowth, 0.125<x≤0.2 was a pure Sr1−xTi1−2xNb2xO3 solid solution adopting the cubic perovskite type structure (Pmm) and for x>0.2 Sr0.8Ti0.6Nb0.4O3 and Sr3TiNb4O15 formed a two phase region. The cubic structure for Sr0.8Ti0.6Nb0.4O3 was stable over the temperature range 90-1248 K and the thermal expansion co-efficient was determined to be 8.72(9)×10−6 K−1. Electron diffraction studies revealed diffuse scattering due to local scale Ti/Nb displacements and slightly enhanced octahedral rotations that did not lead to long range order. The octahedral rotations were observed to ‘lock-in’ at temperatures below ∼75 K resulting in a tetragonal structure (I4/mcm) with anti-phase octahedral tilting about the c-axis.  相似文献

Five series of perovskite-type compounds in the system La1−xCaxCr1−yTiyO3 with the nominal compositions y=0, x=0-0.5; y=0.2, x=0.2-0.8; y=0.5, x=0.5-1.0; y=0.8, x=0.6-1.0 and y=1, x=0.8-1 were synthesized by a ceramic technique in air (final heating 1350 °C). On the basis of the X-ray analysis of the samples with (Ca/Ti)?1, the phase diagram of the CaTiO3-LaCrIIIO3-CaCrIVO3 quasi-ternary system was constructed. Extended solid solution with a wide homogeneity range is formed in the quasi-ternary system CaCrIVO3-CaTiO3-LaCrIIIO3. The solid solution La(1−x′−y)Ca(x′+y)CrIVxCrIII(1−x′−y)TiyO3 exists by up to 0.6-0.7 mol fractions of CaCrIVO3 (x<0.6-0.7) at the experimental conditions. The crystal structure of the compounds is orthorhombic in the space group Pbnm at room temperature. The lattice parameters and the average interatomic distances of the samples within the solid solution ranges decrease uniformly with increasing Ca content. Outside the quasi-ternary system, the nominal compositions La0.1Ca0.9TiO3, La0.2Ca0.8TiO3, La0.4Ca0.6Cr0.2Ti0.8O3 and La0.3Ca0.7Cr0.2Ti0.8O3 in the system La1−xCaxCr1−yTiyO3 were found as single phases with an orthorhombic structure. In the temperature range between 850 and 1000 °C, the synthesized single-phase compositions are stable at pO2=6×10−16-0.21×105 Pa. Oxygen stoichiometry and electrical conductivity of the separate compounds were investigated as functions of temperature and oxygen partial pressure. The chemical stability of these oxides with respect to oxygen release during thermal dissociation decreases with increasing Ca-content. At 900 °C and oxygen partial pressure 1×10−15-0.21×105 Pa, the compounds with x>y (acceptor doped) are p-type semiconductors and those with x<y (donor doped) and x=y are n-type semiconductors. The type and level of electrical conductivity are functions of the concentration ratios of cations occupying the B-sites of the perovskite structures: [Cr3+]/[Cr4+] and [Ti4+]/[Ti3+]. The maximum electrical conductivity at 900 °C and pO2=10−15 Pa was found for the composition La0.1Ca0.9TiO3 (near 50 S/cm) and in air at 900 °C for La0.5Ca0.5CrO3 (close to 100 S/cm).  相似文献

A series of Ba1-xSrxTi1-yZryO3 (0≤x≤0.5, 0≤y≤0.4) and BA1?xZnxTi1?ySnyO3 (0≤x≤0.3, 0≤y≤0.3) solid solutions were synthesized by low-temperature/low-pressure hydrothermal method below 170°C, 0.8 MPa. XRD pattern and cell parameters-composition figures of these prepared powders demonstrated that they are completely miscible solid solutions based on BaTiO3. Furthermore, TEM showed that they have a shape of uniform, substantially spherical particles with an average particle size of 70 nm in diameter. The sintered ceramics of those powders doped by Sr2+ and Zr4+ or Zn2+ and Sn4+ have dielectric constant twelve times higher than and dielectric loss 1/6 those of pure BaTiO3 phase at room temperature.  相似文献

