We investigate the dynamics of a quantum system coupled linearly to Gaussian white noise using functional methods. By performing the integration over the noisy field in the evolution operator, we get an equivalent non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, which evolves the quantum state with a dissipative dynamics. We also show that if the integration over the noisy field is done for the time evolution of the density matrix, a gain contribution from the fluctuations can be accessed in addition to the loss one from the non-hermitian Hamiltonian dynamics. We illustrate our study by computing analytically the effective non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, which we found to be the complex frequency harmonic oscillator, with a known evolution operator. It leads to space and time localisation, a common feature of noisy quantum systems in general applications.  相似文献

We study the non-Markovian dynamics of an open quantum system with machine learning. The observable physical quantities and their evolutions are generated by using the neural network. After the pre-training is completed,we fix the weights in the subsequent processes thus do not need the further gradient feedback. We find that the dynamical properties of physical quantities obtained by the dynamical learning are better than those obtained by the learning of Hamiltonian and time evolution operator. The dynamical learning can be applied to other quantum many-body systems,non-equilibrium statistics and random processes.  相似文献

The dynamics of open quantum systems is formulated in terms of a probability distribution on the underlying Hilbert space. Defining the time-evolution of this probability distribution by means of a Liouvillemaster equation the time-dependent wave function of the system becomes a stochastic Markov process in the sense of classical probability theory. It is shown that the equation of motion for the two-point correlation function of the random wave function yields the quantum master equation for the statistical operator. Stochastic simulations of the Liouville-master equation are performed for a simple example from quantum optics and are shown to be in perfect agreement with the analytical solution of the corresponding equation for the statistical operator.  相似文献

The paper reexamines the treatment of irreversible quantum systems by master equations. Shortcomings of the conventional theory of quantum Markov processes pointed out by Talkner are analyzed. It is shown that a frequently used quantum regression hypothesis is not correct, in general. A new generalized master equation determining the relaxation to equilibrium is derived by means of time-dependent projection operator techniques. It is shown that this master equation also determines the time evolution of equilibrium correlations and response functions. The Markovian approximation is discussed, and a new type of Markovian limit, the Brownian motion limit, is introduced besides the weak coupling limit. The shortcomings of the conventional approach are resolved by deriving new formulae for the time evolution of the correlation and response functions of a quantum Markov process. The symmetries of the process are emphasized, and it is shown how the fluctuation-dissipation theorem and the detailed balance symmetry emerge from the master equation approach.  相似文献

The non-Markovian dynamics of a three-level quantum system coupled to a bosonic environment is a difficult problem due to the lack of an exact dynamic equation such as a master equation. We present for the first time an exact quantum trajectory approach to a dissipative three-level model. We have established a convolutionless stochastic Schr?dinger equation called the time-local quantum state diffusion (QSD) equation without any approximations, in particular, without Markov approximation. Our exact time-local QSD equation opens a new avenue for exploring quantum dynamics for a higher dimensional quantum system coupled to a non-Markovian environment.  相似文献

The Hamiltonian dynamics of slow variables coupled to fast degrees of freedom is modeled by an effective stochastic differential equation. Formal perturbation expansions, involving a Markov approximation, yield a Fokker-Planck equation in the slow subspace which respects conservation of energy. A detailed numerical and analytical analysis of suitable model systems demonstrates the feasibility of obtaining the system specific drift and diffusion terms and the accuracy of the stochastic approximation on all time scales. Non-Markovian and non-Gaussian features of the fast variables are negligible.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive the Lindblad and Redfield forms of the master equation based on the Born–Markov master equation with and without the secular approximation for open multi-level quantum systems. The coefficients of the equations are re-evaluated according to the scheme in[(2019), Phys. Rev. A 99, 022118]. They are complex numbers rather than the real numbers obtained from traditional simplified methods. The dynamics of two models(one is an open threelevel quantum system model, and the other is the model of phycoerythrin 545(PE545) in a photosynthesis system) are studied. It is shown that the secular approximation and the simplified real coefficients may cause a small distortion of the dynamics in some environments, but a large distortion of the dynamics in others. These effects are discussed and characterized by studying the dynamics of nontrivial instances of multi-level systems in the presence of dissipation.  相似文献

We show that a dissipative current component is present in the dynamics generated by a Liouville-master equation, in addition to the usual component associated with Hamiltonian evolution. The dissipative component originates from coarse graining in time, implicit in a master equation, and needs to be included to preserve current continuity. We derive an explicit expression for the dissipative current in the context of the Markov approximation. Finally, we illustrate our approach with a simple numerical example, in which a quantum particle is coupled to a harmonic phonon bath and dissipation is described by the Pauli master equation.  相似文献

A quantum stochastic model for the Markovian dynamics of an open system under the nondemolition unsharp observation which is continuous in time, is given. A stochastic equation for the posterior evolution of a quantum continuously observed system is derived and the spontaneous collapse (stochastically continuous reduction of the wave packet) is described. The quantum Langevin evolution equation is solved for the case of a quasi-free Hamiltonian in the initial CCR algebra with a linear output channel, and the posterior dynamics corresponding to an initial Gaussian state is found. It is shown for an example of the posterior dynamics of a quantum oscillator that any mixed state under a complete nondemolition measurement collapses exponentially to a pure Gaussian one.  相似文献

