Cationic cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes (Ir1-Ir5) with fluorine-substituted 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) derivatives as C^N cyclometalating ligands and 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) as the ancillary ligand, have been synthesized and fully characterized. The influences of the number and the position of fluorine atoms at the cyclometalating ligands on the photophysical, electrochemical and oxygen sensing properties of the Ir(III) complexes have been investigated systematically. The introduction of fluorine on the C^N cyclometalating ligands of the complexes results in blue-shifts of the maximum emission wavelengths, and increases in the photoluminescence quantum yields (ΦPL), phosphorescence lifetimes and energy gaps, compared to the non-fluorinated [Ir(ppy)2(bpy)]+PF6? (Ir0). Among them, 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine-derived Ir4 shows the maximum blue-shift (514 nm vs. 575 nm for Ir0) and the highest ΦPL (50.8% vs. 6.5% for Ir0). The complex Ir3 with 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-fluoropyridine as C^N ligand exhibits the highest oxygen sensitivity and excellent operational stability in 10 cycles within 4000 s.  相似文献

We report the rational design of metal–organic layers (MOLs) that are built from [Hf6O4(OH)4(HCO2)6] secondary building units (SBUs) and Ir[bpy(ppy)2]+‐ or [Ru(bpy)3]2+‐derived tricarboxylate ligands (Hf‐BPY‐Ir or Hf‐BPY‐Ru; bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine, ppy=2‐phenylpyridine) and their applications in X‐ray‐induced photodynamic therapy (X‐PDT) of colon cancer. Heavy Hf atoms in the SBUs efficiently absorb X‐rays and transfer energy to Ir[bpy(ppy)2]+ or [Ru(bpy)3]2+ moieties to induce PDT by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS). The ability of X‐rays to penetrate deeply into tissue and efficient ROS diffusion through ultrathin 2D MOLs (ca. 1.2 nm) enable highly effective X‐PDT to afford superb anticancer efficacy.  相似文献

Novel polymer macroligands—copolyamides containing different quantity of bipyridyl groups—were obtained from 4,4′-diamino-2,2′-bipyridine, 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether and terephthaloyl-bis(3-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzoic) acid dichloroanhydride by low-temperature polycondensation. Metal–polymer complexes with different content of Ir(ppy)2 were obtained by the interaction between polymer ligand and [Ir(ppy)2Cl]2 (ppy–2-phenylpyridine). The properties of films and coatings based on these materials were studied.  相似文献

Two new supramolecular assemblies based on Keggin-type polyoxometalates, [Ag3(4,4′-bipy)2(2,2′-bipy)2][Ag(2,2′-bipy)2][{Ag(2,2′-bipy)}HSiW11VO40] (1) and [Ag3(4,4′-bipy)2(2,2′-bipy)2][Ag(2,2′-bipy)2][{Ag(2,2′-bipy)}PW11VO40] (2) (4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine), have been synthesized under the hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by IR, XPS, TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 has a 2D layer network structure via weak Ag...O interactions. Compound 2 is isostructural with compound 1. In addition, the fluorescence of compound 1 is reported.  相似文献

This study reports an activatable iridium(III) complex probe for phosphorescence/time-gated luminescence detection of cysteine (Cys) in vitro and in vivo. The probe, [Ir(ppy)2(NTY-bpy)](PF6) [ppy: 2-phenylpyridine; NTY-bpy: 4-methyl-4′-(2-nitrovinyl)-2,2′-bipyridine], is developed by incorporating a strong electron-withdrawing group, nitroolefin, into a bipyridine ligand of the IrIII complex. The luminescence of the probe is quenched owing to the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) process, but switched on by a specific recognition reaction between the probe and Cys. [Ir(ppy)2(NTY-bpy)](PF6) shows high sensitivity and selectivity for Cys detection and good biocompatibility. The long-lived emission of [Ir(ppy)2(NTY-bpy)](PF6) allows time-gated luminescence analysis of Cys in cells and human sera. These properties make it convenient for the phosphorescence and time-gated luminescence imaging and flow cytometry analysis of Cys in live samples. The Cys images in cancer cells and inflamed macrophage cells reveal that [Ir(ppy)2(NTY-bpy)](PF6) is distributed in mitochondria after cellular internalization. Visualizations and flow cytometry analysis of mitochondrial Cys levels and Cys-mediated redox activities of live cells are achieved. By using [Ir(ppy)2(NTY-bpy)](PF6) as a probe, in vivo sensing and imaging of Cys in D. magna, zebrafish, and mice are then demonstrated.  相似文献

