For p=(ar2/DO)1/2<0.12 and H=al2/DR<0.14, simple theoretical equations are proposed to characterize the reversible anodic stripping voltammetric peaks of amalgams obtained with a micro-disc mercury film electrode. The calculated, normalized peaks were higher, thinner and shifted towards more negative potentials compared with the peaks described for the regular size mercury film electrodes. The electrochemical properties of the nickel-based mercury film electrode (Ni-MFE) were investigated with respect to application of the electrode in the anodic stripping voltammetry (a.s.v.) of heavy metal ions. The hydrogen overpotential at the Ni-MFE is higher than those at MFEs based on other metals, and high enough to get quantitative a.s.v. peaks of lead and cadmium. The mercury film of the Ni-MFE is stable both mechanically and chemically; a.s.v. peaks at a Ni-MFE which had been used fifty times within 300 h after its preparation were identical with those at the freshly prepared electrode. With the Ni-MFE, 5 × 10?10–10?7 M lead(II) and 2 × 10?10–10?7 M cadmium(II) in the solution can be determined with relative standard deviations of 11 and 12%, respectively. These results are comparable to those obtained by a.s.v. at an in situ mercury-plated g]assy carbon electrode.  相似文献

The utility of a copper-based mercury film electrode (MFE) in cathodic stripping voltammetry (c.s.v.) is tested by comparing the cyclic and stripping voltammograms obtained with this electrode for thiocyanate, tryptophane, cysteine and benzotriazole against those obtained with the hanging copper-amalgam drop electrode (HCADE) and the HMDE. The cathodic stripping peaks obtained at the copper-based MFE and the HCADE are usually narrower and higher and are located at more negative potentials than the peaks obtained at the HMDE. Lower detection limits and better separations of adjacent peaks are thus achieved, and useful peaks can be separated from the mercury waves obtained with the conventional HMDE. The advantage of the copper-based MFE over the HCADE is its simplicity of preparation and maintenance. Thiocyanate, tryptophane, cysteine and benzotriazole can be determined at the copper-based MFE by c.s.v. with detection limits of 1 × 10?8, 1 × 10?8, 5 × 10?8 mol dm?3, respectively.  相似文献

An analytical expression describing voltammetric behaviors responses at microdisk electrode for various diffusion conditions and degrees of reversibility is reported in this paper. Results of theoretical calculation made it possible to use cyclic voltammetry to evaluate heterogeneous rate constants under intermediate diffusion conditions. At relatively low scan rate, the distortion of current-voltage can be reduced due to small iR drops and charging current. The effects of transfer coefficient, a, kinetic parameter, (=k0r/4D), and switching potential, s, on potential peak separation are discussed in detail. The relationship obtained in this paper between potential peak separation and \ is in good agreement with that in Ref. 14, whose authors have got their results by using digital simulation technique. After the experiment of Fe(CN)64- oxidation, k0 and a were obtained by the theory of this paper. The result agrees with that in Ref. 19.  相似文献

An adsorptive stripping voltammetric method for the determination of the pesticide dinoseb (2-sec.-butyl-4,6-dinitrophenol) at the mercury film electrode is described. The deposition of the mercury film on a glassy carbon disk electrode was optimized. The temperature, at which the mercury film was deposited, was demonstrated to have a strong influence on the stripping peaks, the first one being much more intense than the second. A systematic study of the variables affecting the stripping response was carried out by differential pulse voltammetry. The results obtained have been compared with those at the HMDE; a significant improvement in the sensitivity of the method developed with the MFE was observed. Using a 300 s accumulation time, the limits of determination and detection were 3.6 × 10–10 and 1.1 × 10–10 mol L–1, respectively. The effect of the presence of several herbicides on the dinoseb response was also tested. The method has been applied to the determination of the pesticide in spiked apple juice at two concentration levels: 12.0 and 1.2 g L–1 of juice.  相似文献

