The dispersion laws of electromagnetic waves in layered periodic metal-dielectric structures with anisotropic metal layers have been theoretically analyzed. It has been found that the anisotropy of metal layers is responsible for the appearance of additional allowed energy bands for photons. It has been shown that these bands correspond to plasma (Langmuir) waves propagating in anisotropic metal layers of the structure. Conditions under which the directions of group and phase velocities of Langmuir waves coincide or are opposite have been determined. It has been shown that the penetration of the electromagnetic field of Langmuir waves into dielectric layers is exponentially weak and this field is primarily concentrated in metal layers, where it oscillates in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the layers.  相似文献

Quasienergy spectrum of electrons in biased bigraphene subjected to the linear polarized high-frequency electromagnetic radiation has been derived. Quasienergy bands of ac-driven bigraphene have been investigated. Dynamical appearing of the saddle points in band structure of biased bigraphene and energy gap modification have been predicted. Electromagnetic field equation has been written using obtained quasienergy spectrum. The solution corresponding to the soliton-like electromagnetic wave has been obtained. The conditions of soliton-like wave generation in ac-driven bigraphene have been discussed.  相似文献

针对电磁波在非线性左手系材料中的传播性质, 分别研究了左、右手系材料界面以及两左手系材料界面上非线性TE表面波的传播行为讨论了导波的频率特性、色散关系以及群速度随频率的变化规律分析表明,两种界面上的非线性TE表面波均存在频率通带和禁带,且带宽是传播功率的函数揭示了在一定条件下,左、右手系材料界面上既可以支持正向传播的非线性TE表面波,也可以支持反向传播的非线性TE表面波;两左手系材料界面上表面波的传播性质因材料参量的变化差异较大,一定参量条件下,该界面上仅支持反向传播的非线性TE表面波.  相似文献

We fabricate Ag-SU-8-Ag sandwich metamaterials perforated with a periodic array of dipoles. The transmittance spectra of both experiment and modeling have indicated the existence of low- and high-intensity transmission bands in midinfrared frequencies. The position of these transmission bands depend on the dipole length, and lattice structure. The high-intensity transmission bands are due to the excitation of the external surface plasmon plartion (SPP) modes and the localized modes, while the low-intensity transmission bands are from the excitation of the internal SPP modes. The transmittance of the low transmission bands can be increased by decreasing the relative position of the two transmission bands, and the negative electromagnetic response of the metamaterials is also increased. However, if we further decrease the relative position of the two bands, the low transmission band will be merged in the high transmission band, and no negative electromagnetic response can be retrieved.  相似文献

In terahertz frequency region, we have investigated theoretically the correlation between spectra of a free photonic structure and that deposited on a metal for several models of metal. It was found that for quasi-normal incidence of p-polarized electromagnetic field the presence of metal generates narrow spectral wells in the middle of reflection windows existing in a free photonic crystal. Quite another manifestation of metal-resonator inter-influence takes place at incident angles exceeding the Brewster angle when reflection spikes coincide with modes of photonic crystal resonator and they are absent throughout the stopband areas. The effects are strongly depended on polarization, number of periods and angle of incidence.  相似文献

通过解析方法研究了高温等离子体的太赫兹波传输特性.研究发现,高温等离子体对太赫兹波高频频段透过率较高,表现为通带;对低频频段透过率较低,表现为阻带.这与冷等离子体中电磁波的传输特性是一致的.但其透射率还受到温度与磁场的影响,当改变高温等离子体的电子温度与磁场时,在阻带内会产生一尖锐的透射峰.这种现象在冷等离子体模型中从来没有出现过.本文主要对电子温度和外加磁场两个影响因素进行讨论.研究发现,禁带内出现的透射峰频率受磁场影响,而峰值幅度受温度影响.计算得到了不同外加磁场条件下产生高透过率(透射率约为1)时的电子温度.基于该结果进一步研究了透射峰出现的规律,并通过曲线拟合的方法得到了透射峰频率所遵循的计算公式.数值结果表明透射峰频率与外磁场之间为正比例函数关系,而峰值电子温度取值与外磁场的关系表现为指数规律.最后对拟合得到的方程采用时域有限差分法进行了验证,数值结果与解析解符合较好,证明了该研究的正确性.  相似文献