Monometallic and bimetallic diimine complexes of rhenium(I) and osmium(II), [(CO)3(bpy)Re(4,4′-bpy)](PF6) I, [(CO)3(bpy)Re(4,4′-bpy)Re(bpy)(CO)3](PF6)2II, [Cl(bpy)2Os(4,4′-bpy)](PF6) III and [Cl(bpy)2Os(4,4′-bpy)Os(bpy)2Cl](PF6)2IV, and a new heterobimetallic complex of rhenium(I) and osmium(II) [(CO)3(bpy)Re(4,4′-bpy)Os(bpy)Cl](PF6)2V (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine; 4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by various spectral techniques. The photophysical properties of all the complexes have been studied and a comparison is made between the heterobimetallic and corresponding monometallic and homobimetallic complexes. Emission and transient absorption spectral studies reveal that excited state energy transfer from the rhenium(I) chromophore (∗Re) to osmium(II) takes place. The energy transfer rate constant is found to be 8.7 × 107 s−1.  相似文献

Two new hybrid compounds, [Co(4,4′-bpy)2(H2O)4][(4,4′-bpyH2]2[CoW12O40]·8H2O (1) and [Fe(2,2′-bpy)3]3[H2W12O40]·6H2O (2), (4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine, 2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) have been hydrothermally synthesized. These solids were characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, UV–Vis spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The hydrogen-bonding interactions in 1 lead to the formation of a three dimensional network consisting of [CoW12O40]6− anionic clusters, [Co(4,4′-bpy)2(H2O)4]2+ cations and lattice water molecules, while the discrete Keggin ion [H2W12O40]6− in compound 2 is surrounded by 14 [Fe(2,2′-bpy)3]2+ complexes through CH?O interactions (2.24–2.56 Å).  相似文献

The development of an efficient and stable artificial photosensitizer for visible‐light‐driven hydrogen production is highly desirable. Herein, a new series of charge‐neutral, heteroleptic tricyclometalated iridium(III) complexes, [Ir(thpy)2(bt)] ( 1 – 4 ; thpy=2,2′‐thienylpyridine, bt=2‐phenylbenzothiazole and its derivatives), were systematically synthesized and their structural, photophysical, and electrochemical properties were established. Three solid‐state structures were studied by X‐ray crystallographic analysis. This design offers the unique opportunity to drive the metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MLCT) band to longer wavelengths for these iridium complexes. We describe new molecular platforms that are based on these neutral iridium complexes for the production of hydrogen through visible‐light‐induced photocatalysis over an extended period of time in the presence of [Co(bpy)3]2+ and triethanolamine (TEOA). The maximum amount of hydrogen was obtained under constant irradiation over 72 h and the system could regenerate its activity upon the addition of cobalt‐based catalysts when hydrogen evolution ceased. Our results demonstrated that the dissociation of the [Co(bpy)3]2+ catalyst contributed to the loss of catalytic activity and limited the long‐term catalytic performance of the systems. The properties of the neutral complexes are compared in detail to those of two known non‐neutral bpy‐type complexes, [Ir(thpy)2(dtb‐bpy)]+ ( 5 ) and [Ir(ppy)2(dtb‐bpy)]+ ( 6 ; ppy=2‐phenylpyridine, dtb‐bpy=4,4′‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′‐dipyridyl). This work is expected to contribute toward the development of long‐lasting solar hydrogen‐production systems.  相似文献

Two new charge‐neutral iridium complexes, [Ir(tfm‐ppy)2(N,N′‐diisopropyl‐benzamidinate)] ( 1 ) and [Ir(tfm‐ppy)2(N,N′‐diisopropyl‐4‐diethylamino‐3,5‐dimethyl‐benzamidinate)] ( 2 ) (tfm‐ppy=4‐trifluoromethyl‐2‐phenylpyridine) containing an amidinate ligand and two phenylpyridine ligands were designed and characterised. The photophysical properties, electrochemical behaviours and emission quenching properties of these species were investigated. In concert with the cobalt catalyst [Co(bpy)3]2+, members of this new class of iridium complexes enable the photocatalytic generation of hydrogen from mixed aqueous solutions via an oxidative quenching pathway and display long‐term photostability under constant illumination over 72 h; one of these species achieved a relatively high turnover number of 1880 during this time period. In the case of complex 1 , the three‐component homogeneous photocatalytic system proved to be more efficient than a related system containing a charged complex, [Ir(tfm‐ppy)2(dtb‐bpy)]+ ( 3 , dtb‐bpy=4,4′‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′‐dipyridyl). In combination with a rhodium complex as a water reduction catalyst, the performances of the systems using both complexes were also evaluated, and these systems exhibited a more efficient catalytic propensity for water splitting than did the cobalt‐based systems that have been studied previously.  相似文献

