Four new tin(IV)/organotin(IV) complexes, [SnCl3(BPCT)] (2), [MeSnCl2(BPCT)] (3), [Me2SnCl(BPCT)] (4), and [Ph2SnCl(BPCT)] (5), have been synthesized by the direct reaction of 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone [HBPCT, (1)] and stannic chloride/organotin(IV) chloride(s) in absolute methanol under purified nitrogen. HBPCT and its tin(IV)/organotin(IV) complexes (25) were characterized by CHN analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectral studies. In all the complexes, tin(IV) was coordinated via pyridine-N, azomethine-N, and thiolato-S from 1. The molecular structure of 2 has been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Complex 2 is a monomer and the central tin(IV) is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal system of 2 is monoclinic with space group P121/n1 and the unit cell dimensions are a?=?8.3564(3)?Å, b?=?23.1321(8)?Å, c?=?11.9984(4)?Å.  相似文献

The complexes of piperidine dithiocarbamate, 2-aminopyridine dithiocarbamate and organotin(IV) of the type R3Sn(L1), R2Sn(L1)2, R3Sn(L2), R2Sn(L2)2, [R=C6H5CH2 (benzyl), p-ClC6H4CH2 (p-chlorobenzyl), L 1=sodium piperidine dithiocarbamate and L 2=sodium 2-aminopyridine dithiocarbamate] have been synthesised and characterised by spectral studies (IR, UV, 1H NMR). Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analytical (DTA) studies have beeen carried out for these complexes and from the TG curves, the order and apparent activation energy for the thermal decomposition reactions have been elucidated. The various thermal studies have been correlated with some structural aspects of the complexes concerned. From DTA curves, the heat of reaction has been calculated.  相似文献

Four new organotin(IV) complexes with 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde-N(4)-ethylthiosemicarbazone [(H2DNET), (1)] of the type [MeSnCl(DNET] (2), [BuSnCl(DNET)] (3), [PhSnCl(DNET)] (4), and [Ph2Sn(DNET] (5) have been synthesized by the direct reaction of H2DNET (1) with organotin(IV) chloride(s) in the presence of potassium hydroxide in absolute methanol. All the compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, IR, 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectral studies. The molecular structure of ligand (1) has been confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Spectroscopic data clearly suggested that Sn(IV) center is coordinated with the ONS tridentate ligand (H2DNET) and exhibits a five-coordinate geometry in solution. Antibacterial studies were carried out in vitro against four bacterial strains. All organotin(IV) compounds (2–5) showed good activity against various bacteria but lower activity than the reference drug (Ciprofloxacin). The results demonstrate that organic groups attached to tin(IV) moiety have significant effect on their biological activities. Among them, diphenyltin(IV) derivative 5 exhibits significantly good activity than the other organotin(IV) derivatives (2–4).  相似文献

New organotin(IV) complexes with empirical formula Sn(SNNNS)R2, where SNNNS is the dianionic form of 2,6-diacetylpyridine Schiff bases of S-methyldithiocarbazate (H2dapsme) or S-benzyldithiocarbazate (H2dapsbz) and R = Ph or Me, have been prepared and characterized by IR, UV-Vis, NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopic techniques and conductance measurements. The molecular structures of the Sn(dapsme)R2 (R = Ph and Me) have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Both complexes have a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry in which the tin is coordinated by a dinegatively charged pentadentate chelating agent via pyridine nitrogen, two azomethine nitrogens, and two thiolate sulfurs. The five donors (N3S2) provided by the Schiff base occupy the equatorial plane close to a pentagonal planar array while the carbanion ligands occupy axial sites.  相似文献