A simple closed form formula for the estimation of π-mode stopband in an azimuthally asymmetric helical slow-wave structure (SWS) was developed following coupled-mode analysis of multiple reflections of the degenerate space-harmonic modes from the support rod discontinuities. The method incorporates the effects of circuit loss, and accrues the accuracy of 3D electromagnetic analysis by allowing the use of dispersion characteristics obtainable from any standard electromagnetic modeling. The formula is simple and amenable to easy computation, even using a scientific calculator, and without resorting to exhaustive and time-intensive numerical computation, and at the same time, without sacrificing the accuracy in results. The analysis was benchmarked against published results and excellent agreement observed. The analysis was further used for demonstrating the stopband phenomenon for a typical millimeter-wave helical slow-wave structure. Compared to low frequency structures, the stopband phenomenon for a millimeter-wave structure was found to be more pronounced, and an interesting inference was drawn as to how asymmetry induced stopband might be made to advantage in combating π-mode instabilities in a millimeter-wave traveling-wave tube.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental work was carried out on a terahertz metamaterial bandstop filter comprising an array of identical subwavelength resonators, each formed by fusing a pair of printable metallic U-shapes that have their openings pointing in opposite directions. Linear frequency tunability of the stopband electromagnetic response can be achieved by altering the overlap distance between the two fused shapes. Tuning does not significantly affect the strength or quality factor of the resonance. An approach to create mechanically tunable, dynamic terahertz filters is thereby suggested, with several functional advantages. Meanwhile, an effective equivalent circuit model based on self-inductance, mutual inductance, and capacitance has been proposed.  相似文献

A solution to the Sommerfeld problem of the far (in terms of wavelengths) field of a vertical electrical dipole placed at the interface between two media has been found. The characteristics of a surface electromagnetic wave that propagates over a medium with highly inductive surface impedance δ have been determined. The spatial characteristics of the wave are expressed through the real and imaginary parts of impedance δ. It has been proved that the surface electromagnetic wave is the major contributor to the electromagnetic field of the ground wave in the case of highly inductive radio paths.  相似文献

The problem of the propagation of two-dimensional solitary electromagnetic waves in an array of carbon nanotubes has been considered. The electromagnetic field and the electron system of carbon nanotubes have been treated on the basis of the Maxwell’s equations and the Boltzmann kinetic equation in the relaxation-time approximation, respectively. The derived effective equation has been analyzed and the state of the electromagnetic field that is localized in two spatial dimensions has been found.  相似文献

The recoil effect in a strong resonance field of a standing electromagnetic wave has been studied. In order to find the response to the external field (the induced dipole momentum) it is necessary to take into account the variations in the motion of the atoms in this field: the response and the energy spectrum of the atoms are determined from the system of wave equations for the multi-level atoms. The problem of a weak signal absorption in the presence of a strong standing wave which is in resonance with the adjacent transition, is solved. In this case the contour of the absorption line is shown to diverge into two wide bands, their width being proportional to the strong field amplitude. The contribution of continuous and discrete states of the atoms in a standing wave field has been found.  相似文献

Surface‐enhanced Raman spectra are simulated using a combined classical electrodynamics/real‐time time‐dependent density functional theory approach and compared to experiments. Emphasis is put on discerning between chemical and electromagnetic enhancement. Therefore, three different calculation scenarios are investigated using para‐nitrothiophenol as a test molecule. In the first one, corresponding to electromagnetic enhancement, we simulate the molecule alone with ab initio computations incorporating the electromagnetic field emitted by a nanoparticle. Chemical enhancement is modeled in the second scenario, where we include not only the molecule into the quantum chemistry calculations but also metal atoms of the nanoparticle. Here, any modification of the electromagnetic field due to the nanoparticle is not considered. In the third scenario, the former two setups are combined and demanding simulations of the hybrid system containing the molecule and the metal atoms exposed to a strongly modified electromagnetic field due to the plasmonic properties of the metallic nanoparticles are considered. Results are compared to our experimentally measured spectra. Based on our analysis, we show here on rigorous grounds that the electromagnetic effect leads to increased absolute Raman scattering cross sections but no change of the relative intensities. In contrast, the chemical effect leads to changes in relative peak height and also to newly emerging bands in the spectrum. 与双电层和孔隙流体渗流有关的声波-电磁场耦合效应(动电耦合波)在油气储层勘探、地震电磁场等领域有着潜在应用价值。该文简述动电耦合波在理论模型以及井孔动电耦合波的实验测量、模拟计算方面的研究进展,并对油气储层测井领域进一步的动电耦合波研究进行了展望。基于动电信号的探测方法同时接收声波和电磁场两类信号,可避免单一类别信号方法的不足。实验获得了岩心的动电耦合系数,但其表征的孔隙岩石物理性质还有待进一步认识。基于耦合控制方程,开展了震电波场的计算和分析。结果表明,声源激发后,可接收到伴随声波的电磁信号和早于声波的电磁首波。这两类信号都既对影响声波特性的岩石模量、孔隙度和渗透率等参数敏感,又与电导率等岩石电学性质密切相关。非饱和岩石动电耦合波理论和基于动电耦合波的参数反演方法等问题有待进一步研究。  相似文献

