In both problems, bounds forf (0) and qualitative behavior of the solutions are shown.

Assumendo=–1,>0, arbitrario si dimostra che esiste almeno una soluzione che soddisfa 0<f<1 nell'intervallo (0, ). Se in aggiunta si ipotizzaf>0 in (0, ), oppure 0<=1, l'unicità délia soluzione è assicurata.Successivamente si considéra il problema di valori al contorno con=1,<0, arbitrario. In questo caso esiste un'intera classe di soluzioni che soddisfano –1<f<0 in un intorno dell'origine e tali chef>1, in generale.Di detti problemi viene studiato il comportamento délle soluzioni e vengono determinate dalle maggiorazioni e minorazioni del valoref(0).

We present two convergence theorems for Hamilton-Jacobi equations and we apply them to the convergence of approximations and perturbations of optimal control problems and of two-players zero-sum differential games. We investigate operator functionsT(x) inBanach spaces, depending differentiably (meaning of classC orC ) on a parameterx and enjoying a certain regularity property. Throughout this paper, the underlying projective space is 3-dimensional and Pappian. A spreadL admits aregulization , if is a collection of reguli contained inL and if each element ofL, except at most two lines, is contained either in exactly one regulus of or in all reguli of . Replacement of each regulus of by its complementary regulus (exceptional lines remain unchanged) produces thecomplementry congruence L c of L with respect to . IfL c is an elliptic linear congruence of lines, then we call anelliptic regulization. Applying a method due to Thas and Walker we construct topological spreads of PG(3,) which admit one elliptic and no further regulization. For each of these spreads we determine the group of automorphic collineations. Among others we obtain also spreads which are the complete intersection of a general linear complex of lines and of a cubic complex of lines.In conclusion, I would like to thank H. The edgee is said to bek-removable ifG is also cyclicallyk-edge-connected. Let us denote by S k (G) the graph induced by thek-removable edges and by N k (G) the graph induced by the non 3-removable edges ofG. In a previous paper [7], we have proved that N 3(G) is empty if and only ifG is cyclically 4-edge connected and that if N 3(G) is not empty then it is a forest containing at least three trees. Andersen, Fleischner and Jackson [1] and, independently, McCuaig [11] studied N 4(G). Here, we study the structure of N k (G) fork 5 and we give some constructions of graphs such thatN k (G) = E(G). We note that the main result of this paper (Theorem 5) has been announced independently by McCuaig [11].

Désignons par S k (G) le graphe induit par les arêtesk-suppressibles et par N k (G) celui induit par les arêtes nonk-suppressibles. Dans un précédent article [7], nous avons montré que N 3(G) est vide si et seulement siG est cycliquement 4-arête-connexe et que si N 3(G) n'est pas vide alors c'est une forêt possédant au moins trois arbres. Andersen, Fleischner and Jackson [1] et, indépendemment, McCuaig [11] ont étudié N 4(G). Ici, nous étudions la structure de N k (G) pourk 5 et nous donnons des constructions de graphes pour lesquelsN k (G) = E(G). Summary A characterization of compact sets in Lp (0, T; B) is given, where 1P and B is a Banach space. For the existence of solutions in nonlinear boundary value problems by the compactness method, the point is to obtain compactness in a space Lp (0,T; B) from estimates with values in some spaces X, Y or B where XBY with compact imbedding XB. Using the present characterization for this kind of situations, sufficient conditions for compactness are given with optimal parameters. As an example, it is proved that if {fn} is bounded in Lq(0,T; B) and in L loc 1 (0, T; X) and if {fn/t} is bounded in L loc 1 (0, T; Y) then {fn} is relatively compact in Lp(0,T; B), p相似文献

A subsetJ of edges of a connected undirected graphG=(V, E) is called ajoin if |CJ||C|/2 for every circuitC ofG. Answering a question of P. Solé and Th. Zaslavsky, we derive a min-max formula for the maximum cardinality of a joint ofG. Namely, =(+|V|–1)/2 where denotes the minimum number of edges whose contraction leaves a factor-critical graph.To study these parameters we introduce a new decomposition ofG, interesting for its own sake, whose building blocks are factor-critical graphs and matching-covered bipartite graphs. We prove that the length of such a decomposition is always and show how an optimal join can be constructed as the union of perfect matchings in the building blocks. The proof relies on the Gallai-Edmonds structure theorem and gives rise to a polynomial time algorithm to construct the optima in question.  相似文献

The essence of this article lies in a demonstration of the fact that for some random search methods (r.s.m.) of global optimization, the number of the objective function evaluations required to reach a given accuracy may have very slow (logarithmic) growth to infinity as the accuracy tends to zero. Several inequalities of this kind are derived for some typical Markovian monotone r.s.m. in metric spaces including thed-dimensional Euclidean space d and its compact subsets. In the compact case, one of the main results may be briefly outlined as a constructive theorem of existence: if is a first moment of approaching a good subset of-neighbourhood ofx 0=arg maxf by some random search sequence (r.s.s.), then we may choose parameters of this r.s.s. in such a way that E c(f) In2 .