Diorganotin(IV) and diorganosilicon(IV) derivatives of the types R2MCl(TSCZ) and R2M(TSCZ)2 (where TSCZ is the anion of a thiosemicarbazone ligand, R=Ph or Me and M=Sn or Si) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations and conductivity measurements. The mode of bonding has been established on the basis of IR and 1H, 13C 29Si and 119Sn NMR spectroscopic studies. Phenylmercuric acetate, triphenyltin chloride and dibutyltin chloride react with alkali‐metal or ammonium salts of some 1,1‐ and 1,2‐dithio ligands in appropriate molar ratios to yield a series of organometallic dithio complexes of the type [PhHgX] (X = butylxanthate (Buxant), cyclohexylxanthate (Cyxant), benzylxanthate (Bzxant) or pyrrolidin‐1‐yldithiocarbamate (Pdtc); [(PhHg)2X] (X = isomaleonitriledithiolate (i‐MNT2−) or 1‐ethoxycarbonyl‐1‐cyanoethylene‐2,2‐dithiolate (ecda2−); Ph3SnX (X = Buxant or Pdtc); [(Ph3Sn)2(i‐MNT)] and [Bu2SnMNT] (MNT2− = maleonitriledithiolate). These complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, IR, FT‐Raman, 1H and 13C NMR and fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra. Cyclic dimeric structures for phenylmercuryxanthates and monomeric structures for the remaining complexes are suggested. Antibacterial activities of the complexes and parent ligands have been screened against some well‐known pathogenic bacteria. The known organotin(IV) complexes with 2-mercaptopyrimidine (L) [Me2SnL2] (1), [Bun 2SnL2] (2), [Ph2SnL2] (3), and [Ph3SnL] (4) were synthesized using a new approach. The effect of the synthesized compounds on peroxidation of fatty acids (oleic and linoleic) was studied. Complexes 1–4 promote the peroxidation of oleic acid. Their effect on the enzymatic peroxidation of linoleic acid with lipoxygenase was compared with that of cisplatin and in vitro cytoxicity against sarcoma cancer cells was determined. Organotin(IV) complexes of kojic acid and maltol of the type R3Sn(L) and R2Sn(L)Cl [R=C6H5CH2-,p-ClC6H4CH2-; HL=kojic acid, maltol] have been synthesized in anhydrous THF. They were characterized by UV, IR,1H NMR, and mass spectral studies. Their activityvs. E. coli, S. aureus and P. pyocyanea bacterial strains have been studied and the general order of activity is S. auresu>P. pyocyanea>E. coli. In all the complexes, the ligand acts as bidentate, forming a five membered chelate ring. All the complexes are 11 metal ligand complexes. Various thermodynamic parameters have been calculated for the first two decomposition steps using TG/DTA/DSC curves. The in vitro antifungal activity of the dithiocarbamate organotin complexes [Sn{S2CN(CH2)4}2Cl2] ( 1 ), [Sn{S2CN(CH2)4}2Ph2] ( 2 ), [Sn{S2CN(CH2)4}Ph3] ( 3 ), [Sn{S2CN(CH2)4}2n‐Bu2] ( 4 ), [Sn{S2CN(CH2)4}Cy3] {Cy = cyclohexyl} ( 5 ), [Sn{S2CN(C2H5)2}2Cl2] ( 6 ), [Sn{S2CN(C2H5)2}2Ph2] ( 7 ), [Sn{S2CN(C2H5)2}Ph3] ( 8 ), [Sn{S2CN(C2H5)2}3Ph] ( 9 ) and [Sn{S2CN(C2H5)2}Cy3] ( 10 ) has been screened against Candida albicans (ATCC 18804), Candida tropicalis (ATCC 750) and resistant Candida albicans collected from HIV‐positive Brazilian patients with oral candidiasis. All compounds exhibited antifungal activities and complexes 3 and 8 displayed the best results. We have investigated the effect of compounds 1–10 on the cellular activity of the yeast cultures. Changes in mitochondrial function have not been detected. However, all drugs reduced ergosterol biosynthesis. Preliminary studies on DNA integrity indicated that the compounds do not cause gross damage to yeast DNA. The data suggest that these compounds share some mechanisms of action on cell membranes similar to that of polyene but not with azole drugs, normally used in Candida infections. A heteroscorpionate ligand, potassium hydrobis(benzoato)(salicylaldehyde)borate (KL), has been synthesized. This was converted into organotin complexes R2SnL2 and R3SnL complexes by mixing and stirring with a methanolic solution/suspension of organotin chloride. The ligand and its complexes were characterized by elemental analyses and spectral studies (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI mass spectra and Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA)). Antibacterial and antifungal studies of these compounds were evaluated by the disc diffusion method at variable concentration against three species of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia and Bacillius subtillis) and two species of fungi (Asperjillius fiavus and Candida albicans). It was found that triorganotin derivatives (R3SnL) of the ligand were more effective as compared with diorganotin derivatives (R2SnL2). The organotin complexes of borates were tested for their algicidal activity on the cyanobacterial strains Aulosira fertilissma, Anabaena species, Anabaena variabilis and Nostoc muscorum and showed high to moderate toxicity towards the above species. The ligand and its complexes were also tested for its pH effect on soil in vitro for a duration of more than one month and it was found that they are able to kill pests without damaging the soil quality. Complexes 2–7 have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Visible, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. Complexes 27 are non-electrolytes. The molecular structure of [Me2Sn(APTC)]?·?(C2H5OH) (5) has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The thiocarbohydrazone ligand (1) and 27 have been tested for antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi and Enterococci aeruginosa.  相似文献

