The measurement of QI frequencies at100Rh in Zr and Gd reveal that the electronic contribution to the EFG is quite large. The value of ¦K¦ is 8 for100RhZr whereas it is 45 for100RhGd. The temperature variation of100RhZr neither follows T1.5 nor has a linear T dependence.  相似文献

The magnetostriction constant of three iron-nickel alloys and one Fe-Ni-Co alloy was measured as a function of the plastic elongation up to about 25%. The magnetostriction constant decreases with deformation in all materials. In Fe-Ni-Co alloy the volume magnetostriction also decreases. The influence of crystallographic texture is discussed and it is shown that it is not a decisive factor. The observed decrease is explained by assuming the influence of lattice deformation on spin-orbital interaction.

The magnetic hyperfine field was measured at 111In(111Cd) probe atoms in ultrathin Ni films epitaxially grown on Cu(100) utilizing the perturbed -angular correlation (PAC) method. The behaviour of the hyperfine field as a function of temperature was studied for different film thicknesses ranging from 2 up to 10 monolayers. It was found that the strength of the hyperfine fields as well as the critical temperatures are strongly reduced for thin nickel films and approach the bulk value with increasing film thickness. The orientation of the hyperfine field is discussed.  相似文献

This work presents a study on the dependence of mean slow particle multiplicity (Nh) on the mass numberA of the target nucleus for a wide range of target mass and energy. It has been shown that this dependence can be best expressed by the relation N h= 0.57A0.61.The author would like to express his indebtedness to Prof. A. Herz (CERN), Prof. K. D. Tolostov (JINR), Prof. R. Wilkes (University of Washington) for kindly supplying the exposed emulsion plates.  相似文献

An expression for the decay rate (0 ) has been derived in the frameworkof the spinor strong interaction theory, a first-principles strong interaction theoryproposed some years ago as an alternative to low-energy QCD. The startingpoint is the SO(3) gauge-invariant action for two quark mesons which has beensuccessful in accounting for confinement, + + , e+, and 0 e+, nonexistenceof the Higgs boson, and other low-energy mesonic phenomena. The quasi-four-quarkmeson equations developed for the decay of a vector meson into twopseudoscalar mesons V PP has been taken over here to apply to P(0) VV(+ ) (plus + and which annihilate each other). This mechanismin principle agrees with that of the assumption of vector meson dominance inthe literature. It, together with the effect of form factors, arises naturally in theformalism and need not be assumed. Equations for the perturbed vector mesonwave functions cannot be simply solved and an assumption has been made toobtain an estimate of their magnitude. Together with a constant associated withthe strong coupling obtained earlier from V() PP(K+K), the estimated decayrate is 19.2 eV, in order-of-magnitude agreement with data (7.74 eV).  相似文献

The k theory is compared with the multilinear theory of scalar fields 1, 2, ..., k having the same mass as that of . In particular, it is shown that Feynman integrals encountered in the 3 theory are not necessarily present also in the 1 2 3 theory, but they are if they correspond to planar Feynman graphs having no tadpole part. Furthermore, a necessary and sufficient condition for the presence of a 3 Feynman integral in the 1 2 2 theory is found. Those considerations are applications of graph theory, especially of the coloring problem of graphs, to Feynman graphs.  相似文献

We motivate the definition of the Einstein 3-form G by means of the contracted 2nd Bianchi identity. This definition contains the whole curvature 2-form. The L 1-form, defined via G = L *( ) ( is the Hodge-star, the coframe), is equivalent to the Einstein 3-form and contains all the information of the curvature 2-form relevant for the definition of the Einstein 3-form. A variational formula of Salgado on quadratic invariants of the L 1-form is discussed, generalized, and put into proper perspective.  相似文献

We consider an anharmonic crystal described by variablesS x ,x d ,S x , with one-body interaction ¦S x ¦ and nearest neighbor (n.n.) two body interaction ¦S x –S y ¦. We consider vector-tensor minimally coupled Lagrangians, i.e., scalar densities of the form = g 1/2 R +L(g ij ; i ; i,j ). We prove that the gauge invariance of any of the sets of Euler-Lagrange expressions implies the gauge invariance of the Lagrangian itself forn even, and an almost gauge invariance forn odd. We also find those for whichE i () = 0 orE ij (L) = 0, generalizing well-known results by Lovelock and a result by the authors.  相似文献

It is shown that aD-component Euclidean quantum field, =(1,...,D), with ||4+|2| interaction, can be obtained as a limit of (ferromagnetic) classical rotator models; this extends a result of Simon and Griffiths from the caseD=1. For these Euclidean field models, it is then shown that a Lee-Yang theorem applies forD=2 or 3 and that Griffiths' second inequality is valid forD=2; a complete proof is included of a Lee-Yang theorem for plane rotator and classical Heisenberg models. As an application of Griffiths' second inequality forD=2, an interesting relation between the parallel and transverse two-point correlations is obtained.Research supported in part by the National Science Foundation under grant NSF MPS 74-04870.  相似文献

