A general theoretical framework is presented to explain the formation of the phase signal in an x-ray microscope integrated with a grating interferometer, which simultaneously enables the high spatial resolution imaging and the improved image contrast. By using this theory, several key parameters of phase contrast imaging can be predicted, for instance, the fringe visibility and period, and the conversion condition from the differential phase imaging (DPI) to the phase difference imaging (PDI). Additionally, numerical simulations are performed with certain x-ray optical components and imaging geometry. Comparison with the available experimental measurement [Appl. Phys. Lett. 113 063105 (2018)] demonstrates the accuracy of this developed quantitative analysis method of x-ray phase-sensitive microscope imaging.  相似文献

We study the wave-particle duality in a general Mach-Zehnder interferometer with an asymmetric beam splitter from the viewpoint of quantum information theory. The correlations (including the classical correlation and the quantum correlation) between the particle and the which-path detector are derived when they are in pure state or mixed state at the output of Mach-Zehnder interferometer. It is found that the fringe visibility and the correlations are effected by the asymmetric beam splitter and the input state of the particle. The complementary relations between the fringe visibility and the correlations are also presented.  相似文献

In this paper we present an actively switched fiber laser with an all-fiber long-period grating-based interferometer used as an intra-cavity loss modulator. The modulator consists of two equal long-period gratings written sequentially in the same piece of a double-clad optical fiber. One of the gratings is fixed onto a piezoceramic cylinder producing fast modulation of the interferometer transmission spectrum. The laser demonstrates a stable regime of pulsed emission at repetition rates in the range of tens of kHz.  相似文献

X射线光栅相衬成像存在系统复杂、成像效率低、步进精度要求高、光栅加工难度大等问题.本文设计了一种双能阵列X射线源和双能分析光栅,并应用于X射线光栅相衬成像,提出了一种双能X射线光栅相衬成像系统,阐述了该成像系统的成像原理和相位信息提取方法.提出的成像系统不需要精密步进平台,精简了成像系统,避免了步进误差导致的成像质量降低问题;两次曝光就可以成像,提高了成像效率;双能阵列X射线源、双能分析光栅的应用避免了源光栅、分析光栅难以加工的问题.对提出的成像系统及其相位提取方法进行了仿真,仿真结果显示成像系统可以正常成像,提取到的检测样本的X射线相衬成像相位一阶导数分布与相关文献实验所得结果一致.  相似文献

An X‐ray grating interferometer was installed at the BL13W beamline of Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) for biomedical imaging applications. Compared with imaging results from conventional absorption‐based micro‐computed tomography, this set‐up has shown much better soft tissue imaging capability. In particular, using the set‐up, the carotid artery and the carotid vein in a formalin‐fixed mouse can be visualized in situ without contrast agents, paving the way for future applications in cancer angiography studies. The overall results have demonstrated the broad prospects of the existing set‐up for biomedical imaging applications at SSRF.  相似文献

针对在普通实验室和医院实现40—100keVX射线相衬成像的需求,考虑到成像系统参数、X射线源空间相干特性及光栅衍射效率,设计出硅基相位光栅结构参数.利用我们已发展的光助电化学刻蚀技术研制出直径为5英寸的相位光栅,其空间周期为5.6μm,线宽为2.8μm,深度为40—70μm.在理论分析的基础上,通过提高硅片两端有效工作电压和修正Lehmann电流密度公式,解决了实际刻蚀过程中出现的钻蚀问题.由实验结果可知,本方案对制作大面积高精度相位光栅十分有效。  相似文献

