On the basis of X-ray, magnetic and neutron diffraction measurements the range of solubility in the CrSxTe1−x (x = 0−0.2) system has been established and the magnetic phase diagram of the system has been plotted. The decrease of magnetization at low temperature and the additional reflections in the neutron diffraction patterns are associated with the formation of noncollinear magnetic structure which is characterized by the antiferromagnetic component of the magnetic moments. This component has the orthorhombic unit cell with \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ a_M = \sqrt {3a_0 } $\end{document}, bM = a0, cM = c0. The character of the exchange interactions giving rise to this magnetic structure is discussed.  相似文献

The (CuInSe2)x(2ZnSe)1‐x and (CuInTe2)x(2ZnTe)1‐x solid solution crystals prepared by Bridgman method and chemical vapor transport have been studied. The nature of the crystalline phases, the local structure homogeneity and composition of these materials have been investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and Electron Probe Microanalysis (EPMA) methods. The analysis revealed the presence of chalcopyrite‐sphalerite phase transition between 0.6 ≤ X ≤ 0.7. Lattice constants, value of σ position parameter and bond length between atoms were also calculated. It was found that the lattice parameters exhibit a linear dependence versus composition. The transmission spectra of solid solution crystals in the region of the main absorption edge were studied. Infrared reflectivity spectra of (CuGe2P3)1−x(6 Ge)x mixed crystals with compositions in the range x = 0.07–0.33 are measured at room temperature in the wavenumber range from 180 to 4000 cm−1. An analysis of the spectra reveals six vibrational modes. The composition dependence of the mode frequencies and of the free carrier concentration and mobility is given and compared with infrared optical data for CuGe2P3.  相似文献

The optical properties of the TlInS2xSe2(1‐x)mixed crystals (0.25 ≤ x ≤ 1) have been investigated through the transmission and reflection measurements in the wavelength range of 400–1100 nm. The optical indirect band gap energies were determined by means of the analysis of the absorption data. It was found that the energy band gaps decrease with the increase of selenium atoms content in the TlInS2xSe2(1‐x)mixed crystals. The transmission measurements carried out in the temperature range of 10–300 K revealed that the rates of change of the indirect band gaps with temperature are γ = –9.2×10–4 eV/K, –6.1×10–4 eV/K, –4.7×10–4 eV/K and –5.6×10–4 eV/K for TlInS2, TlInS1.5Se0.5, TlInSSe and TlInS0.5Se1.5 crystals, respectively. The dislocation etchant has been established for single crystals of Mo1−xWxSe2 system. Effect of concentration of an etchant on the etch rate has been discussed. The morphology of etch pits is also described. The etch activation energies for all the compositions of these crystals for a particular concentration (7 N) of an etchant has been found out. The etch activation energies for a particular composition (x = 0.4) of crystals with different concentrations of an etchant have been investigated and the results have been discussed.  相似文献

Large single crystals of optical quality of the non‐centrosymmetric orthorhombic potassium rare earth nitrate mixed crystals K2(La1–x Cex)(NO3)5 · 2 H2O were grown at 38 °C from diluted HNO3. For crystals with x = 0.0, 0.19, 0.38 and 0.66 refractive indices and their dispersion were determined with an error less than 1 · 10–4 in the wavelength range 0.404 – 1.083 μm by the prism method. Phase matching conditions for collinear SHG frequency conversion were analysed in detail, including calculation of the effective nonlinear optical susceptibility. By an appropriate choice of the fraction x of cerium the mixed crystals K2(La1–x Cex)(NO3)5 · 2 H2O allow an adjustment of non‐critical type I phase matching conditions to a desired wavelength of the fundamental wave within the range 1.055(4) – 1.107(6) μm. Single crystals of LaMn1−xCoxO3 (0 < x < 1) with distorted perovskite structure have been obtained by the electrodeposition technique at anode from flux melt using Cs2MoO4‐MoO3 binary system as solvent. An investigation of magnetic and electrical properties of the obtained crystals as well as its comparison with those for ceramic samples of the same composition were carried out. A much weaker interplay between magnetic and electrical properties and a smaller ∼8% magnetoresistance were found in the ternary oxide crystals slightly doped by Co on the verge of transition to ferromagnetic state in comparison to the data have been reported for LaMnO3+δ single crystals. The crystal structure as well as the optical properties in the band gap region of (CuInTe2)1‐x(2 ZnTe)x solid solution single crystals grown by directional freezing have been studied. The lattice constants exhibit a linear dependence on crystal composition. The chalcopyrite‐sphalerite phase transition was observed between x = 0.3 and x = 0.4°. The variation of the band gap with respect to crystal composition can be described by a quadratic expression.  相似文献

