Summary By fractionating the initial water-soluble polysaccharide from the tuberous roots ofEremurus altaicus, a homogeneous naturally acetylated glucomannan with a molecular weight of 108,000–120,000 has been isolated.On the basis of the results of periodate oxidation and methylation and a study of the products of partial cleavage of the glycosidic bonds, the structure of a repeating heptasaccharide section of the chain consisting of -14-linked D-glucopyranose (2 moles) and D-mannopyranose (5 moles) residues has been established. The glucomannan apparently contains 95–100 such sections. Summary The reduction of iodate by hydrazine was examined by use of the iodide ion selective electrode. The rate of reduction of iodate at iodide concentrations below 5 × 10–5 M is controlled by the direct reduction by hydrazine. At higher iodide concentrations, the rate of reduction of iodate is controlled by the reduction of iodate by iodide with the subsequent reduction of iodine by hydrazine. Application of the reaction to the determination of g quantities of iodine is discussed.
Zusammenfassung Die Reduktion von Jodat mit Hydrazin wurde mit Hilfe einer jodid-spezifischen Elektrode untersucht. Das Ausmaß der Jodatreduktion bei Jodid-konzentrationen unter 5·10–5 Mol/l wurde durch direkte Reduktion mit Hydrazin kontrolliert. Bei höheren Jodidkonzentrationen wurde das Reduk-tionsausmaß des Jodats mit Hilfe der Jodat-Jodid-Reaktion und erst dann durch Reduktion des Jodids mit Hydrazin kontrolliert. Die Anwendung auf die Bestimmung von g-Mengen Jodid wurde diskutiert.

Isothermal annealing at temperatures between 90 and 250°C and radiation annealing at 40, –76 and –196°C were studied in sodium periodate crystals doped by rapid crystallization and by spray techniques. The results showed the occurrence of transfer annealing because the dopant was converted to the oxidized forms of iodate and periodate depending on the treatment conditions. Similarities with the annealing behaviour of recoil species in neutron irradiated periodate systems are established and the Bellido and Wiles stepwise oxidation model is used to explain the mechanism of the processes.  相似文献

A novel nano-TiO2 polymer modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode was developed for the determination of an organophosphorous pesticide, fenitrothion (-NO2), in citrate buffer solution. The electrochemical behavior of fenitrothion was characterized by using cyclic voltammetry. An irreversible form, -NO2, was transformed into a reversible redox couple (-NHOH/-NO), and it can be used to determine trace fenitrothion by square wave voltammetry. The experimental parameters, such as film thickness, pH value, accumulation potential and time were optimized. Interestingly, a cyclic voltammetric scan was observed to be more effective than a constant potential for the accumulation of fenitrothion. A linear response over a fenitrothion concentration of 2.5×10–8 to 1.0×10–5M was exhibited, with a detection limit of 1.0×10–8M (S/N=3). The high sensitivity and selectivity of this film electrode was demonstrated by its practical application to the determination of trace amounts of fenitrothion in lake water and apple samples.  相似文献

The absorption spectra of 4f electron transitions of the complexes of neodymium and erbium with 5,7-dibromo-8-hydroxyquinoline in the presence of octylphenol poly(ethyleneglycol)ether have been studied by normal and third-derivative spectrophotometry. The proposed method is free of interference of other rare earths. The calibration graphs were linear up to 18 g/ml of neodymium and 21 g/ml of erbium (in the final solution). The derivative molar absorptivities are 395 l.mol–1.cm–1 for neodymium and 3421.mol–1.cm–1 for erbium. The corresponding values of Sandell's sensitivity were 0.36 and 0.49 g.cm–1, respectively. The relative standard deviations evaluated from ten independent determinations of 2.5 g/ml of neodymium and erbium are 1.5 and 3.8% for neodymium and 1.8 and 4.1% for erbium in absence and presence of 70 g of lanthanum, respectively. The detection limits (signal to noise ratio=2) are 0.23 g/ml for neodymium and 0.30 g/ml for erbium. The method has been used for the determination of neodymium and erbium in mixed rare earths with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Under the experimental conditions [DMSO]T [CeIV]T [Os]T the kinetics of oxidation of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) to dimethylsulfone (DMSO2) have been followed at different temperatures (40–55°C) in 1.0 mol dm–3 sulfuric acid media. The rate of disappearance of [CeIV] shows a first-order dependence on both [Os]T and [DMSO]T and zeroth-order kinetics with respect to [CeIV]. The suggested mechanism involves oxidation of DMSO by OsVIII in a rate-determining step through an outer-sphere mechanism, followed by rapid regeneration of OsVIII by CeIV from OsVI. The rate law conforms to: –d[CeIV]/dt=k0=k[Os]T[DMSO]T. The values of k and the activation parameters are: 102k=(4.9 ± 0.10) mol–1 dm3 s–1 at 40°C, [H2SO4] =1.0 mol dm–3;H=58±3kJmol–1, S= –88 ±5JK–1mol–1.  相似文献

