With the goal of understanding how the nature of the tridentate macrocyclic supporting ligand influences the relative stability of isomeric mu-eta 2:eta 2-peroxo- and bis(mu-oxo)dicopper complexes, a comparative study was undertaken of the O2 reactivity of Cu(I) compounds supported by the 10- and 12-membered macrocycles, 1,4,7-R3-1,4,7-triazacyclodecane (R3TACD; R = Me, Bn, iPr) and 1,5,9-triisopropyl-1,5,9-triazacyclododecane (iPr3TACDD). While the 3-coordinate complex [(iPr3TACDD)Cu]SbF6 was unreactive with O2, oxygenation of [(R3TACD)Cu(CH3CN)]X (R = Me or Bn; X = ClO4- or SbF6-) at -80 degrees C yielded bis(mu-oxo) species [(R3TACD)2Cu2(mu O)2]X2 as revealed by UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopy. Interestingly, unlike the previously reported system supported by 1,4,7-triisopropyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (iPr3TACN), which yielded interconverting mixtures of peroxo and bis(mu-oxo) compounds (Cahoy, J.; Holland, P. L.; Tolman, W. B. Inorg. Chem. 1999, 38, 2161), low-temperature oxygenation of [(iPr3TACD)Cu(CH3CN)]SbF6 in a variety of solvents cleanly yielded a mu-eta 2:eta 2-peroxo product, with no trace of the bis(mu-oxo) isomer. The peroxo complex was characterized by UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopy, as well as an X-ray crystal structure (albeit of marginal quality due to disorder problems). Intramolecular attack at the alpha C-H bonds of the substituents was indicated as the primary decomposition pathway of the oxygenated compounds through examination of the decay kinetics and the reaction products, which included bis(mu-hydroxo)- and mu-carbonato-dicopper complexes that were characterized by X-ray diffraction. A rationale for the varying results of the oxygenation reactions was provided by analysis of (a) the X-ray crystal structures and electrochemical behavior of the Cu(I) precursors and (b) the results of theoretical calculations of the complete oxygenated complexes, including all ligand atoms, using combined quantum chemical/molecular mechanics (integrated molecular orbital molecular mechanics, IMOMM) methods. The size of the ligand substituents was shown to be a key factor in controlling the relative stabilities of the peroxo and bis(mu-oxo) forms, and the nature of this influence was shown by both theory and experiment to depend on the ligand macrocycle ring size.  相似文献

In this work, tetraphenylethene macrocycles are selectively synthesized in one step from McMurry coupling reaction of 1,1-bis(4-phenylcarbonyl)-2,2-diphenylethene in 45% overall yield. A more planar cyclized compound can be obtained by oxidization of tetraphenylethene macrocycles with iron (III) chloride in nitromethane. Their unusual optical properties and electrical properties are explored. The measured mobilities are 0.7022 and 0.0055 cm2 V−1 s−1, respectively. The decomposition temperatures are also measured by thermal gravimetric analysis as, respectively 342 °C and 455 °C, indicating good thermal stabilities. The understanding of the structure and properties will benefit to the chemical synthesis of graphene.  相似文献

[1n]metacyclophanes are a class of important building blocks for supramolecular assembly of artificial capsules. Herein we present the preparation and properties of a novel polyfluorinated macrocycle meta-WreathArene, a C2-symmetrical [14]metacyclophane. Adopting a cone conformation in acetone solution, the macrocycle can form dimer capsules through hydrogen bonds induced by chloride anions. Each dimer capsule consists of two meta-WreathArene and two chloride anions, and has been unambiguously characterized both in solution and in solid state.  相似文献

A new polystyrene based membrane electrode of methyl substituted 6,7:13,14-dibenzo-2,4,9,11-tetraphenyl-1,5,8,12-tetraazacyclotetradeca-1,4,6,8,11,13-hexaene (I) with sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) as anion excluder and plasticizing agent was prepared and investigated as Hg (II)-selective electrode. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response for Hg (II) ions over a wide concentration range of 1.0 × 10−1–8.9 × 10−6 M with a slope of 30 ± 1 mV per decade concentration. It has a response time of 10 s and can be used for at least 4 months without any divergence in potentials. The membrane works satisfactorily in a partially non-aqueous medium up to a maximum 30% (v/v) content of methanol and ethanol. The proposed sensor revealed good selectivity over a wide variety of other cations including alkali, alkaline earth, heavy and transition metal ions and could be used in a pH range of 2.5–5.0. Normal interferents like Ag+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ low interfere in the working of the electrode. The electrode was successfully used in the direct determination of Hg2+ in aqueous solution.  相似文献

The 13,15-N-(3'-hydroxypropylcycloimide) chlorin p6 (CIC), which absorbs at 711 nm, possesses considerable photoinduced cell-killing activity. It is 43-, 61- and 110-fold more active than chlorin p6, 3-formyl-3-devinyl chlorin p6 and Photogem, respectively, and has no cytotoxicity without irradiation as estimated on A549 human adenocarcinoma cells. To attain the highest intracellular penetration and activity the monomeric form of CIC should be stabilized. This stabilization in an aqueous environment can be achieved using 0.002-0.005% of Cremophor EL emulsion (polyoxyethylene derivative of hydrogenated castor oil). The intracellular accumulation of CIC occurs in cytoplasm in a monomeric form bound to cellular membranes. This form of the dye is characterized by a high quantum yield of singlet oxygen generation (0.66 +/- 0.02). Besides diffuse staining of intracellular membranous structures, CIC accumulates 3- to 4-fold more intensely in mitochondria and Golgi apparatus, thus indicating these organelles to be the initial targets of its photodynamic action. The incubation time providing 50% accumulation level of CIC in cells is 30 +/- 5 min. The time for 50% release of CIC from the cells is 60 +/- 10 min. A 10-fold decrease in CIC intracellular penetration at 22 degrees C proves that temperature-sensitive mechanisms of transport, rather than diffusion, are responsible for the dye uptake. The average cytoplasmic concentration of CIC was seven times the extracellular concentration in the 0.2-1.6 microM range, used for the photodynamic activity measurements. The concentration of CIC and the light dose that correspond to ca 50% level of phototoxicity induce predominantly an apoptotic-type of cell death, whereas the conditions providing 100% level of phototoxicity induced necrosis. The results obtained indicate that cycloimide derivatives of chlorin p6 may serve as a base for the development of an efficient near-IR photosensitizer.  相似文献

