A photon source with high-dimensional entanglement is able to bring increasing capacity of information in quantum communication.The dimensionality is determined by the chosen degree of freedom of the photons and is limited by the complexity of the physical systems.Here we propose a new type of high-dimensional entangled photon source,generated via path-indistinguishable scheme from a two-dimensional atomic cloud,which is prepared in a magneto-optical trap.To verify the photon source,we demonstrate experimentally the quantum state of the single photons heralded by its partner photon,with homodyne tomographic technology.  相似文献

We create independent, synchronized single-photon sources with built-in quantum memory based on two remote cold atomic ensembles. The synchronized single photons are used to demonstrate efficient generation of entanglement. The resulting entangled photon pairs violate a Bell's inequality by 5 standard deviations. Our synchronized single photons with their long coherence time of 25 ns and the efficient creation of entanglement serve as an ideal building block for scalable linear optical quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present two schemes to generate frequency-multiplexed entangled (FME) single photons by coherently mapping photonic entanglement into and out of a quantum memory based on Raman interactions. By splitting a single photon and performing subsequent state transfer, we separate the generation of entanglement and its frequency conversion, and find that the both progresses have the characteristic of inherent determinacy. Our theory can reproduce the prominent features of observed results including pulse shapes and the condition for deterministically generating the FME single photons. The schemes are suitable for the entangled photon pairs with a wider frequency range, and could be immune to the photon loss originating from cavity-mode damping, spontaneous emission, and the dephasing due to atomic thermal motion. The sources might have significant applications in wavelength-division-multiplexing quantum key distribution.  相似文献

系统分析了如何通过电光调制的方式来消除量子点纠缠光源中不同偏振模式光子之间的频率差异,并实际设计了一套泡克耳斯盒电光调制方案,通过给其加载约8 V/ns的上升沿或下降沿电压,实现了18 MHz带宽的光子频率的移动.表明只需增大调制电压斜率,便可以有效实现GHz以上的频率移动,为未来实现确定性完美的量子点纠缠光源提供了切实可行的依据.  相似文献

The coherent control of single-photon emitters as, e.g., single ions or atoms, is a crucial element for mapping quantum information between light and matter. The possibility of generating entanglement between a photon and the emitter system provides an interface between matter-based quantum memories and photonic quantum communication channels, which is the essential resource for quantum repeaters and other future quantum information applications. To generate entangled atom-photon states, in our experiment, we store a single 87Rb atom in an optical dipole trap. The single-atom/single-photon character is confirmed by the observation of photon antibunching in the detected fluorescence light. The spectral properties of single photons emitted by the atom allowed us to determine the mean kinetic energy of the atom corresponding to 105 μK. We describe a single-atom state analysis method which allowed us to characterize the entanglement between the atom and a single photon emitted in the spontaneous decay. We obtain an entanglement fidelity of 89% that clearly shows the high degree of entanglement in our system and potential for further applications in quantum communication.  相似文献

This paper proposes a circular threshold quantum secret sharing (TQSS) scheme with polarized single photons. A polarized single photon sequence runs circularly among any t or more of n parties and any t or more of n parties can reconstruct the secret key when they collaborate. It shows that entanglement is not necessary for quantum secret sharing. Moreover, the theoretic efficiency is improved to approach 100% as the single photons carrying the secret key are deterministically forwarded among any t or more of n parties, and each photon can carry one bit of information without quantum storage. This paper studies the quantum repeater in quantum information communication. We propose to introduce the photon buffer mechanism for storing photons, which uses fibre delay loops as photon memories and a programmable 1×N switcher for distributing photon delay time. Meanwhile, we also consider entanglement purification and entanglement swapping restoration at an entanglement purification or entanglement swapping failure and introduce a protection link mechanism that allows the photonic quantum repeater of a broken connection to initiate a connection restoration process.  相似文献

提出了一种基于纠缠态的量子中继通信系统,该系统应用纠缠为基本资源.纠缠为量子隐形传态和绝对安全的量子通信提供了保证.量子中继器用来延长高纠缠度的纠缠光子对的纠缠距离,利用纠缠交换和纠缠纯化在系统的发信者与受信者之间建立光子对的纠缠.应用量子隐形传态的原理传输量子信息.系统分析表明,量子通信系统的吞吐率随着通信双方成功建立纠缠的概率增大而显著增加,量子信号的传输距离取决于量子中继节点的级数.  相似文献

We demonstrate a Fock-state filter which is capable of preferentially blocking single photons over photon pairs. The large conditional nonlinearities are based on higher-order quantum interference, using linear optics, an ancilla photon, and measurement. We demonstrate that the filter acts coherently by using it to convert unentangled photon pairs to a path-entangled state. We quantify the degree of entanglement by transforming the path information to polarization information; applying quantum state tomography we measure a tangle of T=(20+/-9)%.  相似文献

It is well known that the waveguide beam splitter can be used as a source for the quantum entanglement of photons. The analysis of such quantum entanglement is a difficult problem even for monochromatic photons, since the system under study is multiparametric. This paper will show that quantum entanglement can be represented in a simple form not only for monochromatic photons but also for non-monochromatic ones. It will be shown that quantum entanglement for non-monochromatic photons can be very different from monochromatic photons, which can be used to create large quantum entanglement.  相似文献

We investigate the possibility of generated heralding single photons via spontaneous parametric down conversion using periodically poled lithium niobate crystals with different phase-matching. We use the Schmidt decomposition to calculate the degree of entanglement of photon pairs We simulated the spectral purity, bandwidth, and the joint spectral intensity pictures of degenerate and non-degenerate photon pairs. At last, we obtain an ideal condition of the counter-propagating photons, which can be applied in the quantum communication.  相似文献

