The electron-ion instability is excited in counterstreaming ion beams and plasma system. The instability is a new type of standing oscillations whose wavelength is given by D/n, where D is the distance between boundaries and n is an integer. The amplitude is controlled by a difference between the velocities of the beams, which changes the phase of a feedback loop. The internal feedback is caused by a reflected wave and by a coupling between the boundaries. Temporal evolution of the instability is measured and is found to agree with numerical solutions of the Van der Pol equation including a feedback term. A measured growth rate is proportional to the square of the oscillation amplitude.  相似文献

在纯粹BZ反应体系的三变量Oregonator模型及电极过程动力学的基础上,建立了电极BZ反应体系的动力学模型.并在外控弱周期约束近似下,对这类电极BZ反应体系的慢流型上准定态进行了线性化稳定性分析;同时进一步对该类体系中有利于出现极限环振荡的范围进行了计算,绘制出了出现极限环振荡的参数区域.计算机模拟发现,由于外控电极电位的周期性变化,Pt电极反应相中出现极限环振荡的参数区域发生蜕变在极限环振荡区域内呈现的动力学行为是BZ反应的本征自组织行为,但其周期振幅已发生变异;而在振荡区域外体系则可出现对外控约束的纯粹响应性振荡,周期与外控约束电位振荡相同.  相似文献

为了提高注入束流的积累,抑制由于注入系统误差所引起较大的β残余振荡是非常有必要的.本文较系统地介绍了合肥光源(HLS)抑制注入β振荡反馈系统的设计思想、原理和线路,并提供了它的初步实验结果.作为原理论证和预研,我们使用了一个相对简单的模拟滤波器和移相器对Kicker过程激发的β振荡进行反馈,看到了明显的抑制作用.为以后研制低频和高频反馈系统,研究抑制束流的横向和纵向不稳定性打下基础.  相似文献

The noise figure and sub-octave spurious-free dynamic range of a carrier-suppressed analog RF photonic link are examined. Expressions for noise figure and dynamic range are derived as a function of the modulator bias angle. A closed form expression for the bias angle that optimizes link noise figure and spurious-free dynamic range is also derived. Experimental results are presented and shown to agree with calculations. These experimental results include some of the lowest noise figure and highest dynamic range results published to date for an RF photonic link incorporating a standard Mach-Zehnder modulator: 6 dB and 122 dB·Hz2/3, respectively.  相似文献

We report observations of the enhancement and suppression of four-wave mixing (FWM) in an electromagnetically induced transparency window in a Y-type ^85 Rb atomic system. The results show the evolution of the dressed effects (from pure enhancement to partial enhancement/suppression, and finally into pure suppression) in the degenerate-FWM processes. Moreover, we use the perturbation chain method to describe the FWM process. Finally, we observe the polarization dependence of the enhancement and suppression of the FWM signal.  相似文献

We report suppression of atomic heating by light scattering due to tight binding in a 3D far-off-resonant optical lattice. We show that rescattered spontaneously emitted photons do not heat trapped atoms when the scattering rate is much less than the trap vibrational frequency.  相似文献

The dynamic characteristics of a semiconductor laser with optical feedback are strongly dependent on the injection current and the reflectivity and position of the external feedback reflector. We investigated the relaxation oscillation enhancement and coherence collapse state of the laser oscillation based on the laser rate equations. It is well known that laser output power jumps with increase of the injection current due to external mode transition. But here for the first we time demonstrate the existence of a chaotic scenario within successive laser power jumps. The results calculated by numerical simulations based on the rate equations are compared with those of the experiments and good coincidence between them is found.  相似文献

By frequency-band extracting, we experimentally and theoretically investigate time-delay signature (TDS) suppression and entropy growth enhancement of a chaotic optical-feedback semiconductor laser under different injection currents and feedback strengths. The TDS and entropy growth are quantified by the peak value of autocorrelation function and the difference of permutation entropy at the feedback delay time. At the optimal extracting bandwidth, the measured TDS is suppressed up to 96% compared to the original chaos, and the entropy growth is higher than the noise-dominated threshold, indicating that the dynamical process is noisy. The effects of extracting bandwidth and radio frequencies on the TDS and entropy growth are also clarified experimentally and theoretically. The experimental results are in good agreements with the theoretical results. The skewness of the laser intensity distribution is effectively improved to 0.001 with the optimal extracting bandwidth. This technique provides a promising tool to extract randomness and prepare desired entropy sources for chaotic secure communication and random number generation.  相似文献