A simple, precise, sensitive and accurate method was developed for rapid determination of trace quantities of periodate. The method is based on the accelerating effect of periodate on the reaction of bromate and hydrochloric acid in the presence of hydrazine. The decolorization of methyl orange with the reaction products was used to monitor the reaction spectrophotometrically at 525 nm. Periodate could be determined in the concentration ranges of 0.02–1.5 g/mL. The relative standard deviation for ten replicate determinations of 0.3 g/mL of periodate was 1.12%. The method was applied to the determination of periodate in water samples and indirect determination of ethylene glycol in gasoline and glycerol in vegetable oil via Malaprade reaction with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The reaction of diazocyclopropane, generated in situ by alkaline hydrolysis of N-nitroso-N-cyclopropylurea at –20 to –40C, with the double bond of norbornene hydrocarbons or 3,3-dimethylcyclopropene is a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and affords 45–70% yields of thermally stable 1-pyrazolines possessing a spiro-joined cyclopropane fragment. The fabrication and electrochemical characteristics of a penicillamine (PCA) self-assembled monolayer modified gold electrode were investigated. The self-assembled electrode shows obvious electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of epinephrine (EP). In phosphate buffer (pH 7.73), a sensitive oxidation peak was observed at 0.190V with the PCA modified Au electrode. The peak current is proportional to the concentration of EP in the range of 2.0×10–56.0×10–4molL–1 and 5.0×10–6 2.0×10–4molL–1 for cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) with the detection limits of 1.8×10–7 and 1.3×10–7molL–1, respectively. The possible reaction mechanism is also discussed. The PCA self-assembled monolayer modified gold electrode is highly stable and can be applied to the determination of EP in practical injection samples. Application is simple, rapid and produces accurate results.  相似文献

A method for the determination of aldrin, dieldrin, DDT, DDE, and DDD contamination in animal fats (beef tallow, lard, and chicken fat) without using toxic reagents is developed, that uses high-performance liquid chromatography after the sample has been prepared by matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) with acidic alumina oxide. A reversed-phase C1-silica column with a mobile phase of 50% (v/v) ethanol solution (in water) and a photo-diode array detector were used for the determination. Average recoveries of the target compounds (0.2–5.0 g g–1) ranged from 84–98%, with coefficients of variation of <5%. The limits of quantitation were 0.16 g g–1 for AD, 0.10 g g–1 for DD, 0.06 g g–1 for DDT, 0.07 g g–1 for DDE, and 0.05 g g–1 for DDD. No toxic reagents were used at all.  相似文献

The complexation of UO2 +2 and Th+4 ions with 2-mercaptoethanol has been studied by potentiometric and conductometric titration techniques. Uranyl ion forms 11 and 12 complexes in the pH-range 3.3–6.5 and thorium ion forms 12, 13, and 14 complexes in the pH-range 3.2–4.8 with considerable overlapping. Their logk stab. values are determined at 10, 20, and 30°C at ionic strength =0.1M (NaClO4) by applyingCalvin-Melchior's extension of theBjerrum method. The overall changes in thermodynamic functions G, H, and S accompanying complexation determined at 20°C are –19.48 kcal/mole, –22.77 kcal/mole, –11.23 cal/deg·mole for uranyl complexes and –33.94 kcal/mole, –4.93 kcal/mole, 99.00 kcal/deg·mole for thorium complexes, resp.  相似文献

