It is shown that, if isospin is not conserved in a 0 0 -and f 0-meson mixing, forward-backward asymmetry arises in the pnda 0 0 reaction. This effect increases near the reaction threshold. The asymmetry is estimated within the framework of a model in which the a 0 0 -f 0 mixing is due to the virtual π0?η transition and the difference in masses of the charged and neutral kaons in decay channels. The angular asymmetry near the threshold of the pnda 0 0 reaction was found to be large, of the order of 8–15%.  相似文献

The recent measurements of the Bs mass difference Δ Ms by the CDF and DO collaborations are roughly consistent with the Standard Model predictions, therefore, these measurements will afford an opportunity to constrain new physics scenarios beyond the Standard Model. We consider the impact of the R-parity violating supersymmetry in the B0s—B0s mixing, and use the latest experimental results of ΔMs to constrain the size of the R-parity violating tree level couplings in the B0s—B0s mixing. Then, using the constrained RPV parameter space from ΔMs, we show the R-parity violating effects on the Bs width difference ΔΓs.  相似文献

The neutrinoless double-beta (0νββ) decay is a unique process used to identify the Majorana nature of massive neutrinos, and its rate depends on the size of the effective Majorana neutrino mass <m>ee. We put forward a novel ‘coupling-rod’ diagram to describe <m>ee in the complex plane, by which the effects of the neutrino mass ordering and CP-violating phases on <m>ee are intuitively understood. We show that this geometric language allows us to easily obtain the maximum and minimum of |<m>ee|. It remains usable even if there is a kind of new physics contributing to <m>ee, and it can also be extended to describe the effective Majorana masses <m>, <m>, <m>μμ, <m>μτ and <m>ττ which may appear in some other lepton-number violating processes.  相似文献

Mixing in the systems of neutral K 0 and B 0 mesons is considered within the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) containing a type-II Yukawa sector and featuring an explicitCP violation in the Higgs potential. In the case of a strong mixing of CP-even and CP-odd states, the model admits the presence of a light charged Higgs boson. Basic mixing parameters are calculated. These include the mass difference Δm LS between neutral kaons and the parameter ε, which characterizes the amount of an indirect CP violation (that is, that which arises owing to an ultraweak mixing of CP-invariant and CP-noninvariant components). In the limit of the low-energy one-loop approximation, it is shown that, for the K 0 mesons, the contribution of nonstandard-physics effects to the mass splitting of the neutral kaons and an indirect CP violation are very small and are weakly dependent on the mass of the charged Higgs boson. Under certain conditions, the nonstandard contributions for the B 0- $ \bar B_d^0 $ and B 0- $ \bar B_s^0 $ systems may become somewhat more substantial, which constrains the MSSM parameter space.  相似文献

Role of theΛ(1600)is studied in the K^-p→Λπ^0π^0 reaction by using the effective Lagrangian approach near the threshold.We perform a calculation for the total and differential cross sections by considering the contributions from theΛ(1600)andΛ(1670)intermediate resonances decaying intoπ^0∑^*0(1385)with∑^*0(1385)decaying intoπ^0Λ.Additionally,the non-resonance process from u-channel nucleon pole is also taken into account.With our model parameters,the current experimental data on the total cross sections of the K^-p→Λπ^0π^0 reaction can be well reproduced.It is shown that we really need the contribution from the A(1600)with spin-parity J^P=1/2^+,and that these measurements can be used to determine some of the properties of theΛ(1600)resonance.Furthermore,we also plot theπ0Λinvariant mass distributions which could be tested by the future experimental measurements.  相似文献

We calculate the D~0-~0 mixing parameter y in the factorization-assisted topological-amplitude(FAT)approach, considering contributions from D~0→PP, PV, and VV modes, where P(V) stands for a pseudoscalar(vector) meson. The D~0→PP and PV decay amplitudes are extracted in the FAT approach, and the D~0→VV decay amplitudes with final states in the longitudinal polarization are estimated via the parameter set for D~0→PV. It is found that the VV contribution to y, being of order of 10-4, is negligible, and that the PP and PV contributions amount only up to y_(PP+PV) =(0.21±0.07)%, a prediction more precise than those previously obtained in the literature,and much lower than the experimental data y_(exp) =(0.61 ±0.08)%. We conclude that D~0 meson decays into other two-body and multi-particle final states are relevant to the evaluation of y, so it is difficult to understand it fully in an exclusive approach.  相似文献

With the amplitudes obtained in the effective lagrangian (BL) and in the dispersion (BDW) methods the new data for the (γ, π0) reaction on the proton near threshold are analysed. The inclusion of ω0-meson exchange in the BDW amplitude removes the discrepancy with experimental data. The tensor and vector coupling constants which are consistent with the results of other analyses give the value of E0+ multipole predicted by the PCAC hypothesis.  相似文献

We investigate the reaction ppda 0 + at COSY and SIS energies together with accompanying background reactions and inclusive particle yields. The a 0 + is considered as a usual u quark model state with two decay channels a 0 +K + and a 0 +↦π+η. Calculated cross-sections for a 0 + production as well as for the corresponding non-resonant channels ppdK + and ppdπ+η are compared. Especially, in case of the final channel dπ+η, high statistics measurements are necessary to extract the a 0 + signal from the high non-resonant background. In the minimal supersymmetric standard model the decay h0A0A0 of the light neutral scalar h0 is kinematically allowed for low values of tan β when radiative corrections to the neutral Higgs masses are taken into account. The width of this decay mode is revisited on the basis of a complete one-loop diagrammatic calculation. We give the analytical expressions and numerical results and compare them with the corresponding ones from the simpler and compact approximations of the effective potential method and the renormalization group approach.  相似文献