Phase relations of rutile, freudenbergite, and hollandite structures were examined in the pseudobinary system NaCrO2-TiO2 (i.e., NaxCrxTi8−xO16) at 1350 °C. The hollandite structure was obtained in the composition range 1.7?x?2.0. The symmetry of the samples at room temperature was tetragonal for x=1.7 and 1.75, and monoclinic for x=1.8 and above. Single crystals of monoclinic hollandite Na2Cr2Ti6O16 were grown and the structure refinement has been carried out using an X-ray diffraction technique. The space group was I2/m and cell parameters were a=10.2385(11), b=2.9559(9), c=9.9097(11)Å, and β=90.545(9)° with Z=1. The Na ion distribution in the tunnel was markedly deformed from that in the tetragonal form. It was suggested that Cr/Ti ratios were different between the two framework metal sites.  相似文献

Crystal structure and anisotropy of the thermal expansion of single crystals of La1−xSrxGa1−2xMg2xO3−y (x=0.05 and 0.1) were measured in the temperature range 300-1270 K. High-resolution X-ray powder diffraction data obtained by synchrotron experiments have been used to determine the crystal structure and thermal expansion. The room temperature structure of the crystal with x=0.05 was found to be orthorhombic (Imma, Z=4, a=7.79423(3) Å, b=5.49896(2) Å, c=5.53806(2) Å), whereas the symmetry of the x=0.1 crystal is monoclinic (I2/a, Z=4, a=7.82129(5) Å, b=5.54361(3) Å, c=5.51654(4) Å, β=90.040(1)°). The conductivity in two orthogonal directions of the crystals has been studied. Both, the conductivity and the structural data indicate three phase transitions in La0.95Sr0.05Ga0.9Mg0.1O2.92 at 520-570 K (Imma-I2/a), 770 K (I2/a-R3c) and at 870 K (R3c-R-3c), respectively. Two transitions at 770 K (I2/a-R3c) and in the range 870-970 K (R3c-R-3c) occur in La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples with general formula Yb2−xCrxO3 (0<x<0.03), obtained by sol-gel method and analyzed by X-ray diffraction, formed solid solutions over all the mentioned range. Cr showed a maximum solubility of 2.8 mol% in Yb2O3 sesquioxide at 1000 °C. A preferential substitution of Cr3+ ions over two cationic sites, 8b and 24d in the space group Ia-3 was found. The lattice parameters a are found to vary linearly (10.4402(4) Å <a<10.4372(1) Å) with the composition x. The two independent atoms Yb/Cr have octahedral coordination; however, the degrees of distortion of their coordination polyhedron are different. Replacing Yb3+ by Cr3+ introduces slight changes in the atomic coordinates leading to an increase of the mean cation-anion distances. The ability of Raman spectroscopy to detect changes in local coordination is utilized. A pseudo-tetrahedral coordination for the Cr3+ in the 24d site was found. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of all samples were done in a temperature range of 2-50 K. For T<37 K, the inverse paramagnetic susceptibilities depend linearly on temperature. However, in the high-temperature region, for T>37 K, the inverse paramagnetic susceptibilities are non-linear versus temperature. This deviation from the Curie-Weiss behaviour was discussed.  相似文献

Subsolidus phase relations at ambient atmospheric pressure and elevated temperatures in the Ba1?ySryMnO3?x system were investigated by quenching, gravimetric, and X-ray diffraction methods. The system is not binary above ~1035°C because of reactions with atmospheric oxygen. The air isolar, PO2 = 0.2 atm, was characterized at 1225, 1375, 1490, and 1610°C. Seven oxygen-deficient phases including a perovskite phase characterize the system. Their stability depends on the values of y and x in Ba1?ySryMnO3?x. The cell dimensions of these phases expand as x increases at fixed y. These seven modifications can be retained in stoichiometric form by oxidation at lower temperatures.  相似文献