Complexation in the Eu(III)–methacycline and Eu(III)–methacycline–hydrogen peroxide systems was studied by luminescence. It was proposed to use the studied complexes as analytical forms for the luminescence determination of methacycline in blood plasma (lower determination limit 2.5 g/mL) and urine (25 g/mL) and for the indirect determination of 0.025–0.7 mM glucose in blood plasma.  相似文献

2,3-Dihydroxypyridine loaded (via –N=N–linker) Amberlite XAD-2 (AXAD-2-DHP) was prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, TGA and FT-IR spectra. It (1g packed in a column of 1cm diameter; surface area 135.5m2g–1) was found to be an effective solid phase sorbent for enriching Zn2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+ and Co2+ at pH 3.5 to 7.0 using flow rates between 1.0–5.0mLmin–1. For desorption (recovery 97.0–99.8%) of the metal ions, 8 to 10mL of 2.0molL–1 HCl or 1.5molL–1 HNO3 at a flow rate of between 2.0 and 4.0mLmin–1 were found most suitable. The t1/2 (time for 50% sorption) is between 2 and 10min when a 50mL solution (containing a total amount of metal of 2mg) was equilibrated with 0.5g of resin. Sorption of all metal ions except Pb2+ follows the Langmuir model, whereas for Pb the data fits with the Freundlich model. The sorption capacity is between 60.7 (for Cd) and 406.7 (for Cu) µmolg–1. The resin can withstand an acid concentration of 6molL–1 and can be reused for thirty cycles of sorption–desorption. The preconcentration factor varies between 100 and 300. For Cd, Ni and Cu the sorption capacity of 2,3-dihydroxypyridine loaded cellulose is lower than that of the present resin. The tolerance limits of electrolytes, humic acid, complexing agents, Ca2+ and Mg2+ in the enrichment of all metal ions are reported. The limits of detection are 3.88, 5.37, 8.72, 13.88, 4.71, 1.24, 0.59 and 0.30µgL–1 for Zn2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+ and Co2+, respectively. The calibration curves for flame AAS determination were linear in the ranges 0.018–1.0, 0.067–5.0, 0.2–5.0, 0.9–20, 0.028–2.0, 0.077–5.0, 0.19–10 and 0.1–3.5µgmL–1, respectively. All the eight metal ions in river and synthetic water samples, Co in vitamin tablets and Zn in milk samples have been quantitatively enriched with Amberlite XAD-2-DHP and determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献

The preparation of the nickel(II) complex of the diazacyclam ligand 1,3,6,10,12,15-hexaazatricyclo [13.3.1.16,10]eicosane (2) by the reaction of the nickel(II) complex of N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane with formaldehyde in MeOH solution is described. The crystal structure of [NiL](ClO4)2 has been determined. The nickel atom is four coordinate and planar with Ni-N bond lengths of 1.969(4) and 1.928(3)Å in a centrosymmetric structure. The basic diazacyclam ring system has a trans III configuration with the two additional six-membered rings fused in a chair conformation.The kinetics of the metal exchange:for the nickel complexes (1) and (2) have been studied in detail. Under the experimental conditions employed, with copper(II) in at least a tenfold excess, the reaction is independent of the copper(II) concentration. The copper(II) effectively scavenges the free ligand as the nickel(II) complex dissociates. For the nickel complex (1) k = 2 × 10–4 s–1 at 60°C and H = 126 ± 5 kJmol–1 and S298 = 61 ± 15 JK–1mol–1. For the complex (2), k = 1.8 × 10–4 s–1 at 60°C and H = 99 ± 6 kJmol–1 and S298 = –21 ± 10 JK–1 mol–1.  相似文献
