A carbonyl hemoglobin (HbCO) solution was stirred with a mixed powder of polymerizable 1,2-bis(2,4-octadecadienoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DODPC), cholesterol and stearic acid (7/7/2 by mol). The mixture was extruded through polycarbonate membrane filters (final pore size = 0.2 μm Ø). The average diameter of the resulting vesicles was 203 ± 39 nm. The [Hb]/[Lipid] ratio (the weight ratio of Hb in vesicle to lipid) increased with the Hb concentration, and decreased with the NaCl concentration. A maximum [Hb]/[lipid] ratio was observed at pH 6.9, which was the same as the isoelectric point of Hb. The vesicles were stabilized by γ-irradiation (60Co) because the bilayer lipids bound each other to yield polyphospholipids. Denaturation of Hb by γ-irradiation was not detected. These polyphospholipid vesicles encapsulating Hb were stable even against the freeze–thaw cycles and the freeze-drying procedure. 相似文献

Alterations of device characteristics as a result of γ-ray irradiation of quantum well lasers are different from those of heterostructure bulk lasers with respect to optical emission properties. We propose that these irradiation effects may be caused by structural changes in the quantum layers, due to an atomic displacement and migration between layers and due to changes in the degree of strain between the layers. This affects the layers’ atomic composition, which changes the band-gap energy levels and the refraction indexes, and, as a result, the carrier and optical confinements, respectively. The changes in optical radiation characteristics brought about by γ-ray irradiation are desirable ones for utilization in most optical fiber communication systems. 相似文献

Graft copolymerization of maleimide onto ethyl cellulose and polyethylene films by using its sublimation vapor was carried out under γ- or ultraviolet irradiation. When polyethylene film was used as a backbone polymer the grafting reaction proceeded without a perceptible sorption of monomer, while a considerable amount of monomer was captured into ethyl cellulose film and grafting of the sorbed monomer was observed. The monomer seemed to be monomolecularly dispersed in this film. The presence of air retarded the reaction. The grafted films were characterized by strong infrared absorption bands due to polymaleimide branching. The fractions assigned to the graft copolymer were isolated from the grafted films by selective elution. The grafted branches were supposed to be very short, judging from the polymaleimide contents of those fractions. 相似文献

Telomerisation reactions have been investigated for the alkenes 1,1-difluoroethene (5) and hexafluoropropene (3) with the telogens CF2Br2 (1), CF3CFBr2 (8) and CF3CBr3 (9), as a means of preparing telomers and co-telomers. The efficiency of chain transfer increases as 18<9. Surprisingly, co-telomerisations of 5 with 3 occurred more efficiently than the corresponding telomerisations with 5 alone. Top layers of γ-Al2O3 composite membranes have been modified by the silane coupling technique using phenyltriethoxysilane for improving the separation factor of CO2 to N2. The separation efficiency of the modified membranes was strongly dependent upon the hydroxylation tendency of the support materials and the amount of the special functional group (i.e. phenyl radical) which was coupled onto a top layer. The separation factor through the TiO2 supported γ-Al2O3 membrane was found to be fairly enhanced by silane coupling, but in case of the -Al2O3 supported membrane was not. The CO2/N2 separation factor through the modified γ-Al2O3/TiO2 composite membrane is 1.7 at 90°C and ΔP = 2 × 105 Pa for the binary mixture containing 50 vol% CO2. The separation factor is proportional to the CO2 concentration in the gas mixture, and the modified membrane is stable up to 100°C. The main mechanism of the CO2 transport through the modified γ-Al2O3 layer is known to be a surface diffusion. 相似文献

The micro-structural integrity of meso-porous inorganic membranes is of critical importance in their prolonged application. Inspection by transmission electron microscopy of state-of-the-art γ-alumina membrane cross-sections, made by focused ion beam milling, reveals structural defects which adversely affect performance, reproducibility, and lifetime. It is shown that the use of macro-porous supports with a smooth, defect-free deposition surface for membrane dip coating, in combination with purified precursor sols and clean processing, leads to major improvements in micro-structural homogeneity and properties of the membranes. Large particle contaminants/agglomerates can be effectively removed from precursor sols by high-speed centrifugation or ultrasound-assisted screening. While centrifugation is the most practical method for routine use, filter screening provides a more complete removal of agglomerates and larger particles (>80 nm Ø). Application of the purified membrane precursor sols results in membranes in which connected pore defects (pinholes) are no longer detectable for a membrane thickness of >500 nm thick. The almost complete absence of connected pinholes, obtained with improved membrane processing, is demonstrated by near-100% retention of CaCl2 in aqueous solution by nano-filtration. The γ-alumina processing experience, collected in our group in the years 2002–2006, is accumulated in a 34-step processing protocol for γ-alumina membranes with a >500 nm single layer thickness. 相似文献

