Abstract

The mass ejection from shock-loaded free surfaces of steel specimens under several condition of machining were measured using the piezoelectric quartz crystal gauge technique. At shock pressure of 45 GPa, the ejected mass quantities of steel with respect to the surface smooth finishes 0.4 μm (machinework) and 0.11 μm (vibration- roll compression) are 0.2 g/m2 and 0.15 g/m2, respectively. The ejected mass quantities of steel with respect to the surface smooth finishes 0.2 μm (polishing) and 0.1 μm (abrasiveness) are very small. Experiments show that the mass ejection is dependent on conditions of free surfaces. Surfaces defects, such as pits, scratches and machine marks are thought to be the primary reason for mass ejection.  相似文献

Thick MgB2 (magnesium diborate) films, ~10 μm, with T c (onset) = 39.4 K and T c (zero) = 39.2 K have been successfully grown on a stainless steel substrate using a technique called hybrid physical-chemical deposition (HPCVD). The deposition rate is high, ~6.7 nm/s. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) indicates that it is highly (101) and c-axis oriented. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images demonstrate that the film grown is in “island-mode”. The uniform superconducting phase in the film is shown by the M-T measurement.  相似文献

 为了考察材料晶体学特性对表面熔坑形成机制的影响,利用强流脉冲电子束(HCPEB)对喷丸前、后的304奥氏体不锈钢进行表面辐照处理,对HCPEB诱发的表面熔坑形貌进行了详细的表征。实验结果表明,HCPEB辐照后样品表面形成了大量的火山状熔坑,熔坑数密度和熔坑尺寸随电子束能量的增加而减小,材料表面的杂质或夹杂物容易成为熔坑的核心,并在熔坑形成的喷发过程中被清除,起到净化表面的作用。此外,喷丸前、后样品表面熔坑数密度遵循相似的分布规律,喷丸处理使熔坑数密度显著增大,表明材料的晶体学特性对表面熔坑形成有重要的影响,晶界、位错等结构缺陷是熔坑形核的择优位置。  相似文献

在回顾和总结强脉冲电子束表面改性实验的基础上, 利用有限元数值计算方法对强脉冲电子束辐照铝和304不锈钢产生的温度场进行模拟, 给出了靶的近表面区域流体状态存在的特征尺度和特征时间, 并对不同材料特性下熔坑的产生原因进行了讨论. 采用两相流模型, 通过水平集方法和有限元方法结合的计算流体力学模拟了熔坑和表面突起形貌在表面处于熔融状态下的运动特征, 通过和实验数据相对比, 验证了对于高黏度, 高表面张力的高熔点金属, 表面处于流体状态下的张力驱动效应是熔坑等表面形貌演化的重要原因.  相似文献

Using a helium neon laser a relationship was established between specular reflection and surface roughness for fifteen stainless steel mill finish plates and twenty-two electroformed nickel surfaces. Results showed that, at high angles of incidence, the specular reflectance was independent of the alloy type or finish process. Moreover, as the roughness increased, the specular reflectance decreased for both alloys. Using the Hensler and Tanner expression the rms roughness was determined directly for those samples having roughness less than 0.4 μm. The present investigation substantiates specular reflectance as an on-line optical technique to measure the surface roughness of relatively smooth test surfaces.  相似文献

This work presents the temporal and spacial resolution of a new infrared (IR) converter based on thermal radiation emission. Using this converter, it is possible to measure the intensity distribution of laser beams with a wavelength between 1 and 20 μm. For this purpose, the laser radiation (for example, 10.6 μm) is converted into a wavelength coverage of 800–1100 nm. In the actual converter thin metal foils provide the basis of this method. The metal foils are heated to a temperature of 600–800 K. The emitted radiation of the foils defers into the near-infrared (NIR) area, thus enabling detection by camera systems based on silicate. Additional heat input of the laser results in a local temperature increase, and then the increase in radiation intensity can be measured. Typical thicknesses of converter metal foils are <5μm. Foil materials with a low thermal conductivity, good absorption of the measured laser beams, and a high melting temperature are particularly suitable. These parameters are well shown by using stainless steels, such as INOX (stainless steel 1.4310 CrNi steel). Using this material, it is possible to gain a maximum spatial resolution of 250 μm and a temporal resolution of 12.5 Hz, by a measurement range from 1 to 100 W/cm2. The maximum measured intensity is 125 W/cm2.  相似文献

We demonstrate colorizing of stainless steel surfaces by femtosecond laser induced periodic microholes and micro/nano-gratings on sample surfaces. Suitable adjustment of laser induced features on stainless steel surfaces offer a variety of colors, including multi-color, gold, and black. We also report that multi-color metal surfaces exhibit diverse colors when they are exposed to the incident light of different incident and azimuthal angles. Finally, we briefly explain how the femtosecond laser induced micro/nano scale features introduce different colors on stainless steel surfaces.  相似文献