The porphyrin and chlorin parent compounds constitute the base of many potent photosensitizers aimed to be utilized in photodynamic therapy (PDT). However, the photosensitizers available on the market today are not ideal for use in PDT; many of them suffering from drawbacks such as long-lasting photosensitization or absorption at wavelengths below the optimal tissue penetration. This has emphasized the need of new photosensitizers with improved photodynamic properties. In the present study we have used density functional theory based methods to design new chlorin compounds with conjugated substituents such as vinyl groups and carboxylic acids, aiming for strong absorption in the therapeutic window of PDT. The specific substituent positions were found to have a significant effect on the spectra. A chlorin with four propenoic acids was able to red-shift the absorption the most compared with non-substituted chlorin, generating the red-most absorption at 755 nm, and with significantly enhanced oscillator strengths. The results from the present study constitute a useful starting point for further design of tetrapyrrole derivatives as improved photosensitizers.  相似文献

A series of dinuclear complexes of a pseudocalixarene macrocycle H6L containing two 2,2'-methylenediphenol groups have been synthesised and structurally characterised. Using divalent metal ions, complexes containing a common hyperbolic paraboloid (saddle) M2(H4L)2+ core are formed. The structure is controlled by two strong O-H-O interactions resulting from metal ion-promoted monodeprotonation of the methylenediphenol units. The metal ions are located in a cleft within which neutral or anionic guests can bind. Use of trivalent metal ions leads to complete deprotonation of the phenol groups and loss of the saddle conformation.  相似文献

A PVC membrane based on bis-pyridine tetramide macrocycle exhibits a good response for silver ion over a wide concentration range (1.0x10(-1)-4.0x10(-5) mol l(-1)). The electrode has a relatively fast response time and can be used for more than 5 months without observing any divergence. High selectivity for Ag(+) ions over that of Na(+), K(+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Pb(2+) and Hg(2+) have been observed.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of a macrocycle utilizing a novel framework of standard amino acids in combination with subunits that we have named as Linked Amino Acid Mimetics (LAAMs). Macrocycles based on the LAAM concept provide both a peptide targeting region and two independently variable functional regions. In the prototype structure, the commonly known Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequence was used for the targeting region. The functional regions contain a phenyl group, and the linkage was formed via a Ring-Closing Metathesis (RCM) reaction.  相似文献

Heterocyclic orifices in cage-opened fullerene derivatives are regarded as potential ligands toward metals or ions, being reminiscent of truncated fullerenes as a hypothetical class of macrocycles with spherical π-conjugation. Among a number of cage-opened examples reported thus far, the coordination ability and dynamic behavior in solution still remained unclear due to difficulties in structural determination with multiple coordination sites on the macrocycles. Herein, we present the detailed solution dynamics of a cage-opened C60 derivative bearing a diketo bis(hemiketal) moiety in the presence of alkali metal ions. The NMR spectroscopy disclosed the coordination behavior which is identified as a two-step process with a 1 : 2 stoichiometry. Upon coordination to the Li+ ion, the macrocycle largely varies its properties, i.e., increased absorption coefficients in the visible region due to weakly-allowed charge transfer transitions as well as the inner potential field from neutral to positive by the charge delocalization along with the spherical π-surface. The Li+-complexes formed in situ underwent unprecedented selective dehydroxyhydrogenation under high-pressure conditions. These findings would facilitate further studies on fullerene-based macrocycles as metal sensors, bulky ligands in organic reactions, and ion carriers in batteries and biosystems.

A fullerene-based Lewis-basic macrocyclic ligand underwent complexation with alkali-metal ions in 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 fashions, resulting in considerable perturbation to absorption properties as well as the potential surface inside the cage.  相似文献

Several parameters of chlorin e6 and its derivative chlorin e6 ethylenediamide have been investigated as these compound are potential sensitizers for photodynamic therapy. A study carried out to compare the cellular uptake of the pigments indicates that chlorin e6 ethylenediamide possesses an enhanced affinity for tumour cells and cellular membranes. Comparison of the uptake in induced sarcoma shows that chlorin e6 ethylenediamide is a much better tumour localizer than chlorin e6. The efficiency of phototherapy with chlorin e6 ethylenediamide is higher than that with chlorin e6. These data show the influence of the substitution of the carboxyl groups in chlorin e6 by ester and amide groups on the photosensitizing properties of the pigments.  相似文献

The highly explosive molecules As(N(3))(3) and Sb(N(3))(3) were obtained in pure form by the reactions of the corresponding fluorides with (CH(3))(3)SiN(3) in SO(2) and purification by sublimation. The crystal structures and (14)N NMR, infrared, and Raman spectra were determined, and the results compared to ab initio second-order perturbation theory calculations. Whereas Sb(N(3))(3) possesses a propeller-shaped, pyramidal structure with perfect C(3) symmetry, the As(N(3))(3) molecule is significantly distorted from C(3) symmetry due to crystal packing effects.  相似文献
