采用光束的二阶强度矩的方法讨论三维像散光束的光束特性。通过计算像散光束在自由空间、球面光学系统中的传输特性以及坐标系旋转时的变换特性 ,给出了光束的束腰位置、束腰半径、瑞利长度、有效波面曲率半径、近场和远场的方位角、光束的光束参数积等参数与光强二阶矩之间的关系。  相似文献

本文讨论与M2因子有关的一些问题,指出在近轴近似条件下由光束的二阶强度矩定义的M2因子满足M2≥1,其中只有对基模高斯光束等式才成立.由光束的功率通量值定义的M2因子(Mpc2)有可能小于1,Mpc2的大小取决于所定义的光斑半径内包含的光功率的百分数.通过计算光场的二阶矩,我们获得了轴向相干叠加的高斯光束的M2因子的解析解.  相似文献

Diffraction of symmetrical Laguerre-Gauss TEMp0 beams incident on an opaque disk known as a stop is considered. The near- and far-field patterns are studied. Thanks to zero-field occluding, conversion from TEM10 beam to dark hollow beam can be achieved with better efficiency than from a TEM00 beam. It is shown that the fundamental mode of a laser cavity including a diaphragm and a stop can be TEM00- or TEM10-like in shape depending on their size. This result is interpreted from the new divergence hierarchy, which characterises the diffracted TEMp0 beams emerging from the stop.  相似文献

Diffraction losses are estimated for TEM00, TEM01, and TEM10 modes which can be generated in complex resonators. Dependences of the output power of the laser operating in the regime of transverse oscillation suppression on the transmission of the mirror are obtained. Optimal relationships between the field stop aperture area and the optical beam cross section are determined as functions of the gain of the active medium.  相似文献

In material processing, a laser system with optimal laser parameters has been considered to be significant. Especially, the laser ablation technology is thought to be very important for fabricating a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) module with good quality. Moreover, the TEM00 mode laser beam is the most dominant factor to decide the incident photon to current conversion efficiency (IPCE) characteristics. In order to get the TEM00 mode, a pin-hole is inserted within a simple pulsed Nd:YAG laser resonator. And the spatial field distribution is measured by using three pin-hole diameters of 1.6, 2.0 and 4.0 mm, respectively. At that moment, each case has the same laser beam energy by adjusting the discharge voltage and pulse per second (pps). From those results, it is known that the pin-hole size of 1.6 mm has the perfect TEM00 mode. In addition, at the charging voltage of 1000 V, 10 pps, the feeding speed of 6.08 mm/s and the overlapping rate (OL) of 62%, the scanning electron microscope (SEM) photograph of fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) thin film layers shows the best ablation trace.  相似文献

The superresolution technique is usually used in optical imaging for its ability to make the central diffractive spot smaller than the Airy spot. In this paper, we apply the superresolution technique for transforming a symmetrical TEMp0 Laguerre-Gauss beam into a Gaussian intensity distribution in the plane of a converging lens. The beam shaping is achieved by an annular binary Diffractive Optical Element having a transmittance, alternatively equal to −1 or + 1, modelled on the p light rings of the incident beam. It is observed that the rectified TEM30 beam at focus has a focal volume 170 times smaller than that of a Gaussian beam.  相似文献

The analytical expression for nonparaxial electric field amplitude of the TEM0l? doughnut beam with the orbital angular momentum quantum number l is derived in the far field by means of the angular spectrum representation and the stationary phase method. It is shown that the divergent angle of the far field of TEM0l? doughnut beam will be smaller with the decreasing of the orbital angular momentum quantum number l or the increasing of the beam waist width w of the initial beam. And the maximal radial intensity of the beam is decreased with its propagation at different rates for different l and w.  相似文献

单口径相干合成系统激光光束的光束质量是一个亟待解决的重要问题.基于二阶矩定义, 文中给出了单口径TEM00, TEM01及TEM10两两相干光束M2因子的解析表达式, 并比较分析了束腰宽度、传输距离、振幅之比,以及源场位置矢量对相干光束M2因子的影响, 得到了诸如源场位置参量d1<100λ时,各相干光束M2因子恒定,反之, 其随位置参量d1的增大而增大等一些结论.最后,文章对两TEM00模相干光束M2因子的 部分理论进行了实验验证.  相似文献

The astigmatic high power diode laser beam emitted from a two-dimensional stacked array is transformed into a beam with rotational symmetry. The symmetrization optic is a first order optical system consisting of a bifocal telescope and three rotated cylindrical lenses. The symmetrized beam has equal beam radii, far field divergence, and waist positions in x, y directions. Additionally a twist appears. The beam parameter product of the symmetrized beam is the average of the beam parameter products of the input astigmatic beam along x-, y-axes. The twist arises from the astigmatism of the original beam. The theoretical calculations are confirmed by the experiments.  相似文献