Recently increasing interests are attracted in the physics of controlled arrays of nonlinear cavity resonators because of the rapid experimental progress achieved in cavity and circuit quantum electrodynamics (QED). For a driven-dissipative two-dimentional planar C-QED array, standard Markov master equation is generally used to study the dynamics of this system. However, when in the case that the on-site photon-photon interaction enters strong correlation regime, standard Markov master equation may lead to incorrect results. In this paper we study the non-equilibrium dynamics of a two-dimentional C-QED array, which is homogeneously pumped by an external pulse, at the same time dissipation exits. We study the evolution of the average photon number of a single cavity by deriving a modified master equation to. In comparison with the standard master equation, the numerical result obtained by our newly derived master equation shows significant difference for the non-equilibrium dynamics of the system.  相似文献

We set up an effective Hamiltonian for an optical parametric oscillator. It contains the Bose operators of the three modes, signal, idler, and pump and their coupling to heat baths. This Hamiltonian is shown to be equivalent to a set of equations of motion, derived in a previous paper (I) from a microscopically exact Hamiltonian, provided that the heat baths are chosen in an adequate way. The comparison with the laser Hamiltonian makes clear the close analogy of the underlying elementary processes of spontaneous emission from atoms and spontaneous parametric emission from light modes in nonlinear media. The Hamiltonian is used to derive a master equation for the statistical operator of the three-mode system. In the coherent state representation this master equation transforms into an equivalentc-number Fokker-Planck equation without any approximation. The solution is obtained below threshold by linearization and above threshold by quasilinearization of the nonlinear dissipation coefficients. The results agree with those which were obtained by quantum mechanical Langevin methods in a previous paper (I).  相似文献

A model of an open relaxing system of scalar bosons with one state and random interaction, described by a system of linking equations for the moments, is considered in a Markov approximation. It is shown that in the self-consistent field limit the equations for the first moments are equations of the characteristics with respect to the equation for the generating functions of the system. They can be understood as the scalar analog of a quasilinear Schrödinger equation with a purely imaginary Hamiltonian describing non-Hamiltonian dynamics of an open system of randomly interacting quantum particles. By virtue of the assumption made about the nature of the interaction, the equations of the characteristics obtained differ from those presented earlier, where the means are solutions of linearized relaxation equations.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 10, pp. 89–92, October, 1988.In conclusion, I am grateful to V. Under the Markov approximation, the quantum dynamics of cooled atoms in the presence of Bose-Einstein condensates is studied.A master equation governing the evolution of such a system is derved.Using this master equation, the distribution of the atoms in the excited states at finite temperature and the dynamics of the excited atom at zero temperature are given and discussed.  相似文献

We consider gapped systems governed by either quantum or Markov dynamics, with the low-lying states below the gap being approximately degenerate. For a broad class of dynamics, we prove that ground or stationary state correlation functions can be written as a piece decaying exponentially in space plus a term set by matrix elements between the low-lying states. The key to the proof is a local approximation to the negative energy, or annihilation, part of an operator in a gapped system. Applications to numerical simulation of quantum systems and to networks are discussed.  相似文献

This Letter studies composite quantum systems, like atom-cavity systems and coupled optical resonators, in the absence of external driving by resorting to methods from quantum field theory. Going beyond the rotating wave approximation, it is shown that the usually neglected counter-rotating part of the Hamiltonian relates to the entropy operator and generates an irreversible time evolution. The vacuum state of the system is shown to evolve into a generalized coherent state exhibiting entanglement of the modes in which the counter-rotating terms are expressed. Possible consequences at observational level in quantum optics experiments are currently under study.  相似文献

We find that laser process can be equivalently described by a symplectic evolution in the context of thermo field dynamics, and the corresponding coherent state evolution for the corresponding master equation is recognized. More interestingly, this embodies a new application of non-Hermitian Hamiltonian operator which can well expose the entanglement between the system and its environment.  相似文献

A time-dependent current-density-functional theory for many-particle systems in interaction with arbitrary external baths is developed. We prove that, given the initial quantum state |Psi0> and the particle-bath interaction operator, two external vector potentials A(r,t) and A'(r,t) that produce the same ensemble-averaged current density, j(r,t), must necessarily coincide up to a gauge transformation. This result greatly expands the applicability of time-dependent density-functional theory to open quantum systems, and allows for first-principles calculations of many-particle time evolution beyond Hamiltonian dynamics.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive the quantum Langevin equation for a driven Brownian inverted oscillator in the framework of the Heisenberg picture for the Caldeira-Leggett model. We describe the influence of an arbitrary time-dependent force on an open inverted oscillator dynamics. We take into account environment through the integral operator of relaxation and the force correlation function. The resulting behavior of the system is represented as a combination the time evolution of the position expectation and the variance, being induced simultaneously by spreading the wave packet and the chaotic Brownian motion. We discuss the possibility of stabilization of an open inverted oscillator, when applying external alternating force.  相似文献
