A simple analytical model is developed and solved to describe time evolution of the loop voltage and toroidal current when RF and inductive current drive take place simultaneously. A relation for the real value of the RF driven current has been obtained under these conditions. Comparison with experimental data from T-7 tokamak allows to estimate the role of the skin effect during RF current drive.The authors would like to thank A. Ya. 在Hall MHD方程组中引入外部驱动电流项,数值模拟外部驱动电流对双撕裂模不稳定性的影响.结果表明,在x点加入反向外部驱动电流对撕裂模的发展有抑制作用,周期性的外部驱动电流对双撕裂模不稳定性的抑制效果较好,能控制磁岛的尺度在相互驱动的临界尺度以下,避免发生双撕裂模非线性磁场重联的爆发,随着驱动电流周期变大抑制效果变坏,在一定限度内随着驱动电流强度增大抑制效果变好,在一定范围内随着驱动电流宽度变小抑制效果变好.  相似文献

在给定等离子体密度分布下,从电子、离子的能量方程出发,根据不同运行模式下等离子体的热传导率不同,分别求出了中心负剪切模式,常规剪切H模式和L模式下的等离子体温度分布,然后通过求解波迹方程与相对论情况下的Fokker-Planck方程,分别计算了这些模式下的电子回旋波电流驱动和波功率沉积.得到在中心负剪切下,驱动电流最大,驱动效率最高,功率沉积和电流分布区间跨度大;在常规剪切H模式下,驱动电流较小,分布区间跨度比较窄,驱动效率相对较低;在常规剪切L模式,驱动电流效率最低,分布区间跨度也非常集中. 关键词: 托卡马克 电子回旋波电流驱动 中心负剪切 常规剪切  相似文献

本文用简化模型分析托卡马克装置,建议用等离子体往径向速度振荡和角向磁场振荡的相互作用产生一个定常环向电动势以驱动稳态电流。这可由按一定相位差调制两个外加参量来达到。按反应堆参数估计,这种调制频率可以是工业频率。  相似文献

对原有的低混杂波电流驱动模拟程序进行改进,使之能够研究EAST上如何控制低混杂波功率沉积和电流驱动分布.在EAST非圆截面的平衡位形下,应用改进后的程序详细计算不同低混杂波功率谱、等离子体密度和温度分布对低混杂波功率沉积位置和电流驱动剖面分布的影响.通过计算发现,选取合适的低混杂波功率谱,等离子体温度分布和密度分布可以对功率沉积位置和电流驱动分布的剖面进行控制;调节等离子体温度分布可以很好的控制低混杂波近轴电流驱动分布和离轴电流驱动分布.  相似文献

用全波方法研究环形对称托卡马克等离子体中离子回旋频率范围内(ICRF)的快波电流驱动(FWCD)问题,考虑有限拉莫尔半径(FLR)效应和平行色散,建立全波计算的物理模型—全波方程,通过对全波方程的数值求解得到快波在等离子体中激发的电场强度分布.结果表明:快波可以传播到高温高密度等离子体的中心;快波在磁轴附近发生了模式转换;快波可以驱动中心的等离子体电流以改善等离子体的平衡位型;平行电场比垂直电场小三个数量级,通过垂直方向的回旋共振和平行方向的穿越期磁泵效应达到驱动电流的目的.  相似文献

A complete RF coil system, as has been previously defined, is capable of generating any steady-state RF field, at the MR frequency, that is compatible with Maxwell's equations. A coil system is complete if it is capable of generating all basis vector fields in the multipole expansion of the electromagnetic fields. A complete coil system has the potential to reach the ultimate intrinsic signal-to-noise as an MRI receiver coil. It also offers maximum flexibility in tailoring the spatial RF field distribution as an excitation coil. Here, computer simulations have been performed on array coils employing composite coil elements, assuming the current loops are small and can be approximated by magnetic dipoles. We demonstrate that a coil array can be configured to approximate a truncated complete array coil and to generate the basis magnetic vector fields up to certain orders in the multipole expansion of the electromagnetic fields.  相似文献

The possible applications of high-power millimeter (mm) and submillimeter waves from gyro-devices span a wide range of technologies. The plasma physics community has already taken advantage of recent advances in applying high-power micro- and mm-waves generated by gyrotron oscillators in the areas of RF-plasma production, heating, noninductive current drive, plasma stabilization and active plasma diagnostics for magnetic confinement thermonuclear fusion research, such as lower hybrid current drive (8 GHz), electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) (28–170 GHz), electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD), collective Thomson scattering and heat-wave propagation experiments. Other important applications of gyrotrons are electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) discharges for generation of multi-charged ions and soft X-rays, as well as industrial materials processing and plasma chemistry. Submillimeter wave gyrotrons are employed in high-frequency broadband electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Future applications which await the development of novel high-power gyro-amplifiers include high resolution radar ranging and imaging in atmospheric and planetary science as well as deep-space and specialized satellite communications and RF drivers for next-generation high-gradient linear accelerators (supercolliders). The present paper reviews the state-of-the-art and future prospects of these recent applications of gyro-devices.  相似文献

