By describing the evolution of a quantum state with the trajectories of the Majorana stars on a Bloch sphere,Majorana’s stellar representation provides an intuitive geometric perspective to comprehend the quantum system with highdimensional Hilbert space.However,the representation of a two-spin coupling system on a Bloch sphere has not been solved satisfactorily yet.Here,a practical method is presented to resolve the problem for the mixed-spin(s,1/2)system and describe the entanglement of the system.The system can be decomposed into two spins:spin-(s+1/2)and spin-(s?1/2)at the coupling bases,which can be regarded as independent spins.Besides,any pure state may be written as a superposition of two orthonormal states with one spin-(s+1/2)state and the other spin-(s?1/2)state.Thus,the whole initial state can be regarded as a state of a pseudo spin-1/2.In this way,the mixed spin decomposes into three spins.Therefore,the state can be represented by(2s+1)+(2s?1)+1=4s+1 sets of stars on a Bloch sphere.Finally,some examples are given to show symmetric patterns on the Bloch sphere and unveil the properties of the high-spin system by analyzing the trajectories of the Majorana stars on the Bloch sphere.  相似文献

通过基于矩阵乘积态(MPS)的强关联电子量子自旋梯子格点系统的张量网络(TN)算法,摸索研究自旋梯子量子多体系统的弦序参量,探测系统的量子相变点,刻画系统的量子临界现象,获取系统的量子相图,这为我们提供了一个研究自旋梯子系统的量子多体物理性质强有力的工具和方法:在不知道系统是否缺乏Landau对称性破缺序或者系统是否存在相关的拓扑弦序的情况下,可以先得到系统的基态波函数,如果基态缺乏Landau对称性破缺序,或可以通过其它方式找出系统存在若干非局域的弦序参量,来完整地描述一些拓扑量子相变点,获得系统的量子相图,从而丰富和发展了传统的Landau对称性破缺的相变理论.  相似文献

Majorana费米子是其自身的反粒子, 在拓扑量子计算中有着重要的应用. 利用粒子数表象下的量子主方程方法, 研究双量子点与Majorana费米子混合结构的电子输运特性, 特别是散粒噪声. 有无Majorana费米子耦合的电流与散粒噪声存在明显差别: 有Majorana费米子耦合时稳态电流差呈反对称, 噪声谱呈现相干振荡并且低频噪声显著增强. 量子点与Majorana费米子对称弱耦合时, 零频噪声由"峰"变为"谷", 并且"边谷"展宽逐渐减小; 当对称强耦合时, 零频噪声的谷深增加, "边谷"向高频端移动. 改变系统与电极的耦合强度时, 零频噪声由谷变成峰. 因此, 稳态电流结合散粒噪声可以探测双量子点结构中Majorana费米子是否存在.  相似文献

阻挫量子磁体中的新奇物态与效应是凝聚态物理研究的重要前沿方向,因其与高温超导、拓扑量子计算等的密切联系,近年来吸引了人们浓厚的研究兴趣。实验上,阻挫自旋液体候选材料的 新进展层出不穷,人们系统地研究了若干三角晶格、笼目晶格和六角Kitaev 阻挫磁体等材料,发 现其在一定条件下展现出自旋液体态的特征,但澄清其中的量子物态是充满挑战的量子多体问题。 作者最近的工作指出,可以从有限温度张量重正化群多体计算入手,开展热力学性质的精确计算 与分析,确定阻挫磁体的微观自旋模型,做出进一步理论预言并开展实验验证,从而建立量子磁性 系统的多体计算精确研究方案。有限温度张量重正化群方法是计算大尺寸二维阻挫量子自旋模型 有限温度性质的有力工具,在本文中作者首先介绍新近发展的系列张量重正化群方法,包括线性 和指数张量重正化群等。随后,作者讨论有限温度张量方法在三角晶格量子伊辛磁体TmMgGaO4 和六角晶格Kitaev 磁体α-RuCl3 的微观自旋模型中的具体应用:通过高精度和全面的多体计算, 揭示出其中存在演生U(1) 对称性与拓扑相变,以及高场量子自旋液体态等新颖的结论,这些理 论预言也陆续被实验所证实。通过上述实例,作者展示了有限温度张量重正化群计算方法在自旋 液体候选材料研究中的应用价值,并期待这些方法能在强关联量子物质研究中发挥重要作用。  相似文献