The structures of Li1+xyNb1−x−3yTix+4yO3 solid solutions within the so-called M-phase field in the Li2O-Nb2O5-TiO2 system were investigated using high-resolution transmission electron, microscope (HRTEM) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results demonstrated that the phase field is not a solid solution but rather a homologous series of commensurate intergrowth structures with LiNbO3-type (LN) slabs separated by single [Ti2O3]2+ corundum-type layers. The thickness of the LN slab decreases with increasing Ti-content from ∼55 to 3 atomic layers in the metastable H-Li2Ti3O7 end-member. The LN slabs accommodate a wide range of Ti4+/Nb5+ substitution, and for a given homolog the distribution of Ti and Nb is not uniform across the slab. A single-crystal X-ray diffraction study of a structure composed of nine-layer LN slabs revealed preferential segregation of Ti to the slab surfaces which apparently provides partial compensation for the charge on the adjacent [Ti2O3]2+ corundum layers. The extra cations in phases with x>0 are accommodated through the formation of Li-rich Li2MO3-type layers in the middle of the LN slabs. The fraction of layers with extra cations increases with increasing Ti-content in the structure.  相似文献

Synthesis of new perovskite Sr1−xyCaxBayMnO3−δ compounds is described in detail and dependence of their phase stability and structural distortions on the tolerance factor is discussed. Oxygen contents have been measured over extended temperature and composition ranges. Neutron powder diffraction was used to precisely measure the A-O and Mn-O bond lengths and derive accurate interatomic distances [Ca-O], [Sr-O], [Ba-O], and [Mn-O]. By using these parameters instead of tabulated ionic radii we have derived the functional dependence of the tolerance factor t=t(x,y,T,δ) on composition, temperature, and oxygen content. At a fixed oxygen content, the tolerance factor is an increasing function of temperature as a result of greater thermal expansion of the average 〈A-O〉 bond relative to the 〈Mn-O〉 bond. We find that the stability of the perovskite phase at high temperature is governed, as expected, by the magnitude of tolerance factor (t?1) which can be adjusted by controlling the oxygen content 3−δ. This dependence of the tolerance factor on oxygen content and temperature can be utilized to design synthesis conditions for the controlled formation of the new, kinetically stable, perovskite phases.  相似文献

The phase transition behavior of perovskite-type compounds, La1−xSrxCrO3, was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dilatometry, dc magnetic susceptibility measurement and X-ray diffraction analysis. Both second-order magnetic phase transition from antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic and first-order structural phase transition from orthorhombic to rhombohedral were observed in the DSC or dilatometric curve of every specimen. The temperatures of both these magnetic and structural phase transitions decreased linearly with an increase in Sr content. The structural phase transition temperature of La1−xSrxCrO3 with x less than 0.11 is higher than the magnetic phase transition temperature; however, a larger decrease in structural phase transition temperature than in magnetic phase transition temperature was observed with an increase in Sr content, resulting in a structural phase transition temperature lower than the magnetic phase transition temperature for La1−xSrxCrO3 with x of more than 0.12. It was also observed that the heat of absorption of the structural phase transition decreased with an increase in x. In the dependence of dc magnetic susceptibility on temperature, variations by not only magnetic but also structural phase transitions were observed. It was also revealed that thermal expansion coefficient is affected not only by structural phase transition but also magnetic phase transition. Magnetic and structural phase diagram of La1−xSrxCrO3, suggesting the existence of two Sr contents and temperatures at which triple phases coexist, was proposed.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe the structural and sensing properties of high-k PrYxOy sensing films deposited on Si substrates through reactive co-sputtering. Secondary ion mass spectrometry and atomic force microscopy were employed to analyze the compositional and morphological features of these films after annealing at various temperatures. The electrolyte-insulator-semiconductor (EIS) device incorporating a PrYxOy sensing membrane that had been annealed at 800 °C exhibited good sensing characteristics, including a high sensitivity (59.07 mV pH−1 in solutions from pH 2 to 12), a low hysteresis voltage (2.4 mV in the pH loop 7 → 4 → 7 → 10 → 7), and a small drift rate (0.62 mV h−1 in the buffer solution at pH 7). The PrYxOy EIS device also showed a high selective response towards H+. This improvement can be attributed to the small number of crystal defects and the large surface roughness. In addition, the enzymatic EIS-based urea biosensor incorporating a high-k PrYxOy sensing film annealed at 800 °C allowed the potentiometric analysis of urea, at concentrations ranging from 1 to 16 mM, with a sensitivity of 9.59 mV mM−1.  相似文献