Electroless Ag-polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite coatings were prepared on stainless steel sheets. The existence and distribution of PTFE in the coatings were analysed with an energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX). The contact angle values and surface energies of the Ag-PTFE coatings, silver coating, stainless steel, titanium and E. coli Rosetta were measured. The experimental results showed that stainless steel surfaces coated with Ag-PTFE reduced E. coli attachment by 94-98%, compared with silver coating, stainless steel or titanium surfaces. The anti-bacterial mechanism of the Ag-PTFE composite coatings was explained with the extended Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) theory. The anticorrosion properties of the Ag-PTFE composite coatings in 0.9% NaCl solution were studied. The results showed that the corrosion resistance of the Ag-PTFE composite coatings was superior to that of stainless steel 316L.  相似文献

Laser microstructuring of steel surfaces for tribological applications   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Laser technique is employed to improve substantially the tribological behavior of microstructured stainless steel surfaces. The laser-generated patterns consisting of precisely ablated microcraters were produced using a flash lamp pumped, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The rims of resolidified melt around the craters are typical features of laser-produced microstructures and the laser parameters were established where their extent was notably reduced. The remaining rims could easily be removed by gentle polishing. The laser-structured substrates were tribologically tested by a sliding tribometer under standard conditions. The blow of a steel striker against the marble surface induces strain waves and electromagnetic emission. Simultaneously, microcracks appear in the marble single crystal with excited free CO 2 ? radicals at the microcrack banks. Relaxation of electronic excitation leads to the emergence of fractoluminescence bursts. The burst intensity is proportional to the area of the microcrack surfaces. Measurements show that the linear size of the microcracks varies from ~2 to ~47 μm.  相似文献

结合谐衍射光学元件特殊的消热差以及对波面进行任意整形的特点,针对现代最先进的像元尺寸为30 μm、像元数320×240的红外双色探测器,提出了一种轻小型双光谱超宽温度红外探测成像系统方案,利用折射/谐衍射结构实现了超宽温范围内的被动式消热差红外成像探测,仅用三片镜子的单结构就可实现系统在3.8~4.2和8.8~11.2 μm双光谱处在-120 ℃~200 ℃温度范围内同时探测。系统仅使用锗和硒化锌两种材料,引入了一个非球面和一个谐衍射面, 实现了消热差、消色差和结构简单轻量化,设计结果表明,该系统在-120~200 ℃温度范围内, 3.8~4.2和8.8~11.2 μm光谱处的最大均方根半径值分别为19.07和17.75 μm,小于红外探测器的像元尺寸30 μm,在红外探测器两个像元内,3.8~4.2和8.8~11.2 μm光谱处的能量集中度分别优于88.7%和82.4%,成像质量良好,方案工程实现性好,设计方法和设计结果合理可行。  相似文献

A study of porous surfaces having micropores significantly smaller than laser spot on the stainless steel 304L sample surface induced by a picosecond regenerative amplified laser, operating at 1064 nm, is presented. Variations in the interaction regime of picosecond laser pulses with stainless steel surfaces at peak irradiation fluences(Fpk=0.378–4.496 J/cm2) with scanning speeds(v=125–1000 μm/s) and scan line spacings(s=0–50 μm) have been observed and thoroughly investigated. It is observed that interactions within these parameters allows for the generation of well-defined structured surfaces. To investigate the formation mechanism of sub-focus micropores, the influence of key processing parameters has been analyzed using a pre-designed laser pulse scanning layout. Appearances of sub-focus ripples and micropores with the variation of laser peak fluence, scanning speed and scan line spacing have been observed. The dependencies of surface structures on these interaction parameters have been preliminarily verified. With the help of the experimental results obtained, interaction parameters for fabrication of large area homogeneous porous structures with the feature sizes in the range of 3–15 μm are determined.  相似文献

DC pulsed arcs, between face to face opposite electrodes of graphite and stainless steel at pressures varying from 50 to 500 Pa into nitrogen environment, with a current and voltage of 300 A and 167 V, respectively, and a pulsed arc time of 30 ms were produced.Several consecutive craters, created by explosive way and by inclusions over the graphite cathode were found. These are located principally at the outskirts of the center and at the half of the graphite cathode radius; they are originated because of the cathode spots chaotic movement. The most representative craters have sizes over than 300 μm and some melted sectors were observed by means of the SEM technique, corroborating that there are temperatures higher or equal than the melting point of the graphite. The film surface is composed by small spheres with structures similar to the ones in the cauliflower diamond. Craters in some melted sectors on the anode surface were observed.  相似文献

在回顾和总结现有强脉冲离子束诊断技术和能量沉积模型的基础上, 结合红外成像诊断分析, 基于能量平衡, 提出了强脉冲离子束在固体靶中功率密度分布模型, 并采用蒙特卡罗方法对其进行计算. 以该功率密度模型作为源项, 使用有限元分析方法模拟强脉冲离子束入射100 μm不锈钢靶后内部温度场在毫秒时间范围内的分布和演化. 结果显示, 在微秒时间范围内, 热场以存在于近表面区域数倍于离子射程范围内的冲击热场为主要特征; 而在毫秒时间范围内, 靶的前后表面(纵向)已达到温度平衡, 且靶后表面温度场和入射前表面的离子束横截面能量密度具有空间分布的相似性. 这证明了, 在采用具有毫秒响应速度的红外拍摄系统的情况下, 背面红外诊断技术可以实现以较高的精度对强脉冲离子束横截面的能量分布进行诊断和分析.  相似文献