The cations in the solid-state structures of meso-(ΛΔ)-[{Ru(bpy)2}2(μ-bpm)](PF6)4, meso-(ΛΔ)-[{Ru(Me2bpy)2}2(μ-bpm)](tos)4 · 2CH3OH · 4H2O and meso-(ΛΔ)-[{Ru(Me4bpy)2}2(μ-bpm)](tos)4 · 26H2O (bpm = 2,2′-bipyrimidine; bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine; Me2bpy = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine; Me4bpy = 4,4′,5,5′-tetramethyl-2,2′-bipyridine; tos = toluene-4-sulfonate anion) exhibit similar features including comparable bond lengths and angles, and metal–metal separations of 5.56–5.59 Å. The counter-ions present in the structures reside in the clefts above and below the plane of the bridging ligand, but show considerable variation in location compared with their known occupancy in solution.  相似文献

Reaction of 1-(2′-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (Hpan) with [Ru(dmso)4Cl2] (dmso = dimethylsulfoxide), [Ru(trpy)Cl3] (trpy = 2,2′,2″-terpyridine), [Ru(bpy)Cl3] (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) and [Ru(PPh3)3Cl2] in refluxing ethanol in the presence of a base (NEt3) affords, respectively, the [Ru(pan)2], [Ru(trpy)(pan)]+ (isolated as perchlorate salt), [Ru(bpy)(pan)Cl] and [Ru(PPh3)2(pan)Cl] complexes. Structures of these four complexes have been determined by X-ray crystallography. In each of these complexes, the pan ligand is coordinated to the metal center as a monoanionic tridentate N,N,O-donor. Reaction of the [Ru(bpy)(pan)Cl] complex with pyridine (py) and 4-picoline (pic) in the presence of silver ion has yielded the [Ru(bpy)(pan)(py)]+ and [Ru(bpy)(pan)(pic)]+ complexes (isolated as perchlorate salts), respectively. All the complexes are diamagnetic (low-spin d6, S = 0) and show characteristic 1H NMR signals and intense MLCT transitions in the visible region. Cyclic voltammetry on all the complexes shows a Ru(II)–Ru(III) oxidation on the positive side of SCE. Except in the [Ru(pan)2] complex, a second oxidative response has been observed in the other five complexes. Reductions of the coordinated ligands have also been observed on the negative side of SCE. The [Ru(trpy)(pan)]ClO4, [Ru(bpy)(pan)(py)]ClO4 and [Ru(bpy)(pan)(pic)]ClO4 complexes have been observed to bind to DNA, but they have not been able to cleave super-coiled DNA on UV irradiation.  相似文献

Hetero- and homo-leptic Ru(II) complexes of a new 4,4′-bipyrimidine ligand, th2bpm (6,6′-di(2″-thienyl)-4,4′-bipyrimidine), have been synthesized and characterized. The parent ligand th2bpm has electron rich thiophene units on the periphery of a bidentate ligand which is capable of binding to metal ions. The heteroleptic complex of th2bpm [Ru(bpy)2th2bpm]2+ (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) exhibits a Ru-to-bpm metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) absorption centered at 547 nm and a Ru-to-bpy MLCT absorption centered at 438 nm. The assignment of the low energy absorption is supported by the relative ease of electrochemical reduction of the new complex as compared to [Ru(bpy)3]2+. The homoleptic complex, [Ru(th2bpm)3]2+, exhibits a Ru-to-bpm MLCT absorption at slightly higher energy (544 nm). Both complexes are emissive at room temperature in fluid solution and 5 is one of the lowest energy emitters based on tris-bidentate Ru(II) complexes known (λmax = 770 nm). The luminescence spectra is red-shifted compared to [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and this effect is ascribed to the delocalization in the acceptor ligand.  相似文献

Complexes [Ir(C^N)2(G1-bpy)]PF6, where C^N is a cyclometallating ligand derived from 2-(2′-thienyl)pyridine and 2-phenylpyridine, and G1-bpy is a dendritic bipyridine ligand of the first generation, 4,4′-bis[3″,5″-bis(benzyloxy)phenylethyl]-2,2′-bipyridine, were prepared and characterized by 1H NMR, electronic absorption, and emission spectroscopy. The polyether dendritic substituents exert a “ soft” effect on the spectral and luminescence properties of the complexes, manifested as slight destabilization of the electronically excited charge-transfer state involving the bipyridine ligand, as compared to the model complexes [Ir(C^N)2(bpy)]PF6.__________Translated from Zhurnal Obshchei Khimii, Vol. 75, No. 5, 2005, pp. 705–711.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Kulikova, McClenaghan, Balashev.  相似文献