宏观-微观纠缠最早起源于“薛定谔的猫”思想实验, 是指在宏观体系与微观体系之间建立量子纠缠. 实现宏观-微观纠缠可以利用多种物理体系来完成, 本文重点介绍了在光学体系中制备和检验宏观-微观纠缠的发展过程. 从最初的受激辐射单光子量子克隆到光学参量放大, 再到相空间的位移操作, 实验上制备宏观-微观纠缠的方法取得了长足的进步. 利用非线性光学参量放大过程制备的宏观-微观纠缠的光子数可以达到104量级, 人眼已经可以观察到, 因此使用人眼作为探测器来检验宏观-微观纠缠的实验开始出现. 但随后人们意识到, 粗精度的光子数探测器, 例如人眼, 无法严格判定宏观-微观纠缠的存在. 为了解决这个难题, 提出了一种巧妙的方法, 即在制备宏-微观纠缠后, 利用局域操作过程将宏观态再变为微观态, 通过判定微观纠缠存在的方法来判定宏微观纠缠的存在. 之后相空间的位移操作方法将宏观态的粒子数提高到108, 并且实现了纠缠的严格检验. 利用光机械实现宏观-微观纠缠的方案也被提出. 由于量子密钥分配中纠缠是必要条件, 而宏观-微观纠缠态光子数较多这一优势可能会对量子密钥分配的传输距离有所提高. 本文介绍了利用相位纠缠的相干态来进行量子秘钥分配的方案, 探讨了利用宏观-微观纠缠实现量子密钥分配的可能性.  相似文献

本文利用光栅单色仪实现了对超短脉冲抽运周期极化磷酸氧钛钾晶体产生的通信波长频率一致纠缠光子源的频谱特性分析.测量到双光子的联合频谱呈正关联分布,为频率一致纠缠光源.信号光、闲置光中心波长分别为1574.4 nm和1574.9 nm,频谱宽度分别为35.3 nm和37.6 nm,双光子符合包络宽度约为3 nm.根据单光子频谱宽度与双光子符合包络宽度的比值可以得到双光子的频率纠缠参量R约为12,表征了信号光子与闲置光子之间具有较高的频率纠缠度.  相似文献

In quantum key distribution(QKD), the times of arrival of single photons are important for the keys extraction and time synchronization. The time-of-arrival(TOA) accuracy can affect the quantum bit error rate(QBER) and the final key rate. To achieve a higher accuracy and a better QKD performance, different from designing more complicated hardware circuits, we present a scheme that uses the mean TOA of M frequency-entangled photons to replace the TOA of a single photon. Moreover, to address the problem that the entanglement property is usually sensitive to the photon loss in practice,we further propose two schemes, which adopt partially entangled photons and grouping-entangled photons, respectively.In addition, we compare the effects of these three alternative schemes on the QKD performance and discuss the selection strategy for the optimal scheme in detail. The simulation results show that the proposed schemes can improve the QKD performance compared to the conventional single-photon scheme obviously, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.  相似文献

Quantum scattering of photons inside a one-dimensional waveguide caused by a number of closely located resonant two-level atoms is studied using the theory of integrable quantum systems. The multi-particle wave function of scattered photons is represented as a sum of terms of different degrees of “entanglement.” For two-photon scattering we discuss explicitly differences in photon correlations for the single two-level atom case and the case of several atoms.  相似文献

基于单光子序列的顺序重排,提出了一种可应用于一些特殊的场景的多方控制的量子安全直接通信协议.协议中,接收方只有在得到所有控制方的同意之后,才能恢复出发送方的秘密消息.协议的安全性由量子不可克隆定理和单光子序列的秘密传输顺序所保证.此外,除了用于窃听检测的部分光子,所有的光子都用于编码秘密消息,而且协议的实现不需要使用纠缠态,该协议具有效率高和实现简单等特点. 关键词: 量子密码 量子安全直接通信 顺序重排 单光子  相似文献

We analyze the distribution of secure keys using quantum cryptography based on the continuous variable degree of freedom of entangled photon pairs. We derive the information capacity of a scheme based on the spatial entanglement of photons from a realistic source, and show that the standard measures of security known for quadrature-based continuous variable quantum cryptography (CV-QKD) are inadequate. A specific simple eavesdropping attack is analyzed to illuminate how secret information may be distilled well beyond the bounds of the usual CV-QKD measures.  相似文献

独立光子源的干涉是实现复杂量子体系应用(比如多光子纠缠态产生和量子隐形传态等)的核心技术.利用100 GHz密集波分复用技术,实现了1.55μm全光纤多通道独立纠缠光子源的Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉,在不去除暗符合(随机符合计数)的情况下,可见度为53.2%±8.4%,去除暗符合可见度可达到82.9%±5.3%.给出了关于色散位移光纤中基于自发四波混频过程产生的单光子光谱纯度严格的理论描述,模拟了抽运脉冲宽度和滤波器带宽对单光子光谱纯度的影响,并给出了理论上的最佳条件(最佳的抽运脉冲宽度为8 ps,高斯滤波器带宽为40 GHz及以下).在测量Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉之前,先测量了液氮冷却状态下的色散位移光纤关联光子源的符合和随机符合比率,在抽运功率为23μW的情况下,最大比率可以达到131.Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉在高精度光学测量、测量装置无关的量子密钥分配等应用中扮演着极为重要的角色.  相似文献