The quasinormal modes of the Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by the quintessence in Rastall gravity are studied using the sixth-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximative approach. The effect of the Rastall parameter on the quasinormal modes of gravitational, electromagnetic and massless scalar perturbations is explored. Compared to the case of Einstein gravity, it is found that, when η < 0, the gravitational field, electromagnetic field as well as massless scalar field damp more rapidly and have larger real frequency of oscillation in Rastall gravity, while when η > 0, the gravitational field, electromagnetic field as well as massless scalar field damp more slowly and have smaller real frequency of oscillation in Rastall gravity. It is also found that the gravitational field, electromagnetic field as well as massless scalar field damp more and more slowly and the real frequency of oscillation for the gravitational perturbation, electromagnetic perturbation as well as massless scalar perturbation becomes smaller and smaller as the Rastall parameter η increases. Compared among the quasinormal frequencies of gravitational, electromagnetic and massless scalar perturbations, I find that, for fixed η, (l, n), ∈ and Nq, the oscillation damps most slowly for the gravitational perturbation, mediate for the electromagnetic perturbation and most rapidly for the massless scalar perturbation, and the real frequency of oscillation is the smallest for the gravitational perturbation, mediate for the electromagnetic perturbation and the largest for the massless scalar perturbation in Rastall gravity.  相似文献

Electromagnetic emission accompanying the serrated deformation of the aluminum?magnesium alloy Al-6Mg has been revealed and studied experimentally. By means of high-speed video recording and a complex of methods for measuring the strain, load, and electric potential, it has been found that there is a relation between the electromagnetic emission signals and the dynamics of deformation bands. In this paper, the effect of electromagnetic field in the string Bianchi type-VI0 Universe is investigated. Einstein’s field equations have been solved exactly with suitable physical assumptions for two types of strings: (i) massive strings and (ii) Nambu strings. It is found that when the Universe is dominated by massive strings, the existence of electromagnetic field is necessary as it accelerates the expansion of the Universe. But when our Universe is dominated by Nambu strings, the electromagnetic field does not have significant effect on the evolution of the Universe. We have also shown that the early massive string-dominated Universe got converted to Nambu string-dominated Universe later. Our models are derived from an early deceleration phase to an accelerating phase which is consistent with the recent observations of supernovae type-Ia. The physical and geometrical behaviour of these models are also discussed.  相似文献

The fundamental bands of the CCl3 asymmetric deformation modes of selected isotopomers of chloroform (CHCl3) and freon-11 (CFCl3) have been measured in a static cell at ambient temperature using a laser-based source of tunable radiation in the terahertz region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The analysis of the rotational contours of the bands enabled the derivation of the fundamental frequencies with an accuracy of better than 3 GHz.  相似文献

A NaCl ionic crystal whose (100) face is in contact with vacuum is used as an example to consider static and dynamic contributions to an electromagnetic field in close proximity to its surface. The expression for the potential of the electric field produced by a system of point charges in vacuum (derived by Lennard-Jones and Dent) is taken as the basis. The dynamic correction to the static field has been found. It appears as a result of thermal fluctuations of ions near equilibrium positions in the ionic lattice. Various contributions of the electrostatic field of the ionic lattice, the field of fluctuating ions of this lattice near their equilibrium positions, and of the dipole-type fluctuation field produced by spontaneous deformations of the crystal??s elementary cells to the energy density of the electromagnetic field near the surface of the ionic crystal have been calculated and compared. The periodic structuring of the electromagnetic field??s energy density caused by the presence of static and dynamic ionic lattices of the crystal at small distances from its surface is illustrated graphically. Fields generated by a film with a finite thickness containing an arbitrary number of ion monolayers have also been considered.  相似文献
