The nonlinear response of a three degree of freedom vibratory system with double pendulum in the neighbourhood internal and external resonances is investigated. The equations of motion have bean solved numerically. In this type system one mode of vibration may excite or damp another one, and for except different kinds of periodic vibration there may also appear chaotic vibration. To prove the character of this vibration and to realise the analysis of transitions from periodic regular motion to quasi-periodic and chaotic, the following have been constructed: bifurcation diagrams and time histories, phase plane portraits, power spectral densities, Poincaré maps and exponents of Lyapunov. These bifurcation diagrams show many sudden qualitative changes, that is, many bifurcations in the chaotic attractor as well as in the periodic orbits. 相似文献

A nonlinear control force is presented to stabilize the under-actuated inverted pendulum mounted on a cart. The control strategy is based on partial feedback linearization, in a first stage, to linearize only the actuated coordinate of the inverted pendulum, and then, a suitable Lyapunov function is formed to obtain a stabilizing feedback controller. In this paper we develop numerical algorithms for thecontinuation of degenerate homoclinic orbits to non-hyperbolicequilibria in planar systems. The first situation corresponds to asaddle-node equilibrium (a zero eigenvalue) and the second one is theso-called cuspidal loop (double-zero eigenvalue). We study the convergence of homoclinic orbits and heteroclinic orbits in the dynamical system governing traveling wave solutions of a perturbed Boussinesq systems modeling two-directional propagation of water waves. Nonanalytic weak solutions are found to be limits of these orbits, including compactons, peakons, and rampons, as well as infinitely many mesaons occurring at the same fixed point in the dynamical system. Singularities of solitary wave solutions in the system are also studied to understand the important impact of both linear and nonlinear dispersion terms on the regularity of these solutions. 相似文献

We study the phenomena of resonance capture in a three degree-of-freedom dynamical system modeling the dynamics of an unbalanced rotor, subject to a small constant torque, supported by orthogonal, linearly elastic supports, which is constrained to move in the plane. In the physical system the resonance exists between translational motions of the frame and the angular velocity of the unbalanced rotor. These equations, valid in the neighborhood of the resonance, possess a small parameter which is related to the imbalance. In the limit 0, the unperturbed system possesses a homoclinic orbit which separates bounded periodic motion corresponding to resonant solutions from unbounded motion which corresponds to solutions passing through the resonance. Using a generalized Melnikov integral, we characterize the splitting distance between the invariant manifolds which govern capture and escape from resonance for 0. It is shown that as certain slowly varying parameters evolve, the separation distance alternates sign, indicating that both capture into, and escape from resonance occur. We find that although a measurable set of initial conditions enter into a sustained resonance, as the system further evolves the orientation of the manifolds reverses and many of these captured solutions will subsequently escape. 相似文献