Direct current (dc) arc plasma with continuous aerosol supply was coupled with an external oscillatingmagnetic field of a few tens of mT and a frequency of up to 1 kHz. Such configuration was used to alter the plasma‐related radiative properties. The magnetic field was oriented perpendicularly to the electric field in the plasma and forced the arc column to oscillate as a whole with respect to the surrounding atmosphere. The magnitude of the appliedmagnetic.eld controls the amplitude of the oscillatory motion. Several parameters that can contribute to the radiative properties of the plasma were investigated (arc current, composition of aerosol introduced into the plasma, amplitude and frequency of the magnetic field applied). Spectral emission from different zones of the plasma column was measured by optical emission spectroscopy (OES). In comparison to steady‐state plasma, the applied magnetic field induces an intensity enhancement of emission of the most analytes considered. The intensity enhancement is strongly affected by the amplitude and frequency of plasma column oscillations, i.e. by plasma column velocity. We have observed relaxation oscillations in a capacitive discharge in Ar gas, connected to a peripheral ground chamber. The plasma oscillations observed from time-varying optical emission from the main discharge chamber show, for example, a high frequency (75.37kHz) relaxation oscillation, at lOOmTorr and 8 W absorbed power, and a low frequency (2.72Hz) relaxation oscillation, lOO mTorr and 325 W absorbed power. Time-varying optical emission intensity and plasma density are also detected with a Langmuir probe. The theoretical result agrees well with experiments.  相似文献

Ultrasonic irradiation during the Ullmann coupling reaction of 2-iodonitrobenzene in the presence of a 4-fold excess of copper powder leads to a 50-fold increase in reactivity. Although sonication has been shown to reduce the particle size of the copper this factor alone is not sufficient to explain the large rate enhancement observed. Ultrasonic irradiation may well be serving to sweep reacted species away from the metal surface exposing a fresh surface on which reaction can take place.  相似文献

Nonstationary absorption of the energy of a short electromagnetic-radiation pulse in a superdense semibounded plasma is considered. An approach is proposed for finding the electron distribution function, wherein the region of the skin layer (in the anomalous skin-effect regime) is described as a boundary condition for the distribution function over the entire plasma volume. 利用N型半导体纳米材料氧化铟锡(ITO)作为单CdSe/ZnS量子点的基质来抑制单量子点的荧光闪烁特性. 实验采用激光扫描共聚焦显微成像系统测量了单量子点荧光的亮、暗态持续时间的概率密度分布的指数截止的幂律特性, 并与直接吸附在SiO2玻片上的单CdSe/ZnS量子点的荧光特性进行比较. 研究发现处于ITO中的单量子点比SiO2玻片上的单量子点荧光亮态持续时间提高两个数量级, 掺杂于ITO中的单量子点的荧光寿命约减小为SiO2玻片上的单量子点的荧光寿命的41%, 并且寿命分布宽度变小50%.  相似文献

Our work is a step to a better understanding of high frequency ultrasonic reactors behaviour. Using finite elements calculations, it was demonstrated that localization of chemical and physical effects can be well correlated with mechanical behaviour of ultrasound emitter. This complementary approach enables us to propose a full interpretation of the sonochemical reactor behaviour. A major reason of scientific interest on ultrasound is the well-known enhancement of chemical or physical phenomena. This is so important that "Enhancement" is probably the most used word in the title of related publications. To fully understand experimental results, present work demonstrates that ultrasound needs also to significantly enhance a very difficult knowledge transfer operation that might be named interdisciplinary co-working. Hence, ultrasound is now used and studied in many different fields of science such as acoustic, chemistry, medical imaging, disease treatment (lithotripsy), non-destructive testing. Each one has his own vocabulary, approach, and method to describe the phenomenon. In this work four different methodologies were involved to study of the same effect but using a chemical, chemical engineering, physical and mechanical approach respectively. All these viewpoints were then brought together in order to explain new original results.  相似文献
