In this paper, the H observer-based control for a class of uncertain neutral time-delay systems is considered. The linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization approach is used to design the H robust control with disturbance attenuation. Two classes of observer-based controls are proposed and their H-norm bounds are given. The control and observer gains are given from the LMI feasible solutions. A numerical example is given to illustrate the results. The research reported here was supported by the National Science Council of Taiwan under Grant NSC 93-2213-E-214-020.  相似文献

Novikov superalgebras are related to quadratic conformal superalgebras which correspond to the Hamiltonian pairs and play a fundamental role in completely integrable systems. In this note we show that the Novikov superalgebras with A 0 = A 1 A 1 and dim A 1 = 2 are of type N and give a class of Novikov superalgebras of type S with A 0 = A 1 A 1.  相似文献

In this paper, the robust H control problem of output dynamic observer-based control for a class of uncertain neutral systems is considered. The linear matrix inequality optimization approach is used to design the new H output dynamic controls. Three classes of H observer-based controls are proposed. The minimal H -norm bound and the maximal perturbed bound are given. Based on the result of this paper, the constraint of matrix equality is not necessary for designing the H observer-based controls. A numerical example is given to stress the usefulness of the proposed results. Communicated by C. T. We find the exact small ball asymptotics under weighted L 2-norm for a wide class of Gaussian processes which generate boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations. Sharp constants in the asymptotics are derived for a number of processes connected with special functions. Bibliography: 23 titles.  相似文献

We study the homotopy type of closed connected orientable topological 4–manifolds M with Λ–free second homotopy group, where Λ is the integral group ring of π1(M). This is related with problem N.4.53 of [23], and extends some results proved for the class of closed 4–manifolds with free fundamental group [10][11]. Other applications on special classes of closed topological manifolds complete the paper. We consider two families of equivalence classes in the Weyl groups of type B n which are suggested by the study of left cells in unequal parameter Iwahori-Hecke algebras. Both families are indexed by a non-negative integer r. It has been shown that the first family coincides with left cells corresponding to the equal parameter Iwahori-Hecke algebra when r=0; the equivalence classes in the second family agree with left cells corresponding to a special class of choices of unequal parameters when r is sufficiently large. Our main result shows that the two families of equivalence classes coincide, suggesting the structure of left cells for remaining choices of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra parameters.   相似文献

We consider a system of first-order ordinary linear differential equations with coefficients depending on an arbitrary parameter λ. For large λ, if the coefficients are smooth with respect to x, then there are known classical exponentially asymptotic (with respect to λ) formulas for the solution of the system. We generalize such formulas to the case in which the coefficients belong to the class L q , q > 1. We use a new method for the reduction of problems to an integral system of special form.  相似文献

Characterizations of some properties of generalized R 0 and R 1 topological spaces by using closure operator defined on a generalized topological space will be given. It is also shown that many results done in this area in some previous papers can be considered as special cases of our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we study some packings in a cube, namely, how to pack n points in a cube so as to maximize the minimal distance. The distance is induced by the L1-norm which is analogous to the Hamming distance in coding theory. Two constructions with reasonable parameters are obtained, by using some results from a function field including divisor class group, narrow ray class group, and so on. We also present some asymptotic results of the two packings.  相似文献

We show that a one-to-one bounded linear operator T from a separable Banach space E to a Banach space X is a G δ-embedding if and only if every T-null tree in S E has a branch which is a boundedly complete basic sequence. We then consider the notions of regulators and skipped blocking decompositions of Banach spaces and show, in a fairly general set up, that the existence of a regulator is equivalent to that of special skipped blocking decomposition. As applications, the following results are obtained. (a) A separable Banach space E has separable dual if and only if every w*-null tree in S E * has a branch which is a boundedly complete basic sequence. (b) A Banach space E with separable dual has the point of continuity property if and only if every w-null tree in S E has a branch which is a boundedly complete basic sequence. We also give examples to show that the tree hypothesis in both the cases above cannot be replaced in general with the assumption that every normalized w*-null (w-null in (b)) sequence has a subsequence which is a boundedly complete basic sequence. We prove that (i) rank(K2(E)) 1 for all elliptic curves E defined over Q with a rational torsion point of exact order N 4; (ii) rank(K2(E)) 1 for all but at most one R-isomorphism class of elliptic curves E defined over Q with a rational torsion point of exact order 3. We give some sufficient conditions for rank(K2(EZ)) 1.  相似文献