Controlled adsorptive accumulation at the hanging mercury drop electrode enables 0.8–11 × 10?5 M chlordiazepoxide to be quantified by differential-pulse stripping voltammetry with accumulation times of 1–3 min. With 3-min accumulation, the peak current is enhanced 12-fold for 1.0 × 10?7 M chlordiazepoxide compared to the current from differential pulse polarography. The detection limit is 0.9 × 10?9 M for 4-min accumulation. The procedure is applied to spiked human serum after preseparation of the drug on a Sep-Pak C18 cartridge.  相似文献

The Ge(IV)—Ge(0) system was investigated by cyclic and stripping voltammetry at HMDE in acidic pyrogallol medium and in phosphate, borate and carbonate buffers. It was found that germanium electrodeposited from dilute Ge(IV) solutions dissolved anodically forming two peaks corresponding to the oxidation of the unstable homogeneous and stable heterogeneous amalgams. Both peaks can be exploited analytically for the determination of traces of germanium but due to the complex nature of the germanium amalgam the sensitivity and reproducibility of the determinations are lower compared to the results obtained for metals well-soluble in mercury.  相似文献

This paper describes a stripping method for the determination of nevirapine at the submicromolar concentration levels. The method is based on controlled adsorptive accumulation of nevirapine at thin-film mercury electrode, followed by a linear cyclic scan voltammetry measurement of the surface species. Optimal experimental conditions include a 2.0 x 10(-3) mol L(-1) NaOH solution (supporting electrolyte), an accumulation potential of -0.20 V, and a scan rate of 100 mV s(-1). The response of nevirapine is linear over the concentration range 0.01-0.14 ppm. For an accumulation time of 6 minutes, the detection limit was found to be 0.87 ppb (3.0 x 10(-9) mol L(-1)). More convenient methods to measure the nevirapine in presence of the efavirenz, acyclovir, didanosine, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir, lamivudine, zidovudine and metals ions were also investigated. The utility of this method is demonstrated by the presence of nevirapine together with ATP or DNA.  相似文献

本文对不同条件下形成的汞D$的形成过程丶汞膜形态与其形成条件的关系以及对溶出峰的影响.结果表明: 玻碳表面的汞膜是由视直径小于10μm, 的微汞滴构成, 其分布密度随镀汞电位的负值增加而增加;微汞滴在电析过程中不断长大并相聚成更大一些的微汞滴, 在旋转玻碳电极上, 汞膜的最大平均厚度大会超过5μm, 而适用于溶溶出分析的范围为0.05~1μm, 比文献记载的范围(0.001~10-5M时虽经长时间镀汞用的Hg2+ 浓度的适用范围为1X10-5 ~2x10-4 m; Hg 2+浓度为2X10-ⅴM 时虽经长时间镀汞亦不易产生较大的微汞滴. 实验还表明峰高的重现性与电极表面载汞量有关. 还观察到较大的微汞滴在电极表面滑动以致被甩离电极表面的现象, 严重时会引起峰的下降.  相似文献

Linear-sweep voltammetry at a dropping mercury electrode is examined in flowing systems with parallel, opposite and normal mercury and fluid flow. The influence of fluid velocity (0–12 cm s?1) on current and potential parameters of linear-sweep voltammograms is described. The ranges of fluid velocity in which current parameters are independent of flow, were determined by analysis of variance. It is shown that at certain sweep rates, the current does not depend on fluid velocity up to 12 cm s?1.  相似文献

Controlled adsorptive accumulation of testosterone, methyltestosterone and progesterone on the static mercury drop electrode provides the basis for direct stripping measurement of these compounds ar nanomolar concentrations. The adsorptive stripping behavior is evaluated with respect to preconcentration time and potential, stripping mode, concentration dependence, drop size and other variables. With 5-min accumulation, peak current enhancements of 45, 18 anal 12 are observed for 5 × 10?8 M testosterone, progesterone and methyltestosterone, respectively, relative to direct pulse voltammetry. Detection limits are 1.6 × 10?10 M for testosterone, 2 × 10?10 M for progesterone and 3.3 × 10?10 M for methyltestosterone with 15-min preconcentration. The relative standard deviation for 8 × 10?8 M progesterone is 3.4% (n=8). Applicability to direct measurements of methyltestosterone in pharmaceutical formulations is assessed.  相似文献

