This article contributes experimental corroboration of cross-polarization modulation (XPolM). A continuous wave probe signal is remotely controlled by a modulated pump signal. Experimental results show that the state of polarization (SOP) evolution of the probe signal resembles that of the pump signal to a confined region on the Poincaré sphere. Further a bit pattern is transmitted on the probe signal by making use of cross-phase modulation induced nonlinear polarization rotation of the probe signal. The article also gives evidence to the detrimental effect cross phase modulation may have on polarization mode dispersion compensators. The results show that the degree of polarization degradation of a probe signal in a two model wavelength division multiplexing system deteriorates with an increase in the power ratio between the pump and probe signal.  相似文献

Dynamic evolution of triple hierarchical stellar systems using higher-order perturbations in the framework of a restricted three-body problem was performed. Hierarchical triple systems consist of a relatively close pair and a satellite on a distant orbit. These systems are thought to be stable on cosmological timescales, in contrast to systems where all the distances are comparable. We obtain a solution for intermediate motion, where the mean motions of both components have secular evolutionary terms. Perturbations from the distant component slow down the rotation of the close pair, while its own mean motion secularly increases due to interaction with the binary component. Perturbations are small but may change the configuration of the system of cosmological timescales. The probability that such systems become unstable is high.  相似文献

Results are presented that were obtained by studying the previously unknown narrow resonance of mass about 1070 MeV. This state was discovered in the system of two K S mesons. The experimental data subjected to the analysis here come from the 6-m spectrometer created at the Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics (ITEP, Moscow) and irradiated with a 40-GeV beam of negatively charged pions from the U-70 accelerator at the Institute for High Energy Physics (IHEP, Protvino) with the aim of studying π ? p and π ?C interactions. At the respective maximum, there are 69 events, the statistical significance being not less than six standard deviations. The mass and width of the observed meson are M = 1072.4 ± 0.8 MeV and Γ = 3.5 +1.5 ?1.0 MeV, respectively, the product of the cross section for its formation and the relevant branching ratio being not less than 20 nb. The preferable J PC assignment for this resonance is 0++. Its extraordinary small width has no satisfactory theoretical explanation.  相似文献

In terms of the invariance of the rotational relativistic Pfaff-Birkhoff-D'Alembert principle under infinitesimal transformations, the Noether symmetries and conserved quantities of a rotational relativistic Birkhoff system are given. We present studies of thermal entanglement of a three-spin system in triangular symmetry. Spin correlations are described within an effective Heisenberg Hamiltonian, derived from the Hubbard Hamiltonian, with super-exchange couplings modulated by an effective electric field. Additionally a homogenous magnetic field is applied to completely break the degeneracy of the system. We show that entanglement is generated in the subspace of doublet states with different pairwise spin correlations for the ground and excited states. For the doublets with the same spin orientation one can observe nonmonotonic temperature dependence of entanglement due to competition between entanglement encoded in the ground state and the excited state. The mixing of the states with an opposite spin orientation or with quadruplets (unentangled states) always monotonically destroys entanglement. Pairwise entanglement is quantified using concurrence for which analytical formulae are derived in various thermal mixing scenarios. The electric field plays a specific role – it breaks the symmetry of the system and changes spin correlations. Rotating the electric field can create maximally entangled qubit pairs together with a separate spin (monogamy) that survives in a relatively wide temperature range providing robust pairwise entanglement generation at elevated temperatures.  相似文献

The first experimental evidence of rotational Doppler broadening in photoelectron spectra, reported here, show good agreement with recently described theoretical predictions. The dependence of the broadening on temperature and photoelectron kinetic energy is quantitatively predicted by the theory. The experiments verify that the rotational contributions to the linewidth are comparable to those from translational Doppler broadening and must be considered in the analysis of high-resolution photoelectron spectra. A classical model accounting for this newly observed effect is presented.  相似文献

The supercurrent in a triangular triple quantum dot system is investigated by using the nonequilibrium Green's function method. It is found that the sign of the supercurrent can be changed from positive to negative with increasing the strength of spin-flip scattering, resulting in the π-junction transition. The supercurrent and the π-junction transition are also modulated by tuning the system parameters such as the gate voltage and the interdot coupling. The tunable π-junction transition is explained in terms of the current carrying density of states. These results provide the ways of manipulating the supercurrent in a triple quantum dot system.  相似文献

We theoretically introduce a mesoscopic pendulum from a triple dot. The pendulum is fastened through a singly occupied dot (spin qubit). Two other strongly capacitively coupled islands form a double-dot charge qubit with one electron in excess oscillating between the two low-energy charge states (1,0) and (0,1). The triple dot is placed between two superconducting leads. Under realistic conditions, the main proximity effect stems from the injection of resonating singlet (valence) bonds on the triple dot. This gives rise to a Josephson current that is charge- and spin-dependent and, as a consequence, exhibits a distinct resonance as a function of the superconducting phase difference.  相似文献

