In this paper, we study the stability of two inverse boundary value problems in an infinite slab with partial data. These problems have been studied by Li and Uhlmann for the case of the Schrödinger equation and by Krupchyk, Lassas, and Uhlmann for the case of the magnetic Schrödinger equation. Here, we quantify the method of uniqueness proposed by Li and Uhlmann and prove a log–log stability estimate for the inverse problems associated to the Schrödinger equation. The boundary measurements considered in these problems are modeled by partial knowledge of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map: in the first inverse problem, the corresponding Dirichlet and Neumann data are known on different boundary hyperplanes of the slab; in the second inverse problem, they are known on the same boundary hyperplane of the slab.  相似文献

In this paper, the nonlinear iterative methods, which are different from the classical algorithms, to solve inverse problems are presented. Our methods by denoting some parameters and some properties of the algorithm in both noise and noiseless cases are studied. We prove that the material parameters in a Dirac system with magnetic and electric potentials are uniquely determined by measurements made on a possibly small subset of the boundary. The proof is based on a combination of Carleman estimates for first and second order systems, and involves a reduction of the boundary measurements to the second order case. For this reduction a certain amount of decoupling is required. To effectively make use of the decoupling, the Carleman estimates are established for coefficients which may become singular in the asymptotic limit.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the one-dimensional Schrodinger operator L(q)L(q) with complex-valued periodic potential q   when q∈L1[0,1]qL1[0,1] and qn=0qn=0 for n=0,−1,−2,...n=0,1,2,..., where qnqn are the Fourier coefficients of q   with respect to the system {ei2πnx}{ei2πnx}. We prove that the Bloch eigenvalues are (2πn+t)2(2πn+t)2 for n∈ZnZ, t∈CtC and find explicit formulas for the Bloch functions. Then we consider the inverse problem for this operator.  相似文献

The article discusses the discretization of linear inverse problems. When an inverse problem is formulated in terms of infinite-dimensional function spaces and then discretized for computational purposes, a discretization error appears. Since inverse problems are typically ill-posed, neglecting this error may have serious consequences to the quality of the reconstruction. The Bayesian paradigm provides tools to estimate the statistics of the discretization error that is made part of the measurement and modelling errors of the estimation problem. This approach also provides tools to reduce the dimensionality of inverse problems in a controlled manner. The ideas are demonstrated with a computed example.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to a class of inverse problems for a nonlinear parabolic differential equation. The unknown coefficient of the equation depends on the gradient of the solution and belongs to a set of admissible coefficients. It is proved that the convergence of solutions for the corresponding direct problems continuously depends on the coefficient convergence. Based on this result the existence of a quasisolution of the inverse problem is obtained in the appropriate class of admissible coefficients.  相似文献

In this study, we define a class of non-self-adjoint boundary value problems on finite networks associated with Schrödinger operators. The novel feature of this study is that no data are prescribed on part of the boundary, whereas both the values of the function and of its normal derivative are given on another part of the boundary. We show that overdetermined partial boundary value problems are crucial for solving inverse boundary value problems on finite networks since they provide the theoretical foundations for the recovery algorithm. We analyze the uniqueness and the existence of solution for overdetermined partial boundary value problems based on the nonsingularity of partial Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps. These maps allow us to determine the value of the solution in the part of the boundary where no data was prescribed. We also execute full conductance recovery for spider networks.  相似文献

The paper deals with the numerical solution of inverse Sturm-Liouville problems with unknown potential symmetric over the interval [0, π]. The proposed method is based on the use of a family of Boundary Value Methods, obtained as a generalization of the Numerov scheme, aimed to the computation of an approximation of the potential belonging to a suitable function space of finite dimension. The accuracy and stability properties of the resulting procedure for particular choices of such function space are investigated. The reported numerical experiments put into evidence the competitiveness of the new method.  相似文献

We consider the linear inverse problem of reconstructing an unknown finite measure μ from a noisy observation of a generalized moment of μ defined as the integral of a continuous and bounded operator Φ with respect to μ. Motivated by various applications, we focus on the case where the operator Φ is unknown; instead, only an approximation Φm to it is available. An approximate maximum entropy solution to the inverse problem is introduced in the form of a minimizer of a convex functional subject to a sequence of convex constraints. Under several assumptions on the convex functional, the convergence of the approximate solution is established.  相似文献

