Switching between right and left vortex magnetization states in annular ferromagnetic nanostructures, was studied. The study was performed by numerically solving the modified Landau-Lifshitz equation with consideration of the effect of spin transfer and full-scale consideration of the magnetostatic field, exchange energy, and anisotropy energy. The dynamics of magnetization reversal of the ferromagnetic nanoring, caused by the electric current flowing perpendicularly to the object plane and penetrating the structure, was studied taking into account two mechanisms of the current effect on magnetization: by the Oersted field and spin transfer. It was found that the presence of the spin polarization both perpendicular and parallel to the nanoring plane decreases the critical current at which the object is switched by an order of magnitude. It was shown that the toroidal moment \(\vec T\) is a convenient characteristic for describing magnetization reversal processes in annular magnetic nanostructures.  相似文献

The propagation of electromagnetic waves in an unmagnetized weakly inhomogeneous cold plasma is examined. We show that the inhomogeneity induces a gauge connection term in wave equation, which gives rise to Berry effects in the dynamics of polarized rays in the post geometric optics approximation. The polarization plane of a plane polarized ray rotates as a result of the geometric Berry phase, which is the Rytov rotation. Also, the Berry curvature causes the optical Hall effect, according to which, rays of left/right circular polarization deflect oppositely to produce a spin current directed across the direction of propagation.  相似文献

The elastic scattering amplitude of a polarized electron in an arbitrary plane wave electromagnetic field is obtained by using the method of dispersion relations. Superposition of a constant crossed field and a plane monochromatic wave of elliptic polarization is considered a particular case of giving the field. A theory has been constructed that strictly describes the spectrum of dipole-exchange spin waves in an arbitrarily magnetized anisotropic ferrite waveguide with a rectangular cross section. The theory takes into account the spatial inhomogeneity of the internal magnetic field in the waveguide cross section. The influence of parameters of the ferrite waveguide on the distribution of the internal magnetic field in the waveguide cross section is analyzed. The dispersion characteristics of two waveguide types most widely used in practice are investigated. The dipole-exchange spin wave spectra calculated for a transversely magnetized waveguide are presented and the distributions of the dynamic magnetization in the waveguide cross section for several types of volume and localized spin-wave modes are constructed.  相似文献

Sagnac fiber optic current sensor (S-FOCS) is a kind of optical interferometer based on Sagnac structure, optical polarization states of sensing light wave in Sagnac fiber optic current sensor are limited. However, several factors induce optical polarization error, and non-ideal polarized light waves cause the interference signal crosstalk in sensor, including polarizer, quarter-wave retarder, splice angular, birefringence and so on. With these errors, linearly polarized light wave in PM fiber and circularly polarized light wave in sensing fiber become elliptically polarized light wave, then, nonreciprocal phase shift induced by magnetic field of the current is interrupted by wrong polarization state. To clarify characteristics of optical polarization error in fiber optic current sensor, we analyze the evolution process of random optical polarization state, linear optical polarization state and circular optical polarization state in Sagnac fiber optic current sensor by using Poincare sphere, then, build optical polarization error models by using Jones matrix. Based on models of polarization state in Sagnac fiber optic current sensor, we investigate the influence of several main error factors on optical polarization error characteristics theoretically, including extinction ratio in polarizer, phase delay in quarter-wave retarder, splice angular between quarter-wave retarder and polarization maintaining fiber. Finally, we simulate and quantify nonreciprocal phase shift to be detected in fiber optic current sensor related with optical polarization errors. In the end, we demonstrate S-FOCS in test. The results show that transfer matrix errors are induced by inaccurate polarization properties during polarization state conversion, then, the stability and accuracy of the S-FOCS are affected, and it is important to control the polarization properties at each step of the polarization state conversion precisely.  相似文献

Thin epitaxial films of the diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) GaMnAs have been studied by low energy muon spin rotation and relaxation (LE-microSR) as well as by transport and magnetization measurement techniques. LE-microSR allows measurements of the distribution of magnetic field on the nanometer scale inaccessible to traditional macroscopic techniques. The spatial inhomogeneity of the magnetic field is resolved: although homogeneous above Tc, below Tc the DMS consists of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic regions of comparable volumes. In the ferromagnetic regions the local field inhomogeneity amounts to 0.03 T.  相似文献

