The crystal structures of three new intermetallic ternary compounds in the LnNiSb3 (Ln=Pr, Nd and Sm) family have been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. PrNiSb3, NdNiSb3 and SmNiSb3 all crystallize in an orthorhombic space group, Pbcm (No. 57), Z=12, with , , , and ; , , , and ; and , , , and , for Ln=Pr, Nd and Sm, respectively. These compounds consist of rare-earth atoms located above and below layers of nearly square, buckled Sb nets, along with layers of highly distorted edge- and face-sharing NiSb6 octahedra. Resistivity data indicate metallic behavior for all three compounds. Magnetization measurements show antiferromagnetic behavior with (PrNiSb3), 4.6 K (NdNiSb3), and 2.9 K (SmNiSb3). Effective moments of 3.62 μB, 3.90 μB and 0.80 μB are found for PrNiSb3, NdNiSb3 and SmNiSb3, respectively, and are consistent with Pr3+ (f 2), Nd3+ (f 3), and Sm3+ (f 4).  相似文献

A ferroelectric crystal (C3N2H5)5Sb2Br11 has been synthesized. The single crystal X-ray diffraction studies (at 300, 155, 138 and 121 K) show that it is built up of discrete corner-sharing bioctahedra and highly disordered imidazolium cations. The room temperature crystal structure has been determined as monoclinic, space group, P21/n with: , and and β=96.19°. The crystal undergoes three solid-solid phase transitions: ) discontinuous, continuous and discontinuous. The dielectric and pyroelectric measurements allow us to characterize the low temperature phases III and IV as ferroelectric with the Curie point at 145 K and the saturated spontaneous polarization value of the order of along the a-axis (135 K). The ferroelectric phase transition mechanism at 145 K is due to the dynamics of imidazolium cations.  相似文献

The disordered structures and low temperature dielectric relaxation properties of Bi1.667Mg0.70Nb1.52O7 (BMN) and Bi1.67Ni0.75Nb1.50O7 (BNN) misplaced-displacive cubic pyrochlores found in the Bi2O3-MIIO-Nb2O5 (M=Mg, Ni) systems are reported. As for other recently reported Bi-pyrochlores, the metal ion vacancies are found to be confined to the pyrochlore A site. The B2O6 octahedral sub-structure is found to be fully occupied and well-ordered. Considerable displacive disorder, however, is found associated with the O′A2 tetrahedral sub-structure in both cases. The A-site ions were displaced from Wyckoff position 16d (, , ) to 96 h (, , ) while the O′ oxygen was shifted from position 8b (, , ) to Wyckoff position 32e (, , ). The refined displacement magnitudes off the 16d and 8b sites for the A and O′ sites were 0.408 Å/0.423 Å and 0.350 Å/0.369 Å for BMN/BNN, respectively.  相似文献

The compound CsAgSb4S7 has been synthesized by the reaction of the elements in a Cs2S3 flux at 773 K. The compound crystallizes in a new structure type with eight formula units in space group C2/c of the monoclinic system in a cell at 153 K of dimensions , , , β=97.650(1)°, and . The structure contains two-dimensional layers separated by Cs atoms. Each layer is built from edge-sharing one-dimensional and chains. Each Ag atom is tetrahedrally coordinated to four S atoms. Each Sb3+ center is pyramidally coordinated to three S atoms to form an SbS3 group. CsAgSb4S7 is insulating with an optical band gap of 2.04 eV. Extended Hückel calculations indicate that the band gap in CsAgSb4S7 is dominated by the Sb 5s and S 3p states above and below the Fermi level.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the title compounds were solved using the single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique. At room temperature CsKSO4Te(OH)6 was found to crystallize in the monoclinic system with Pn space group and lattice parameters: ; ; ; β=106.53(2)°; ; Z=4 and . The structural refinement has led to a reliability factor of R1=0.0284 (wR2=0.064) for 7577 independent reflections. Rb1.25K0.75SO4Te(OH)6 material possesses a monoclinic structure with space group P21/a and cell parameters: ; ; ; β=106.860(10)°; ; Z=4 and . The residuals are R1=0.0297 and wR2=0.0776 for 3336 independent reflections. The main interest of these structures is the presence of two different and independent anionic groups (TeO66− and SO42−) in the same crystal.Complex impedance measurements (Z*=ZiZ) have been undertaken in the frequency and temperature ranges 20-106 Hz and 400-600 K, respectively. The dielectric relaxation is studied in the complex modulus formalism M*.  相似文献