After reaction with nitric acid, brucine can be transformed into cacotheline, and then measured indirectly by adsorptive stripping voltammetry. This method is based on the adsorptive accumulation of cacotheline at a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by cathodic linear sweep voltammetry. The cathodic peak potential is about -0.35 V (vs. saturated Ag AgCl ). The detection limit of 2.0 x 10(-9) M is obtained under optimized conditions. The electrochemical behaviour of cacotheline and the mechanism of the electrode reactions are discussed.  相似文献

The voltammetric behavior of amaranth at a mercury thin film electrode on a silver substrate was studied in this paper. It was found that amaranth gave a sensitive reduction peak with the potential of -0.24 V at pH 4.0 in aqueous solution. The mercury thin film electrode on a silver substrate gave good reproducibility and useful life time. The peak currents depended linearly on the concentrations of amaranth from 0 to 100 ppb.  相似文献

In a supporting electrolyte of NaOH, a pair of cathodic and anodic peaks of N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1-phenylmethyl-4-piperidinyl)-ethanediamide (DBPPE) is found by cyclic voltammetry at a Hg electrode. The cathodic and anodic peak potentials are -1.53 and -1.46 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively. The cathodic peak shows adsorptive characteristics when the concentration of DBPPE is low and the preconcentration time is long. The adsorbed species is most probably the DBPPE neutral molecule. The method for measuring trace amount of DBPPE by adsorptive stripping voltammetry is established and the detection limit can reach 5 x 10(-9)M with a 6-min preconcentration.  相似文献

The use of the differential pulse mode in anodic stripping voltammetry with an electrode consisting of a thin mercury film deposited in situ on a glassy carbon support leads to detection limits which are 3–5 times lower than if a simple linear scan is used at the same electrode. If the glassy carbon electrode has a high base current, the improvement in detection limit with differential pulse will be even greater. Differential pulse peak currents, however, are more susceptible to interference by surface-active substances, and undetected adsorption/desorption effects can cause serious errors. Precautions which are necessary to maintain a glassy carbon electrode in good condition are described.  相似文献

Adsorptive stripping voltammetry was used for the determination of trace amounts of the dye Tartrazine (E-102) by square-wave (SWS) and differential pulse techniques (DPS). Its adsorptive voltammetric behaviour was investigated at different pH media. NH4Cl/NH3 buffer solution was chosen as the most suitable, taking into account the sensitivity and definition of the reduction peaks obtained. The effects of the experimental parameters on the determination are discussed. Standard deviations of 3.3% and 2.6% were obtained by SWS and DPS for 100 and 50 μg/L Tartrazine solutions, respectively (n = 10). Both methods were applied to determine the dye in several commercial soft drinks, containing very small amounts of it. Measurements were made directly in the commercial samples. A comparison of the results obtained by the proposed voltammetric methods with those of an HPLC method was also made. Good correlations between the voltammetric results and the values supplied by the manufacturer were found, whereas recoveries of the same order of magnitude were obtained by the HPLC method. Controlled adsorptive accumulation of 2-thioorotic acid (6-carboxy-2-thiouracil) on the hanging mercury drop electrode provides the basis for the direct stripping measurement of that compound in the nanomolar concentration level. Differential pulse voltammetry, following 3 min preconcentration, yields a detection limit of 5.0×10-10 M 2-thioorotic acid. The cathodic stripping response is evaluated with respect to experimental parameters such as preconcentration time and potential, bulk concentration and others. Best results are obtained using a 0.001 M NaOH electrolyte.Two different methods of cathodic stripping voltammetry can be proposed for the determination of 2-thioorotic acid and the reproducibility of these methods is studied.  相似文献

A simple, rapid, and inexpensive anodic stripping voltammetric method with a mercury thin film electrode is reported for the establishment of baseline concentrations of cadmium, lead, and copper in natural waters. The procedure for routine surface preparation of wax-impregnated graphite mercury film electrodes requires about 30 min. Concentrations in the 0.006–6 μg l-1 range are determined by linear d.c. voltage sweeps; the total time for a plating and stripping cycle is 6 min or less. The need for pressure-digesting samples for copper determinations is demonstrated. The a.s.v. results correlate well with corresponding analyses performed by graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献