The phenomenon of birefringence (spin rotation and spin dichroism) of high-energy deuterons is a macroscopic quantum effect similar to optical birefringence. Spin dichroism has already been observed experimentally. The contribution to spin dichroism produced by the interaction of the deuteron electric quadrupole moment with the electric field of a nucleus is considered. It is found that the effect is sensitive to the behavior of wave functions of the deuteron ground state at short distances.  相似文献

A mechanism is proposed for manipulating the magnetic state of a helical spin density wave using a current. It is shown that a current through a bulk metal with a helical spin density wave induces a spin transfer torque, which gives rise to a rotation of the order parameter. The use of spin transfer torque to manipulate the magnetization in bulk systems does not suffer from the obstacles seen for magnetization reversal using interface spin transfer torque in multilayered systems. The effect is demonstrated by a quantitative calculation of the current induced magnetization dynamics of a rare earth metal, Er. Finally, we propose a setup for experimental verification.  相似文献

The photon helicity may be mapped to a spin-1/2, whereby we put forward an intrinsic interaction between a polarized light beam as a "photon spin current" and a pure spin current in a semiconductor, which arises from the spin-orbit coupling in valence bands as a pure relativity effect without involving the Rashba or the Dresselhaus effect due to inversion asymmetries. The interaction leads to linear and circular optical birefringence, which are similar to the Voigt effect and the Faraday rotation in magneto-optics but nevertheless involve no net magnetization. The birefringence effects provide a direct, nondemolition measurement of pure spin currents.  相似文献

The magnetic linear birefringence of an FeBO3: Mg ferromagnetic crystal is investigated as a function of the magnetic field strength, the magnetic field orientation, and the coordinates. The structure of the inhomogeneous magnetic phase of this weak ferromagnet is determined by analyzing the experimental results obtained. It is shown that, in an inhomogeneous magnetic state, the ferromagnetic moment does not deviate from the basal plane of the crystal and the angle of its deviation from the direction of the applied magnetic field is described by a one-dimensional harmonic function of the spatial coordinate along the axis of magnetization.  相似文献

分析了线性双折射对光学电流互感器(OCT)电压输出的影响,指出了差除和信号处理方案检测输出光信息的不完备性问题,用琼斯矩阵理论证明了差除和方案不能独立检测块状玻璃传感头中线性双折射的结论。提出了光学电流互感器的椭偏检测方案,从椭圆偏振光参量方程出发,推导了温致线性双折射、法拉第旋转角与输出椭圆偏振光椭率、倾角之间的解析式,证明了椭偏检测法对输出光信息检测的完备性,实现了温致线性双折射和待测电流的同时测量。为保证实时性,提出了输出椭圆光的三态检测方案,采用水平、垂直和45°三个偏振态的实时检偏,既克服了线性双折射的影响又实现了待测电流的实时测量,从检测原理上解决了温致线性双折射对光学电流互感器的影响。  相似文献

Distribution of a magnetic moment in an exchange-coupled bilayer Fe/SmCo epitaxial structure grown on a (110) MgO substrate is visualized by the magnetooptic indicator film technique. The direction and the magnitude of the effective magnetization in this structure are determined both under external magnetic fields of variable magnitude and direction and after the removal of these fields. It is shown that such a heterostructure is remagnetized by a nonuniform rotation of a magnetic moment both along the thickness of a sample and in its plane. A field antiparallel to the axis of unidirectional anisotropy gives rise to spin springs with opposite chiralities in different regions of the magnetically soft ferromagnetic layer. The contributions of these springs to the net magnetization cancel out, thus decreasing the averaged magnetic moment and the remanent magnetization without their rotation. When the external field deviates from the easy axis, the balance is violated and the sample exhibits a quasi-uniform rotation of the magnetic moment. Asymmetry in the rotation of the magnetic moment is observed under the reversal of the field as well as under repeated remagnetization cycles. It is established that a monochiral spin spring is also formed in a rotating in-plane magnetic field when the magnitude of the field exceeds the critical value. Possible mechanisms of remagnetization in this system are discussed with regard to the original disordered orientation of magnetization of the magnetically soft layer with respect to the easy axis, which is defined by the variance of unidirectional anisotropy axes of this layer on the interface.  相似文献

