Hot electrons and optical emission are measured from the rear surface of a metallic foil. The spectra of the optical emission in the near infrared region have a sharp spike around the wavelength of the incident laser pulse. The optical emission is ascribed to coherent transition radiation due to microbunching in the hot electron beam. It is found that the optical emission closely correlates with the hot electrons accelerated in resonance absorption.  相似文献

实验提出托卡马克中的等离子体频率附近的增强辐射现象与高能逃逸电子有关,但是辐射的机制尚未完全弄清。本文讨论了两种可能的机制。一种是诱发辐射,这是来自逃逸电子与波的反常迴旋共振。另一种是自发辐射,主要来自契仑柯夫共振。前者要求逃逸电子的能量比后者为大,因此,自发辐射理论更引人注意。在很宽的参数变化范围内对辐射率作了数值计算。对于等离子体频率大于迴旋频率的情况也作了讨论。 关键词:  相似文献

The absorption of terahertz radiation by free charge carriers in n-type semiconductor quantum wells accompanied by the interaction of electrons with acoustic and optical phonons is studied. It is shown that intrasubband optical transitions can cause both heating and cooling of the electron gas. The cooling of charge carriers occurs in a certain temperature and radiation frequency region where light is most efficiently absorbed due to intrasubband transitions with emission of optical phonons. In GaAs quantum wells, the optical cooling of electrons occurs most efficiently at liquid nitrogen temperatures, while cooling is possible even at room temperature in GaN heterostructures.  相似文献

为了探索超热电子的输运过程,在100 TW掺钛蓝宝石飞秒激光器上利用光学CCD相机和OMA光学多道分析仪,分别在靶背表面法线方向测量了光发射空间分布图案和光谱. 实验测量结果显示,光发射空间分布图案呈圆盘状,在圆盘中明亮而强的光信号呈局部化分布,该现象表明,超热电子在输运的过程中存在成丝效应,引起严重的不稳定性;光发射光谱在3倍频和3/2倍频附近出现尖峰,分别是3次谐波和3/2次谐波,这一现象归因于超热电子束在传输的过程中产生的微束团而引起的相干渡越辐射(CTR);光发射光强随靶厚度的增加而减小. 关键词: 超热电子 相干渡越辐射 输运 不稳定性  相似文献

 超短超强激光与固体靶相互作用,可以产生大量的Kα特征谱线发射。这种Kα线光源在背光照相、医学成像和超快诊断等方面具有显著优势。为了寻求获得Kα线高产额的方法,利用ITS蒙卡模拟程序,对超短超强激光产生的超热电子在固体靶中产生的Kα线发射进行了模拟。系统研究了Kα线发射强度随出射角度、靶厚度和超热电子温度等参数的变化情况。研究发现在恒定的激光功率密度或超热电子温度下,存在最佳的靶厚度,使得Kα线光子产额最大,并用模拟结果对已有实验数据进行了解释。  相似文献

Experiments were performed in which ultrahigh intensity laser pulses (I>5 x 10(19) W cm(-2)) were used to irradiate thin wire targets. It was observed that such interactions generate a large number of relativistic electrons which escape the target and induce multimega ampere return currents within the wire. MHD instabilities can subsequently be observed in the pinching plasma along with field emission of electrons from nearby objects. Coherent optical transition radiation from adjacent objects was also observed.  相似文献

In the work within the frame of quantum electrodynamics are obtained new formulae describing the large-angle photon emission from channeled electrons with taking into account of the dispersion of refractive index. Calculations based on these formulae show that the spectral and angular distributions of large-angle optical and ultraviolet radiation from planar channeled sub-GeV electrons in optically transparent crystal reflect the band structure of transverse energy levels of channeled electrons. Comparison with ordinary Cherenkov radiation spectrum reveals that channeling (depending on the beam energy) leads to sufficient change of the large-angle emission spectrum.  相似文献

利用光学CCD相机和OMA光学多道分析仪,分别在金属箔背表面法线方向测量了光发射的积分成像光谱和散射光光谱。积分成像光谱测量结果显示,光谱呈圆环状,在圆环边缘附近出现局部化明亮光信号确定为超热电子输运穿越固体靶引起的光学渡越辐射(OTR);散射光光谱测量结果显示,光谱在300~500 nm之间出现一系列非周期锐利尖峰,在400 nm(2ω)附近出现的尖峰归结于v×B加热机制产生的超热电子束中的聚束引起的相干渡越辐射(CTR)。渡越辐射光强随靶厚度的增加而减小。  相似文献

The new method for metering of the static parameters of the axially symmetric electron beams in the devices of the extremely high frequency (EHF) range is proposed in the paper. The method is based on using properties of the transition radiation of the optical range. The transition radiation appears when bombarding a metallic target electrode with electrons. Results of the meterings on distribution of current beam density by way of this method are given. The results are compared with the trajectory analysis when moving the electrons in the field of the investigated electron-optical system.  相似文献

It is shown that the Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation has an essential contribution in experiments on optical transition radiation. The properties of the Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation, such as direction, threshold condition, and polarization, are considered. 通过测定Nd∶YAG脉冲激光烧蚀金属Cu诱导产生光谱线及其强度随时间与空间的分布,结果表明等离子体辐射光谱线由原子光谱线、离子光谱线及连续辐射背景光组成,Cu原子光谱线的数目不仅比离子光谱线多,而且辐射强度比离子光谱线的大,以连续辐射背景光的辐射强度为最弱;原子光谱线的发光范围最大,持续时间最长;离子光谱线发光范围中等,持续时间中长;连续辐射背景光的发光范围最小,持续时间最短.讨论了激光诱导发光的机理,认为等离子体羽中连续辐射背景光主要来自近靶处高能电子的韧致辐射和电子与离子的复合激发,原子和离子光谱线主要由等离子体中高能电子的碰撞传能激发所引起,并用之较好地解释了所观察的实验现象.  相似文献

