CAPILLARY ZONE ELECTROPHORESIS OF NONOSACCHARIDES

A method for the analysis of monosaccharides derived from glycoproteinsand glycolipids was described using the newly developed technique ofcapillary zone electrophoresis(CZE).It is found that,at ca.0.5-5 nL in-jection,CZE can offer a high resolution of most monoses from glycoproteinand glycolipids.A mixture of amino-and non-aminomonosaccharides,which isdifficult to separate with chromatographic methods,was separated complet-ely by CZE in borate buffer after the monosaccharides were derivatizedwith 1-naphthylamine.     

CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORETIC SEPARATION OF GANGLIOSIDES USING CYCLODEXTRIN AS BUFFER ADDITIVE

A new method for the rapid separation of gangliosides(GLS)by capillaryelectrophoresis(CE)is described which is based on the use of β—cyclodextrin(β—CD)asbuffer additive.The effects of β—CD concentration,pH,electrolyte composition were dis-cussed.Under optimum conditions,the complete separation of a mixture of GM1,GD1a,GD1b and GT1b was obtained within 5 min.

SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF EPHEDRINE AND ITS ANALOGUES IN URINE BY CAPILLARY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY

A method is developed for the simultaneous determination ofephedrine,pseudoephedrine,norephedrine,norpseudoephedrine andmethylephedrine in urine on a capillary column using nitrogen-phosphorusdetector.Diphenylamine is used as the internal standard.Calibrationgraphs are linear down to 1.30ug/ml urine.     

A NOVEL DERIVATIVE OF β-CYCLODEXTRIN AS CHIRAL SIATIONARY PHASE IN CAPILLARY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY

A novel β-cyclodextrin derivative, 2, 6-di-O-butyl-3-O-acetyl-β-cyclodex-trin, was prepared and used as chiral stationary phase for capillary gas chromato-graphic resolution of enantiomers, lhe glass capillary columns with the derivativehaving low melting point and high thermal stability could produce more than 3000plates per column meter and have proven to be good chlral columns to separate theenantiomers of some amino acids, derivatives of epoxy ethane and alkyl halide, etc.

DETERMINATION OF SENSITIZATION IN AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL

The electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation technique(EPR) and the potentiostatic pulse technique(PPT) have been used to detect sensitization of austenitic stainless steel. Compared with EPR, PPT has some advantages such as it can be conducted at greater speed and with less destruction, etc. The sensitivity of PPT can be improved by altering t_1/t_2 in a certain range and it will favour the detection of the specimen with lower degree of sensitization.

DETERMINATION OF DEGREE OF CHARGE TRANSFER IN CONDUCTING LANGMUIR-BLODGETT FILM OF BEDT-TTF-TCNQ

A mixed Langmuir-Blodgett film was built up by mixture 1:1 of bis(ethyldithio)tetrathiafulvalene-tetracyanoquinodimethane/stearie acid(BEDT-TTF-TCNQ/SA).A degree of charge transfer(CT)in complex of BEDT-TTF with TCNQ wasestimated at 0.477～0,486 by Raman frequencies of central Vc=c and Vc-s,The existenceof charge transfer in BEDT-TTF-TCNQ has been confirmed by FTIR and XPSspectroscopy.     

THE ROLE OF INSULIN MEDIATORS IN REGULATION OF cAMP AND LIPOGENESIS AS WELL AS IN DIABETES

Plasma membranes prepared from pig, mouse and rat liver incubated with insulin resulted in the release of at least two insulin chemical mediators. These mediators, identified as fractions 1 and 3, were found to inhibit cAMP level in response to lipolytic hormone and forskolin and to enhance lipogenesis in adipocytes of rat. Fractions 1 and 3 have been estimated to have molecular weights of 3700—4000 and 1000—1500 dalton, respectively. This initial report will focus on fraction 1.Interestingly, liver membranes from diabetic animals were found not to release mediators in the presence of insulin. However, following in vivo treatment of diabetic animals with insulin, the liver membranes appeared to restore its ability in generating chemical mediators in response to insulin.     

OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI-STEP LINEAR PROGRAMME TEMPERATURE IN CAPILLARY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY

An optimal method to select the optimal temperature of multi-step linear programme temperature in capillary gas chromatography, by simultaneously considering the effects of column temperature and differences of column distance to be moved on resolution and analytical times, has been developed. We called this optimal method a moving overlapping resolution mapping method because the immigrating position of solute in column is traced. The validity of this optimal method has been verified.

FLUORIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF TETRACYCLINE IN SERUM AND URINE

The Eu-Tetracycline(TC)-TOPO-sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS)system wasstudied,Experiments showed that the maximum fluorescence intensity was obtainedin the pH range of 7.5-8.7 and the concentrations of Eu~(a+),TOPO and SDS are1.0×10~(-6)mol/L,1.0×10~(-8)mol/L and 1.0×10~(-8)mol/L,respectively,This fluorescencesystem can be used for the determination of TC in serum and urine,Beer's Law isobeyed in the range of 2.0×10~(-8)mol/L=1.0×10~(-6)mol/L for the concentration of TC.The determination limit is 1.2×10~(-8)mol/L,The composition and the luminescencemechanism were discussed.
