The specific heat of EuB6 has been measured over the temperature range 1.8–77 K. A broad anomaly, which is not substantially of the λ-type, was observed for both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic samples. Up to 13 K, the anomaly involves about 90% of the entropy expected for divalent Eu. However, the maximum of the specific heat occurs well below their magnetic transition temperature directly obtained by magnetic measurements, while the shape of the anomaly differs between the two samples. The results suggest that there exist two possible mechanisms responsible for the anomalous properties of this compound.  相似文献

Magnetic measurements of CeB6 have been made in fields up to 80 kOe at temperatures up to 1000 K. Below 2.3 K, each magnetization vs field curve shows several critical points depending on the direction of field, but between 2.3 and 3 K, the curve is smooth. Above about 3 K, the magnetization curve has a break point at a certain field which increases monotonically with increasing temperature. The paramagnetic susceptibility has been analysed by assuming appropriate values of crystal-field splitting and exchange interactions. From these results, a magnetic phase diagram for CeB6 has been proposed.  相似文献

A high-quality single crystal of Ce3Pt23Si11 has been grown using the Czochralski method. The crystal structure is presented and the chemical composition has been checked using an electron microprobe analyzer. Measurements of the electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility performed at low temperature show a ferromagnetic transition at Tc=0.44 K.  相似文献

Single crystals of Yb2+-doped LiCaAlF6 were grown by the Czochralski technique under CF4 atmosphere. Photoluminescence, thermally stimulated luminescence and decay kinetics of Yb2+ centre in the LiCaAlF6 host were measured in the 4–300 K temperature interval. Phenomenological two excited-state-level model is introduced to obtain quantitative characteristics of the excited state dynamics of Yb2+. The role of Yb2+ centre in trapping processes is discussed. Moreover, defect centres related to LiCaAlF6 host were found.  相似文献

The electrical resistance of a linear chain metal Nb3Te4 were measured from 1.3 to 320 K. The residual resistance ratio R(300 K)R(4.2 K) is about 3. Nb3Te4 shows an anomaly in the resistivity vs temperature at about 80 K, suggesting an occurrence of a charge-density-wave transition. The transverse and longitudinal magnetoresistance at 4.2 K are proportional to the magnetic field in the range of 2–58 kOe. In the superconducting region close to the transition temperature Tc, the critical magnetic field Hc2 is proportional to δT=Tc?T. The angular dependence of Hc2 fits well with the fluxoid model of the Ginzburg-Landau theory. The ratio of the critical fields parallel and perpendicular to the chain direction is 4.8.  相似文献

本文通过分析不同几何配置下的偏振拉曼光谱对非线性光学晶体的晶格振动模式进行了研究. 首先根据因子群分析,将晶体的振动模按晶体对称群的不可约表示进行分类,其次测量了晶体在10–1600 cm-1范围内,不同几何配置下的偏振拉曼光谱,并在此基础上指认了晶体的晶格振动模式. 300 cm-1以下的振动峰,归结为晶体的外振动,来自[BiO6],[ZnO4],[BO4]和[BO3]原子基团的平动和转动;300cm-1以上为晶体的内振动,主要与Bi-O,和Zn-O键振动有关. 晶体拉曼光谱中最高振动频率达到1407 cm-1,被指认为[BO3]三角形中B-O键的伸缩振动,体现了[BO3]基团中高的电子非局域化程度. 关键词: 2ZnOB2O6单晶')" href="#">Bi2ZnOB2O6单晶 偏振拉曼光谱 振动模式  相似文献

The vortex matter phase transitions and intrinsic pinning effect were investigated in an MgB2 single crystal using the torque magnetometry. For the field directions apart from the ab plane, we succeed in the observation of the vortex lattice melting transitions, which are transformed from the order-disorder transitions at low temperatures. Both transition fields with field directions can be describe by the GL effective mass model. For the field direction along the ab plane, these transitions become unobservable. Instead, the sudden increase in the hysteresis of magnetization curve occurs, indicating the existence of the intrinsic pinning coming from the layer structure.  相似文献

Results of the optical spectroscopy investigation of the cubic paramagnetic center Yb3+ ion in the Cs2NaYF6 single crystal are presented. The Stark level energies of the Yb3+ multiplets are established from absorption, luminescence and excitation luminescence spectra and the crystal field parameters are calculated. Information about the phonon spectra of Cs2NaYF6 crystals is obtained from the electron-vibrational structure of the optical absorption and luminescence spectra.  相似文献

采用X射线劳厄定向法对单晶CeB_6的(110),(111),(210)和(310)晶面进行了定向.系统研究了不同晶面热发射性能及磁场对电阻率的影响规律.结果表明,当阴极温度为1873 K时(110),(111),(210)和(310)晶面最大发射电流密度分别为38.4,11.54,50.4和20.8 A/cm~2,表现出了发射性能的"各向异性".RichardsonDushman公式计算逸出功结果表明,上述晶面中(210)晶面具有最低的逸出功,为2.4 eV.从实际应用来看,该晶面有望替代商业化的钨灯丝成为新一代的场发射阴极材料.磁电阻率测量结果显示,当晶体从[001]方向旋转至[011]方向时电阻率从73μ?·cm变化至69μ?·cm,表明电阻率在磁场中沿不同方向同样具有"各向异性"的特点.  相似文献