The emission of terahertz radiation from a AlGaN/GaN heterostructure under the heating of two-dimensional electrons in a lateral electric field is studied. The field dependence of the temperature of hot electrons is determined from an analysis of experimental volt-ampere characteristics. A theoretical model of the thermal radiation of hot two-dimensional electrons is considered, and the calculation results are compared with an experiment on terahertz radiation emission.  相似文献

通过时间分辨的光谱测量技术,测定了308 nm XeCl紫外激光烧蚀金属Cu在氮气环境中诱导产生等离子体的发射光谱及其强度随时间分布,实验结果表明等离子体辐射光谱线主要由原子光谱线、一价离子光谱线及连续辐射背景光组成,各种光谱线的数目、辐射强度、持续时间不同。结合实验结果对等离子辐射机理进行了探讨,认为电子通过逆韧致辐射获得较高的能量,连续辐射主要来自高能电子的韧致辐射,原子和一价离子的激发主要是通过电子与原子、离子的碰撞传能以及电子与离子的复合产生,并用其定性地解释了所观察的实验现象。  相似文献

A radiation source based on the emission of electrons and positrons moving in a short bent crystal has been recently discovered. The emission of particles is due to oscillations of their trajectories near the point of reflections, where trajectories approach a tangent to bent atomic planes. In the experiment performed with the secondary electron beam of the U70 accelerator, it has been shown that the emission intensity can be increased by using a sequence of oriented bent crystals. Passing through six 2.5-mm-long silicon crystals, 7-GeV electrons lose on average 2.0 GeV on emission. This value is several times larger than that in an amorphous medium. Thus, an intense source of radiation has been demonstrated with prospects of application at accelerators.  相似文献

A mechanism of formation of electromagnetic radiation that accompanies α decay and is associated with the emission of photons by electrons of atomic shells due to the scattering of α particles by these atoms (polarization bremsstrahlung) is proposed. It is shown that, when the photon energy is no higher than the energy of K electrons of an atom, polarization bremsstrahlung makes a significant contribution to the bremsstrahlung in α decay.  相似文献

Terahertz emission accompanying heating of two-dimensional electrons by a strong electric field applied along size-quantized GaAs/AlGaAs layers is observed and investigated. The emission is due to indirect optical transitions of hot electrons in the bottom size-quantization band. The experimentally obtained emission spectra are compared with the spectra calculated taking into account scattering of electrons by optical phonons, impurities, and interfacial roughness and electron-electron scattering. 报道了在100TW fs激光器上采用电子磁谱仪和光学CCD积分成像相机分别对激光-固体靶相互作用在靶背方向产生的超热电子能谱及其光学渡越辐射进行的测量。能谱测量结果显示:超热电子能谱呈单温类-麦克斯韦分布,拟合的温度为107keV;光学渡越辐射(OTR)测量结果显示:OTR是由于超热电子输运穿越固体靶所致,而辐射区域呈圆盘状、有发散角、有光强分布;如果考虑超热电子的产生和加热机制,则占主导地位的加热机制是共振吸收对电子的加热。  相似文献

采用时间与空间分辨的光谱测量技术,测量了在低真空下XeCl紫外激光烧蚀金属Cu诱导产生等离子体发光羽的发射光谱随时间和空间的强度分布,利用快速同步照相的方法获得了发光羽的相片,结果发现发光羽的不同区域有不同的颜色特征。根据实验结果建立了非常可能的激光烧蚀诱导发光的理论模型,认为不同区域的主要发光机理不同,连续辐射背景光来自近靶处高能电子的运动而产生的轫致辐射;原子线的产生来自电子碰撞传能以及电子与离子的复合激发;离子线的产生来自电子与离子碰撞传能激发。此模型不仅能解释单一激发模型所能解释的实验现象,而且还能够很好地解释单一模型所不能解释的实验现象,低真空下紫外激光烧蚀铜诱导发光的机理与常压下相似,在此实验条件下可以更准确地揭示诱导发光的机理。  相似文献

Interaction of laser plulses with intensities up to 1025?W/cm2 with overdense plasma targets is investigated via three-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations. At these intensities, radiation of electrons in the laser field becomes important. Electrons transfer a significant fraction of their energy to γ-photons and obtain strong feedbacks due to radiation reaction (RR) force. The RR effect on the distribution of laser energies among three main species: electrons, ions and photons is studied. The RR and electron-positron pair creation are implemented by a QED model. As the laser intensity inreases, the ratio of laser energy coupled to electrons drops while the one for γ-photons reaches up to 35%. Two distinctive plasma density regimes of the high-density carbon target and low-density solid hydrogen target are identified from the laser energy partitions and angular distributions of photons. The power-laws of absorption efficiency versus laser intensity and the transition of photon divergence are revealed. These show enhanced generation of γ-photon beams with improved collimation in the relativistically transparent regime. A new effect of transverse trapping of electrons inside the laser field caused by the RR force is observed: electrons can be unexpectedly confined by the intense laser field when the RR force is comparable to the Lorentz force. Finally, the RR effect and different regions of photon emission in laser-foil interactions are clarified.  相似文献