Linear analysis of low frequency obliquely propagating electrostatic waves in a partially spin polarized degenerate magnetized plasma is presented. Using Fourier analysis, a general linear dispersion relation is derived for low frequency electrostatic lower hybrid(LH) wave, ion acoustic(IA) wave and ion cyclotron(IC) wave in the presence of electron spin polarization. It is found that the electron spin polarization gives birth to a new spin-dependent wave(spin electron acoustic wave) in the spectrum of these waves. Further, the electron spin polarization also causes drastic shifts in the frequency spectrum of these waves. These effects would have a strong bearing on wave phenomena in degenerate astrophysical plasmas.  相似文献

We study the nonlinear spin dynamics of Heisenberg helimagnet under the effect of electromagnetic wave (EM) propagation. The basic dynamical equation of the spin evolution governed by Landau–Lifshitz equation resembles the director dynamics of the twist in a cholestric liquid crystal. With the use of reductive perturbation technique the perturbation is invoked for the spin magnetization and magnetic field components of the propagating electromagnetic wave. A steady-state solution is derived for the weakly nonlinear regime and for the next order, the components turn around s plane perpendicular to the propagation direction. It is found that as the electromagnetic wave propagates in the medium, both the magnetization and magnetic field modulate in the form of kink soliton modes by introducing amplitude fluctuation in the tail part of the same.  相似文献

采用延迟器与旋光器的串联模型, 研究磁场中双折射光纤的偏振传输特性, 将它们的琼斯矩阵按照两种不同的顺序级联相乘, 导出了两种等效模型中等效相位延迟量、等效快轴方向和等效旋光角的解析表达式。研究发现, 当光纤同时具有线双折射和圆双折射时, 单位长度的等效相位延迟量并不等于其固有的线双折射, 等效旋光角也不等于其法拉第旋转角, 它们同时都与光纤的固有线双折射和磁场引起的圆双折射相关联。且在不同级联顺序的两种等效模型中, 等效相位延迟器的快轴方向都不与光纤的双折射主轴重合, 而是分别向两个相反的方向偏移一定的角度, 偏移角为等效旋光角的一半。  相似文献

Elementary excitations of a new type in paramagnetic materials with spin-orbit interaction are predicted theoretically within the Rashba model and named the spin remagnetization waves. These normal modes arise from rotation of the spin magnetic moment in a medium where the electric field contains a constant component and a traveling wave component. A method is proposed for exciting these vibrations by illuminating the sample with an oscillating interference pattern. The spin remagnetization waves can be experimentally detected by measuring the dependence of the current through the sample on the oscillation frequency and wave vector of the interference pattern.  相似文献

If light is diffracted by ultrasound in an isotropic medium with acoustically induced birefringence, the state of polarization is modified in each order of diffraction with respect to the initial state of polarization of the incident light wave. In the present paper, some polarization effects are discussed in the case of normal light incidence. In general a rotation of the main polarization plane occurs, together with a change of the ellipticity. However, while the former effect always takes place, the latter only occurs in the case of ultrasonic light diffraction of the intermediate type. Some experimental measurements are included in case of argon laser light being diffracted by an ultrasonic wave propagating in fused silica (SiO2).  相似文献

The boundary problem for a semi-infinite magnetic medium with arbitrary orientation of the magnetization vector is solved and polarization-and intensity-related characteristics of the reflected light wave are analyzed. It is shown that variations of the angle of incidence and of the orientation of the magnetization and polarization plane substantially affect the polarization characteristics of the reflected wave and give rise to specific features of the dependences under study.  相似文献

Analysis of the scattering of a plane monochromatic electromagnetic wave by an inhomogeneity of the velocity of motion of the medium is carried out. The inhomogeneity corresponds to the rotation of a finite portion of the medium with a constant angular velocity under the conditions of spatial homogeneity of the permittivity and the permeability. The case of oblique incidence of the wave is studied. The scattering cross sections for an inhomogeneity having the shape of a cylinder or a sphere of different dimensions are found for different angles of incidence of radiation.  相似文献

本文在理论上研究了铁磁/重金属双层薄膜结构中自旋霍尔效应自旋矩驱动的磁动力学. 通过线性稳定性分析, 获得了以电流和磁场为控制参数的磁性状态相图. 发现通过调节电流密度和外磁场, 可以获得不同的磁性状态, 例如: 平面内的进动态、平面内的稳定态以及双稳态. 当外磁场的方向在一定的范围时, 通过调节电流密度可以实现磁矩的翻转和进动. 同时, 通过数值求解微分方程, 给出了这些磁性状态磁矩的演化轨迹.  相似文献
