Infrared and FT-Raman spectra of cis-dimercaptobis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II), cis-[(PPh3)2Pt(SH)2], have been measured at high external pressures up to 55 kbar with the aid of a diamond-anvil cell (DAC). The wavenumber (v) versus pressure (P) plots from the Raman data indicate the occurrence of a pressure-induced phase transition at around 15 kbar. The metal-ligand stretching mode, v(Pt-S), and the C-H stretching mode of the phenyl rings, v(C-H), are highly sensitive to the application of pressure (dv/dP approximately 1.0 cm(-1) kbar(-1)). The IR results are generally consistent with the Raman data. The pressure-induced phase transition is most probably attributable to the reorientation of the phenyl rings in the complex; similar results have been obtained for other phenyl derivatives.  相似文献

The highly conjugated aromatic polymers, poly(2,5-dimethoxyphenylene vinylene) and poly(2,5-dimethylphenylene vinylene), were obtained from their water soluble, sulfonium salt precursor polymers. Films of these polymers were reacted with either AsF5 or I2 vapor. Poly(2,5-dimethoxyphenylene vinylene) showed increases in electrical conductivity of up to 14 to 15 orders of magnitude for these two dopants, while an 8 to 9 order of magnitude increase was observed for poly(2,5-dimethylphenylene vinylene) with the same dopants. The synthesis of the precursor polymers, the properties and elimination reactions of films of the precursors, the doping reactions, and the conductivities of the resulting phenylene vinylene films are discussed.  相似文献

Photolithographic patterning of a xanthate precursor to poly(3,4‐diphenyl‐2,5‐thienylene vinylene) is described. Unlike xanthate precursors to poly(p‐phenylene vinylene), the thienylene vinylene analogue patterns as a positive tone resist. Characterization of irradiated films reveals photooxidative cleavage of the vinylene linker decreases the molecular weight of the polymer (increasing the solubility of the UV‐exposed areas). As a result of the mechanism, the developed pattern sees no UV light exposure, which is a significant advantage compared with negative‐tone‐conjugated polymer resists. Single micron resolution of a low‐bandgap polymer is achieved in an efficient and scalable process.

The present study reports an unusual diffuse reflection Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectrum of ethane adsorbed by gallium oxide. One of the stretching C-H bands in this spectrum with a maximum at 2753 cm(-1) is more than by 100 cm(-1) shifted toward lower frequencies in comparison with gaseous ethane. In addition, the relative intensity of this band is unusually high. This indicates a very strong polarizability of the corresponding chemical bonds resulting from perturbation of ethane by the low coordinated Ga(3+) cations. The assignment of this band to the very strongly perturbed initially fully symmetric nu(1) C-H stretching vibration is confirmed by a DFT modeling of ethane adsorption by the simplest Ga(2)O(3) cluster. The obtained results also indicate heterolytic dissociative adsorption and dehydrogenation of ethane by Ga(3+) Lewis sites at elevated temperature. This is evidenced by the appearance of new IR bands from zinc alkyl fragments and acidic protons followed by decomposition of resulting zinc ethyl species. In parallel, the most intense IR band at lower frequency from the most strongly polarized C-H chemical bond decreased in intensity. The obtained results indicate that these vibrations are involved in subsequent heterolytic dissociative adsorption. The obtained results demonstrate that, similar to the shifts of C-H stretching vibrations to the low-frequency, intensities of IR C-H stretching bands can be also used as an index of chemical activation of adsorbed paraffins via their polarization by the low-coordinated cations.  相似文献