An expression for the decay rate (0 ) has been derived in the frameworkof the spinor strong interaction theory, a first-principles strong interaction theoryproposed some years ago as an alternative to low-energy QCD. The startingpoint is the SO(3) gauge-invariant action for two quark mesons which has beensuccessful in accounting for confinement, + + , e+, and 0 e+, nonexistenceof the Higgs boson, and other low-energy mesonic phenomena. The quasi-four-quarkmeson equations developed for the decay of a vector meson into twopseudoscalar mesons V PP has been taken over here to apply to P(0) VV(+ ) (plus + and which annihilate each other). This mechanismin principle agrees with that of the assumption of vector meson dominance inthe literature. It, together with the effect of form factors, arises naturally in theformalism and need not be assumed. Equations for the perturbed vector mesonwave functions cannot be simply solved and an assumption has been made toobtain an estimate of their magnitude. Together with a constant associated withthe strong coupling obtained earlier from V() PP(K+K), the estimated decayrate is 19.2 eV, in order-of-magnitude agreement with data (7.74 eV).  相似文献

The strong sensitivity of coherent π0 photoproduction to the choice of the reaction energy ω in the elementary tπγ (ω)-matrix is demonstrated. The best agreement of the DWIA results with the experimental data is achieved when ω is chosen as an eigenvalue of the free relativistic hamiltonian of the πN system. The critical current I C of S-FNF-S Josephson structures has been calculated as a function of the distance between the superconducting (S) electrodes, L, via the Usadel semiclassical equations for the case of specifying the supercurrent in the direction parallel to the interface between the ferromagnetic (F) and normal (N) films of the composite weak-link region. It has been shown that, owing to the interaction between the F and N films, both the typical decrease scale of the critical current and the period of its oscillations to lengths of the scale ξN can be much larger than the respective quantities for the SFS junctions. Moreover, this interaction changes both the magnitude and sign of the critical current. It has been shown that the critical current in a structure with the collinear magnetization vectors of the films can be significantly different from the critical current in a structure with the antiparallel magnetization of the F films.  相似文献

The Cu-O plane and the clusters that possess the same C4v symmetry around a Cu ion have 2-hole eigenstates of the kinetic energy with vanishing on-site repulsion (W=0 pairs). Cluster calculations by exact diagonalisation show that these are the quasiparticles that lead to a paired ground state, and have superconducting flux-quantisation properties. Here, we extend the theory to the full plane, and show that the W=0 quasiparticles are again the natural explanation of superconducting flux-quantisation. Moreover, by a new approach which is exact in principle, we calculate the effective interaction between two holes added to the ground state of the repulsive three-band Hubbard model. To explain how a noninteracting electron gas becomes a superconductor when switching the local Coulomb interaction, we obtain a closed-form analytic expression including the effects of all virtual transitions to 4-body intermediate states (exchange of an electron-hole pair). Our scheme is ready to include other interactions which are not considered in the Hubbard model but may be important. In the plane, the W=0 pairs have 1 B 2 and 1 A 2 symmetry. The effective interaction in these channels is attractive and leads to a Cooper-like instability of the Fermi liquid, while it is repulsive for triplet pairs. From , we derive an integral equation for the pair eigenfunction; the binding energy of the pairs is in the range of tens of meV. The ω resonance production and its π0γ decay in pA reactions close to threshold is considered within the Intranuclear Cascade (INC) model. The π0γ invariant-mass distribution shows two components which correspond to the ω decay “inside” and “outside” the nucleus, respectively. The “inside” component is distorted by medium effects, which introduce a mass shift as well as collisional broadening for the ω-meson and its decaying pion. The relative contribution of the “inside” component is analyzed in detail for different kinematical conditions and nuclear targets. It is demonstrated that a measurement of the correlation in azimuthal angle between the π0 and γ momenta allows to separate events related to the “inside”ω decay from different sources of background when uncorrelated π0's and γ's are produced. We calculate theK S Emphasis>0 →γγ decay within the approach of non-linear realization of chiralS U(3)×S U(3). The branching ratio with respect to theπ + π - channel turns out to be 3.5×10?6 and therefore similar to the result gotten previously by dispersion relation techniques in a non-chiral model. We also discuss theK L 0 →γγ decay by taking into account new results onη 1-η 8 mixing from recent measurements of the η→γγ decay.  相似文献

We report the analysis status of single π~0 electroproduction in the resonance region to study the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon resonances. The study is aimed at understanding of the internal structure and dynamics of the nucleon. The experiment was performed using an unpolarized cryogenic hydrogen target and 2.0 and 5.8 GeV polarized electron beam during the e1e and e1-6 run periods with CLAS at Jefferson Lab. The new measurements will produce a data base with high statistics and large kinematic coverage for the hadronic invariant mass (W) up to 2.0 GeV in the momentum transfer (Q~2) range of 0.3-6.0 GeV~2. Preliminary results will be presented and compared with the various model calculations.  相似文献

Data for the elastic scattering of 30–80 MeV positive and negative pions by a wide range of nuclei is analysed with an Ericson-Ericson MSU type optical potential. By use of consistent sets of data for π+ and π and of experimental results for total reaction cross sections we obtain for the first time optical potentials that describe well all the data without the need of introducing non-standard charge-dependent effects.  相似文献
