对基于高温超导量子干涉仪的低场核磁共振成像进行了较为系统的探索.首先对低场核磁共振系统进行了改进和完善,使得装置能够用于成像实验.在此基础上进行了一维、二维成像实验并取得了成功.二维成像分别采用了直接背投影成像法和傅里叶变换重建法.采用直接背投影方法成功获得了不同水样品分布的图形并与实物符合较好,同时还尝试对生物样品如青椒和芹菜的切片进行了成像,也得到了符合原物的二维投影像.尝试用傅里叶变换法对水样品进行成像,得到的图形能够显示样品轮廓,但信噪比偏低.对两种二维成像方法进行了比较和讨论.  相似文献

The two-dimensional FT Imaging of 13C-glucose obtained with twin spin-echo double resonance sequence is presented. The images have been obtained by a doubly tuned surface coil on samples containing water and 13C-enriched glucose in water. It is shown, both theoretically and experimentally, that the whole editing capability of the twin spin-echo double resonance imaging sequence is also preserved in the presence of the radiofrequency field inhomogeneity produced by the surface coil. As in an efficient selective irradiation method, the enhancement in the signal-to-noise ratio with respect to the direct 13C detection, depends on the number of protons J-coupled to 13C.  相似文献

New investigations in MRI of a mouse heart showed high-contrast cardiac images and thereby the possibility of doing functional cardiac studies of in vivo mice. But is MRI, in addition, capable of visualizing microstructures such as the coronary arteries and the heart valves of a living mouse? To answer this question, 2D and 3D gradient echo sequences with and without flow compensation were used to image the coronary arteries. To increase signal-to-noise ratio, a birdcage resonator was optimized for mouse heart imaging. Contrast between blood and myocardium was achieved through the inflow effect. A segmented three-dimensional FLASH sequence acquired with a multiple overlap thin slab technique showed the best results. With this technique an isotropic resolution of 100 microm was achieved. The left coronary artery could be visualized up to the apex of the heart. This is demonstrated with short axis views and 3D surface reconstructions of the mouse heart. The four cardiac valves were also visible with the 3D method.  相似文献

The basic concepts necessary to understand the physical basis of NMR imaging are presented in this didactic article. It is intended as a starting point for the radiologist or medical physicist who is addressing the topic of NMR for the first time. The basis of the NMR phenomena is described with introduction of the concepts of magnetic moment, magnetic fields, magnetic resonance, net magnetic moment of a sample, NMR excitation and NMR emission. The equipment necessary to observe these NMR properties of matter is summarized as well as the procedures for basic pulsed NMR experiments. The physical concepts for spatial localization of NMR emissions are introduced with physical analogies to stringed musical instruments. Several alternative imaging modalities are compared with greatest emphasis on the inversion recovery technique which yields images weighted by tissue T1 values. The six subsystems of an NMR imaging device (primary magnet, computer, radio equipment, magnetic gradient, data storage and display subsystems) are described in an overview fashion. The paper is followed by a series of study questions to test the reader's comprehension of basic NMR imaging concepts.  相似文献

Significant high magnetic gradient field strength is essential to obtaining high-resolution images in a benchtop mag- netic resonance imaging (BT-MRI) system with permanent magnet. Extending minimum wire spacing and maximum wire width of gradient coils is one of the key solutions to minimize the maximum current density so as to reduce the local heating and generate higher magnetic field gradient strength. However, maximum current density is hard to optimize together with field linearity, stored magnetic energy, and power dissipation by the traditional target field method. In this paper, a new multi-objective method is proposed to optimize the maximum current density, field linearity, stored magnetic energy, and power dissipation in MRI gradient coils. The simulation and experimental results show that the minimum wire spacings are improved by 159% and 62% for the transverse and longitudinal gradient coil respectively. The maximum wire width increases from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. Maximum gradient field strengths of 157 mT/m and 405 mT/m for transverse and lon- gitudinal coil are achieved, respectively. The experimental results in BT-MRI instrument demonstrate that the MRI images with in-plane resolution of 50 ~tm can be obtained by using the designed coils.  相似文献

The effect of superparamagnetic iron oxide particles on magnetic resonance myocardial signal intensity was examined in order to define the ability of this agent to identify normal, ischemic, and reperfused myocardium. Data were obtained from 6 normal rats (group 1) and from 6 heterotopic isogenic rat heart transplants (group 2) at 4.7 T with a multislice spin-echo sequence. Images were acquired in (a) normal rats before and after the infusion of 36 μmol Fe/kg of AMI-25 (group 1) and (b) rat heart transplants during control, global myocardial ischemia (before and after the injection of 72 μmol Fe/kg of AMI-25), and following reperfusion (group 2). Myocardial signal intensity decreased by 36 ± 4%, p < 0.001, following contrast infusion in normal hearts (group 1). The intensity remained constant in the rat heart transplants (group 2) during coronary occlusion, both before and after the infusion of AMI-25 and decreased by 61 ± 7%, p < 0.001, upon reperfusion. The larger effect of AMI-25 in reperfused as compared to normal myocardium suggests the presence of ischemia-induced hyperemia. There was no significant difference (analysis of variance) among intensities from different myocardial regions in either group at any stage of the experiment. We conclude that the use of AMI-25 permits identification of normal, ischemic, and reperfused myocardium and may therefore be helpful for the early detection of reperfusion following thrombolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction.  相似文献