The infra-red (IR) spectroscopic data for a series of 45 homoleptic unsubstituted and substituted bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth complexes M(Pc)2 and M(Pc*)2 [M=Y, La...Lu except Pm; H2Pc=phthalocyanine; H2Pc*=2,3,9,10,16,17,24,25-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyanine (H2OOPc) and 2(3),9(10),16(17),24(25)-tetra(tert-butyl)phthalocyanine (H2TBPc)] have been collected with resolution of 2 cm(-1). The IR spectra for M(Pc)2 and M(OOPc)2 are much simpler than those of M(TBPc)2, revealing the relatively higher symmetry of the former two compounds. For M(Pc)2 the Pc-* marker band at 1312-1323 cm(-1), attributed to the pyrrole stretching, and the isoindole stretching band at 1439-1454 cm(-1) are found to be dependent on the central rare earth size, shifting slightly to the higher energy along with the decrease of rare earth radius. The frequency of the vibration at 876-887 cm(-1) is also dependent on the rare earth ionic size. The metal size-sensitivity of this band and theoretical studies render it possible to re-assign it to the coupling of isoindole deformation and aza vibration. The nature of another metal-sensitive vibration mode at 1110-1116 cm(-1), which was previously assigned to the C-H bending, is now re-assigned as an isoindole breathing mode with some small contribution also from C-H in-plane bending. These assignments are supported by comparative studies of the IR spectra of substituted bis(phthalocyaninato) analogues M(OOPc)2 and M(TBPc)2. By comparison between the IR spectra of unsubstituted and substituted bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth analogues and according to the IR characteristics of alkyl groups, some characteristic vibrational fundamentals due to the Pc rings and the substituents can be separately identified. In conclusion, all the metal size-dependent IR absorptions are composed primarily of the vibrations of pyrrole or isoindole stretching, breathing or deformation or aza stretching of the Pc ring.  相似文献

A soluble all‐aromatic poly(2,5‐diphenyl‐1,4‐phenylenevinylene) (2,5‐DP‐PPV) is synthesized by utilizing aromatic phosphonium and aldehyde monomers through Wittig reaction. The H1 NMR and FTIR measurements indicate that over 50% content of cis‐vinylene units exist in polymer backbone. The diphenyl‐substituted benzaldehyde monomer plays an important role to enhance cis‐products (Z‐selectivity) in Wittig reactions. The twisted cis‐segments in polymer backbone reduce the interchain interactions and enhance the solubility of such all‐aromatic PPV derivative in common organic solvents. 2,5‐DP‐PPV exhibits good solubility in common organic solvents, such as tetrahydrofuran and chloroform. The polymer film exhibits a blue light emission (λmax = 485 nm) and a very high photoluminescence efficiency of 78%. The cis‐trans photo isomerization of this polymer in solution and the impact on the optical properties are also investigated. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The phenyl cation 1 has been prepared by co-deposition of iodobenzene 6 or bromobenzene 7 with a microwave-induced argon plasma and characterized by IR spectroscopy in cryogenic argon matrices. The cation can clearly be identified by its strongest absorption at 3110 cm(-1) that is rapidly bleached upon visible light irradiation. This characteristic band is observed neither in the conventional photochemistry of 6 or 7 nor in discharge experiments with alkyl halides or chlorobenzene. The latter finding is in line with energetic considerations. According to density functional theory (DFT) computations, the strongest absorption of 1 is caused by a C-H stretching vibration that involves almost entirely the ortho-hydrogens. This is confirmed by isotopic labeling experiments. Co-deposition of halobenzene/N2 mixtures leads to a decrease of the 3110 cm(-1) absorption, whereas several new signals are detected in the 2200-2400 cm(-1) range of the IR spectrum. Annealing of a matrix that contains 1 and 1% N2 leads to an increase of a broad band at 2260 cm(-1) that is assigned to the benzenediazonium ion 2. A sharp signal at 2327 cm(-1) that had previously been assigned to the N-N stretching vibration of 2 is due to molecular nitrogen. The mechanism that triggers the IR activity of N2 is not yet understood. Annealing of a matrix that contains 1 and 0.5% CO leads to an increase of a broad band at 2217 cm(-1) that is considerably stronger than the 2260 cm(-1) absorption of 2. This signal is assigned to the C-O stretching vibration of the benzoyl cation 12, in excellent agreement with previous investigations of 12 in superacidic media. Some consequences of the measured frequencies with regard to bonding in 2 and 12 are discussed.  相似文献

