Adiabatic demagnetization refrigerators have been built and installed in small portable liquid helium cryostats to test the feasibility of this method of cooling infrared bolometric detectors to temperatures below 0.3K. Performance has been achieved which suggests that bolometer temperatures of 0.2K can be maintained for periods of 60 hours. Applications to sensitive infrared detection from ground based telescopes and space satellites are discussed. Design data are given which permit the evaluation of refrigerator performance for a variety of design parameters.  相似文献

温度是最基本的物理量之一,在科学研究中,将研究对象放置在低温环境中是一个非常常见的方法。更低的温度有助于发现低能量尺度的量子多体系统的新演生现象,也有助于在更低的热噪声下实现更高的实验分辨率。低温实验工作者有两个基本任务,一个是在低温环境下发现新的物理,另一个是提供低温环境和创造新的低温环境。在液氦或者干式制冷提供前级预冷环境的基础上,核绝热去磁等制冷原理被提出和使用。低温设备的无液氦消耗化,是与氦液化和稀释制冷同等重要的低温制冷突破。氦于1908年被液化,20世纪60年代中国有能力液化氦;同个时期,稀释制冷机被发明,中国近期正在发展稀释制冷技术。文章讨论了核绝热去磁制冷的基本原理,回顾了干式核绝热去磁技术的出现背景,并介绍了这种设备的一次搭建尝试。这次在中国的尝试,成功地实现了世界最低温度的无液氦消耗制冷机。  相似文献

Infrared thermal imaging, using cooled and uncooled detectors, is continuously gaining attention because of its wide military and civilian applications. Futuristic requirements of high temperature operation, multispectral imaging, lower cost, higher resolution (using pixels) etc. are driving continuous developments in the field. Although there are good reviews in the literature by Rogalski [1–4], Martyniuk et al. [5] and Rogalski et al. [6] on various types of infrared detectors and technologies, this paper focuses on some of the important recent trends and diverse applications in this field and discusses some important fundamentals of these detectors.  相似文献

A Fourier spectrometer has been developed for determining the optical constants of highly absorbing solids in the far infrared at temperatures down to 4.2K from measurements of their amplitude and phase reflection spectra. The spectrometer has been constructed almost entirely from commercially available components, and its performance is illustrated with measurements of the optical constants of NaCl at 6K.  相似文献

The high resolution absorption spectrum of methane has been recorded at liquid nitrogen temperature by direct absorption spectroscopy between 1.62 and 1.71 μm (5852-6181 cm−1) using a newly developed cryogenic cell and a series of distributed feedback (DFB) laser diodes. The minimum value of the measured line intensities is on the order of 3 × 10−26 cm/molecule The investigated spectral range corresponds to the high energy part of the tetradecad dominated by the 2ν3 band for which a theoretical treatment is not yet available. The positions and strengths at 81 K of 2187 transitions were obtained from the spectrum analysis. From the values of the line strength at liquid nitrogen and room temperatures, the low energy values of 845 transitions could be determined. The obtained results are discussed in relation with the previous work of Margolis and compared to the line list provided by the HITRAN database.  相似文献

A circular flame atomizer system using a quartz T flame adapator has been developed for the direct determination of mercury. A thermospray nebulizer was used as a sample introduction device to the atomizer. This design gave a sensitivity (1% absorption) of 0.20 ppm and detection limits of 10 ppb at 1.0 mL/min solvent flow at 253.7 nm. The absolute sensitivity was 25 ng and absolute detection limits was 1.5 ng.  相似文献

A series of bulk polycrystalline La0.7Ca0.2Sr0.1MnO3 (LCSMO)/Pd composites were prepared by chemical plating and structural, electrical, magnetic, and magnetoresistance (MR) properties were investigated. It is found that Pd additions are uniformly distributed on the grain boundaries of the LCSMO grains, which decrease the resistivity and the saturation magnetic moment of the matrix. An interesting phenomenon is observed that at a given field, when the plating time increases, the MR increases at low addition level (0>t (plating time)<40 min) and decreases at high addition level (t>40 min), indicating an optimal plating time of 40 min, at which the MR value is maximum. Our analysis suggests that the improvement of grain boundaries originating from Pd addition plays an important role in enhancing the MR.  相似文献