Lattice constants of sodium chlorate and sodium bromate and their mixed crystals were determined over the temperature range from room temperature to 320 °C. The observed lattice constants for the various compositions show strong deviations from those expected from Vegard's rule. The lattice constants at various temperatures were fitted to polynomials of type a = a0 + a1t + a2t2. The linear coefficients of expansion for the Na(ClO3)x · (BrO3)1−x series varies non-linearly with composition showing negative deviations from linearity.  相似文献

The elastic and elasto‐optical properties of Rb1–x (NH4)x H2AsO4 mixed crystals were studied by Brillouin spectroscopy at room temperature. The measurements were made on single crystals obtained from the aqueous solution by slow evaporation. The behaviour of bulk phonons propagating in investigated crystals was studied for different polarisations of incident and scattered beam. Mixed crystals (MgxNi1–x)SeO4 · 6 H2O and (MgxCu1–x)SeO4 · 5 H2O have been prepared studying the solubility in the MgSeO4–NiSeO4–H2O and MgSeO4–CuSeO4–H2O systems at 25 °C. It has been shown that the monoclinic structure of MgSeO4 · 6 H2O is unstable and undergoes a change into tetragonal structure due to the included nickel ions (about 4 at %). The lattice parameters of (MgxNi 1–x)SeO4 6 H2O have been calculated. It has been established that the magnesium ions incorporate isodimorphously in the crystal structure of CuSeO4 · 5 H2O which could be an indication of the existence of MgSeO4 · 5 H2O isostructural with the triclinic CuSeO4 5 H2O. The distribution coefficients of the salt components between the liquid and solid phases have been calculated.  相似文献

Investigations of the thermal expansion of (CuAlTe2)1–x(CuAlSe2)x solid solutions in the temperature range from 100 to 800 K have been carried out for the first time. It has been demonstrated that the thermal expansion coefficient αL grows considerably in the temperature range from 100 to 300 K, whereas the temperature dependence above 300 K is rather weak. The isotherms of composition dependence of the thermal expansion coefficient αL for 100, 293, 500 and 800 K were constructed, and it was found that linear relations could express them. The Debye temperatures θD , the average mean‐square dynamic displacements , the average root‐mean‐square amplitudes of thermal vibration RMS , the anion position parameter u using S. C. Abrahams & J. L. Bernstein (uAB ) and J. E. Jaffe & A. Zunger (uJZ ) models were calculated. The composition dependence of microhardness H using the phenomenological theory was also calculated, and it was discovered that this dependence has a non‐linear character with a maximum of 383 kg/mm2 at x=0.67. Single crystals of the title compounds of optical quality and dimensions up to 30 × 25 × 25 mm were grown by the flux method. During the growth process the formation of twins consisting of bicrystals was observed, even in the case of single-crystalline seeds. The twinning boundaries could be detected by etching with hot KOH solutions. The following physical properties were investigated: refractive indices, dielectric constants, thermal expansion, piezoelectric, and electrooptic effects, elastic and thermoelastic constants. The crystals exhibit a quite similar behaviour. The anisotropy of all properties is quasi-tetragonal. In respect to polar properties only small differences within the mixed crystals KxRb1–xTiOPO4 are found. Replacement of P by As does only slightly affect the polar properties, whereas the replacement of Ti by Ge leads to a drastic reduction of polar effects.  相似文献

Layered transition metal dichalcogenide crystal, WSe2, has been grown by direct vapour transport technique. Titanium is used as a dopant in to the 2H type MX2 matrix. These crystals show positive magnetoresistance and a switching behaviour is observed at room temperature in the titanium‐intercalated sample. The relative resistance change due to magnetic field for the doped sample is found to switch from 23.6% to 39.6% when the sample is rotated through 0° to 90°. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Layer type MoSexTe2−x (0 ≦ x ≦ 2) are grown by chemical vapour transport technique. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar cells are fabricated using the grown single crystals as photoelectrodes and platinum grid as counter electrode. The life time measurement of charge carries were carried out using pulse light from a stroboscopic source. The variation of life time with temperature and composition have been studied. Mixed crystals of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate were grown onto point seeds by the method of temperature reduction. It was found that the regeneration process of z‐cut point seeds became more and more difficult with increasing KH2PO4 concentration in the solution mixture. The interior stress and cracking of the mixed crystals were analyzed by synchrotron X‐ray topography. Large numbers of stress stripes were found at the seed and sectors boundaries. The lattice parameters of the pyramid and prismatic sectors of the prepared mixed crystal were calculated according to the X‐ray diffraction patterns. With solution containing 8 mol % KH2PO4, the lattice volumes of the prismatic sector of the mixed crystal were 1.3% larger than that of the pyramid sector of the crystal. Chemical etching revealed microcracks with length of hundreds of microns in the mixed crystals, which tended to spread and led to crystal cracking. (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