The use of succinamic acid (H2sucm)/N,N′-chelate (2,2′-bipyridine, bpy; 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine, dmbpy; 1,10-phenanthroline, phen) ‘ligand blends’ in CuX2·yH2O (X = NO3, y = 3; X = Cl, y = 0) chemistry has yielded the new complexes [Cu2(Hsucm)3(bpy)2](NO3)·0.5MeOH (1·0.5MeOH), [Cu2(Hsucm)(OH)Cl(bpy)2](OH)·3.6H2O (5·3.6H2O) and [Cu2(Hsucm)2Cl2(phen)2] (6). The succinamate(−1) ion behaves as a carboxylate ligand and exists in two different coordination modes in the structures of the above complexes, i.e., the common syn, syn μ2OO′ in 1, 5 and 6, and the μ22OO′ in 1. The primary amide group of Hsucm remains uncoordinated and participates in intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions leading to 1D, 2D and 3D networks. Characteristic IR bands of the complexes are discussed in terms of the known structures and the coordination modes of the Hsucm ligands.  相似文献

The syntheses of two new ligands and five new heteroleptic cyclometallated Ir(III) complexes are reported. The ligands are based upon a functionalised anthra[1,2-d]imidazole-6,11-dione core giving LH1−3 incorporating a pendant pyridine, quinoline or thiophene unit respectively. Neutrally charged, octahedral complexes [Ir(ppy)2(L1−3)] are chelated by two cyclometallated phenylpyridine (ppy) ligands and a third, ancillary deprotonated ligand L1−3, whilst cationic analogues could only be isolated for [Ir(ppy)2(LH1−2)][PF6]. X-ray crystal structures for [Ir(ppy)2(L1)], [Ir(ppy)2(LH1)][PF6] and [Ir(ppy)2(L2)] showed the complexes adopt a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, with the anthra[1,2-d]imidazole-6,11-dione ligands coordinating in a bidentate fashion. Preliminary DFT calculations revealed that for the complexes of LH1 and LH2 the LUMO is exclusively localized on the ancillary ligand, whereas the nature of the HOMO depends on the protonation state of the ancillary ligand, often being composed of both Ir(III) and phenylpyridine character. UV-vis. and luminescence data showed that the ligands absorb into the visible region ca. 400 nm and emit ca. 560 nm, both of which are attributed to an intra-ligand CT transition within the anthra[1,2-d]imidazole-6,11-dione core. The complexes display absorption bands attributed to overlapping ligand-centred and 1MLCT-type electronic transitions, whilst only [Ir(ppy)2(L2)] appeared to possess typical 3MLCT behaviour (λem = 616 nm; τ = 96 ns in aerated MeCN). The remaining complexes were generally visibly emissive (λem ≈ 560-570 nm; τ < 10 ns in aerated MeCN) with very oxygen-sensitive lifetimes more indicative of ligand-centred processes.  相似文献

A series of four metal–organic frameworks, namely, [Cu(sdpa)0.5(2,2′-bpy)]·H2O (1), [Zn2(sdpa)(2,2′-bpy)2(H2O)2]·3H2O (2), [Zn2(sdpa)(4,4′-bpy)]·3H2O (3), [Cd2(sdpa)(4,4′-bpy)1.5(H2O)2](4), have been hydro(solvo)thermally synthesized through the reaction of 2,3,2′,3′-sulfonyldiphthalic acid (H4sdpa) with divalent copper, zinc and cadmium salts in the presence of ancillary nitrogen ligands (4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine, 2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction. Both complex 1 and 2 show metal–organic chain structure, and the adjacent chains are further linked by π?π and C–H?π interactions for 1 and hydrogen bonds and π?π interactions for 2 to form 3D supramolecular structure. In complex 3, two Zn1 and two Zn2 atoms appear alternately and are bridged by sdpa4− anion ligands to form an infinite Zn-sdpa chain. Such chains are further linked together through 4,4′-bpy ligands in four orientations to form a robust 3D metal–organic network. In compound 4, a 3D Cd-sdpa metal–organic network is accomplished through sdpa4− anion ligands, and further stabilized by 4,4′-bpy in six orientations. Their luminescence and thermal analysis have also been investigated.  相似文献