Polystyrene (PS) microspheres coated with β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) were fabricated via γ‐ray‐induced emulsion polymerization in a ternary system of styrene/β‐CD/water (St/β‐CD/water). The solid inclusion complex of St and β‐CD particles formed at the St droplets–water interface can stabilize the emulsion as the surfactant. TEM and XPS results showed that β‐CD remains on the surface of PS particles. The average size of the PS particles increases from 186 to 294 nm as the weight ratio of β‐CD to St rises from 5% to 12.5%. The water contact angle (CA) of PS latex film is lower than 90°, and reduces with the β‐CD content even to 36°. Thus, this work provides a new and one‐pot strategy to surface hydrophilic modification on hydrophobic polymer particles with cyclodextrins through radiation emulsion polymerization. 相似文献

Ten aromatic derivatives of β-aminopropionic acid and γ-aminobutyric acid were prepared.Their compositions and structures were identified by elemental analysis,IR,and 1H NMR.They have been examined for their antibacterial action against Staphylococcua aurens and Escherichia coli.These compounds showed higher activity than the aromatic derivatives of ct-amino acid which were reported previously.The general conclusion to be drawn is that the distance between amino and carboxylic group in these molecules could affect their antibacterial activity.Furthermore,those compounds with p-methyl substituent in phenyl ring exhibit higher activity than the others,and all the compounds exhibit higher activity against Escherichia coli and against Staphylococcua aureus. 相似文献

Poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) has been focused on recently due to its variety of applications specifically in microsystems technology. Many companies market two-component PDMS, which is comprised of a base component and a curing agent. Widely known and used for microsystems applications is Sylgard 184 from Dow Corning. Present work deals with two-component Room Temperature Vulcanized (RTV) PDMS from three different companies. They are Sylgard 184 from Dow Corning, RTV 615 from GE Silicones and RTV 141 from Rhodia Chemicals. Temporary increase in wettability of these three different types of PDMS by oxygen plasma by varying the plasma power and exposure time has been studied and compared with results available in literature. The hydrophobic recovery of the modified surfaces was monitored as a function of time and quantified. The surfaces were characterized using contact angle measurements and ATR-FTIR and XPS spectroscopy, their behavior analyzed in term of free surface energy and work of adhesion. 相似文献

An efficient method for the selective hydrogenation of a series of α,β-epoxyketones to β-hydroxyketones using catalytic amount of two sulfinyl analogues of NAD^+ model compounds is reported. Lophenol, cholest-4α-methyl-7-en-3β-ol (1), obtained from Dracaena cochinchinensis (Lour.) S. C. Chen, was structurally modified. It was acetylated to protect 3β-hydroxyl group, and then oxidised by selenium dioxide in acetic acid to give cholest-4a-methyl-8-en-3β, Ta-diol diacetate (3). This compound 3 is unstable in chloroform solution or when heated and easily converted to a diene compound, cholest-4a-methyl-7,14-dien-3β-ol acetate (4). The structures of 3 and 4 were elucidated by means of IR, ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR and MS, and the absolute configuration of 3 was established by X-ray crystallography. The property of 3 was also discussed in this paper. Both 3 and 4 are new compounds and were reported for the first time. 相似文献

The cross-coupling reaction of trans-alkenylboronic acids with a-bromoacetic esters was firstly studied. The γ-radiation effect of polypropylene was investigated in the presence of three kinds of p-tert-butylcalix[n]arene (n=4, 6, 8) in air at ambient temperature. The influence of radiation dose and store time upon the mechanical properties of the irradiated PP sheets were measured. The results showed that the radiation stabilization was reduced with the increase of the ring size of calixarenes. Based on the mass spectra and the analysis of post-irradiated product, the mechanism of radiation degradation of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene has been proposed. 相似文献

Those reactions with α-bromomethylsulfones gave the products in moderate to good yields.