A series of Ba1-xSrxMyTi1-yO3 (M = Zr, Sn, 0⩽x⩽0.4, 0⩽y⩽0.3) solid solutions were synthesized with the soft chemical method below 100 °C. XRD pattern and cell parameters-composition figures of the prepared powder demonstrate that they are completely miscible solid solutions based on BaTiO3. Furthermore, TEM shows that they have a shape of uniform, substantially spherical particles with an average particle size of 70 nm in diameter. The sintered ceramics of the powder doped with Sr2+and Zr4+ or Sn4+ have dielectric constant eight times higher and dielectric loss thirty per cent lower than those of pure BaTiO3 phase at room temperature.  相似文献

The structure of pseudorhombohedral-type InFe1−xTixO3−x/2 (x=2/3) was refined by Rietveld profile fitting. The crystal is a commensurate member of a series in a solution range on InFeO3-In2Ti2O7 including incommensurate structures. The structure with the unit cell of a=5.9188(1), b=10.1112(2), and c=6.3896(1) Å, β=108.018(2)°, and a space group P21/a is the alternate stacking of an edge-shared InO6 octahedral layer and an Fe/Ti-O plane along c*. Metal sites on the Fe/Ti-O plane are surrounded by four oxygen atoms on the Fe/Ti-O plane and two axial ones. Electric conductivities of the order 10−4 S/cm were observed for the samples at 1000 K, while the oxide ion transport number is almost zero as no electromotive force was detected by an oxygen concentration cell.  相似文献

Three series of vacancy-free quaternary clathrates of type I, Ba8ZnxGe46−xySiy, Ba8(Zn,Cu)xGe46−x, and Ba8(Zn,Pd)xGe46−x, have been prepared by reactions of elemental ingots in vacuum sealed quartz at 800 °C. In all cases cubic primitive symmetry (space group Pm3?n, a∼1.1 nm) was confirmed for the clathrate phase by X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray single crystal analyses. The lattice parameters show a linear increase with increase in Ge for Ba8ZnxGe46−xySiy. M atoms (Zn, Pd, Cu) preferably occupy the 6d site in random mixtures. No defects were observed for the 6d site. Site preference of Ge and Si in Ba8ZnxGe46−xySiy has been elucidated from X-ray refinement: Ge atoms linearly substitute Si in the 24k site whilst a significant deviation from linearity is observed for occupation of the 16i site. A connectivity scheme for the phase equilibria in the “Ba8Ge46” corner at 800 °C has been derived and a three-dimensional isothermal section at 800 °C is presented for the Ba-Pd-Zn-Ge system. Studies of transport properties carried out for Ba8{Cu,Pd,Zn}xGe46−x and Ba8ZnxSiyGe46−xy evidenced predominantly electrons as charge carriers and the closeness of the systems to a metal-to-insulator transition, fine-tuned by substitution and mechanical processing of starting material Ba8Ge43. A promising figure of merit, ZT ∼0.45 at 750 K, has been derived for Ba8Zn7.4Ge19.8Si18.8, where pricey germanium is exchanged by reasonably cheap silicon.  相似文献

Effect of substitution of Cr and Mn in the Fe and Ga sites of GaFeO3 on the structural parameters and magnetic properties has been investigated by preparing GaFe1−xCrx(Mnx)O3 and Ga1−xCrx(Mnx)FeO3 starting with appropriate oxide precursors. It is shown that, starting with Cr or Mn substituted Ga2O3, one obtains Ga1−xCrx(Mnx)FeO3, while reaction of Cr or Mn substituted α-Fe2O3 with Ga2O3 yields GaFe1−xCrx(Mnx)O3. The structural parameters and magnetic properties vary significantly with the substitution site of Cr showing a large decrease in the unit cell parameters as well as the TC and other magnetic properties when the substitution is at the octahedral Fe (1, 2) site. Substitution of Cr at the octahedral Ga2 site results in marginal changes. Substitution of Mn in the Ga and Fe sites also show differences although the changes themselves are much smaller. First-principles calculations confirm such site-specificity and show how Cr substitution affects the properties differently when substituted at the Ga2 and Fe1 sites.  相似文献
