We conducted a content analysis of news articles (N = 540) to examine whether news coverage of media violence accurately reflects scientific knowledge about exposure to media violence and its effects on viewer aggression. The analysis revealed that over the past 30 years, news articles generally suggested that a link between media violence and aggression exists. However, the tone shifted sharply back toward a neutral conclusion since 2000. This shift may be attributable to the type of medium discussed (e.g., television vs. video games), the number of unaffiliated sources that are cited in the news article, and the sex of the journalist. Implications for how this news coverage may influence news readers are discussed.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to examine violence in music video programming. Using a representative sample of television content, we assessed whether the amount and context of physical aggression varied across different music video channels (BET, MTV, VH-1) and genres (adult contemporary, heavy metal, rap rhythm and blues, and rock). The results reveal that 15% of music videos feature violence, and most of that aggression is sanitized, not chastised, and presented in realistic contexts. Significant differences emerged in the prevalence and nature of violence by channel and genre, however. The findings are discussed in terms of the risk that exposure to violence in each channel and genre may be posing to viewers' learning of aggression, fear, and emotional desensitization.  相似文献

This article considers the neuroendocrine factors leading to systematic differences in trait verbal aggression (VA). Verbally aggressive people produce messages that attack the self‐concept of another (D. A. Infante & C. J. Wigley, 1986). A neuroendocrine factor, prenatal androgen exposure (PNAE), was proposed as a possible predictor of VA. To explore this possibility, the relationship between the ratio between the length of the second digit and fourth digit (2D:4D), an indicator of PNAE, and VA was examined across 2 studies. Specifically, it was predicted that variance in PNAE would be correlated with variance in trait VA. Results from the 2 studies indicated that 2D:4D is correlated with VA as predicted, even with the influence of sex removed.  相似文献

This study examined the effects of interactivity in violent video games on aggression and tested identification as the moderated mediating mechanism. A total of 169 male undergraduate students participated in a 2 media interactivity (enactive mediation vs. observational mediation) × 2 violence (violent vs. nonviolent) experiment. Results supported a moderated mediation model in which the effect of media interactivity on aggressive affect through identification was moderated by violence. When violence was present, interactive play resulted in higher short‐term aggressive affect through higher character identification than when violence was not present. Additionally, an interaction effect between media interactivity and violence was found for automatic self‐concept in which players associated themselves more with the game character's traits than video viewers.  相似文献

Dealloying is a process whereby selective dissolution results in a porous, strained structure often with new properties. The process is of both intrinsic and applied interest, and recently has been used to make highly active catalysts. The porosity has been studied using electron microscopy while the dealloying‐induced strain has been studied at the ensemble level using X‐ray diffraction. Despite the importance of local, for example, at the individual particle or grain level, strain in controlling the properties of the dealloyed material, it remains unresolved due to the difficulty of imaging 3D strain distributions with nanometer resolution in reactive environments. This information could play an integral role in understanding and controlling lattice strain for a variety of applications. Here, 3D strain distributions in individual nanoparticles and thin film grains in silver–gold alloys undergoing nitric acid‐induced dealloying are imaged by Bragg coherent diffractive imaging. Particles exhibit dramatic changes in their local strains due to dealloying but grains do not. The average lattice in both grains and particles contracts during dealloying. In general, the results reveal significant dealloying‐induced strain heterogeneity at the nanoscale in both isolated and extended samples, which may be utilized to develop advanced nanostructures for a variety of important applications.  相似文献

Use of violent media content by adolescents has long been a matter of public concern and debate, a concern that was heightened by the reported use of violent computer games and websites by the killers at Columbine High School in 1999. This study examined predictors of various types of self-reported use of violent media content by 8th graders (N = 3,127) from 20 schools around the U.S. Hierarchical regression analyses indicated that gender, sensation seeking, aggression, and frequency of Internet use had relatively strong contributions to explaining the use of violent media content composite and the measure of violent website content use. Alienation variables contributed significantly, though modestly, to variance explained in the use of violence-oriented websites, but not to the composite measure. Alienation from school and family also appeared to partially mediate effects of sensation seeking and aggression on use of violent Internet content. A negative feedback loop model for linking uses and gratifications approaches to the study of effects of violent media content on adolescents is suggested.  相似文献