It is found that no current is driven in a central region of a tokamak plasma once the central current density becomes nearly zero ("current hole"), in spite of high electric conductivity, at the current drive by a toroidal electric field and a radio-frequency wave in experiments on the JT-60U tokamak. 本文利用较简单的计算模型计算低杂波沿射线轨迹的能量沉积和电流分布。结果表明,当等离子体中心电于温度不太高(Te<1keV)时,边缘冷等离子体区电子-离子碰撞吸收的能量占相当大的比例,因此电流驱动效率较低。提高中心和边缘电子温度,将较大幅度地增加低杂波电流驱动效率,从而可解释为什么在小托卡马克中低杂波电流驱动效率比在大、中型托卡马克中小得多。  相似文献

An application of remote RF beam steering concept, based on image multiplication phenomena in a corrugated square waveguide, to electron-cyclotron plasma heating and current drive for ITER has been considered. In the present paper high attention is paid to studies of reliability of the remote steering capability in realistic waveguide condition. Different factors, could limit efficiency (RF breakdown, random technological spread of parameters, and heating of system), are simulated. Polarization properties of the remote steering antenna, arising due to non-ideal corrugation, are investigated. It is suggested a new configuration of antenna to be not sensible to corrugation parameters. RF analysis of the system, supplemented by dog-legs and a vacuum window, is also presented. A new way to use beating wave transmission in the remote steering waveguide is suggested, in order to reduce losses caused by mitre bends.  相似文献

为了开展基于自由电子激光的紧凑型太赫兹源技术研究,获得高品质(强流、低能散、低发射度)电子束,提出了一个低反轰双路微波馈入多腔热阴极微波电子枪的设计方案。用两路独立微波馈入激励微波电子枪,一路由首腔馈入激励首腔和实现阴极表面建场引出电子,另一路由后续腔馈入并通过腔间耦合激励各腔。两路微波互不耦合,通过移相器实现首腔和第2腔之间的相移连续可调。理论模拟结果表明:在一个射频周期内,热阴极微波电子枪的电子反轰功率约8 kW,平均反轰功率仅为1.2 W(重复频率25 Hz和脉宽6 μs)。  相似文献

在给定的等离子体总电流和中心电流密度条件下,数值求解平衡方程,求出不同拉长比和三角形变因子的托卡马克等离子体温度、密度、磁场分布,然后通过求解波迹方程和Fokker-Planck方程,分别计算这些位形下的电子回旋波波迹和电流驱动.结果表明:电子回旋波X模从顶部发射时,随着拉长比的增大,波迹会向弱场侧偏移.电子回旋波X模从弱场侧发射时,电子回旋波在等离子体中传播沉积的功率份额随着拉长比的增大而增加,驱动电流位置随着三角形变因子的增大向等离子体中心移动.驱动电流位置随环向和极向发射角的减小向中心移动,对应的电流密度峰值也变大.  相似文献

In the review paper of N. J. Fish, the topics concerning the basic theory of lower hybrid wave heating and current drive are presented. In the consideration of radio-frequency heating and current drive of tokamak plasma near the lower hybrid frequency, the parallel wave length is imposed by the coupling device parallel to the magnetic field and is modified by gradients along the field. The important effects are found on wave penetration and damping when the toroidal aspect ratio is low. It may be possible to change the plasma current via electron Landau damping with a coupler rf power spectrum.  相似文献

Noninductive current drive has been performed in the tokamak ASDEX upgrade by injection of radiofrequency waves at the second harmonic of the electron-cyclotron frequency in order to suppress unwanted disturbances of the magnetic-field configuration. The current has been driven parallel [co-electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD)] and antiparallel (counter-ECCD) to the plasma current to compare the effect of heating with direct current drive in the magnetic island. For the first time it has been shown experimentally that total stabilization of neoclassical tearing modes is possible with co-ECCD. The experiments verify the role of direct current drive as opposed to local heating.  相似文献

The efficiency of generating a helical current in magnetic islands for the purpose of suppression of neoclassical tearing modes (NTMs) by electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) is studied experimentally in the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak. It is found that the efficiency of generating helical current by continuous current drive in a rotating island drops drastically as the width 2d of the co-ECCD driven current becomes larger than the island width W. However, by modulating the co-ECCD in phase with the rotating islands O point, the efficiency can be recovered. The results are in good agreement with theoretical calculations taking into account the equilibration of the externally driven current on the island flux surfaces. The result is especially important for large next-step fusion devices, such as ITER, where 2d>W is expected to be unavoidable during NTM suppression, suggesting that modulation capability should be foreseen.  相似文献