The rheological behavior of different precursor poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (prec-PPV) monolayers at the air-water interface was investigated using an interfacial stress rheometer (ISR). This device nicely reveals a transition of the precursor poly(2,5-dimethoxy-1,4 phenylene vinylene) (prec-DMePPV) monolayer from Newtonian to elastic behavior with increasing surface pressure. The transition is accompanied by an increase in the modulus. This behavior coincides with the coagulation of different 2D condensed domains as revealed by Brewster angle microscopy (BAM). However, partly converted prec-DMePPV monolayers show elastic behavior even at low surface pressures, although a sudden increase of the moduli does occur. This phenomenon is attributed to enhanced hydrophobic interactions between the conjugated moieties in the partly converted polymers. The latter also explains the stretching behavior of the partly converted prec-DMePPV upon transfer in Langmuir-Blodgett-type vertical dipping. The increase of the moduli which is observed is much more gradual in the precursor poly(2,5-dibutoxy-1,4-phenylene vinylene), prec-DBuPPV, a monolayer which is in agreement with the expected expanded state of the latter monolayer.  相似文献

Infrared spectroscopy (IR) of formyl fluoride (HCOF) dimer is studied in low-temperature argon and krypton matrixes. New IR absorptions, ca. 17 cm(-1) blue shifted from the monomer C-H stretching fundamental, are assigned to the HCOF dimer. The MP2/6-311++G calculations were utilized to define structures and harmonic frequencies of various HCOF dimers. Among the four optimized structures, the dimer having two C-H...O hydrogen bonds possesses strongest intermolecular bonding. The calculated harmonic frequencies of this dimer structure are shifted from the monomer similarly as observed in the experiment. Thus, we suggest that the experimentally observed blue shifted C-H bands belong to the dimer with two C-H...O hydrogen bonds. This observation includes the HCOF dimer to the class of hydrogen bonded complexes showing blue shift in their vibrational energies.  相似文献

FT-Infrared (4000-400 cm(-1)) and NIR-FT-Raman (4000-50 cm(-1)) spectral measurements have been made for 2-chloro- and 2-bromo-3-pyridinecarboxaldehydes. A DFT vibration analysis at B3LYP/6-311++G (d,p) level, valence force-fields and vibrational mode calculations have been performed. Aided by very good agreement between observed and computed vibration spectra, a complete assignment of fundamental vibration modes to the observed absorptions and Raman bands has been proposed. Orientations of the aldehydic group have produced two oblate asymmetric rotamers for each molecule, ON-trans and ON-cis: the ON-trans rotamer being more stable than cis by 3.42 kcal mol(-1) for 2-chloro-3-pyridinecarboxaldehyde and 3.68 kcal mol(-1) for 2-bromo-3-pyridinecarboxaldehyde. High potential energy barrier ca 14 kcal/mol, induced by steric hindrance, restricts rotamers' population to ON-trans only. It is observed that, in the presence of bromine, C-H stretching modes are pronounced; a missing characteristic ring mode in chlorine's presence shows at 1557 cm(-1); the characteristic ring mode at 1051 cm(-1) is diminished; a mixed mode near 707 cm(-1) is enhanced. Further, an observed doublet near 1696-1666 cm(-1) in both IR and Raman spectra is explained on the basis of Fermi resonance between aldehydic carbonyl stretching at 1696 cm(-1) and a combination mode of ring stretch near 1059 cm(-1) and deformation vibration, 625 cm(-1). A strong Raman aldehydic torsional mode at 62 cm(-1) is interpreted to correspond to the dominant ON-trans over cis rotamers population.  相似文献