The Laser-Lithography technique allows the fabrication of complex objects having microsizes by selectively solidifying polymeric materials layer by layer upon exposure to a focused Gaussian laser beam having a beam propagation factor M2=1. We can expect that extension of this technique to large sizes 3-D prototyping comes up against a large increase in the design time. A possible solution is the increase in the focused spot size, but unfortunately at the price of a great reduction in the longitudinal resolution due to the resulting increase in the depth of focus. To overcome these difficulties, we propose the use of a rectified TEMp0 beam allowing the obtaining of a Gaussian beam intensity profile in the focus plane of a lens. The reshaped TEMp0 beam has a beam propagation factor M2≈(2p+1), and this yields to a relative improvement of the longitudinal resolution although the spot size is increased for reducing the processing time.  相似文献

A simple method to determine the thermal focal length of LD end-pumped solid-state laser with stable resonator is presented. The M2 factor describing the quality of the beam can be obtained by scanning a slit through the multi-mode Gaussian beam field. The waist width of the beam and the corresponding TEM00 under the same parameters of laser are then deduced through the law of multi-mode Gaussian beam propagation. Based on the standard matrix theory of stable resonator, the thermal focal length of the gain medium can be easily achieved. To show the application of this approach, the thermal focal length of an LD pumped Nd:YVO4 laser is measured and the experimental results are in agreement with the theoretical prediction.  相似文献

We demonstrate simultaneous generation, propagation and detection of optical vortices using all fiber-optic system. A fiber-optic Y-coupler was used for generating spherical and doughnut beams, simultaneously. Gaussian (TEM00) beam emitted from CW red He-Ne laser is coupled into the fiber coupler and is converted into vortex beam via second arm of fiber which propagates with azimuthal phase dependence having well defined orbital angular momentum. The phase structure of vortex beam was detected by interfering both the beams using simple fiber-optic interferometer. The present all fiber-optic system might find application for detecting, sensing physical parameters and is simple and cost effective for generating and detecting optical vortices.  相似文献

We study the focus shaping of tightly focused TEM11 mode cylindrically polarized Laguerre Gaussian beam with high numerical aperture lens axicon system is investigated theoretically by vector diffraction theory. The intensity pattern at the focus can be tailored by appropriately adjusting the rotation angle. We show that the high NA lens axicon system can generates a sub wavelength focal spot, focal hole, focal splitting and flat-topped focal shapes with extended depth of focus.  相似文献

Based on the vectorial structure of electromagnetic beam and the method of stationary phase, the analytical TE and TM terms of TM polarized Gaussian beam, the rigorous solution of Maxwell's equations for a confocal resonator, have been presented in the far field. Then in terms of the vectorial structure, TM polarized Gaussian beam is compared with Gaussian TEM00 mode. The TE term is located at the y-axis, and the TM term the x-axis. At the non-paraxial case, the whole beam spot is elliptical, and the long axis is located at the y-axis. Moreover, the whole beam spot of TM polarized Gaussian beam is smaller than that of Gaussian TEM00 mode. At the paraxial case, the whole beam spot is circular, and TM polarized Gaussian beam reduces to be Gaussian TEM00 mode.  相似文献

The symmetrizing transformation of coherent general astigmatic Gaussian beams is analysed by the tensor ABCD law. It is shown in this paper that a nonorthogonal astigmatic Gaussian beam (with rotation) can be transformed into a rotationally symmetric one by the combination of four cylindrical lenses. The cross-focusing of two co-axial transverse modes of a laser beam viz. TEM00 and TEM01 modes of the same frequency in a non-linear dielectric has been studied. When the TEM00 mode is stronger than the TEM01 mode, both modes focus on the axis. In the opposite case, defocusing occurs at the axis and energy concentrates in a ring.  相似文献

A novel design of a diode-side-pumped bounce amplifier laser is described that can produce a high-power TEM00 mode and Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) vortex mode operation with high circularity and low astigmatism. The design utilises control of pump size and bounce angle such that the laser mode experiences substantially circular symmetric gain and spherical thermal lensing, in a highly compact fundamental mode resonator. In a simple plane–plane Nd:YVO4 laser resonator with no other optical components and total length of just 13.4 cm, highly circularised TEM00 operation is produced at wavelength 1064 nm, with 14.2 W of power and high beam quality M 2<1.05. Stable Q-switched TEM00 operation is demonstrated up to 900 kHz and second harmonic power of 7.2 W at 532 nm is generated with conversion efficiency up to 64%. Minor modification of the design to exploit the spherical aberration of the thermal lens is shown to allow for generation of a doughnut-shaped LG vortex mode with average power 16.6 W, maintaining extremely low astigmatism. Q-switched operation of the vortex mode is accomplished up to 400 kHz. A detailed numerical thermal analysis of the amplifier design is performed and gives quantitative agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

A new and simple technique for measuring the effective diameter of a laser beam used in material processing is described. The time for the temperature of a spot heated by the laser beam to rise to 90% of equilibrium is compared with that predicted theoretically for a Gaussian TEM00 laser beam. A Gaussian beam diameter equivalent is thus deduced. This calculated diameter is of particular relevance to applications where the laser is used as a heat source.  相似文献
