研究了向列相液晶缺陷TiO2和SiO2交替的光学多层膜一维光子晶体透射谱偏振敏感特性。外电压下透射光谱测试和模拟结果显示,对于平行取向的向列相液晶,当自然光垂直入射时,禁带中两处出现e(TE模式)光和o光(TM模式)透射峰,具有偏振敏感性。随着电压增大,e光透射峰蓝移与o光透射峰合二为一,光谱可调谐范围分别为31和34nm;而对于取向混乱的向列相液晶,禁带中两处出现独立的透射峰,无偏振敏感性。随着电压增大峰位也蓝移,光谱可调谐范围分别为64和15nm。通过混乱取向液晶分子,可以使o光和e光有效折射率值相等,获得偏振不敏感特性。  相似文献

We established a general propagating model to investigate the spin Hall effect of light in one-dimensional photonic crystal. A polarized (spin dependent) Gaussian beam which was incident obliquely through one-dimensional photonic crystal was demonstrated. Having decomposed a polarized Gaussian beam into different plane wave components charactering individual wave vectors, we revealed the transmission coefficient and reflection coefficient of each plane wave which propagates through the one-dimensional photonic crystal. It enabled us to obtain exact solution to the electric field of transmitted and reflected beams, and the analytical formula of light intensity, accordingly. A method based upon the partial differentials with the intensity distribution of the transmitted and reflected Gaussian beams was presented to determine the transverse and longitude shifts explicitly. Spin dependent shifts in one-dimensional photonic crystal provide alternative evidence for the spin Hall effect of light.  相似文献

Based on colloidal crystals of various dimensionality, hybrid metal-dielectric plasmonic-photonic heterocrystals have been prepared. It has been shown that the spectra of optical transmission of heterocrystals are mostly controlled by the sum of contributions of composing plasmonic and photonic crystals. At the same time, there are a number of phenomena caused by the mutual effect of heterostructure components, which lead to a deviation of observed optical properties from the linear superposition of responses of these crystals. In particular, it has been found that the anomalous transmission controlled by the plasmonic crystal decreases with increasing the dimensionality of the photonic crystal attached to it. At the same time, light reflection on a metallized surface changes light diffraction in photonic crystals and leads to Fabry-Perot oscillation amplification. It has been assumed that an intermediate layer is formed, in which Bloch modes of the photonic crystal and surface plasmon-polaritons of the plasmonic crystal are hybridized.  相似文献

用传输矩阵法研究一维光子晶体G(AB)mC(AB)mH的能带特性及电场分布,结果发现:随着m的增大,在830—883nm波长范围内,光子晶体G(AB)mC(AB)mH禁带中的导带透射率逐渐趋于零,即光被禁止通过,实现全反射镜功能,且随着入射角的增大,光子晶体的禁带逐渐向短波方向移动。随着介质层G、H的折射率增大,光子晶体在833.6—879.1nm波长范围内出现大的禁带,亦实现全反射镜功能。光子晶体G(AB)5C(AB)5H内部存在很强的局域电场,即在光子晶体内传输的光,被强烈局域在禁带范围内,并在缺陷层C处达到极大值,而且随着m的增大,局域强度增强。这些光学传输特性,为研究、设计新型光学器件全反射镜、滤波器等提供指导。  相似文献

A one-dimensional ZrO2/SiO2 photonic crystal with a 4-n -pentyl-4' -cyanobiphenyl (5CB) nematic defect layer was used to investigate the transmission spectra of light polarized parallel and perpendicular to the liquid-crystal director at different angles of incidence. The spectra of the photonic crystal were shown to split into four polarized components Tij at oblique incidence. When the incident angle increased, the bandgap edges and the defect modes shifted towards short wavelengths, while the amplitudes of the defect modes increased for the transverse magnetic polarization and decreased for the transverse electric polarization. The observed discrepancy between the defect mode amplitudes in the center and near the edges of the photonic bandgap was found to be related to the radiation losses inside the defect layer of a non-ideal photonic crystal. The simulated transmission spectra obtained using recurrence relations and taking into account the decay of defect modes are in good agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