Phase‐sensitive X‐ray imaging methods can provide substantially increased contrast over conventional absorption‐based imaging, and therefore new and otherwise inaccessible information. Differential phase‐contrast (DPC) imaging, which uses a grating interferometer and a phase‐stepping technique, has been integrated into TOMCAT, a beamline dedicated to tomographic microscopy and coherent radiology experiments at the Swiss Light Source. Developments have been made focusing on the fast acquisition and post‐processing of data to enable a high‐throughput of samples, with obvious advantages, also through increasing the efficiency of the detecting system, of helping to reduce radiation dose imparted to the sample. A novel aquarium design allows a vertical rotation axis below the sample with measurements performed in aqueous environment. Optimization of the data acquisition procedure enables a full phase volume (1024 × 1024 pixels × 1000 projections × 9 phase steps, i.e. 9000 projections in total) to be acquired in 20 min (with a pixel size of 7.4 µm), and the subsequent post‐processing has been integrated into the beamline pipeline for sinogram generation. Local DPC tomography allows one to focus with higher magnification on a particular region of interest of a sample without the presence of local tomography reconstruction artifacts. Furthermore, `widefield' imaging is shown for DPC scans for the first time, enabling the field of view of the imaging system to be doubled for samples that are larger than the magnification allows. A case study is illustrated focusing on the visualization of soft tissue features, and particularly the substantia nigra of a rat brain. Darkfield images, based on local X‐ray scattering, can also be extracted from a grating‐based DPC scan: an example of the advantages of darkfield contrast is shown and the potential of darkfield X‐ray tomography is discussed.  相似文献

Two phase extraction methods which are based separately on phase-stepping and shifting curve are mainly used in phase-sensitive imaging in gating interferometry to determine the x-ray phase shift induced by an object in the beam. In this paper, the authors perform a full comparative analysis and present the main virtues and limitations of these two methods according to the theoretical analysis of the grating interferometry.  相似文献

We study a matter wave double-slit experiment with unequal aperture widths in order to evaluate the effect of the Gouy phase on the visibility/predictability. While the predictability changes as one increases the width of one of the slits, the visibility receives a contribution from the Gouy phase at a specific point in the detection screen. Consequently such apparatus constitutes a simple device for measuring the Gouy phase of matter waves. We illustrate it numerically for neutrons.  相似文献

Metrological feasibilities of a high-resolution grating interferometer (GI) based on a transverse Zeeman laser are investigated. When the grating pitch equals 20 μm, a resolution of 0.7 nm is obtained by means of a heterodyne signal processing method. The comparison of two approaches for determining the residual nonlinearity is presented. One is to evaluate the maximum residual error by determining the amplitude modulation degree of the measurement signal. The other is to do a high precision calibration with a differential dual-frequency interferometer that has a higher precision. The experimental results show that the nonlinearity is no more than 25 nm which fits well with the estimating result. Analysis of the depolarization effect of the grating indicates that it has little influence on the measurement accuracy.  相似文献

A method based on the combination of finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm and Fourier transformation was proposed to analyze the Fraunhofer diffraction of gratings. Polarization dependence of the Fraunhofer diffraction of a one-dimensional metallic grating with period less than 8 times the incident wavelength was studied. Some special characteristics were found. The polarization dependence is related to period value, slit width, and thickness of the grating, and the missing orders predicted by scalar analysis appear. Besides, if the period of a grating is larger than 8 times the wavelength but the slit width or the size of the opaque portion of the grating is close to the wavelength, diffraction of the grating also becomes polarization dependent.  相似文献

The design and fabrication of holographic gratings of frequency variable from 50 to 750 lines/mm over length of 75 mm have been described. An application of these variable frequency gratings as a lateral-shear interferometer has also been suggested. The variable shear interferometer is found to be useful for testing of lenses with a maximum sensitivity in the detection of wavefront aberrations. Comparison of single-frequency grating having uniform pitch of 100 lines/mm with a grating of frequency variable from 59 to 220 lines/mm using an average pitch of 100 lines/mm over a small area as a lateral-shear interferometer have been made. Our experimental observations show that a small area of average pitch of 100 lines/mm on the grating having a variable frequency of 59–220 lines/mm over a distance of 75 mm behaves as a lateral-shear interferometer in the same way as any area of pitch of 100 lines/mm on the grating of uniform pitch of 100 lines/mm.  相似文献

We report the evaluation of the topography of an object with projected fringes generated with a lateral cyclic shear interferometer (CSI) and we then compare the topography recovery obtained with the proposed method with the one obtained from a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). We also study how the fringes visibility along the z axis affects the retrieval. Finally, we discuss the advantages and drawbacks of this profilometry system.  相似文献