The two double perovskite oxides Sr2AlSbO6 and Sr2CoSbO6 were prepared and their structures studied with the X-ray powder diffraction method. At room temperature the crystal structure of Sr2AlSbO6 is cubic , with . It was found that depending on the preparation conditions, the Al3+ and Sb5+ cations can be either entirely or partially ordered. In the case of the partially ordered Sr2AlSbO6 sample, the extension of cation ordering was estimated from the -dependent broadening of the diffraction peaks and the results were interpreted as evidence of the formation of anti-phase domains in the material. Low-temperature Raman spectroscopic measurements demonstrated that the cubic phase of Sr2AlSbO6 is stable down to 79 K.The room-temperature crystal structure of Sr2CoSbO6 is trigonal (space group with and . At 470 K, however, the material undergoes a continuous phase transition and its structure is converted to cubic (space group . The studied Sr2CoSbO6 sample was partially ordered, but unlike Sr2AlSbO6, no indication of the formation of anti-phase domains was observed.  相似文献

RbVSe2 has been synthesized at 773 K through the reaction of V and Se with a Rb2Se3 reactive flux. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group D2h24-Fddd with 16 formula units in a cell of dimensions , , and at . The structure possesses infinite one-dimensional chains of edge-sharing VSe4 tetrahedra separated from the Rb+ ions. These chains distort slightly to chains. The V-V distance within these chains is 2.8362(4) Å. First-principles total energy calculations indicate that a non-magnetic configuration for the V3+ cations is the most stable.  相似文献

Ferromagnetic-phase transition in spinel-type CuCr2Te4 has been clearly observed. CuCr2Te4 is a telluride-spinel with the lattice constant , which has been synthesized successfully. The heat capacity exhibits a sharp peak due to the ferromagnetic-phase transition with the Curie temperature . This value of TC corresponds exactly to that of the negative peak of dM/dT in low field of 1.0 Oe. The magnetic susceptibility shows the Curie-Weiss behavior between 380 and 650 K with the effective magnetic moment /Cr-ion and the Weiss constant . The low temperature magnetization indicates the spin-wave excitations, where the existence of first term of Bloch T3/2 law and the next T5/2 term are verified experimentally. This spin-wave excitation is detected up to approximately 250 K which is a fairly high temperature.  相似文献

A novel ternary borate oxide, lead bismuth boron tetraoxide, PbBiBO4, has been prepared by solid-state reaction at temperature below 800 °C. The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis showed that PbBiBO4 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with , , , β=91.48(1), Z=4. It represents a new structure type in which distorted BiO69− octahedra are connected to each other in corner- and edge-sharing manner to form two-dimensional layers that are bridged by B atoms of BO3 triangles giving rise to a three-dimensional framework, with channels parallel to the [0 1 0] direction accommodating the pyramidally coordinated Pb2+ cations.  相似文献

The two compounds RbInS2 and RbInSe2 have been synthesized at 773 K by means of the reactive flux method. These isostructural compounds crystallize in space group C2/c of the monoclinic system with 16 formula units in a cell at 153 K of dimensions , , , and β=100.244(1)° for RbInS2, and , , , and β=100.16(2)° for RbInSe2. The In atoms are four-coordinated. The structure consists of two-dimensional (Q=S, Se) layers perpendicular to [001] separated from the Rb+ cations. Adamantane-like In4Q10 units are connected by common corners to form the layers. Band structure calculations indicate that these compounds are direct band-gap semiconductors with the smallest band gap at the Γ point. The calculated band gaps are 2.8 eV for RbInS2 and 2.0 eV for RbInSe2, values that are consistent with the colors of the compounds.  相似文献