Implementation of the 1H magnetic resonance single-point imaging technique has provided new opportunities for the direct imaging of rigid solids, particularly semicrystalline polymers with spin-spin relaxation times, T*2, of the order of 10 μs and greater. Diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) has been mostly acquired using single-shot echo-planar imaging (ss EPI) to minimize motion induced artifacts. The spatial resolution, however, is inherently limited in ss EPI especially for abdominal imaging, even with the advances in parallel imaging. A novel method of reduced Field of View ss EPI (rFOV ss EPI) has achieved high resolution DWI in human carotid artery, spinal cord with reduced blurring and higher spatial resolution than conventional ss EPI, but it has not been used to pancreas imaging. In the work, comparisons between the full FOV ss-DW EPI and rFOV ss-DW EPI in image qualities and ADC values of pancreatic tumors and normal pancreatic tissues were performed to demonstrate the feasibility of pancreatic high resolution rFOV DWI. There were no significant differences in the mean ADC values between full FOV DWI and rFOV DWI for the 17 subjects using b = 600 s/mm2 (P = 0.962). However, subjective scores of image quality was significantly higher at rFOV ss DWI (P = 0.008 and 0.000 for b-value = 0 s/mm2 and 600 s/mm2 respectively). The spatial resolution of DWI for pancreas was increased by a factor of over 2.0 (from almost 3.0 mm/pixel to 1.25 mm/pixel) using rFOV ss EPI technique. Reduced FOV ss EPI can provide good DW images and is promising to benefit applications for pancreatic diseases.  相似文献

1H Magnetic resonance imaging and 31P magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) have been carried out in experimental rodent filariasis, i.e., Acanthocheilonema viteae infection in the rodent host, Mastomys coucha. The T2-weighted image of the infected host shows fine hyperintense thread like structures of adult filariid nests in the cervical region. 31P MRS of normal and infected hosts, localized over the same region of interest, show seven major peaks corresponding to phosphomonoesters (including glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-6-phosphate, fructose-1-6-diphosphate, phosphorylcholine, and adenine monophosphate or AMP), inorganic phosphate, glycerophosphorylcholine, phosphoenolpyruvate, phosphocreatine and nucleoside di- and tri-phosphates. Concentrations of phosphomonoesters (PMEs) are higher in the normal rodent compared with the infected ones. In vivo 31P MRS provides a non-invasive assessment of tissue bioenergetics and phospholipid metabolism.  相似文献

The approach of expanding the magnetic scalar potential in a series of Legendre polynomials is suitable for designing a conventional superconducting magnetic resonance imaging magnet of distributed solenoidal configuration. Whereas the approach of expanding the magnetic vector potential in associated Legendre harmonics is suitable for designing a single-solenoid magnet that has multiple tiers, in which each tier may have multiple layers with different winding lengths. A set of three equations to suppress some of the lowest higher-order harmonics is found. As an example, a 4T single-solenoid magnetic resonance imaging magnet with 4×6 layers of superconducting wires is designed. The degree of homogeneity in the 0.5m diameter sphere volume is better than 5.8 ppm. The same degree of homogeneity is retained after optimal integralization of turns in each correction layer. The ratio Bm/B0 in the single-solenoid magnet is 30% lower than that in the conventional six-solenoid magnet. This tolerates higher rated superconducting current in the coil. The Lorentz force of the coil in the single-solenoid system is also much lower than in the six-solenoid system. This novel type of magnet possesses significant advantage over conventional magnets, especially when used as a super-high field functional magnetic resonance imaging magnet.  相似文献

磁共振扩散张量成像可以定量无创研究人体内水分子在三维空间中的各向异性扩散规律,进而获取重要的病理及生理信息.为了得到水分子各向异性扩散信息,需要按照一定的方案依次施加不同方向的扩散敏感梯度磁场,测量水分子在这些方向上的扩散系数用以估算扩散张量.扩散张量成像测量结果的准确程度受梯度磁场方向分布方案的影响,本文对扩散敏感梯度磁场方向分布方案进行综述,包括完全随机方案、启发式方案、规则多面体式方案和数值优化方案等,分析这些方案的优势与局限性,并提出需进一步研究的问题.  相似文献

A magnetic resonance imaging method is described for measuring the magnetic susceptibility difference between two homogeneous macroscopic compartments in contact with each other. A boundary condition is derived for the interface of the two compartments. This boundary condition predicts that across the interface there is a resonant frequency jump, which is a function of interfacial orientation relative to B0 field and the difference in susceptibility of the two sides. Based on this relationship, the magnetic susceptibility difference between two materials can be obtained from MR gradient echo imaging using signals from both sides in the vicinity of the boundary. This method is demonstrated by solution phantom experiments.  相似文献