This study encompasses the synthesis and characterization of organotin(IV) derivatives of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen (IBF), viz. [(Me3Sn)(IBF)] ( 1 ), [(Bu3Sn)(IBF)] ( 2 ), [Ph3Sn(IBF)] ( 3 ), {[Me2Sn(IBF)]2O}2 ( 4 ) and [Bu2Sn(IBF)2] ( 5 ). The crystal structure of complex 3 , [Ph3Sn(IBF)], indicates a highly distorted tetrahedral (td) geometry with anisobidentate mode of coordination of the carboxylate group with tin atom, and a similar structure has been proposed for other two triorganotin(IV) derivatives. Moreover, the DFT (density functional theory) calculation and other studies have verified a dimer distannoxane type of structure for complex 4 , {[Me2Sn(IBF)]2O}2. Complex 5 has been found to exhibit a highly distorted octahedral geometry around the tin atom. To investigate the DNA binding profile of the synthesized complexes, viscosity measurement, UV–vis and fluorescence titrations were performed, which revealed an intercalative type of binding with DNA for IBF and complex 5 and external binding in case of the complexes 1 and 2 ; complexes 3 and 4 could not be studied owing to their insufficient solubility in tris buffer. Plasmid DNA fragmentation studies of IBF and complexes 1 , 2 and 5 indicate that they cleaved the pBR322 plasmid potentially. Further, the drugs IBF {2-[4-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl]propanoic acid}, MESNA (sodium 2-mercaptoethane-sulfonate), warfarin [2H-1-benzopyran-2-one,4-hydroxy-3-(3-oxo-1-phenylbutyl)], sulindac (2-{5-fluoro-1-[(4-methanesulfinylphenyl) methylidene]-2-methyl-1H-inden-3-yl}acetic acid) and their corresponding organotin(IV) complexes 1–19 (complexes 6–19 were synthesized/reported previously) were screened in vitro for cytotoxicity against human cancer cell lines viz. DU145 (prostate cancer), HCT-15 (colon adenocarcinoma), Caco-2 (colorectal adenocarcinoma), MCF-7 (mammary cancer), LNCaP (androgen-sensitive prostate adenocarcinoma) and HeLa (cervical cancer), through MTT reduction assay and the cause of cell death was investigated through acridine orange/ethidium bromide staining of cells and DNA fragmentation assay. The probable structure–cytotoxicity relationship is also discussed. The major role of apoptosis along with small necrosis was also validated by flow cytometry assay using annexin V–fluorescein isothiocyanate and propidium iodide analysis.  相似文献

This paper proposes a quick, novel method for tin determination in organotin chemicals by slurry nebulization inductively coupled plasma atomic emission (ICP-AES) spectrometry. The method was tested by the measurement of five organotin carboxylate complexes of known composition for obtaining simple stoichiometric data. The slurries were prepared by first dissolving the organotins in an adequate solvent (methanol, pyridine or acetone) well miscible with water and then adding this solution drop-by-drop to a 0.005% TX-100 tenzide solution while maintaining intensive mixing. Dynamic laser light scattering experiments showed that the average equivalent particle size in the resulting slurry was ≈0.3 μm for all samples and solvents. Under suitable ICP-AES measuring conditions, the signal recoveries were found to be between 101.8 and 106.6%, which allowed direct nebulization and calibration against aqueous solutions. Typically, 70 μg l−1 detection limit and 1–5% relative S.D. on five replicates can be achieved by the described method.  相似文献

The coordination behaviour of the diorganotin (IV) compounds R2SnCl2 (where R = Me, Ph) with 4H-pyrido [1,2-a] pyrimidin-4-one derivatives (L) has been described. The complexes R2SnCl2 · L obtained have been characterized physicochemically and spectroscopically. The pyrimidin-4-one ligands were found to coordinate with R2SnCl2 species in a monodentate fashion, mainly via the oxygen atom of the 4-one group or possibly via the nitrogen atom of the (SINGLE BOND)C(DOUBLE BOND)N linkage (the less sterically hindered nitrogen of the pyrimidine derivative) to give pentacoordinate tin complexes. Of the complexes selected to be screened against five tumour cell lines, some exhibited significant in vitro activity.  相似文献

New mono-, di- and tri-organotin(IV) derivatives containing the neutral bis(2-pyridylthio)methane ligand, [(pyS)2CH2] and tris(2-pyridylthio)methane ligand, [(pyS)3CH] have been synthesized from reaction with SnRnCl4−n (R = Me, nBu, Ph and Cy, n = 1-3) acceptors. Mono-nuclear adducts of the type {[(pyS)2CH2]RnSnCl4−n} and {[(pyS)3CH]RnSnCl4−n} have been obtained and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, ESI-MS, multinuclear (1H and 119Sn) NMR spectral data. The 1H and 119Sn NMR and ESI-MS data suggest for the triorganotin(IV) derivatives a complete dissociation of the compounds in solution. The mono- and di-organotin(IV) derivatives show a greater stability in solution, and their spectroscopic data are in accordance with the existence of six-coordinated RSnCl3N2 or R2SnCl2N2 species.  相似文献