A two-dimensional photonic crystal heterostructure, which consists of two photonic crystals of a square lattice of circular columns with reverse dielectric configurations, is proposed. Photonic band gap properties are calculated using a plane-wave method and the transmission spectra are obtained. After optimization, the relative width of the complete band gap reached 13.8% based on the simple unit-cell shape and crystal lattice. The photonic crystal heterostructure opens up new ways of engineering photonic band gap materials and designing photonic crystal devices.  相似文献

The reflection and transmission spectra of a finite thickness 2D photonic crystal slab (PCS) based on macroporous silicon are investigated. Periodic photonic crystal region is separated from air by homogeneous silicon interfacial layers. These interfacial layers at the silicon/air boundary being defects of the photonic crystal lattice, define the properties of surface Tamm states in the photonic stop‐bands (PSBs). It is demonstrated experimentally and theoretically that the reflection spectra of a structure with different thicknesses of the interfacial layers on both sides of the PCS depend on the illuminated side. At the same time, the transmission spectra are identical for both light directions in agreement with the reciprocity principle. Analysis shows that the dependence of the reflection spectrum on the side of light entrance is due to scattering losses in the real structure. (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We investigated the optical properties of a circular photonic crystal (CPC) for which the distance between lattices was systematically distributed. The transmission spectra of CPC composed of alumina cylinders were examined in the frequency region from 0 to 20 GHz. We show that photonic gaps are obtained not only in CPCs but also in phase-shifted CPCs. The isotropic photonic gaps are evidenced by changes in the incident angle of a millimeter wave.  相似文献

Unidirectional light propagation phenomena are observed in the photonic crystal heterostructures based on anodic alumina membrane when the incident light illuminated from forward and backward directions. Transmittance / reflectance spectra measurements and theoretical calculations show that the origin of this kind of unbalanced reflection is ascribed to the energy loss induced by Rayleigh scattering. Importantly, unidirectional light propagation can be modulated over the whole visible light region by adjusting the combination of different photonic bandgap as well as the view angle. The as‐prepared heterostructures may provide potential applications in direction‐dependent photonic devices.  相似文献

将二维三角晶格光子晶体波导和微腔结构结合,优化设计了一种二维三角晶格光子晶体共振耦合腔波导,运用时域有限差分法(FDTD)模拟共振耦合腔波导TE偏振光的透射谱,通过透射谱得到传输光的透射率和群速度。结果表明,合适参数的二维三角晶格共振耦合腔波导在波长1.551μm处的群速度为c/130、透射率为20.1%,在波长1.502μm处的群速度为c/50、透射率为29.2%。运用平面波展开法(PWE)计算的该波导的能带结构对慢光特性进行了分析。这种慢光特性的光子晶体波导将在光存储、光延迟及光子集成等方面有潜在的应用价值。  相似文献

The spatial distribution of the intensity of light reflected from the surface of a globular photonic crystal prepared on the basis of artificial opal was studied. Using a CCD array as a selective radiation receiver and a special computer program, reflection spectra were measured for photonic crystal regions with different colors, referred to as color domains. An analysis of the obtained spectra allows estimation of the homogeneity of the irradiated surface of the photonic crystal, relative areas of color domains, differences in crystal structures of individual color domains, and crystal structure defects.  相似文献

Colloidal photonic crystal heterostructures, composed of two opaline photonic crystal films of silica spheres with different diameters, are fabricated by a two-step spin-coating method. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV-vis spectrophotometer are used to characterize the heterostructures. The SEM images show good ordering of the two-layer colloidal crystals constituting the heterostructures. The transmission spectra measured from the (111) plane in the heterostructure show that the composite colloidal photonic crystals have double photonic stop bands. Furthermore, when the sizes of the silica spheres used for fabricating the composite photonic crystal are slightly different, the transmission spectrum shows that the composite photonic crystals have more extended bandgap than that of the individual photonic crystals due to partial overlapping of its two photonic stop bands.  相似文献

