In the last years the attention of the scientific community on the generation of entangled states has constantly increased both for their importance in the foundation of quantum mechanics and for their application in the quantum computation and communication field. To these aims high quality of generated states is required. A standard procedure to produce entangled photons pairs is spontaneous down conversion process in nonlinear crystals. In this paper we report preparation of quantum entangled states using CW laser at 266 nm pumping the standard Kwiat’s source. We have been able to generate the full set of Bell’s states with very high purity, fidelity and Concurrence which have been estimated using standard tomography procedure. To proof the high degree of achieved entanglement, we performed a non-locality test obtaining a high violation of the CHSH inequality.  相似文献

We use concurrence to study bipartite entanglement, Meyer-Wallach measure and its generalizations to study multi-partite entanglement and MABK and SASA inequalities to study the non-local properties of the 4-qubit entangled graph states, quantitatively. Then, we present 3 classifications, each one in accordance with one of the aforementioned properties. We also observe that the classification according to multipartite entanglement does exactly coincide with that according to nonlocal properties, but does not match with that according to bipartite entanglement. This observation signifies the fact that non-locality and multipartite entanglement enjoy the same basic underlying principles, while bipartite entanglement may not reveal the non-locality issue in its entirety.  相似文献

Initially Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen (EPR) and later Bell shed light on the non-local properties exhibited by subsystems in quantum mechanics. Separately, Kochen and Specker analyzed sets of measurements of compatible observables and found that a consistent coexistence of these results is impossible, i.e., quantum indefiniteness of measurement results. As a consequence, quantum contextuality, a more general concept compared to non-locality, leads to striking phenomena predicted by quantum theory. Here, we report neutron interferometric experiments which investigate entangled states in a single-particle system: entanglement is, in this case, achieved not between particles, but between degrees of freedom i.e., between spin, path, and energy degrees of freedom. Appropriate combinations of the spin analysis and the position of the phase shifter in the interferometer allow an experimental verification of the violation of a Bell-like inequality. In addition, state tomography, tomographic analysis of the density matrix of a quantum system, and Kochen-Specker-like phenomena are presented to characterize neutrons’ entangled states and their peculiarity. Furthermore, a coherent energy manipulation scheme is accomplished with a radio-frequency (RF) spin-flipper. This scheme allows the (total) energy degree of freedom to be entangled: the remarkable behavior of a triply entangled GHZ-like state is demonstrated.  相似文献

Single-particle energies of Λ and Σ hyperons in several nuclei are obtained from the relevant self-energies. The latter are constructed within the framework of a perturbative many-body approach employing present realistic hyperon-nucleon interactions such as the models of the Jülich and Nijmegen groups. The effects of the non-locality and energy dependence of the self-energy on the bound states are investigated. It is also shown that, although the single-particle hyperon energies are well reproduced by local Woods-Saxon hyperon-nucleus potentials, the wave functions from the non-local self-energy are far more extended. Implications of this behavior for the mesonic weak decay of Λ hypernuclei are discussed.  相似文献

A theory is presented for the quantum state of photon pairs generated from spontaneous parametric down-conversion nonlinear process. In this theory, the influence of the final sizes of nonlinear optical crystals on optical eigenmodes is explicitly taken into consideration. It was found that these photon pairs are not in entangled quantum states. Polarization correlations between the signal beam and the idler beam are explained. It is also shown that the two photons generated from SPDC are not spatially separated, therefore the polarization correlation between the signal and idler beams is not an evidence for quantum non-locality. 利用自行设计的两台非简并光学参量放大器,获得了一对具有经典相干性且量子起伏相互独立的连续变量纠缠态光场,并用它完成了连续变量的无条件纠缠交换,即纠缠态的量子离物传送.通过联合贝尔态探测与纠缠塌缩,使两个初始不纠缠而又从未发生过直接相互作用的光场产生了量子纠缠,其正交振幅和位相分量的量子起伏关联方差被直接测量,其测量值分别低于散离噪声极限1.23dB和1.12dB.理论计算与实验结果基本符合.  相似文献

Quantum mechanics is seen to be incomplete not because it cannot explain the correlations that characterize entanglement without invoking either non-locality or realism, both of which, despite special relativity or no-go theorems, are at least conceivable. Quantum mechanics is incomplete, in a perhaps broader than hidden variable sense, because it fails to address within its theoretical structure the question of how even a single particle, by being in a given quantum state, causes the frequency distribution of measurement values specified by the state. This incompleteness of quantum mechanics as it is currently conceived is both fundamental and indefeasible. Failure to address the question of how the states of entangled particles are given effect to yield the correlations they specify is simply a particular albeit attention arresting instance of this incompleteness. But if that is so then quantum mechanics cannot be held to be inconsistent with locality.  相似文献