Using the Majorana fermion representation of spin-1/2 local moments, we show how the dynamic spin correlation and susceptibility are obtained directly from the one-particle Majorana propagator. We illustrate our method by applying it to the spin dynamics of a nonequilibrium quantum dot, computing the voltage-dependent spin relaxation rate and showing that, at weak coupling, the fluctuation-dissipation relation for the spin of a quantum dot is voltage dependent. We confirm the voltage-dependent Curie susceptibility recently found by Parcollet and Hooley [Phys. Rev. B 66, 085315 (2002)]].  相似文献

二维强关联电子量子格点系统的投影纠缠对态(PEPS)算法是数值计算领域中研究二维强关联电子量子格点系统最为重要的张量网络算法.基于PEPS算法研究二维量子XYX模型与二维量子Ising模型,本文对PEPS算法进行了一些优化和改进研究,这些优化和改进主要体现在如何进行PEPS张量的更新与如何进行物理观测量的计算这两个方面,从而可以大大提高计算资源的利用.因而优化和改进后的PEPS算法可为研究热力学极限下的二维强关联电子量子格点系统的量子相变和量子临界现象提供一种更有效的强大的工具.  相似文献

We present a pedogogical review of Majorana masses and Majorana's theory of two-component massive fermions. We discuss the difference between Majorana and Dirac masses and show that Majorana masses are formion-number violating. We discuss the connection between Majorana and, Weyl spinors and show that the massive Majorana and Weyl field theories are equivalent. It has been shown that a quantum state could be perfectly transferred via a spin chain with engineered ``always-on interaction". In this paper, we study a more realistic problem for such a quantum state transfer (QST) protocol, how the efficacy of QST is reduced by the quantum decoherence induced by a spatially distributed environment. Here, the environment is universally modeled as a bath of fermions located in different positions. By making use of the irreducible tensor method in angular momentum theory, we investigate the effect of environment on the efficiency of QST for both cases at zero and finite temperatures. We not onlyshow the generic exponential decay of QST efficiency as the number of sites increase, but also find some counterintuitive effect, the QST can be enhanced as temperature increases in some cases.  相似文献

The Majorana representation, which represents a quantum state by stars on the Bloch sphere, provides us an intuitive tool to study the quantum evolution in high dimensional Hilbert space. In this work, we investigate the second quantized model and the mean-field model for the interacting-boson system in the Majorana representation. It is shown that the motions of states in the two models are same in the linear case. Furthermore, the contribution of the nonlinear interaction to the star motions in the second quantized model can be expressed by a single star part which is equal to the nonlinear part of the equation for the star in mean-field model under large boson number limit and an extra part caused by the correlation between stars. These differences and relations can not only be reflected by the population differences between the two boson modes in the two models, but also lie with the differences between the continuous changes of the second quantized evolution with the nonlinear interacting strength and the critical behavior of the mean-field evolution which related to the self-trapping effect. The reason of the difference between the two models is also discussed by an effective Hamiltonian.  相似文献

Majorana零能量模式是自身的反粒子,在拓扑量子计算中有重要应用.本文研究量子点与拓扑超导纳米线混合结构,通过量子点的输运电荷检测Majorana零模式.利用量子主方程方法,发现有无Majorana零模式的电流与散粒噪声存在明显差别.零模式导致稳态电流差呈反对称,在零偏压处显示反常电导峰.电流差随零模式分裂能的增大而减小,随量子点与零模式耦合的增强而增大.另一方面,零模式导致低压散粒噪声相干振荡,零频噪声显著增强.分裂能导致相干振荡愈加明显且零频噪声减小,而量子点与零模式的耦合使零频噪声增强.当量子点与电极非对称耦合时,零模式使电子由反聚束到聚束输运,亚泊松噪声增强为超泊松噪声.稳态电流差结合低压振荡的散粒噪声能够揭示Majorana零模式是否存在.  相似文献