Raman spectral changes resulting from the solid-state 1,4-addition polymerization of conjugated diacetylenes are reported. The monomers show an intense C?C stretching frequency near 2260 cm?1, where as the polymers showed two strong bands, a C?C vibration near 2100 cm?1 and a C?C vibration near 1500 cm?1. The presence of both double and triple bonds in the polymers suggests the backbone structure (?C? C?C? C?)n. The alternate mesomeric structure (? C?C?C?C? )n can be eliminated as a possibility by the presence of the strong C?C vibration in the polymer. Sequential Raman spectra obtained during radiation-induced polymerization revealed intermediate spectral states between the initial monomer and final polymer. Intermediate-state vibrations first increase and then decrease in intensity as polymerization proceeds. However, the observed vibtrational frequencies of intermediate states were not dependent upon the extent of polymerization. Whether polymerization occurred thermally or as a result of radiation did not appear to influence the spectrum of the final polymer, but the observed number of intermediate states differed. Polymerization mechanisms, required molecular motions, and resulting structural changes are discussed.  相似文献

The IR spectra for various sizes of pyrrole clusters were measured in the NH stretching vibration region by infrared cavity ringdown spectroscopy. The hydrogen-bonded structures and normal modes of the pyrrole clusters were analyzed by a density functional theory calculation of the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level. Two types of pulsed nozzles, a slit and a large pinhole, were used to generate different cluster size distributions in a supersonic jet. A rotational contour analysis of the NH stretching vibration for the monomer revealed that the slit nozzle provides a warmer jet condition than the pinhole one. The IR spectra, measured under the warmer condition, showed the intense bands at 3444, 3392, and 3382 cm(-1), which were assigned to hydrogen-bonded NH stretching vibrations due to the dimer, the trimer, and the tetramer, respectively. On the other hand, the IR spectra measured under a lower temperature condition by a pinhole nozzle showed a broad absorption feature in addition to sharp bands. This broad absorption was reproduced by the sum of two Gaussians peaks at 3400 and 3372 cm(-1) with widths of 30 and 50 cm(-1) (FWHM), respectively. Compared with the spectra of the condensed phase, two bands at 3400 and 3372 cm(-1) were assigned to hydrogen-bonded NH stretching vibrations of larger clusters having liquid-like and solid-like structures, respectively.  相似文献

IR AND Mass Spectroscopic Studies Of Isotopically Substituted Arylborazines In the IR spectra of B-pentadeuterophenylborazines which have their highest BN-ring stretching mode near or below 1400 cm?1 a distinct coupling between this vibration and a C? C stretching mode of the C6 D5 group is observed. The mass spectra of phenyl substituted borazines contain strong peak groups of doubly charged ions if the phenyl rings are arranged coplanar to the borazine skelton. Noteworthy are ions in which such an arrangement is stabilised by exocyclic ring closure through loss of 3 radicals.  相似文献

We present the first measurement of the buried surface electronic states of the conjugated polymer poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) using two-dimensional (2D) IR-visible sum frequency generation (SFG). SFG electronic spectra were obtained by scanning the frequencies of both incident visible and IR beams and used to study the surface electronic transitions associated with the C-C stretching of benzene rings located at the backbone of MEH-PPV. Because of the surface confinement effects, the polymer conformation, and consequently the electronic states, at the film/solid interface are different from those of the bulk film. Theoretical analysis based on an oligomer model was employed to estimate the conjugation-length distributions of MEH-PPV at interfaces. Assuming a Gaussian conjugation-length distribution, it was found that the conjugation-length distribution at the MEH-PPV/solid interface was centered at 5.8 monomer units. Similar surface effects were also observed at the air/polymer interface, with a shorter average conjugation length of 5.1 monomer units.  相似文献