We introduce a new class of graphs which we call P 3-dominated graphs. This class properly contains all quasi-claw-free graphs, and hence all claw-free graphs. Let G be a 2-connected P 3-dominated graph. We prove that G is hamiltonian if α(G 2) ≤ κ(G), with two exceptions: K 2,3 and K 1,1,3. We also prove that G is hamiltonian, if G is 3-connected and |V(G)| ≤ 5δ(G) − 5. These results extend known results on (quasi-)claw-free graphs. In this paper we study the L p -discrepancy of digitally shifted Hammersley point sets. While it is known that the (unshifted) Hammersley point set (which is also known as Roth net) with N points has L p -discrepancy (p an integer) of order (log N)/N, we show that there always exists a shift such that the digitally shifted Hammersley point set has L p -discrepancy (p an even integer) of order which is best possible by a result of W. Schmidt. Further we concentrate on the case p = 2. We give very tight lower and upper bounds for the L 2-discrepancy of digitally shifted Hammersley point sets which show that the value of the L 2-discrepancy of such a point set mostly depends on the number of zero coordinates of the shift and not so much on the position of these. Given 1≤ p,q < ∞, let BLpLq be the class of all Banach lattices X such that X is isometrically lattice isomorphic to a band in some Lp(Lq)-Banach lattice. We show that the range of a positive contractive projection on any BLpLq-Banach lattice is itself in BLpLq. It is a consequence of this theorem and previous results that BLpLq is first-order axiomatizable in the language of Banach lattices. By studying the pavings of arbitrary BLpLq-Banach lattices by finite dimensional sublattices that are themselves in this class, we give an explicit set of axioms for BLpLq. We also consider the class of all sublattices of Lp(Lq)-Banach lattices; for this class (when p/q is not an integer) we give a set of axioms that are similar to Krivine’s well-known axioms for the subspaces of Lp-Banach spaces (when p/2 is not an integer). We also extend this result to the limiting case q = ∞.  相似文献

We introduce (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces and examine their properties. Covering mappings between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces are investigated. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a coincidence point of two mappings acting between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces such that one is a covering mapping and the other satisfies the Lipschitz condition are obtained.  相似文献

We determine the L p discrepancy of the two-dimensional Hammersley point set in base b. These formulas show that the L p discrepancy of the Hammersley point set is not of best possible order with respect to the general (best possible) lower bound on L p discrepancies due to Roth and Schmidt. To overcome this disadvantage we introduce permutations in the construction of the Hammersley point set and show that there always exist permutations such that the L p discrepancy of the generalized Hammersley point set is of best possible order. For the L 2 discrepancy such permutations are given explicitly. In this paper, we extend the (S) + 1 condition to multivalued mappings in an ordered Hausdorff topological vector space and we derive some existence results for generalized vector variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings satisfying the (S) + 1 condition. We generalize also an existence result of Cubiotti and Yao for generalized variational inequalities of class (S) + 1 to barreled normed spaces. As consequences, some existence results for vector variational inequalities are established. This work was partially supported by grants from the National Science Council of the Republic of China. We consider a general system of functional equations of the second kind in L 2 with a continuous linear operator T satisfying the condition that zero lies in the limit spectrum of the adjoint operator T*. We show that this condition holds for the operators of a wide class containing, in particular, all integral operators. The system under study is reduced by means of a unitary transformation to an equivalent system of linear integral equations of the second kind in L 2 with Carleman matrix kernel of a special kind. By a linear continuous invertible change, this system is reduced to an equivalent integral equation of the second kind in L 2 with quasidegenerate Carleman kernel. It is possible to apply various approximate methods of solution for such an equation.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain a sufficient condition for quite continuity of Fredholm type integral operators in the space L1(a, b). Uniform approximations by operators with degenerate kernels of horizontally striped structures are constructed. A quantitative error estimate is obtained. We point out the possibility of application of the obtained results to second kind integral equations, including convolution equations on a finite interval, equations with polar kernels, one-dimensional equations with potential type kernels, and some transport equations in non-homogeneous layers.  相似文献

Using elementary graded automorphisms of polytopal algebras (essentially the coordinate rings of projective toric varieties) polyhedral versions of the group of elementary matrices and the Steinberg and Milnor groups are defined. They coincide with the usual K-theoretic groups in the special case when the polytope is a unit simplex and can be thought of as compact/polytopal substitutes for the tame automorphism groups of polynomial algebras. Relative to the classical case, many new aspects have to be taken into account. We describe these groups explicitly when the underlying polytope is 2-dimensional. Already this low-dimensional case provides interesting classes of groups.