Crystal structures and magnetic properties of quaternary oxides Ba3MIr2O9 (M=Mg, Ca, Sc, Ti, Zn, Sr, Zr, Cd and In) were investigated. Rietveld analyses of their X-ray diffraction data indicate that they adopt the 6H-perovskite-type structure with space group P63/mmc or, in the case of M=Ca, Sr and Cd, a monoclinically distorted structure with space group C2/c. The Ir valence configurations are (M=Mg, Ca, Zn, Sr and Cd), (M=Sc and In) and (M=Ti and Zr). Magnetic susceptibility and specific heat measurements were carried out. In the , the Ir5+ ions have a non-magnetic ground state and the magnetic behavior for these compounds is explained by the Kotani's theory. For , the effective magnetic moment of these compounds is significantly small, although the Ir4+ ions have magnetic moment, which indicates the existence of the strong antiferromagnetic interaction between Ir4+ ions in the Ir4+2O9 face-shared bioctahedra. In the case of , a specific heat anomaly was found at about 10 K (M=Sc) and 1.6 K (M=In), which suggests the magnetic ordering of the magnetic moments of Ir4+ in the (Ir4+Ir5+)O9 bioctahedra.  相似文献

Single crystals of a new sodium manganese oxide, NaMn2O4, were synthesized for the first time using a high-temperature and high-pressure technique. The NaMn2O4 single crystal is black, has a needle shape, and crystallizes in the orthorhombic calcium ferrite-type structure, space group Pnam with , , , , and Z=4. The structure was determined from a single-crystal X-ray study and refined to the conventional values R=0.041 and wR=0.034 for 1190 observed reflections. The framework structure is built up from edge-sharing chains of MnO6 octahedra that condense to form one-dimensional tunnels in which the sodium atoms are located. The Mn-O bond distance and bond valence analyses revealed the manganese valence Mn3+/Mn4+ ordering in the two “double rutile” chains of NaMn2O4.  相似文献

A new heterometallic iodide, PbI4Cu2(PPh3)4, was synthesized by reactions of PbI2, CuI and triphenylphosphine (PPh3) in DMF solution. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses show that Pb(II) center adopts an unusual cis-divacant octahedral geometry. Crystal data: triclinic, space group , , , , α=106.623(4)°, β=103.478(6)°, γ=93.574(5)°, and Z=2. Density function theory (DFT) calculations and fragment orbital interaction analyses reveal the presence of a three-center four-electron (3c-4e) hypervalent bonding about lead; and the formation of the unusual cis-divacant [PbI4]2− octahedron is energetically favorable. The title yellow compound has an optical bandgap of 2.69 eV and shows remarkable red-infrared fluorescence emission at 732 nm with lifetime of 24 μs which is assigned as an iodine 5p-lead 6s to PPh3-lead 6p charge transfer (XM-LM-CT).  相似文献

The reactions of UO3 and TeO3 with KCl, RbCl, or CsCl at 800 °C for 5 d yield single crystals of A2[(UO2)3(TeO3)2O2] (A=K (1), Rb (2), and Cs (3)). These compounds are isostructural with one another, and their structures consist of two-dimensional sheets arranged in a stair-like topology separated by alkali metal cations. These sheets are comprised of zigzagging uranium(VI) oxide chains bridged by corner-sharing trigonal pyramidal TeO32− anions. The chains are composed of dimeric, edge-sharing, pentagonal bipyramidal UO7 moieties joined by edge-sharing tetragonal bipyramidal UO6 units. The lone-pair of electrons from the TeO3 groups are oriented in opposite directions with respect to one another on each side of the sheets rendering each individual sheet non-polar. The alkali metal cations form contacts with nearby tellurite oxygen atoms as well as with oxygen atoms from the uranyl moieties. Crystallographic data (193 K, MoKα, ): 1, triclinic, space group , , , , α=101.852(1)°, β=102.974(1)°, γ=100.081(1)°, , Z=2, R(F)=2.70% for 98 parameters and 1697 reflections with I>2σ(I); 2, triclinic, space group , , , , α=105.590(2)°, β=101.760(2)°, γ=99.456(2)°, , Z=2, R(F)=2.36% for 98 parameters and 1817 reflections with I>2σ(I); 3, triclinic, space group , , , , α=109.301(1)°, β=100.573(1)°, γ=99.504(1)°, , Z=2, R(F)=2.61% for 98 parameters and 1965 reflections with I>2σ(I).  相似文献