Poly(2-methoxyphenylene vinylene) has been synthesized by a four step reaction sequence beginning with the bromination of 2,5-dimethylanisole and proceeding to the formation of an intermediate sulfonium salt precursor polymer. The infrared and UV-visible spectra of the PPV derivative asymmetrically substituted on the phenyl ring are presented. Films of poly(2-methoxyphenylene vinylene) can be doped with iodine to give a conductivity of 1 S cm?1. Films doped with AsF5 exhibited activated charge transport behavior with room temperature conductivities of about 100 S cm?1.  相似文献

Coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy was used to visualize receptor-mediated endocytosis and intracellular trafficking with the aid of a CARS probe. The probe was made of 200-nm polystyrene particles encapsulated in folate-targeted liposomes. By tuning (omega(p) - omega(s)) to 3045 cm(-1), which corresponds to the aromatic C-H stretching vibration, the polystyrene nanoparticles with a high density of aromatic C-H bonds were detected with a high signal-to-noise ratio, while the epi-detected CARS signal from cellular organelles was cancelled by the destructive interference between the resonant contribution from the aliphatic C-H vibration and the nonresonant contribution. Without any photobleaching, the CARS probe allowed single-particle tracking analysis of intracellular endosome transport. No photodamage to cells was observed under the current experimental conditions. These results show the advantages and potential of using a CARS probe to study cellular processes.  相似文献

Vibrational spectra of methyl C-H stretching region are notoriously complicated, and thus a theoretical method of systematic assignment is strongly called for in condensed phase. Here we develop a unified analysis method of the vibrational spectra, such as infrared (IR), polarized and depolarized Raman, and ssp polarized sum frequency generation (SFG), by flexible and polarizable molecular dynamics simulation. The molecular model for methanol has been developed by charge response kernel model to allow for analyzing the methyl C-H stretching vibrations. The complicated spectral structure by the Fermi resonance has been unraveled by empirically shifting potential parameters, which provides clear information on the coupling mechanism. The analysis confirmed that for the IR, polarized Raman, and SFG spectra, two-band structure at about 2830 and 2950 cm(-1) results from the Fermi resonance splitting of the methyl C-H symmetric stretching and bending overtones. In the IR spectrum, the latter, higher-frequency band is overlapped with prominent asymmetric C-H stretching bands. In the depolarized Raman spectrum, the high frequency band at about 2980 cm(-1) is assigned to the asymmetric C-H stretching mode. In the SFG spectrum, the two bands of the splitted symmetric C-H stretching mode have negative amplitudes of imaginary nonlinear susceptibility χ(2), while the higher-frequency band is partly cancelled by positive imaginary components of asymmetric C-H stretching modes.  相似文献

A novel synthetic method for soluble precursor polymers of poly(p‐phenylene vinylene) (PPV) derivatives by the palladium‐catalyzed three‐component coupling polycondensation of aromatic diiodides, aromatic bis(boronic acid) derivatives, and norbornadiene is described. For example, the polymerization of 1,4‐diiodo‐2,5‐dioctyloxybenzene, benzene‐1,4‐bis(boronic acid propanediol ester), and norbornadiene at 100 °C for 3 days provided a polymer consisting of the three monomer units in a 97% yield (number‐average molecular weight = 3100, weight‐average molecular weight/number‐average molecular weight = 1.37). A derivative of PPV was produced smoothly by the retro Diels–Alder reaction of the polymer both in a dodecyloxybenzene solution and in a film at 200 °C in vacuo. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 在强碱条件下,单体2-(4-辛氧基苯基)-5-[4-(2,5-二溴甲基苯氧基)苯基]-1,3,4-噁二唑和二甲基二对溴甲基苯氧基硅烷发生Gilch脱卤聚合反应,成功合成了一种新型的侧链接有噁二唑的硅氧烷嵌段聚对苯乙烯撑衍生物(8),其结构经FT-IR表征。用UV-Vis,FL和DSC研究了8的光学性能和热稳定性。结果表明,8的热稳定性较单体有所改善;最大发射峰在480 nm。  相似文献
