The conditions for the phase transition to the ferroelectromagnetic phase in ferroelectric-ferromagnetic films through the mechanism of the loss of stability of the initial homogeneous state have been considered. The geometry of the domain structure and the temperature of the transition to the inhomogeneous state have been determined. The condition for the phase transition to the ferroelectromagnetic phase has been established and determined by the relationship between the temperature-dependent coefficients of the expansion of the thermodynamic potential into a series in terms of the polarization and magnetization vector components. The influence of free charge carriers on the geometry of the domain structure and the transition temperature has been studied. The possible existence of a single-domain state has been discussed. The permittivity of a multidomain sample has been determined. The feasibility of exploiting the studied material for nondestructive recording and reading of information has been noted.  相似文献

用sol-gel法制备出了具有良好铁电性、纯钙钛矿结构的PbTiO3/Pb(Zr0.3Ti0.7)O3/PbTiO3(PT/PZT/PT)新型夹心结构铁电薄膜.用扫描力显微镜(SFM)的压电响应模式获得了薄膜铁电畴的垂直于膜平面方向(OPP)、膜平面内(IPP)及OPP的相位和幅度图像,结合理论分析指出薄膜的电畴主要由c畴和偏离垂直于膜平面方向上的c畴构成,薄膜取向的复杂性导致了复杂的畴结构.对于[111]取向的薄膜,当偏离垂直于膜平面方向上的c畴在垂直膜平面方向和面内方向都相反时构成180°的畴壁,在垂直膜平面方向上相同、面内方向相反或由垂直膜平面方向上相反、面内方向相同时构成90°畴壁. 关键词: 铁电薄膜 PT/PZT/PT 电畴和畴壁 扫描力显微镜(SFM)  相似文献

The temperature and polarization dependence of the optical reflectivity spectra of a quasi-one-dimensional 1/4-filled band system, (DMEDO-EBDT)(2)PF(6), have been investigated. We observed clear anisotropy in the electronic structures corresponding to the anisotropic transport properties. The appearance of a charge gap (E(g)?>?0.1?eV) and transfer of the spectral weight accompanied by the metal-insulator phase transition were clearly observed. In addition, a split of the intramolecular vibrational modes was observed, which strongly suggested the existence of charge disproportionation in the low temperature phase. We also observed a photoinduced reflectivity change, which implied the occurrence of a photoinduced phase transition from the low temperature insulating phase to the high temperature metallic phase.  相似文献

The surface nanodomain structures formed in lithium niobate single crystals as a result of pulsed irradiation of polar surfaces with UV and IR lasers have been investigated. The structures formed have been classified. The main features of the domain kinetics during one-dimensional growth at strong deviation from equilibrium have been revealed. A mechanism of polarization switching is proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Stable spiral domain structures—spiral domains stabilized by a bubble lattice and lattices of spiral domains—in epitaxial ferrite-garnet films have been experimentally investigated. The thermodynamic approach based on the concept of magnetostatic pressure is applied to explain the behavior of a spiral domain structure with a change in temperature or magnetic field. It is shown that phase transitions in spiral domains are related to phase transitions in the bubble lattice.  相似文献

Optical reflectivity studies have been conducted on freely suspended films with synclinic and anticlinic structures. For the first time quantitative data were obtained on orientational ordering in films with anticlinic structure. In the same wide temperature range of more than 30 K we observed both transverse and longitudinal ferroelectricity in the films of the same thickness. Equilibrium transition temperatures between structures with transverse and longitudinal polarization were above the bulk transition temperature to the SmC phase. The time dependences of polarization of K0.88(NH4)0.12H2PO4 mixed crystal have been studied within the temperature range of 74–100 K. Two mechanisms of polarization relaxation were found. The first mechanism is caused by domain walls lateral motion and their interaction with point lattice defects. The second one supposedly is due to polar regions infiltration through the regions of frustrated paraelectric phase.  相似文献

In the two-dimensional electron systems with strong coupling in MgZnO/ZnO heterostructures, the thermal behavior of Ising quantum Hall ferromagnets at the filling factor ν = 2 has been studied. The spin polarization of Hall ferromagnets has been detected by measuring the signal related to the inelastic light scattering by intrasubband spin excitons. A stepwise change in the spin polarization at the phase transition at the filling factors ν = 2,3, and 4 in the heterostructures with different electron densities has been observed. The thermal stability of the Hall ferromagnetic phases at ν = 2 has been studied and the Curie temperature has been estimated. It has been shown that the Curie temperature is determined by the formation energy for domain walls in the Ising quantum Hall ferromagnets.  相似文献

Recently, in ferroelectric materials, there have been many experimental efforts to find out more intriguing topological objects and their functionalities, such as conduction property. Here we investigated ferroelectric domain structures and related topological defects in the (111)-oriented epitaxial tetragonal PbZr0.35Ti0.65O3 thin film. Systematic piezoresponse force microscopy measurements revealed that the field-induced polarization switching can form thermodynamically stable superdomain structures composed of nano-sized stripe subdomains. Within such superdomain structures, we observed the exotic equilateral triangular in-plane flux-closure domains composed of three stripe domain bundles with 120/120/120 degrees of separation. The conductive-atomic force microscopy measurements under vacuum showed that some vertices have significantly higher conductivity compared to other surrounding regions. This work highlights electric field-driven polarization switching and unique crystallographic symmetry (here, three-fold rotational symmetry) can generate exotic ferroelectric domain structures and functional topological defects, such as conductive vertices.  相似文献