We study the possibility to realize a Majorana zero mode that is robust and may be easily manipulated for braiding in quantum computing in the ground state of the Kitaev model in this work. To achieve this we first apply a uniform [111] magnetic field to the gapless Kitaev model and turn the Kitaev model to an effective p+ip topological superconductor of spinons. We then study possible vortex binding in such system to a topologically trivial spot in the ground state. We consider two cases in the system: one is a vacancy and the other is a fully polarized spin. We show that in both cases, the system binds a vortex with the defect and a robust Majorana zero mode in the ground state at a weak uniform [111] magnetic field. The distribution and asymptotic behavior of these Majorana zero modes are studied. The Majorana zero modes in both cases decay exponentially in space, and are robust against local perturbations and other Majorana zero modes far away, which makes them promising candidates for braiding in topological quantum computing.  相似文献

The Dirac equation is solved to obtain its approximate bound states for a spin-1/2 particle in the presence of trigonometric Pschl-Teller(tPT) potential including a Coulomb-like tensor interaction with arbitrary spin-orbit quantum number κ using an approximation scheme to substitute the centrifugal terms κ(κ± 1)r-2.In view of spin and pseudo-spin(p-spin) symmetries,the relativistic energy eigenvalues and the corresponding two-component wave functions of a particle moving in the field of attractive and repulsive tPT potentials are obtained using the asymptotic iteration method(AIM).We present numerical results in the absence and presence of tensor coupling A and for various values of spin and p-spin constants and quantum numbers n and κ.The non-relativistic limit is also obtained.  相似文献

A quantum ring coupled to a 1D topological superconductor hosting Majorana bound states (MBSs) is investigated. The MBSs effects over the spectrum and persistent current along the quantum ring are studied. The spectra of the system are obtained by an exact numerical diagonalization of the Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian in the Majorana representation. In addition, Green's function formalism is implemented for analytical calculations and obtained a switching condition in the MBSs fermionic parity. Three different patterns that could be obtained for the spatial separation of the MBSs, named: bowtie, diamond, and asymmetric, are reported here, which are present only in odd parity in the quantum ring, while only a single pattern (bowtie) is obtained for even parity. Those patterns are subject strictly to the switching condition for the MBSs. Besides, quantum ring with the presence of a Majorana zero mode presents gapped/gapless spectra in odd/even parity showing in the even case a subtle signature in the persistent current.  相似文献

We propose a method to coherently transfer quantum information, and to create entanglement, between topological qubits and conventional spin qubits. Our suggestion uses gated control to transfer an electron (spin qubit) between a quantum dot and edge Majorana modes in adjacent topological superconductors. Because of the spin polarization of the Majorana modes, the electron transfer translates spin superposition states into superposition states of the Majorana system, and vice versa. Furthermore, we show how a topological superconductor can be used to facilitate long-distance quantum information transfer and entanglement between spatially separated spin qubits.  相似文献

In the Majorana representation of a spin 1/2 we find an identity which relates spin-spin correlators to one-particle fermionic correlators. This should be contrasted with the straightforward approach in which two-particle (four-fermion) correlators need to be calculated. We discuss applications to the analysis of the dynamics of a spin coupled to a dissipative environment and of a quantum detector performing a continuous measurement of a qubit's state.  相似文献

We show how a compound system of two entangled qubits in a non-product state can be described in a complete way by extracting entanglement into an internal constraint between the two qubits. By making use of a sphere model representation for the spin 1/2, we derive a geometric model for entanglement. We illustrate our approach on 2-qubit algorithms proposed by Deutsch, respectively Arvind. One of the advantages of the 2-qubit case is that it allows for a nice geometrical representation of entanglement, which contributes to a more intuitive grasp of what is going on in a 2-qubit quantum computation.  相似文献

The quantum fluctuations of the stress tensor of a quantum field are discussed, as are the resulting space-time metric fluctuations. Passive quantum gravity is an approximation in which gravity is not directly quantized, but fluctuations of the space-time geometry are driven by stress tensor fluctuations. We discuss a decomposition of the stress tensor correlation function into three parts, and consider the physical implications of each part. The operational significance of metric fluctuations and the possible limits of validity of semiclassical gravity are discussed.  相似文献