 采取355 nm激光脉冲辐照熔石英样品,利用Nomarski微分干涉差显微镜、原子力显微镜和扫描电子显微镜观测手段对前后表面产生的损伤点进行了观察分析。对前后表面损伤形态做出详细的描述和分类,从理论上对每种损伤类型产生的条件与机理做出推测。实验结果表明:熔石英前表面存在小麻点群损伤和星状裂纹损伤两种损伤形态,横向尺寸分别为0.8~2.5和1.0~5.5 μm;后表面存在小麻点群损伤、壳状剥离损伤和火山口3种损伤形态,损伤横向尺寸分别为0.48~1.33,4~20和12~30 μm。实验证明了1 μm尺度损伤点的产生与再沉积层密切相关。  相似文献

Bacterial adhesion to stainless steel surfaces is one of the major reason causing the cross-contamination and infection in many practical applications. An approach to solve this problem is to enhance the antibacterial properties on the surface of stainless steel. In this paper, novel antibacterial stainless steel surfaces with different copper content have been prepared by a plasma surface alloying technique at various gas pressures. The microstructure of the alloyed surfaces was investigated using glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy (GDOES) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The viability of bacteria attached to the antibacterial surfaces was tested using the spread plate method. The antibacterial mechanism of the alloyed surfaces was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results indicate that gas pressure has a great influence on the surface elements concentration and the depth of the alloyed layer. The maximum copper concentration in the alloyed surface obtained at the gas pressure of 60 Pa is about 7.1 wt.%. This alloyed surface exhibited very strong antibacterial ability, and an effective reduction of 98% of Escherichia coli (E. coli) within 1 h was achieved by contact with the alloyed surface. The maximum thickness of the copper alloyed layer obtained at 45 Pa is about 6.5 μm. Although the rate of reduction for E. coli of this alloyed surface was slower than that of the alloyed surface with the copper content about 7.1 wt.% over the first 3 h, few were able to survive more than 12 h and the reduction reached over 99.9%. The XPS analysis results indicated that the copper ions were released when the copper alloyed stainless steel in contact with bacterial solution, which is an important factor for killing bacteria. Based on an overall consideration of bacterial killing rate and durability, the alloyed surface with the copper content of 2.5 wt.% and the thickness of about 6.5 μm obtained at the gas pressure of 45 Pa is expected to be useful as antimicrobial materials that may have a promising future in antimicrobial applications.  相似文献

2 O3. Based on Auger Electron Spectroscopy analyses and optical microscopic observations, γ-Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 are formed on the stainless steel surface in laser cleaning in the air. Since laser can induce high temperature rise in stainless steel surfaces, the above phenomenon can be explained by a thermochemical reaction between oxygen in the air and the stainless steel. With increasing laser fluences, the temperature rise in the irradiated area of stainless steel surface increases, which enhances oxygen diffusion into the surface and oxidation reaction within the irradiated area. In order to avoid discoloration of stainless steel surfaces, a vacuum system was used to reduce the oxidation reaction between oxygen and stainless steel. Fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces induced by femtosecond laser is a research hotspot of superhydrophobic surface studies nowadays. We present a simple and easily-controlled method for fabricating stainless steel-based superhydrophobic surfaces. The method consists of microstructuring stainless steel surfaces by irradiating samples with femtosecond laser pulses and silanizing the surfaces. By low laser fluence, we fabricated typical laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) on the submicron level. The apparent contact angle (CA) on the surface is 150.3°. With laser fluence increasing, we fabricated periodic ripples and periodic cone-shaped spikes on the micron scale, both covered with LIPSS. The stainless steel-based surfaces with micro- and submicron double-scale structure have higher apparent CAs. On the surface of double-scale structure, the maximal apparent CA is 166.3° and at the same time, the sliding angle (SA) is 4.2°.  相似文献

 用石英晶体传感器技术,测量了冲击波作用下铝合金(Ly-12)和纯铅样品自由表面的微物质喷射量。在冲击压力为32 GPa时,测得光洁度为3.2、0.4、0.1 μm的铝合金的微物质喷射量分别为1.53~3.28 g/m2,0.2~0.3 g/m2和0.053~0.096 g/m2,对光洁度为3.2 μm的纯铅样品,在压力为13 GPa和47 GPa时,微物质喷射量分别微26.4~42.4 g/m2和183~328 g/m2。在最高冲击压力约为20 GPa时,做了多次冲击下的微物质喷射量测量,发现比单次冲击加载下的喷射量有很大的减少。结果表明,微物质喷射量与自由表面的加工条件、局部熔化和加载方式等因素有关。  相似文献