We develop a gauge theory of gravity on the basis of the principal fiber bundle over the four-dimensional space-timeM with the covering group 0 of the proper orthochronous Poincaré group. The field components are constructed with the connection coefficients , and with a Higgs-type field. A Lorentz metricg is introduced with , which are then identified with the components of duals of the Vierbein fields. Associated with there is a spinor structure onM. For Lagrangian densityL, which is a function of , ,, matter field , and oftheir first derivatives, we give the conditions imposed by the requirement of the gauge invariance. The Lagrangian densityL is restricted to be of the formL =L tot (, T klm ,R klmn , k , ), in whichT klm ,R klmn are the field strengths of , , respectively. Identities and conservation laws following from the gauge invariance are given. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the energy momentum conservation law follows from theinternal translational invariance. The field equation of is automatically satisfied, if those of and of are both satisfied. The possible existence of matter fields with intrinsic energy momentum is pointed out. When is a field with vanishing intrinsic energy momentum, the present theory practically agrees with the conventional Poincaré gauge theory of gravity, except for the seemingly trivial terms in the expression of the spin-angular momentum density. A condition leading to a Riemann-Cartan space-time is given. The field holds a key position in the formulation.  相似文献

In this paper we concern ourselves with the small asymptotics of the inner products of the eigenfunctions of a Schrödinger-type operator with a coherent state. More precisely, let j and E j denote the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of a Schrödinger-type operator H with discrete spectrum. Let (x,) be a coherent state centered at the point (x, ) in phase space. We estimate as 0 the averages of the squares of the inner products ( a (x,) , j ) over an energy interval of size around a fixed energy, E. This follows from asymptotic expansions of the form for certain test function and Schwartz amplitudes a of the coherent state. We compute the leading coefficient in the expansion, which depends on whether the classical trajectory through (x, ) is periodic or not. In the periodic case the iterates of the trajectory contribute to the leading coefficient. We also discuss the case of the Laplacian on a compact Riemannian manifold.Research supported in part by NSF grant DMS-9303778  相似文献

NMR-ON measurements were performed on131mXe (I=11/2; T1/2=12.0 d) in Fe, the sample being prepared by recoil implantation after the130Te(,3n)131mXe compound reaction at E=40 Mev. The hyperfine splitting NBHF/h¦, extrapolated to zero external magnetic field, was found to be 209.9(1) MHz. Taking BHF=+1523(8) kG for the hyperfine field of XeFe, the magnetic moment of131mXe is deduced to be (–)0.994(5) N. As a byproduct, the zero-field hyperfine splitting of129mXe (I=11/2; T1/2=8.9d) in Fe was measured as 188.1(1) MHz, with which a magnetic moment of (–)0.891(5) N is deduced for129mXe.  相似文献

It is shown that the equation ,11 — ,22 = e — e-2 determines the intrinsic geometry of the two-dimensional affine sphere in the three-dimensional unimodular affine space like the sine-Gordon equation describes the metric on the surface of a constant negative curvature in the three-dimensional Euclidean space. The linear equations that determine the moving frame on the affine sphere are the Lax operators to the equation ,11 — ,22 = e — e-2.  相似文献

We consider the problem of finding the quantum mechanical phase associated with the propagation of a particle in a given external gravitational field, and conclude that it ism ds. In weak fieldsh this allows us to calculate the gravitationally induced phase on a freely traveling particle as 1/2 h P dx whereP is the ordinary momentum. This formula has the expected Newtonian limit and is then used to calculate effects in matter wave interferometry such as those due to gravity waves and the dragging of the ether frame by rotating bodies. Light wave interferometry is then considered and is shown to be also described by 1/2 h K dx , whereK is the wave vector of the light, and the integral is along the path of the ray. Matter and light wave interferometry are compared in various cases.A preliminary version of this work was presented at the Grenoble Workshop on Neutron Interferometry, June 1978.  相似文献

The exact analytic result is obtained for the Fourier transform of the generating functionF(R,s)= n=0 s n P(R,n), whereP(R,n) is the probability density for the end-to-end distanceR inn steps of a random walk with persistence. The moments R 2(n), R 4(n), and R 6(n) are calculated and approximate results forP(R,n) and R –1(n) are given.  相似文献

Our results include the fact that if 1=0 on a set positive measure, thenV is deterministic and one that says that {E|exactly 2j 's are zero} is the essential support of the a.c. spectrum of multiplicity 2j.Research partially supported by USNSF under grant DMS-8416049  相似文献

We use the reference interaction site model (RISM) integral equation theory to study the percolation behavior of fluids composed of long molecules. We examine the roles of hard core size and of length-to-width ratio on the percolation threshold. The critical density c is a nonmonotonic function of these parameters exhibiting competition of different effects. Comparisons with Monte Carlo calculations of others are reasonably good. For critical exponents, the theory yields =2=2 for molecules of any noninfinite lengthL. WhenL is very large, the theory yields cL –2. These predictions compare favorably with observations of the conductivity for random assemblies of conductive fibers. The threshold region where asymptotic scaling holds requires the correlation length (/ c ) –v to be much larger thanL. Evidently, the range of densities in this region diminishes asL increases, requiring that density deviations from c be no larger thanL –2. Otherwise, crossover behavior will be observed.  相似文献

The results of NMR/ON measurements on56'57'60Co isotopes in iron are presented. To avoid the uncertainties caused by local demagnetizing field inhomogenities the measurements on two cobalt isotopes in one sample have been carried out. The values of nuclear-factor ratios 57/ 60 = 1.805 (20), 60/ 56 = 0.761 (20), 56/ 57 = 0.726 (20) and hyperfine anomalies5660 = -0.036 (10),60 57 = 0.017 (10) and5756 = 0.018 (10) have been calculated from the experimental results.  相似文献