Incorporating phenylpyridine‐ and triazolylpyridine‐based ligands decorated with methylsulfonate or tetraethylene glycol (TEG) groups, a series of iridium(III) complexes has been created for green and blue electrogenerated chemiluminescence under analytically useful aqueous conditions, with tri‐n‐propylamine as a coreactant. The relative electrochemiluminescence (ECL) intensities of the complexes were dependent on the sensitivity of the photodetector over the wavelength range and the pulse time of the applied electrochemical potential. In terms of the integrated area of corrected ECL spectra, with a pulse time of 0.5 s, the intensities of the IrIII complexes were between 18 and 102 % that of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine). However, when the intensities were measured with a typical bialkali photomultiplier tube, the signal of the most effective blue emitter, [Ir(df‐ppy)2(pt‐TEG)]+ (df‐ppy=2‐(2,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine anion, pt‐TEG=1‐(2‐(2‐(2‐(2‐hydroxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)‐4‐(2‐pyridyl)‐1,2,3‐triazole), was over 1200 % that of the orange–red emitter [Ru(bpy)3]2+. A combined experimental and theoretical investigation of the electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of the IrIII complexes indicated that the greater intensity from [Ir(df‐ppy)2(pt‐TEG)]+ relative to those of the other IrIII complexes resulted from a combination of many factors, rather than being significantly favored in one area.  相似文献

Organotin(IV) complexes of [SnR(4−n)Cln] (n = 2, R = Me, nBu; n = 1, R = Ph) react with the bidentate pyridyl ligand 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine (bu2bpy) to give hexa-coordinated adducts with the general formula [SnR(4−n)Cln(bu2bpy)]. However, the reaction of these organotin(IV) complexes with the corresponding monodentate ligand 4-tert-butylpyridine (bupy) resulted in the formation of the hexa-coordinated complex [SnMe2Cl2(bupy)2] and the penta-coordinated complexes [SnR(4−n)Cln(bupy)] (n = 2, R = nBu; n = 1, R = Ph). Moreover, the reaction of the above organotin(IV) complexes with 4,4′-trimethylenedipyridine (tmdp) yields hexa-coordinated adducts with the general formula [SnR2Cl2(tmdp)] (R = Me, nBu) and the penta-coordinated complex [ClPh3Sn-μ-(tmdp)SnPh3Cl] in the solid state. The resulting complexes have been characterized by multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectroscopy and elemental analysis. NMR data shows that the triphenyltin(IV) adducts are not stable in solution and dissociate to give tetra-coordinated tin(IV) complexes. The X-ray crystal structure determination of [SnMe2Cl2(bu2bpy)] reveals that the tin atom is hexa-coordinated in an octahedral geometry with a trans-[SnMe2] configuration.  相似文献

The electronic structures and spectroscopic properties of a series of mixed bis-cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes [Ir(ppy)2X2] (X = CN, 1; X = NCS, 2; X = NCO, 3; ppy = 2-phenylpyridl) were investigated at the B3LYP/LANL2DZ and CIS/LANL2DZ levels. The calculated geometry parameters in the ground state are well consistent with the corresponding experimental values. The HOMO of 1 is dominantly localized on Ir atom and ppy ligand, but the HOMO of 2 and 3 have significant X ligand composition. Under the TD-DFT level with PCM model, the absorption and phosphorescence in CH2Cl2 media were calculated based on the optimized geometries in the ground and excited states, respectively. The lowest-lying absorption of 1 at 403 nm is attributed to {[dx2-y2(Ir)+dxy(Ir)+π(ppy)]→[π(ppy)]} transition with metal-to-ligand and intraligand charge transfer (MLCT/ILCT) transition characters, whereas those of 2 (449 nm) and 3 (475 nm) are related to {[dx2-y2(Ir)+dxy(Ir)+π(ppy)+π(NCS/NCO)]→[π(ppy)]} transition with MLCT/ILCT and ligand-to-ligand charge transfer (LLCT) transition characters. The phosphorescence of 1 at 466 nm can be described as originating from 3{[dx2-y2(Ir)+dxy(Ir)+π(ppy)][π(ppy)]} excited state, while those of 2 (487 nm) and 3 (516 nm) originate from 3{[dx2-y2(Ir)+dxy(Ir)+π(ppy)+π(NCS/NCO)][π(ppy)]} excited states. The calculated results showed that the transition character of the absorption and emission can be changed by adjusting the π electron-accepting abilities of the X ligands and the phosphorescent color can be tuned by altering the X ligands.  相似文献