We here investigate the density and temperature dependence of polarization using the relativistic formalism for the electron–electron interaction within the Fermi liquid model. The variational method has been used: the free energy has been minimized with respect to the effective mass and the polarization parameter. Then we obtained the equation of state and magnetic susceptibility of the system. The exact results for polarization and magnetic susceptibility have been obtained at zero temperature. It has been shown that for a given temperature (density) there is a critical density (temperature) at which the ferromagnetic phase can appear in an electron gas. The results are in agreement with previous work. Our results show that at nonzero temperatures and in very low and very high densities the ferromagnetism phase cannot exist.  相似文献

The adsorption isotherms of water molecules, spectra of diffuse reflection and of reflected-light polarization, and electrophysical properties of hyperfine films fabricated on the basis of liquid crystals have been studied. A structural phase transition was detected at a temperature of about 70°C; near the transition, features of light polarization, of the reflection coefficient’s behavior, and of the temperature dependence of the sample capacitance have been found. Hypotheses regarding the nature of the phase transition are proposed.  相似文献

对Sm(CobalFe0.1Cu0.1Zr0.033)6.9合金, 经810℃等温时效后以0.5℃/min逐渐冷却, 在600℃-400℃温度区间淬火, 研究了不同淬火温度下的磁滞回线、磁畴和矫顽力温度系数β. 发现时效600℃淬火后磁滞回线出现台阶状, 说明畴壁中应存在两处钉扎. 随淬火温度的降低, 合金的室温矫顽力显著增加, 磁滞回线的台阶消失. 通过磁畴形貌发现时效600℃淬火后的磁畴接近条形畴, 1:5相中Cu分布相对均匀, 形成的畴壁钉扎较弱, 从而使磁滞回线出现台阶, 决定矫顽力的畴壁钉扎位于两相界面处; 随时效淬火温度的降低, 磁畴逐渐细化, 畴壁1:5相中的畴壁能降低, 形成了较强的内禀钉扎, 并决定材料的矫顽力, 两相界面处的畴壁钉扎被掩盖. 对不同温度淬火合金的高温矫顽力研究表明, 最强的畴壁钉扎位于两相界面处时, 矫顽力随温度升高逐渐增加, 矫顽力出现温度反常现象; 最强的畴壁钉扎位于1:5相中心时, 矫顽力随温度升高逐渐衰减. 当测试温度达到500℃后不同淬火温度样品的矫顽力几乎相同, 此时最强畴壁钉扎均在两相界面处.  相似文献

We investigate the formation of high-order polarization vortex spatial solitons. The high-order polarization vortex solitons have novel polarization states which are different from fundamental polarization vortex solitons and have rotational symmetry only in intensity. It is proved that the polarization vortex solitons cannot carry vortex phase. The existence domain and dynamical characteristic of these high-order polarization vortex solitons in Bessel optical lattices are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The crystal lattice vibrational frequencies in the center of the Brillouin zone have been determined with the Raman spectroscopy method. The lattice vibrational frequencies, the phonon density of states, elastic and piezoelectric moduli, Born dynamic charges, and high-frequency dielectric constant have been calculated using the density functional method. All calculated quantities have been compared to the experimental data. A model of a nonpolar paraelectric phase for this compound, as well as a mechanism of the formation of domain in it, has been proposed. The polarization in the experimentally observed polar phase has been calculated.  相似文献

The transformation of a domain structure and technical magnetization of the Tb0.2Y2.8Fe5O12 single crystal in the temperature range of the spontaneous orientational phase transition have been investigated by the magneto-optical method. It has been shown that the phase transition is extended in a certain temperature range in which domains of the low-temperature and high-temperature magnetic phases coexist. It has been found that the evolution of the domain configuration in the temperature range of spin reorientation substantially depends on the presence of mechanical stresses in the crystal. Anomalies in the temperature dependences of the coercivity and magneto-optical susceptibility of the crystal due to the transformation of its domain structure during the phase transition have been revealed. The experimental results have been interpreted within the existing theory of orientational phase transitions in cubic crystals.  相似文献

Based on the Landau theory, the first-order phase transition properties of ferroelectric thin films have been studied by taking into account uniaxial stress distribution effects. The stress is supposed to decrease from interface to surface exponentially according to the experimental results. It is shown that tensile stress decreases the polarization and the Curie temperature while compressive stress increases the polarization and the Curie temperature. A stress-driven phase transition is found at the critical stress. Our prediction is compared with the available experiment results.  相似文献

Spontaneous phase transitions in ferrite garnet films have been studied. It has been shown that, with variations in the temperature, domain walls undergo phase transitions which cause spontaneous phase transitions in the lattice of cylindrical magnetic domains. The phase transition in a domain wall causes a spin-reorientation phase transition over the whole sample near the magnetic compensation point. The character of the phase transition in the domain wall determines the mechanism of the spin-reorientation phase transition.  相似文献

We report here the dielectric relaxation spectroscopy and electro-optical properties of a ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) CB470 (R) and isomeric mixtures containing CB470 (R) and its optical isomer CB480 (S) in two different concentrations. We have studied with two isomeric mixtures: mixing CB470 (R) and CB480 (S) in the ratio 95:5 (w/w) and 90:10 (w/w). With increase of percentage of CB480 (S) in the mixture the spontaneous polarization (PS) value has been decreased due to cancellation of a part of the dipolar contribution, since the direction of PS of the two isomers are in opposite direction. The tilt angles of the pure FLC materials and the isomeric mixtures remain almost unchanged. The dielectric strength of Goldstone mode is almost proportional to the spontaneous polarization (PS). An additional collective mode has been observed in the SmC1 phase due to the formation of domain with large periodicity in pure FLC material and in one of the isomeric mixtures by unwinding the helical structures, which is known as domain mode. The existence of domain mode has been studied extensively with the variation of PS in the isomeric mixtures. The result has been discussed.  相似文献