分析和数值计算了利用BFEL装置的30MeV射频直线加速器提供的4ps电子束团产生的宽带连续的强相干同步辐射.由讨论可知,该束团可直接用以产生毫米波段相干同步辐射;通过压缩束团宽度至1ps甚至亚ps,可获得宽带连续(覆盖远红外—毫米波段)的强相干辐射.由于这种辐射位于相干辐射的珍稀或空白区,因而具有极高的应用价值.在该波长范围内,相干辐射功率约为非相干辐射的108—109倍.依赖于所选的波长范围和接收角,辐射功率在几百微瓦至毫瓦量级.最后给出辐射产生和束团测量的实验构想.  相似文献

Bi0.5(Na0.7K0.2Li0.1)0.5TiO3 (BNKLT) thin films were prepared on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. The films prepared were examined by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The effects of the processing parameters, such as oxygen pressure, substrate temperature and laser power, on the crystal structure, surface morphology, roughness and deposition rates of the thin films were investigated. It was found that the substrate temperature of 600 °C and oxygen pressure of 30 Pa are the optimized technical parameters for the growth of textured film, and all the thin films prepared have granular structure, homogeneous grain size and smooth surfaces.  相似文献

Pressure broadened (1 atm. N2) laboratory spectra of benzene vapor (in natural abundance) were recorded at 278, 298, and 323 K, covering 600-6500 cm−1. The spectra were recorded at a resolution of 0.112 cm−1 using a commercial Fourier transform spectrometer. The pressure of each benzene vapor sample was measured using high-precision capacitance manometers, and a minimum of nine sample pressures were recorded for each temperature. The samples were introduced into a temperature-stabilized static cell (19.94(1) cm pathlength) that was hard-mounted into the spectrometer. From these data a fit composite spectrum was calculated for each temperature. The number density for the three composite spectra was normalized to 296 K. The spectra give the absorption coefficient (cm2 molecule−1, naperian units) as a function of wavenumber. From these spectra integrated band intensities (cm molecule−1 and atm−1 cm−2) for intervals corresponding to the stronger benzene bands were calculated and were compared with previously reported values. We discuss and quantify error sources and estimate our systematic (NIST Type-B) errors to be 3% for the stronger bands. The measured absorption coefficients and integrated band intensities are useful for remote sensing applications such as measurements of planetary atmospheres and assessment of the environmental impact of terrestrial oil fire emissions.  相似文献

High-transport critical current density (Jc-oxide)>500 kA/cm2 at 4.2 K, 10 T can be obtained for Bi-2212/Ag tapes fabricated by using pre-annealing and intermediate rolling (PAIR) and melt-solidification process. In this paper, we report high-temperature properties of PAIR-processed Bi-2212/Ag multilayer tape in order to show their potential for practical applications operated at cryocooling temperatures. Magnetic field dependence and angular dependence of critical current (Ic) are investigated at temperatures ranging 10–50 K by using helium gas cooling and liquid neon. Field-temperature curves for Ic=0.2 and 2.0 A are also determined in order to show the approximation of the irreversible field. High-temperature performance of the tape is attractive to consider future applications. For example, the best sample carries Ic=267 A (engineering-Jc=303 A/mm2, Jc-oxide=151 kA/cm2) and 92 A (104 A/mm2, 52 kA/cm2) at 27.1 K (in liquid neon), in magnetic fields (parallel to the tape surface) of 2 and 10 T, respectively. Engineering-Jc of 100 A/mm2 is obtained even in the perpendicular field of 0.5 T at 27.1 K.  相似文献