Using the nonequilibrium Keldysh Green's function technique, the Fano effect of a parallel-coupled triple Rashba quantum dot system is investigated. The conductance as a function of electron energy is numerically calculated. Compared with the case of a parallel-coupled double quantum dot system, two additional Fano resonance peaks occur in the conductance spectrum. By adjusting the structural parameters, the two Fano resonance peaks may change into the resonance peaks. In addition, the influence of Rashba spin-orbit interaction on the conductance is studied.  相似文献

The stochastic resonance (SR) phenomenon in an overdamped bistable system with multiplicative and additive noise is investigated. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated when two types of modulation signal are added to the system. The effects of the intensities, the frequencies and relative phase shift of two types of modulation signal on the SNR are discussed, respectively. Research results show that: (i) the intensities of two types of modulation signal can enhance the maximum in the SNR as a function of the noise intensity, and the frequencies can restrain it; (ii) the additive modulation signal can enhance the maximum in the SNR as a function of the noise intensity in comparison with the multiplicative modulation signal; (iii) when both modulation frequencies are equal, the SNR as a function of the relative phase shift exhibits multiple maxima. The multiple maxima in the SNR identifies the characteristic of the stochastic multi-resonance phenomenon.  相似文献

Superconductivity is observed in a new nontoxic cuprate system Ga-Ba-Ca-Cu-O,with T_c=82 K for Ga Ba_2Ca_5Cu_6O_(14+δ)(Ga-1256)and T_c=116 K probably for Ga Ba_2Ca_3Cu_4O_(10+δ)(Ga-1234)or Ga Ba_2Ca_2Cu_3O_(8+δ)(Ga-1223),respectively.All compounds are fabricated by solid state reaction method under high pressure and high temperature.Samples are characterized by resistivity,magnetization and X-ray diffraction(XRD)measurements.The temperature dependence of magnetization measured in both zero-field-cooled and field-cooled processes on one sample(S1)shows two superconducting transitions at about 82 K and113 K.The estimated shielding fraction for the phase with T_cof 82 K is about 67%,while the fraction for another phase with T_(c )of 113 K is quite small.The XRD Rietveld refinement for S1 indicates two main phases existing in the sample,Ga-1256 with fraction of about 58%and non-superconducting Ca_(0.85)Cu O_2with fraction of about 42%respectively.Thus,we can conclude the superconducting phase with transition temperature of 82 K is due to Ga-1256.The resistivity measurement also confirms the superconductivity for S1,and the resistivity reaches zero at about 82 K.The temperature dependence of magnetization for another sample(S2)shows much higher superconducting shielding fraction for the phase with T_cof 116 K,which may be a promising prospective for the synthesis of Ga-1234 or Ga-1223 phase.  相似文献

The frequency shift expected to occur analogously to the Doppler effect when an emitting quantum system is forced to rotate [Phys. Rev. Lett. 78, 2539 (1997)] has been detected for the first time, and verified quantitatively. The experimental conditions were chosen such that the most general case was realized where perturbation theory is not applicable. Circularly polarized visible laser light tuned to a rovibronic transition, and a rotating radio-frequency electric field were applied to the strongly polar molecule H2CS in a gaseous sample.  相似文献

We have studied the algebraic structure of the dynamical equations of a rotational relativistic Birkhoff system. It is proven that autonomous and semi-autonomous rotational relativistic Birkhoff equations possess consistent algebraic structure and Lie algebraic structure. In general, non-autonomous rotational relativistic Birkhoff equations possess no algebraic structure, but a type of special non-autonomous rotational relativistic Birkhoff equation possesses consistent algebraic structure and consistent Lie algebraic structure. Then, we obtain the Poisson integrals of the dynamical equations of the rotational relativistic Birkhoff system. Finally, we give an example to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

针对一类具有非线性刚度、非线性阻尼的非线性相对转动系统, 应用耗散系统的拉格朗日原理建立在组合谐波激励作用下非线性相对转动系统的动力学方程. 构造李雅普诺夫函数, 分析相对转动系统的稳定性, 研究自治系统的分岔特性. 应用多尺度法求解相对转动系统的非自治系统在组合激励作用下的分岔响应方程. 最后采用数值仿真方法, 通过分岔图、时域波形、相平面图、Poincaré截面图等研究外扰激励、系统阻尼、 非线性刚度对相对转动系统经历倍周期分岔进入混沌运动的影响. 关键词: 相对转动 组合激励 分岔 混沌  相似文献