We solve the inverse spectral problem of recovering the singular potential from W−12(0,1) of a Sturm-Liouville operator by its spectra on the three intervals [0,1], [0,a], and [a,1] for some a∈(0,1). The purpose of this paper is to provide the convergence theory for the iterative approach given by M.T. Chu [Numerical methods for inverse singular value problems, SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 29 (1992), pp. 885–903] in the context of solving inverse singular value problems. We provide a detailed convergence analysis and show that the ultimate rate of convergence is quadratic in the root sense. Numerical results which confirm our theory are presented. It is still an open issue to prove that the method is Q-quadratic convergent as claimed by M.T. Chu.  相似文献

Lower closure theorems are proved for optimal control problems governed by ordinary differential equations for which the interval of definition may be unbounded. One theorem assumes that Cesari's property (Q) holds. Two theorems are proved which do not require property (Q), but assume either a generalized Lipschitz condition or a bound on the controls in an appropriateL p-space. In this paper we propose an iterative algorithm to solve large size linear inverse ill posed problems. The regularization problem is formulated as a constrained optimization problem. The dual Lagrangian problem is iteratively solved to compute an approximate solution. Before starting the iterations, the algorithm computes the necessary smoothing parameters and the error tolerances from the data.The numerical experiments performed on test problems show that the algorithm gives good results both in terms of precision and computational efficiency.  相似文献

Having in mind applications to the fault-detection/diagnosis of lossless electrical networks, here we consider some inverse scattering problems for Schrödinger operators over star-shaped graphs. We restrict ourselves to the case of minimal experimental setup consisting in measuring, at most, two reflection coefficients when an infinite homogeneous (potential-less) branch is added to the central node. First, by studying the asymptotic behavior of only one reflection coefficient in the high-frequency limit, we prove the identifiability of the geometry of this star-shaped graph: the number of edges and their lengths. Next, we study the potential identification problem by inverse scattering, noting that the potentials represent the inhomogeneities due to the soft faults in the network wirings (potentials with bounded H1-norms). The main result states that, under some assumptions on the geometry of the graph, the measurement of two reflection coefficients, associated to two different sets of boundary conditions at the external vertices of the tree, determines uniquely the potentials; it can be seen as a generalization of the theorem of the two boundary spectra on an interval.  相似文献

The inverse problems of determining the source and coefficient of an elliptic equation in a rectangle are studied. Additional information on the solution to the direct problem (overdetermination) is the trace of its solution on an interval inside the rectangle. Sufficient existence and uniqueness conditions (global) are derived for the inverse problems. Contrary to the prevailing opinion about the incorrectness of the inverse MEEG-problem, we prove its unique solvability in the framework of the system of Maxwell''s equations [3]. The solution of this problem is the distribution of ${\bf y} \mapsto {\bf q}({\bf y})$ current dipoles of brain neurons that occupies the region $Y \subset \mathbb{R}^3 $. It is uniquely determined by the non-invasive measurements of the electric and magnetic fields induced by the current dipoles of neurons on the patient"s head. The solution can be represented in the form ${\bf q}={\bf q}_0+{\bf p}_0\delta\Big|_{\partial Y}$, where ${\bf q}_0$ is the usual function defined in $Y,$ and ${\bf p}_0\delta\Big|_{\partial Y} $ is a $\delta$-function on the boundary of the domain $Y$ with a certain density ${\bf p}_0$. It is essential that ${\bf p}_0$ and ${\bf q}_0$ are interrelated. This ensures the correctness of the inverse MEEG-problem. However, the components of the required 3-dimensional distribution $ {\bf q} $ must turn out to be linearly dependent if only the magnetic field ${\bf B}$ is taken into account. This question is considered in detail in a flat model of the situation.  相似文献

This article presents a mathematical analysis of input-output mappings in inverse coefficient and source problems for the linear parabolic equation ut=(kx(x)ux)+F(x,t), (x,t)∈ΩT:=(0,1)×(0,T]. The most experimentally feasible boundary measured data, the Neumann output (flux) data f(t):=−k(0)ux(0,t), is used at the boundary x=0. For each inverse problems structure of the input-output mappings is analyzed based on maximum principle and corresponding adjoint problems. Derived integral identities between the solutions of forward problems and corresponding adjoint problems, permit one to prove the monotonicity and invertibility of the input-output mappings.