利用化学深沉法制备SnO2纳米材料,再利用平面丝网印刷技术制备不同膜厚的SnO2厚膜型气敏器件试样,测量不同厚膜气敏器件试样对甲烷气体检测灵敏度和阻温曲线,并进行复阻抗分析。实验表明试样膜厚对检测灵敏度的影响是明显的,试样膜厚在53μm左右对甲烷气体有最大灵敏度。  相似文献

目前,薄膜在现代科学技术中的重要性与日俱增,基本上各种技术都离不开薄膜。薄膜均匀性在光学、光电及微机电系统(MEMS)等器件的加工工艺中起着不可估量的作用。首先,对点源小面积薄膜均匀性的公式进行理论推导;其次,分析了平面和球面夹具的基片薄膜均匀性公式,并根据这些理论公式着重分析影响薄膜均匀性的各种因素以及改进措施;最后,通过对实验数据的分析研究来不断地改进薄膜均匀性的夹具,改善器件的膜厚均匀性、一致性,从而达到提高器件的稳定性和可靠性,降低生产成本的目的。  相似文献

This study examined the relationship between media violence exposure and Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)‐related behaviors. Using survey (parent‐reported) and genetic data of 1,612 Dutch children (aged 5 to 9 years), we examined genetic disposition as a possible cause of individual differences in children's use of and susceptibility to media violence. The gene variant of interest was the 5‐HTTLPR polymorphism, which has been associated with ADHD‐related behaviors in previous research. Results showed that the “long” variant of the gene polymorphism was related to greater violent media use, which in turn was related to more ADHD‐related behaviors. The 5‐HTTLPR genotype did not moderate the effect of media violence on ADHD‐related behaviors. This study provides insight into the role of genetic factors in media effects.  相似文献

采用蒙特卡罗的方法模拟了铜掺杂碳膜的淀积过程。首先建立空间网格结构,通过在网格结构上随机降落原子来模拟薄膜的淀积过程。薄膜的电学特性通过解泊松方程来计算。仿真结果表明,薄膜表面的粗糙程度随着碳含量的上升而下降;含碳量为20%25%的薄膜电阻很低而含碳量在60%25%的薄膜电阻很低而含碳量在60%75%的薄膜电阻则很高。仿真结果与现有实验结果高度吻合,保证了仿真的正确性。  相似文献

利用平板电容耦合式PECVD设备淀积TiSi_2薄膜,经800℃,30分钟的扩散炉退火,TiSi_x形成稳定的TiSi_2.用俄歇电子能谱和X射线衍射来监测硅化物的形成.用扫描电子显微镜观察了TiSi_2薄膜的等离子刻蚀情况.分别采用I—V法和C—V法测量了TiSi_2/Si接触的肖特基势垒高度.利用圆形传输线模型外推法求得了TiSi_2/Si引的接触电阻率,这比同样条件下Al/Si的接触电阻率低一个数量级以上.  相似文献

随着5G通信技术的发展,射频前端器件趋向于集成化、微型化,使得薄膜体声波谐振器(FBAR)技术成为通信领域的研究热点之一。该文对FBAR谐振单元选择不同阶数的梯形级联方式,通过射频仿真软件ADS建立MBVD等效电路模型,实验仿真其性能参数输出曲线,设计出频带区间在工信部规划的5G通信频段(4.8~5.0 GHz)标准内的高频窄带滤波器。实验仿真结果表明,所设计的FBAR频带在4.849~4.987 GHz,增加FBAR单元的级联阶数可以提高带外抑制,其插入损耗很小,满足5G通信系统对滤波器的性能参数要求。  相似文献