We report experimental results for the band structure of 2-dimensional triangular photonic crystals of air holes in an epitaxial group III–nitride waveguide film. Surface coupling techniques enable the observation of sharp resonance dips in the transmission spectra due to a resonance phenomenon between the incident light and Bloch modes of the photonic crystal. The position of the dips has been measured as a function of angle of incidence and the photonic band structure has been successfully constructed by the measurement. A bent photonic crystal waveguide was fabricated by use of a lattice pattern of a circular photonic crystal that allowed high transmission for a broad band of wavelengths with a small radius of curvature at a bend. The waveguide was fabricated by use of alumina rods with a diameter of 3 mm. Windows of high transmission as a result of waveguiding were observed near 9 and 15 GHz. By measurement of the relative wave intensity [E]2 along the line defects, the propagation losses in the straight and the bent sections were estimated at 9.3 GHz to be 0.04 and 0.03 dB/mm, respectively.  相似文献

One-dimensional porous silicon (PSi) photonic quantum-well structures have been electrochemically fabricated and spectroscopically characterized. The photonic well in the structure is a photonic crystal (PC) consisting of alternately stacked high- and low-refractive-index PSi layers. Discrete states are observed in both reflectance and transmission spectra. It is found that the number of confined states appearing in the photonic bandgap of the photonic barrier depends on the number of periods adopted in the well PC. Thus, increased confined photonic states can be created simply by increasing the number of periods of the well PC in the structures. 采用光学传输矩阵方法,研究了外磁场作用下一维光子晶体的光传输特性.在外磁场作用下,介质介电函数在回旋频率ω.附近受到强烈的调制,使组分材料的色散关系发生明显改变,导致光子晶体的能带发生变化,透射谱出现复杂结构.在光子带隙中出现窄通带,窄带中的光是局域的.这表明,在不改变光子晶体组分材料的条件下,可以通过改变外磁场的大小,调制光子晶体的能带及其光传输性质.  相似文献

制备了乙醇 二氧化硅三维胶质光子晶体,其晶格常数随着晶体高度的变化而变化.用皮秒 脉冲激光在不同高度激发光子晶体中乙醇产生Raman信号,得到了两个结果:1)即使Raman 信号的中心频率与光子晶体的带隙中心频率一致,在其禁带方向上测得的强度也没有被抑制 到与带隙深度同样的量级;2)尽管单纯的具有Raman信号频率的入射光的透过率随着高度的 变化而剧烈变化,但在光子晶体中产生的Raman信号强度却几乎不随高度的变化而变化,即 光子晶体的赝带隙几乎没有影响在禁带方向上测得的Raman信号强度.基于“光子晶体 关键词: 光子晶体 Raman散射 赝带隙 内部光源  相似文献

用时域有限差分法研究了光子晶体量子阱中的量子化能态.研究发现,开腔与闭腔光量子阱结构共振透射峰的数目相同,位置几乎不变,但闭腔光量子阱出射光强更强,透射率更大,频率选择性更好,品质因子Q值更高.同时计算了开腔和闭腔光量子阱光场分布,结果表明,开腔光量子阱为行波阱,闭腔光量子阱为驻波阱,充分证实了闭腔光量子阱更能束缚光场的设想,对其作用机理进行了探讨.  相似文献

在考虑介质色散的基础上,研究了介质层厚度对光子晶体带隙结构的影响.利用传输矩阵法,计算了以LiF和Si两种材料组成的一维光子晶体带隙结构.结果表明,介质层厚度的增加会引起禁带的红移,厚度减小会引起蓝移.分析了含空气缺陷层、金属缺陷层的光子晶体结构,发现空气缺陷层对带隙结构的高反射区域变化不大,而在低反射区域,反射系数为零的波带之间出现了两边反射系数增加,中间反射系数减小的情况.在金属缺陷层的带隙结构中,金属对整个波长范围光的吸收作用不同,金属对低反射区1.6 μm、1.85 μm处透射率较大的透射光吸收作用明显,而在1.28~1.38 μm处透射率波长区间,几乎无吸收.  相似文献

The transmission spectra of polarized light waves in a photonic crystal/liquid crystal (PC/LC) cell placed between crossed polarizers and controlled by an electric or magnetic field have been studied experimentally and theoretically. Electro- and magneto-optical switching based on the interference of polarized defect modes has been demonstrated. The transmission spectra of the PC/LC cell have been calculated as a function of the voltage applied to the LC layer and the magnetic field strength. The results of the calculations agree well with the experimental data.  相似文献
