The double Sine-Gordon equation (DSG) with arbitrary constant coefficients is studied by F-expansion method, which can be thought of as an over-all generalization of the Jacobi elliptic function expansion since F here stands for every one of the Jacobi elliptic functions (even other functions). We first derive three kinds of the generic solutions of the DSG as well as the generic solutions of the Sine-Gordon equation (SG), then in terms of Appendix A, many exact periodic wave solutions, solitary wave solutions and trigonometric function solutions of the DSG are separated from its generic solutions. The corresponding results of the SG, which is a special case of the DSG, can also be obtained.  相似文献

We treat the nonlinear Klein-Gordon (NKG) equation as the Sine-Gordon (SG) equation, perturbed by a higher order term. It is proved that most small-amplitude finite-gap solutions of the SG equation, which satisfy either Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions, persist in the NKG equation and jointly form partial central manifolds, which are “Lipschitz manifolds with holes”. Our proof is based on an analysis of the finite-gap solutions of the boundary problems for SG equation by means of the Schottky uniformization approach, and an application of an infinite-dimensional KAM-theory. We consider the perturbed elliptic Sine-Gordon equation on an interval-ut+γsinu(t)=μf(u(t)),tI := (-T, T),u(t) > 0,tI,uT)=0 where λ, μ>0 are parameters andT>0 is a constant. By applying variational methods subject to the constraint depending on λ, we obtain eigenpairs (μ,u)=(μ(λ),u λ) which solve this eigenvalue problem for a given λ>0. Then we study the asymptotic behavior ofu λ and μ(λ) as λ→∞. Especially, we study the location of interior transition layers ofu λ as λ→∞. We propose a geometric interpretation of solutions of the system generalizing the well-known sine-Gordon equation. The method of normal spline-collocation (NSC), applicable to a wide class of ordinary linear singular differential and integral equations, is specified for the boundary value problems for differential-algebraic equations of second order on the number semi-axis. The method consists in minimization of a norm of the collocation systems' solutions in an appropriate Hilbert–Sobolev space. The NSC method does not use the notion of differentiation index and it is applicable to DAEs of any index as well as to equations not reducible to the normal form. The problems on the infinite interval can be solved in two ways. The first way is based on the use of the original space of functions defined on the semi-axis, and the second way is based on a singular transformation of the semi-axis into the unit segment. A new reproducing kernel, that provides the first way, is presented. An algorithm to create a non-uniform collocation grid is described.  相似文献

Let X be a rearrangement invariant function space on [0,1]. We consider the subspace Radi X of X which consists of all functions of the form , where xk are arbitrary independent functions from X and rk are usual Rademacher functions independent of {xk}. We prove that Radi X is complemented in X if and only if both X and its Köthe dual space X possess the so-called Kruglov property. As a consequence we show that the last conditions guarantee that X is isomorphic to some rearrangement invariant function space on [0,∞). This strengthens earlier results derived in different approach in [W.B. Johnson, B. Maurey, G. Schechtman, L. Tzafriri, Symmetric structures in Banach spaces, Mem. Amer. Math. We consider the functional n = k=o n (S k ) where S1=0, Sk= i=1 k i (k1) and(x)=1 for x0,(x) = 0 for x<0. It is readily seen that n is the time spent by the random walk Sn, n0, on the positive semi-axis after n steps. For the simplest walk the asymptotics of the distribution P (n = k) for n and k, as well as for k = O(n) and k/n<1, was studied in [1]. We consider a parabolic sine-Gordon model with periodic boundary conditions. We prove a fundamental maximum principle which gives a priori uniform control of the solution. In the one-dimensional case we classify all bounded steady states and exhibit some explicit solutions. For the numerical discretization we employ first order IMEX, and second order BDF2 discretization without any additional stabilization term. We rigorously prove the energy stability of the numerical schemes under nearly sharp and quite mild time step constraints. We demonstrate the striking similarity of the parabolic sine-Gordon model with the standard Allen-Cahn equations with double well potentials.  相似文献

In this paper we present Perov type fixed point theorems for contractive mappings in Gheorghiu’s sense on spaces endowed with a family of vector-valued pseudo-metrics. Applications to systems of integral equations are given to illustrate the theory. The examples also prove the advantage of using vector-alued pseudo-metrics and matrices that are convergent to zero, for the study of systems of equations.  相似文献

Initial-boundary value problems for sine-Gordon and complex sine-Gordon equations in a semi-strip are treated. The evolution of the Weyl function and a uniqueness result are obtained for the complex sine-Gordon equation. The evolution of the Weyl function as well as an existence result and a procedure to recover solution are given for the sine-Gordon equation. It is shown that for a wide class of examples the solutions of the sine-Gordon equation are unbounded in the quarter-plane.  相似文献

An invariant representation of the modulation equations for the sinh- and sine-Gordon wavetrains is derived. A simple derivation of the representation which makes fundamental use of squared eigenfunctions is presented. This representation is used to place the modulation equations in Riemann invariant form and to cast them in a Hamiltonian form. The multiphase sinh-Gordon study is complete, while the sine-Gordon theory for more than one phase possesses technical difficulties which are described in the text. Explicit results on real two-phase sine-Gordon waves are included in Section VI.  相似文献