The crystal structure of Nb22O54 is reported for the first time, and the structure of orthorhombic Nb12O29 is reexamined, resolving previous ambiguities. Single crystal X-ray and electron diffraction were employed. These compounds were found to crystallize in the space groups P2/m (, , , β=102.029(3)°) and Cmcm (, , ), respectively and share a common structural unit, a 4×3 block of corner sharing NbO6 octahedra. Despite different constraints imposed by symmetry these blocks are very similar in both compounds. Within a block, it is found that the niobium atoms are not located in the centers of the oxygen octahedra, but rather are displaced inward toward the center of the block forming an apparent antiferroelectric state. Bond valence sums and bond lengths do not show the presence of charge ordering, suggesting that all 4d electrons are delocalized in these compounds at the temperature studied, T=200 K.  相似文献

Rare earth ions (Eu3+ and Dy3+)-doped Gd2(WO4)3 phosphor films were prepared by a Pechini sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and photoluminescence (PL) spectra as well as lifetimes were used to characterize the resulting powders and films. The results of XRD indicate that the films begin to crystallize at 600°C and the crystallinity increases with the elevation of annealing temperatures. The film is uniform and crack-free, mainly consists of closely packed fine particles with an average grain size of 80 nm. Owing to an energy transfer from WO42− groups, the rare earth ions show their characteristic emissions in crystalline Gd2(WO4)3 phosphor films, i.e., (J=0, 1, 2, 3; J′=0, 1, 2, 3, 4, not in all cases) transitions for Eu3+ and (J=13/2, 15/2) transitions for Dy3+, with the hypersensitive transitions (Eu3+) and (Dy3+) being the most prominent groups, respectively. Both the lifetimes and PL intensity of the Eu3+ () and Dy3+ () increase with increasing the annealing temperature from 500°C to 800°C, and the optimum doping concentrations for Eu3+ and Dy3+ are determined to be 30 and 6 at% of Gd3+ in Gd2(WO4)3 film host lattices, respectively.  相似文献

Two new ternary bismuthides, La3MgBi5 and LaLiBi2, have been prepared by solid-state reactions of the corresponding pure metals in welded niobium tubes at high temperature. Their structures have been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. La3MgBi5 crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P63/mcm (No.193) with cell parameters of , , , and Z=2. LaLiBi2 belongs to tetragonal space group P4/nmm (No.129) with cell parameters of , ,, and Z=2. The structure of La3MgBi5 is of the ‘‘anti’’ Hf5Sn3Cu type, and features 1D linear Bi anionic chains and face-sharing [MgBi6/2]7− octahedral chains. The structure of LaLiBi2 is isotypic with HfCuSi2, and is composed of 2D Bi square sheets and 2D LiBi layers with La3+ ions as spacers. Band calculations indicate that both compounds are metallic.  相似文献

Three new compounds, LaCuOTe, CeCuOTe, and NdCuOTe, have been synthesized from the respective rare-earth elements, CuO, and a KI flux at 1023 K. The compounds, which have the ZrSiCuAs structure type, are isostructural to LaCuOS, and crystallize in space group P4/nmm of the tetragonal system with two formula units in cells of dimensions at 153 K of , , for LaCuOTe; , , for CeCuOTe; and , , for NdCuOTe. The structure of LnCuOTe (Ln=La, Ce, Nd) is composed of alternating PbO-like [Ln2O2] and anti-PbO-like [Cu2Te2] layers stacked perpendicular to [0 0 1]. The experimental optical band gaps of LaCuOTe and NdCuOTe are 2.31 and 2.26 eV, respectively. At 298 K the electrical conductivity of LaCuOTe is 1.65 S/cm and the Hall mobility is +80.6 cm2 V−1 s−1. The positive values of the Seebeck and Hall coefficients indicate p-type electrical conduction. First-principles theoretical calculations were performed on LaCuOQ (Q=S, Se, Te). In LaCuOTe, Cu 3d and Te 5p orbitals dominate the states near the valence band maximum; the states near the conduction band minimum are composed of Cu 4s, Te 5p, and La 5d orbitals. The larger dispersion of Cu 3d orbitals and the presence of Te 5p orbitals near the valence band maximum are responsible for the larger hole mobility of LaCuOTe compared to LaCuOS and LaCuOSe.  相似文献