The spectroscopic properties of high-quality Czochralski grown 20% Yb3+-doped Li6Y(BO3)3 single crystal as new promising laser material are presented. The crystal was seeded-grown in the 〈0 1 0〉 direction and its crystallinity was measured using X-ray rocking curve analysis. Low temperature transmission spectrum exhibits broad bands in a short range of wavelengths and two sharp lines at 972.5 and 978 nm, interpreted as two zero-lines of two nonequivalent Yb3+ centers inside the lattice. The fluorescence lifetimes associated to these two intense lines are different: 0.867 and 1.33 ms. An attempt of determination of the Stark sublevels energies of the 4F5/2 and 4F7/2 manifolds of the two Yb3+ nonequivalent ions is given. The polarized absorption and emission spectra were also recorded at room temperature and we conclude that the most favorable emission line for laser application could be around 1042 nm in ng polarization.  相似文献

Single crystals of EuB6 were prepared by the floating-zone method. Magnetic and electric measurements on these crystals in the temperature range 1.6–300 K revealed that the pure EuB6 is an antiferromagnet with a Néel temperature of 5–6 K and has a carrier concentration of 4.2 × 1020 cm-3. It was found that in polycrystalline sample, defects of Eu ions reduce the carrier concentration and make the sample ferromagnetic. It is suggested that the conduction electrons in pure EuB6 originate from the overlap of the 4f band tail and the conduction band.  相似文献

The superconducting transition temperature of Ba0.9K0.1Pb0.75Bi0.25O3 has been found to be suppressed smoothly by the application of hydrostatic pressure at a rate of —(2.9 ± 0.2) × 10?5 kbar?1 up to 15 kbar. The implications of these results are discussed.  相似文献

Photoconductivity spectrum of a single crystal of CuGaS2 has been resolved into various distincts peaks in the range from 0.5 to 0.7 micro. The peaks are explained on the basis of creation of electron-hole pairs and transitions caused by deep centers. The characteristic absorption in the green region is also reflected in the photoconductivity spectrum.  相似文献

Self-diffusion process in EuB6 was studied using the pulsed gradient spin echo NMR technique. At 1.7 K, zero-field value of the self-diffusion parameter, k, was found to be (66 ± 4) × 10-6 (μs)-3, while that with 5 kG polarizing field turned out to be (3 ± 0.6) × 10-6 (μs)-3.  相似文献

Measurements of the in-plane and c-axis normal-state resistivity in a superconducting Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4−δ single crystal are reported. The resistivity anisotropy of this n-type material is ≤250, much smaller than BiSCCO and comparable to YBaCuO. Both, ab(T) and c(T) displays a metallic-like positive temperature coefficient of resistivity with a basic T2 dependence. We discuss some possible origins of this peculiar temperature dependence.  相似文献

The linear absorption of CO2 laser radiation in SF6, WF6, and UF6 has been measured by using optoacoustic detection techniques. Absolute absorption coefficients per Torr as low as 1 × 10?7 cm?1 Torr?1 in a 2-cm active path length could be measured by taking advantage of calibration measurements performed with SF6.  相似文献

Electrical impedance measurements of Na3H(SO4)2 were performed as a function of both temperature and frequency. The electrical conductivity and dielectric relaxation have been evaluated. The temperature dependence of electrical conductivity reveals that the sample crystals transformed to the fast ionic state in the high temperature phase. The dynamical disordering of hydrogen and sodium atoms and the orientation of SO4 tetrahedra results in fast ionic conductivity. In addition to the proton conduction, the possibility of a Na+ contribution to the conductivity in the high temperature phase is proposed. The frequency dependence of AC conductivity is proportional to ωs. The value of the exponent, s, lies between 0.85 and 0.46 in the room temperature phase, whereas it remains almost constant, 0.6, in the high-temperature phase. The dielectric dispersion is examined using the modulus formalism. An Arrhenius-type behavior is observed when the crystal undergoes the structural phase transition.  相似文献

单晶LaB_6是一种理想的热发射和场发射阴极材料,其不同晶面表现出不同的发射性能.采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算分析了LaB_6单晶的(100),(110),(111),(210),(211)和(310)典型晶面的差分电子密度、能带结构和态密度,并对光学区熔法制备的高质量单晶LaB_6的上述典型晶面的热发射性能进行了测试.理论计算结果表明LaB_6各晶面结构的不同和电子结构的差异导致LaB_6发射性能具有各向异性,晶面内La原子的密度越大、费米能级进入导带越深、费米能级附近态密度越大及其在导带区域的分布宽度越宽、导带在费米能级附近分布越多,晶面的逸出功越低,发射性能越好.热发射测试结果表明,当阴极测试温度为1773 K,测试电压为1 k V时,(100),(110),(111),(210),(211)和(310)晶面的最大发射电流密度分别为42.4,36.4,18.4,32.5,30.5和32.2 A/cm~2,其中(100)晶面具有最佳的发射性能.  相似文献

The magnetorestriction constants of CoS2 single crystal were measured by a capacitance method in a temperature range from liquid N2 to the Curie temperatures.The constants γ100 and γ111 are ?1.9 × 10?6 and 5.7 × 10?6 at liquid N2 temperature respectively, and the absolute values of the constants decrease monotonically with the increase of the temperature. The volume magnetorestriction constant δω/δH at 110 K in the ferromagnetic state is 6 × 10?10 Oe?1.  相似文献