Cluster纠缠态是执行单向量子计算的基本资源。星型Cluster态可用于构建量子信息网络。以非简并光学参变放大器产生的双模压缩态光场为基础,设计了产生连续变量六组份和八组份星型Cluster纠缠态光场的实验方案,并推导了相应的量子不可分判据。计算结果指出,当量子不可分判据中的增益因子取为1时,需要一定的初始压缩度才能制备星型Cluster纠缠态;但当选取最佳增益因子时,极低的压缩也能产生星型纠缠。计算为实验系统设计提供了直接参考。  相似文献

The QCD string model for baryons derived by Yu. A. Simonov and used for the calculation of baryon magnetic moments in a previous paper is extended to include also perturbative gluon and meson exchanges. The mass spectrum of the baryon multiplet is studied. For the meson interaction, either pseudoscalar or pseudovector coupling is used. Predictions are compared with the experimental data. Besides these exchanges, the influence of excited quark orbitals on the baryon ground state are considered by performing a multichannel calculation. The nucleon-Δ splitting increases due to the mixing of higher quark states, while the baryon magnetic momenta decrease. The multichannel calculation with perturbative exchanges is shown to yield reasonable magnetic moments, while the mass spectrum is close to experiment.  相似文献

We investigate the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty for an entangled two-qubit system in a local quantum noise channel with PT-symmetric operation performing on one of the two particles. Our results show that the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty in the qubits system can be reduced effectively by the local PT-symmetric operation. Physical explanations for the behavior of the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty are given based on the property of entanglement of the qubits system and the non-locality induced by the re-normalization procedure for the non-Hermitian PT-symmetric operation.  相似文献

Defining nonlocality in a no-input closed quantum network scenario is a new area of interest nowadays. Gisin, in [Entropy 21, 325 (2019)], proposed a possible condition for non-tri-locality of the trivial no-input closed network scenario, triangle network, by introducing a new kind of joint measurement bases and a probability bound. In [npj Quantum Information (2020) 6:70] they found a shred of numerical evidence in support of Gisin's probability bound. Now based on that probability bound, it finds the nature of the correlation in a triangle network scenario. This study observes how far the probability lies from that Gisin's bound with every possible combination of entangled and local pure states distributed from three independent quantum sources. Here, it uses the generalized Elegant Joint Measurements bases for each party and find that there is a dependency of non-locality on the entanglement of these joint measurement bases. It also checks the probability bound for the polygon structure.  相似文献

In this article I investigate several possibilities to define the concept of “temporal non-locality” within the standard framework of quantum theory. In particular, I analyze the notions of “temporally non-local states”, “temporally non-local events” and “temporally non-local observables”. The idea of temporally non-local events is already inherent in the standard formalism of quantum mechanics, and Basil Hiley recently defined an operator in order to measure the degree of such a temporal non-locality. The concept of temporally non-local states enters as soon as “clock-representing states” are introduced in the context of special and general relativity. It is discussed in which way temporally non-local measurements may find an interesting application for experiments which test temporal versions of Bell inequalities.  相似文献

Maximally entangled states, defined as those states that have the maximal entanglement of formation under some entanglement measure, are the ideal resource for many quantum missions. In this paper, we call a convex roof of maximally entangled pure states a quasi maximally entangled state. First, we present the concept of a witness for non-quasi maximally entangled states, which is an observable that can distinguish some non-quasi maximally entangled states from quasi maximally entangled ones. Then we prove that every non-quasi maximally entangled state can be witnessed by a witness and obtain some necessary and sufficient conditions for an observable to be a witness for non-quasi maximally entangled states. Lastly, we give some classes of Hermitian operators, which can become witnesses. Especially, we compute non-quasi maximally entangled states that can be detected by a specific product operator.  相似文献

Exact and perturbative solutions of an ultralocal, static, real φm field theory, obtained by functional integral methods are given and discussed. It is shown that this unrenormalizable theory leads to a free one in the local limit, whereas a small non-locality leads to a small effective coupling constant in an effective φ4 Lagrangian. We study the conditions when mixtures of maximally entangled pure states remain entangled. We found that the resulting mixed state remains entangled when the number of entangled pure states to be mixed is less than or equal to the dimension of the pure states. For the latter case of mixing a number of pure states equal to their dimension, we found that the mixed state is entangled provided that the entangled pure states to be mixed are not equally weighted. We also found that one can restrict the set of pure states that one can mix from in order to ensure that the resulting mixed state is genuinely entangled. Also, we demonstrate how these results could be applied as a way to detect entanglement in mixtures of the entangled pure states with noise.  相似文献

We consider how to teleport two- and three-mode Einstein--Podolsky--Rosen entangled states (|\eta> and | pt,\chi2,\chi3>) via a | pt,\chi2,\chi3> quantum channel for continuous variables. Using the complete and orthogonal representation of the entangled states, we can not only find the a complete basis set for the joint measurement but also propose the specific scheme of teleportation.
