I review the current status of the experimental searches for a Quark-Gluon Plasma in heavy ion collisions. The brief introduction covers important results of finite temperature lattice QCD and the intuitive Bjorken picture of Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) formation. Global features of the data, such as transverse energy distributions and the various signatures of QGP such asJ/ϕ-suppression, ψ-enhancement as well as thermal dileptons and photons are then discussed.  相似文献

In QCD, the strengths of the large scale temperature dependent chromomagnetic, B3, B8, and usual magnetic, H fields spontaneously generated in quark-gluon plasma after the deconfinement phase transition (DPT), are estimated. The consistent at high temperature effective potential accounting for the oneloop plus daisy diagrams is used. The heavy ion collisions at the LHC and temperatures T not much higher than the phase transition temperature Td are considered. The critical temperature for the magnetized plasma is found to be Td (H) ~ 110–120 MeV. This is essentially lower compared to the zero field value Td (H=0) ~ 160–180 MeV usually discussed in the literature. Due to contribution of quarks, the color magnetic fields act as the sources generating H. The strengths of the fields are B3(T), B8(T) ~ 1018–1019 G, H(T) ~ 1016–1017 G for temperatures T ~ 160–220 MeV. At temperatures T < 110–120 MeV the effective potential minimum value being negative approaches to zero. This is signaling the absence of the background fields and color confinement.  相似文献

We consider the dynamics of the scalar and pseudoscalar glueballs in the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). By using the instanton model for the QCD vacuum we give the arguments that the nonperturbative gluon-gluon interaction is qualitatively different in the confinement and deconfinement phases. Based on this observation it is shown that above T c the values of the scalar and pseudoscalar glueball masses might be very small. The estimation of the temperature of scale invariance restoration, at which the scalar glueball becomes massless, is given. We also discuss the Bose—Einstein condensation of the glueballs and the superfluidity of the glueball matter in QGP.  相似文献

It is assumed that at the beginning of the hadronlzation there are diquarks and anti-diquarks in the quark matter. 本文对Bjorken柱形夸克-胶子等离子体演化膨胀源进行了2π Hanbury-Brown-Twiss (HBT)干涉学分析.利用量子几率振幅的路径积分公式计算2π HBT关联函数并得到对膨胀和静态源的HBT半径. 研究发现,在冻结发射情况下的HBT半径要明显大于没有考虑多重散射吸收情况下的结果,源的膨胀速度导致HBT半径变小.对相变温度宽度为零的Bjorken柱形源,膨胀速度的影响要小于对应的球形源的结果.  相似文献

We study the evolution of heavy quarkonium states with temperature in a Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) by evaluating an in-medium Qˉ T-matrix within a reduced Bethe-Salpeter equation in S- and P-wave channels. The interaction kernel is extracted from finite-temperature QCD lattice calculations of the singlet free energy of a Qˉ pair. Quarkonium bound states are found to gradually move across the Qˉ threshold after which they rapidly dissolve in the hot system. We calculate Euclidean-time correlation functions and compare to results from lattice QCD. We also study finite-width effects in the heavy-quark propagators.  相似文献

A new hadronization scenario is proposed where a central role is played by the chiral symmetry break-down in the expanding Quark-Gluon Plasma. This mechanism becomes efficient after the thermal freeze-out of the quark-antiquark system. The transition from the chiral-symmetric to broken state proceeds through the formation of multi-quark-antiquark clusters which later on split into hadrons. This transition is accompanied by the formation of domains of long-lived coherent pion field (Disoriented Chiral Condensates). This picture can be observed through multi-hadron correlations and enhanced production of lowp t pions. We estimate time scales and spatial characteristics of chiral-symmetry breaking instabilities on the basis of an effective field-theoretical model.  相似文献

We introduce an extended bag model to investigate qualitatively the volume effect on the properties of the system. With the hard thermal loop (HTL) resummation technique, we calculate the dielectric function excited by hard gluon in quark-gluon plasma (QCP). We find that in a section of the space-like region po/p ∈ [0.78, 0.95], there are two extremum structures on the dielectric function curve, while the dielectric function in the HTL approximation decreases monotonously without these properties. Through the analyses of the imaginary part of the dielectric function, we conclude that the character of the dielectric function in this region reflects effects of the Landau damping.  相似文献

We present a way to calculate tetraquarks ratios for quark gluon plasma with diquarks, The ratios of tetraquarks over baryons produced from quark matter are high than hadronic gas model limits. It is a better way to search for four-quark states in relativistic heavy ion collisions. It may become a criterion to judge whether quark-gluon plasma has formed to search for four-quark states in relativistic heavy ion collisions.  相似文献
